Usability Evaluation for Medical Institutions Websites (의료기관 웹 사이트에 대한 사용성 평가)

  • 웹 사용성(Web usability)은 웹 사이트 이용자가 원하는 목표를 보다 쉽게 달성하도록 시스템을 설계하는 것으로 이용의 편이성을 말한다. 본 연구에서는 국내 의료기관 웹 사이트를 대상으로 사용성 평가를 실시하고 그 결과를 분석하였다. 의료기관을 종합병원, 대학병원, 일반병원 3개의 그룹으로 나누고 각 그룹에서 4개씩 총 12개 병원을 선정하여 평가하였으며, 사용성 평가를 위해 평가 전설문지, 태스크 수행 평가, 평가 후 설문지 그리고 평가자 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 설문지 결과와 인터뷰 결과를 볼 때, 대다수의 병원들이 예약과 취소, 정보검색 등 웹 서비스 제공에 노력을 기울이고 있지만 실제 사용자는 병원의 주요 서비스를 이용하는데 있어서 편리하다고 느끼지 않는 것으로 조사되었다. 태스크 수행 평가 결과를 살펴보면, 대학병원은 다른 그룹과 비교해 볼 때 비교적 사용성을 고려하여 잘 설계되었으나 서비스 절차의 단순화 작업이 필요하다고 판단되며, 일반병원의 경우 태스크 수행과 관련된 서비스 자체가 제공되지 않거나 체계적이지 못한 경우가 있어 개선이 필요하였다.

Usability Evaluation for Hospital Web sites in Korea (국내 의료기관 웹 사이트에 대한 사용성 평가)

  • In this study, we evaluated web usability for hospital web sites in Korea and analyzed the evaluation results of web usability. Estimators investigated twelve hospital web sites and answered a questionnaire. They also performed predefined tasks which were frequently used services in hospital web sites. We had an interview with the estimator for finding what happened in process of evaluating usability. The evaluation results showed that university hospital provided comparatively better web usability for users. But ambiguous and complicated user interface caused confusion among users. The simplifications of service processes and interfaces were necessary to improve web usability. Some hospitals did not offer primary web services and their services related to the tasks were not systematic.

Web Accessibility of Healthcare Websites of Korean Government and Public Agencies: Automated and Expert Evaluations (정부 및 공공기관의 보건 관련 웹 사이트의 웹 접근성 - 자동 및 전문가 평가 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify Web accessibility issues of healthcare websites of the Korean government and public agencies by evaluating these websites' accessibility in accordance with the Korean Web Contents Accessibility Guideline. This study conducted both automated and expert testing to assess the accessibility of a total of 27 health-related websites. The results of the assessment which was conducted in two stages indicated that institutions such as the National Hospital and National Rehabilitation Center demonstrated almost no Web accessibility error. In addition, the Korea Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service, the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Health Services Agency, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, and the Korea Medical Dispute Mediation and Arbitration Agency attained very high web accessibility. However, the results of an expert evaluation highlighted that there were considerable errors in providing appropriate alternative text, which was not found in the automated test, and the color contrast of the text content did not comply with Web accessibility standard. Therefore, these websites did not support web accessibility for the sight-impaired. Furthermore, the present study found that it was difficult to deliver accurate information to users due to errors in the default language display and markup, and also, issues of skipping repeated content, content linearization, and compliance with keyboard use were considered as challenges that might arise for people with sight, cognitive and mobility impairments with respect to Web accessibility. It is the first study that evaluated accessibility of healthcare websites of the Korean government and public agencies based on the Korean Web Contents Accessibility Guideline. The present study made a contribution to research on Web accessibility by conducting expert testing, which provided a more complete assessment that identified the degree and specific issues of accessibility errors when compared to automated testing.

Web Accessibility Evaluation of Domestic Broadcasting System (국내 언론사 사이트의 웹 접근성 평가)

  • The obligation of web accessibility in public center, education center, medical center and rehabilitation center started from 2009 has plan to adapt it to a corporation and culture and art until 2015 by stages. This study analysed in the aspect of statistics how well the domestic broadcasting system follows web accessibility which was evaluated by six automatic checking guidelines provided in KWA-H 4.3 automatic evaluation device. With Kruskal-Wallis' test result of nonparametric analysis, an item of basic language statement seemed to be highly followed(p=0.041) with broadcasting system> internet newspaper> the daily press> sports newspaper in order. An item of label offering was followed(p=0.015) with sports newspaper> broadcasting system> the daily press> internet newspaper in order.

