Objective : The purpose of this study was to investigate parental perspectives on cognitive rehabilitation using a combination of phenomenological research methodology and word cloud analysis. Methods : Interviews were conducted with five parents of children with developmental disabilities. Word cloud analysis was conducted using Python, and five researchers analyzed the meaning units and themes using phenomenological methods. Words with high frequency were considered as a heuristic tool. Results : A total of 43 meaning units and nine components related to the phenomenon of cognitive rehabilitation were derived, and three themes were finalized. The main themes encompassed the definition of cognitive rehabilitation, challenges associated with cognitive rehabilitation, and factors influencing the selection of a cognitive rehabilitation institute. Cognitive rehabilitation emerged as a treatment focused on improving learning, daily functioning, and cognitive abilities in children with developmental disabilities. The perceived issues with cognitive rehabilitation pertained to treatment methods, therapist expertise, and associated costs. In addition, parents highlighted the importance of therapist expertise, humane personality, and affordability of cost and schedule when choosing a cognitive rehabilitation institute. Conclusion : Parents expressed expectations for substantial improvements in their children's daily functioning through cognitive rehabilitation. However, challenges were identified in clinical practices. Going forward, we expect that cognitive rehabilitation will evolve into a better therapeutic support service addressing the concerns raised by parents.

최근 다양한 연구를 통하여 전신 진동기 운동이 신체의 근골격계, 순환계 및 내분비계 등에 효과적임이 보고되고 있다. 특히 전신 진동운동이 노인의 낙상예방, 파킨슨 및 뇌졸중 환자와 같은 신경학적 질환자의 자세조절 및 기능향상을 위한 재활치료 방법으로 효과가 있다고 밝혀졌다. 그러나 아직까지 전신 진동운동에 적합한 의료 허가를 받은 제품이 없으며, 일부 유사한 진동감을 제공하는 기기를 위주로 제작되고 있는 상황이다. 추후 의료기기의 수요를 고려할 때 고령사회로의 진입 속도가 빨라짐에 따라 노인들에게 적합한 진동기의 개발이 필요하다. 노인들은 운동참여에 보수적이며 사회성이 떨어지기 때문에 운동기의 기능적 요건과 더불어 참여를 유도하는 환경 요인을 함께 제공할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 진동 운동기를 이용한 운동 효과를 분석하고 전신 진동운동에 적합한 가상현실 컨텐츠를 제시하였으며, 국내외 개발 및 연구 중인 기기와 컨텐츠 개발 동향을 제시하였다.

Methods Key words such as rotator cuff surgery and acupuncture were searched in 10 databases (Ovid-Medline, Ovid-EMBASE, Ovid-AMED, Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure [CNKI], National Digital Science Library [NDSL], Koreanstudies Information Service System [KISS], Oriental medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System [OASIS], KoreaMed, KMBASE), and only suitable randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were selected. Results 6 RCTs were finally selected, and acupuncture showed positive results for pain relief and functional recovery after rotator cuff surgery. However, the analyzed 6 RCTs showed a high overall risk of bias. Conclusions In the future, RCTs with a higher level of evidence on the effect of acupuncture after rotator cuff surgery need to be continuously conducted.

Objective : The aim of this study was to compare the sociodemographic characteristics, depression, quality of life, and unmet medical need in elders with and without limitation of activity by aging or dementia. Method : The data were used for raw data of seventh national health and nutrition examination survey (2016). We compared sociodemographic characteristics, depression, quality of life, and unmet medical needs between elders with limitation of activity by aging or dementia (n = 32) and elders without limitation of activity (n = 1201). Result : Elders with limitation of activity were significantly older than elders without limitation of activity (p<.001), income was lower (p<.05) and married status had more bereavement (p<.001). The elders with limitation of activity had higher depression (p<.001) and lower quality of life (p<.001) than elders without limitation of activity. Unmet medical need was greater than elders without limitation of activity (p<.001). Conclusion : Elders with limitation of activity showed that they did not receive enough medical services than elders without limitation of activity. These results suggest that the welfare system for the health care of population with aging or dementia needs to be improved.

