최근 오디오 압축 기술의 발전에 힘입은 디지털 음원과 웹 스트리밍의 보급으로, 사용자가 음악 정보에 손쉽게 접할 수 있게 되었다. 이에 따라 음악을 보다 쉽고 효율적인 방법으로 검색하는 방법뿐 아니라 사용자의 환경에 따라 적절한 음악을 검색할 수 있는 기능의 필요성이 증가하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 음악의 특징에 따라 분류된 데이터베이스를 사용하고, 사용자의 감정을 분석하여 적절한 음악을 검색하는 시스템을 제안한다. 본 시스템은 사용자의 감정 입력을 효율적으로 처리하기 위한 방법으로 Thayer의 2D emotional space를 적용하여 Valence-Arousal model의 두 가지의 입력을 처리한다. 가장 적합한 음악의 정보를 얻기 위해 사용된 Fuzzy Inference System의 IF-THEN 규칙을 정의하기 위하여 언어적으로 정의된 기존의 음악 감정 연구 결과를 적용하였고, 도출된 결과와 가장 유사도가 깊은 음악을 우선적으로 검색하도록 설계하였다. 이와 같이 구현된 시스템의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 사용자 설문조사를 수행하였다.

This study reconsidered the characteristics of the narrative through the analysis of the meaning and function of the film music in the feature film "The Truman Show". Especially, this study was focused on the music of Philip Glass among the film music of this film, and it started from the analysis of his musical meaning and function written in the pre-existing film according to the use of the editing music. As the film music needs to be analyzed from the viewpoint of the storytelling of the narrative of the film, the music is analyzed through 12 functions of the background music. Throughout the film, Philip Glass's music has been very important in the scenes of amplification, climax, and resolution of conflict. Especially, in the important context of the character and narrative structure of the film, such as the amplification of the tension and the resolution of the tension in the conflict of Truman, the main character of the film, Philip Glass's music is important through the contrast of the tempo of music and the contrast of emotional character. It can also be understood that this contrasts with the character and storytelling of the film in terms of film musical contrasts.

This paper presents a study on the performance of the music search based on the automatically recognized music-emotion labels. As in the other media data, such as speech, image, and video, a song can evoke certain emotions to the listeners. When people look for songs to listen, the emotions, evoked by songs, could be important points to consider. However; very little study has been done on the performance of the music-emotion labels to the music search. In this paper, we utilize the three axes of human music perception (valence, activity, tension) and the five basic emotion labels (happiness, sadness, tenderness, anger, fear) in measuring music similarity for music search. Experiments were conducted on both genre and singer datasets. The search accuracy of the proposed emotion-based music search was up to 75 % of that of the conventional feature-based music search. By combining the proposed emotion-based method with the feature-based method, we achieved up to 14 % improvement of search accuracy.

This study is a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design to verify the effect of music listening on convergent job stress of experimental group of 40 who are listening to music 10 times and control group of 40 who are taking a rest in fire-fighters. Homogeneity test and distribution of high risk and low risk were analyzed using Chi-test and the effect of listening to music on job stress was analyzed using t-test with SPSS 22.0 program. The experimental group showed a decreased job stress more significantly than the control group. Therefore, job stress intervention program should be developed and practical and systematical approach to reduce the job stress using music listening aggressively should be prepared in the future based on this study's result.

The purpose of this study was to investigate music therapists'use and perception of computer-based music technology. Questionnaires were distributed either electronically or in-person to 367 music therapists with credentials. Of the 367 initially distributed questionnaires, 101 were returned and 61 were analyzed after excluding 40 incomplete responses. The survey was comprised of two sections: the use of music technology and perceived importance of music technology in music therapy practice. The results showed that 65.6% of the respondents had used music technology in their clinical practice. The most frequently used type of music technology was Finale, followed by Garage band, and Cubase. With regard to the areas where music technology was used, it was implemented primarily for adolescents for musical or emotional goals, and was applied most frequently as a musical resource. In addition, most respondents showed a positive attitude toward music technology and added that they would need to be trained to use music technology for their clinical practice. These results provide practical information on how music therapists use and perceive computer-based music technology, and its implication for music therapy clinical practice.

The purpose of this analysis was to classify music therapy studies published in KCI journals to understand the type of research being conducted and trends in the research. This study analyzed 472 music therapy articles published in KCI journals from 2005 to October 31, 2017. The study analyzed the overall characteristics of the included studies, trends in each research field, study subjects, research types, and commonalities and differences between research fields. It was confirmed that the number of music therapy studies published in KCI journals steadily increased from 2005. The results also confirmed that the research subjects and types of music therapy research became more diverse. For example, earlier studies focused on participants with disabilities, but populations without disabilities were increasingly the focus of more recent studies. Similarly, earlier studies were mostly experimental or descriptive, but more recent research included historical, philosophical, and program development studies. The results of analysis confirm that music therapy research is evolving and being conducted in cooperation with many other fields. This article provides a snapshot of the current state of music therapy research and offers implications for the future of music therapy research with multidisciplinary characteristics.

The purpose of this study is to increase the development possibility of K-pop music by analyzing K-pop music and analyzing the use of world music in it. As a research method, we will first look at the world music elements Puerto Rico's reggaeton, Jamaica's toasting, and the melody of Indian music. After that, we analyze two songs, Hyo-yeon's and Hyun-A & Dawn's , with rhythm and melody elements to find out the utilization of World Music. As a result of the study, it was found that it rhythmically showed the type of Dembow rhythm derived from Puerto Rico's reggaeton, and melody followed the form of Jamaican toasting and the melody of Arabic music. This study is meaningful in presenting the possibility of development and various directions of K-pop in the future by analyzing the use of world music used in K-pop music. Through the convergence of various world music and K-pop, I hope that K-pop music will become a culture that is supported by a wider public.

팝의 역사에 있어 수많은 장르의 음악들은 여러 뮤지션들의 끊임없는 창작활동에 대한 노력의 결과로 생겨나고 발전 되었다. 그중에서도 밴드 "토토(Toto)"의 드러머 "제프 포카로"는 한 가지 장르가 아닌 여러 다양한 장르의 음악들을 크로스오버 하여 자신만의 음악세계를 성공적으로 구축했다. 그의 음악활동을 연구함으로서 뮤지션으로서 실험적이고 예술가적인 도전정신을 분석해 보고자 한다.

최근 스마트폰에 제공되는 다양한 추천 어플리케이션 중 음악 추천 어플리케이션은 사용자의 감정 조절을 위해 도움이 될 수 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 음악을 분석하고 사용자의 감정에 따라 노래를 추천해주는 뮤직플레이어를 설계하였다. 감정에 맞는 음악을 자신의 취향에 맞게 추천 받음으로서 사용자는 감정을 조절하는데 도움을 받을 수 있다.