  • 청각장애인은 수화 언어, 즉 수어를 통해 의사소통한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 의료 상황에서 청각 장애인이 겪는 소통의 어려움을 해결하기 위해 의료 상황 중심의 수어 데이터셋을 구축한 뒤, R(2+1)D 딥러닝 모델을 이용해 수어 동작을 영상 단위로 인식하고 분류할 수 있도록 하였다. 그리고 이를 Django를 이용한 웹 사이트로 만들어 사용할 수 있게 하였다. 이 웹 페이지는 청각장애인 개인 뿐만 아니라 의료 사회 전반적으로 긍정적인 효과를 줄 것으로 기대한다.

A Study on Information Security Management of Hospital Web Sites (의료기관 종별 웹 사이트 정보보안 관리 실태 연구)

  • In this paper, we evaluated web security vulnerability and privacy information management of hospital web sites which are registered at the Korea Hospital Association. Vulnerability Scanner (WVS) based on the OWASP Top 10 was used to evaluate the web security vulnerability of the web sites. And to evaluate the privacy information management, we used ten rules which were based on guidelines for protecting privacy information on web sites. From the results of the evaluation, we discovered tertiary hospitals had relatively excellent web security compared to other type of hospitals. But all the hospital types had not only high level vulnerabilities but also the other level of vulnerabilities. Additionally, 97% of the hospital web sites had a certain level of vulnerability, so a security inspection is needed to secure the web sites. We discovered a few SQL Injection and XSS vulnerabilities in the web sites of tertiary hospitals. However, these are very critical vulnerabilities, so all hospital types have to be inspected to protect their web sites against attacks from hacker. On the other hand, the inspection results of the tertiary hospitals for privacy information management had a better compliance rate than that of the other hospital types.

  • Phishing attacks have been implemented in smarter, more advanced ways with the passage of time. Hackers use intelligent phishing attacks to take over computers and to penetrate internal networks in major organizations. So, in this paper, a model for a prevention of phishing attack spread is conceptual designed in order to protect internal users and sensitive or important information from sophisticated phishing attacks. Internal users simultaneously utilize both external web and organizational mail services. And hackers can take the both side equally as a vector. Thus, packets in each service must be monitored and stored to recognize threatening elements from both sides. The model designed in this paper extends the mail server based security structure used in conventional studies for the protection of Internet mail services accessed by intranet users. This model can build a list of phishing sites as the system checks e-mails compared to that of the method that directly intercepts accesses to phishing sites using a proxy server, so it represents no standby time for request and response processes.

Evaluation of Web Sites on Treatment of Childhood and Adolescent Obesity (국내 인터넷 웹사이트에 소개된 소아 및 청소년 비만치료의 실태 및 문제점)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the quality and problems of Web sites for management of childhood and adolescent obesity. Methods: We evaluated 203 Web sites identified from the search engine, Korean Yahoo, using the word of 'childhood and adolescent obesity'. 203 Web sites were classified according to medical institutions, health information Web sites, beauty shops. etc. We surveyed whether childhood and adolescent obesity distinguished with adult obesity was considered, or not. and researched the unique managements of childhood and adolescent obesity including the cardinal treatment. Results: Of the 203 Web sites, 157(77.3%) provided detailed information about treatment of obesity, 46(22.7%) provided only simple information about one. The sites providing detailed information were composed of 52.2% of oriental medicine clinics, 35.0% of clinic & hospitals including pediatric hospitals. Distribution of the sites about management of childhood and adolescent obesity distinguished with adult's one was only 23% of oriental medicine clinics, but 93% of childrens hospitals. Conclusion: Without considering the speciality of childhood obesity, inaccurate information are distributing on internet web sites. It is necessary for concern and development of advertizing system on the internet distributing accurate information about treatment of childhood obesity.