Objective : The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of rehabilitation therapists' general characteristics and job involvement on stress. The subjects of this study were occupational therapists and physical therapists working for long-term hospitals and general hospitals located in K and B cities, South Korea. Methods : The study investigated general characteristics, job stress, and job involvement by using questionnaires. Analysis conducted on total 144 questionnaires excluding 19 questionnaires, which did not satisfy the subject selection criteria. Results : The results show that job involvement had significantly positive correlations with job requirement, job autonomy, relationship conflicts, organization system, inappropriate compensation, job instability, and workplace culture. Secondly, marital status, wage level, and job engagement explained 46.6% of variations in job stress. Conclusion : The study was meaningful in examining the variables influencing the job stress of rehabilitation therapists. We expect that it can be used for improving the job environment of rehabilitation therapists.

COPD의 치료에 대해 약술하였다. 예방을 위해서는 개인적으로는 금연, 국가사회적으로는 공해의 해결이 필요하며 진행된 질병에서는 진행을 막기 위한 감염의 예방 및 감염시 즉각적인 항균제 치료, 필요에 따라서 항염증제, 그리고 생활의 질을 높이기 위해서 각종 재활요법이 필요하다. 원활한 재활요법을 위해서는 필요한 기구 장비의 구입이 쉬워야 하고 치료진에서는 호흡기 전문의사, 호흡치료사, 의료기사, 병원 및 가정간호사, 사회사업가(social worker), 정신과의사, 영양사 등의 팀으로의 접근이 필요하고 제도적으로 보험적용이 되도록 해야 하겠다. 불구가 심한 예에서는 폐이식이 시도되며 기술적인 문제는 다소 해결된듯하나 장기공여자 등의 문제로 보편화되지는 않고 있다.

The health care services are the most basic social institutions that are provided to citizen including disabled persons for improvement of health. However, the study of the difference of health care services according to the speech therapy use in the people with speech-language disorders was insufficient. The aim of this investigation was to compare the awareness of health care services and characteristics of people with speech-language disorders according to speech therapy use. The researchers selected 229 people with language disorder using raw data of National Survey of the Disabled Person (2017). We compared the characteristics and health care services of people with speech-language disorders by distinguishing between speech therapy non-users and speech therapy users. Among the 229 people with language disorder, speech therapy users were 37 persons (16.2%). In comparison with non-users, users were younger, more preschoolers, more family incomes, and intellectual disabilities and autistic disorder were the most common types of disability enrollment. Users had a lower proportion of unmet medical needs than non-users. For the reasons of unmet medical need, there were 6.8% and 6.3% of the "economic reasons" and "communication difficulties" Both users and non-users responded that "disability management services" need to be strengthened by the government. In conclusion, we suggest that access to health care services needs to be increased to lower the barriers of speech therapy use.

As society becomes more complex and advanced, the risk of accidents is inevitably increased, and this is an opportunity to increase the occurrence of not only congenital disabilities but also acquired disabilities. In this situation, the use of rehabilitation robots, a complex of advanced technologies, is expected to increase steadily in the future. So the authors would take a look the technological trends and future development prospects of domestic and foreign rehabilitation robots. Until now, disability assistive robot technology has been mainly developed in the field of supporting disability with walking disabilities or work limitations rather than cognitive disabilities. However, another issue of population aging is that cognitive impairment has the potential to increase, so development of a disability assistance robot that secures user safety must be actively promoted. As the Medical Serious Games are recently proven effective, the quality evaluation of the game has become an important issue. In quality evaluation, objective criteria and evaluation elements are important. Quality evaluation of the serious game is divided into two areas : the technical (from the point of view of Program) and the non-technical (from the point of view of Content). In this study, we developed the quality evaluation element of the non-technical area to the psychotherapy and the health & rehab game according to developing process of quality evaluation model. We extracted five evaluation elements from the two kinds of medical games, and interviewed with medical experts in order to ensure the validity of them. The goodness of fit tests for the elements mentioned above were verified by conducting. Chi-square test results for the two groups did not differ significantly. In conclusion, we expect to take advantage of the results of this study to design and develop serious games for medical treatment.
