Development of an Unmanned Land-Based Shrimp Farm Integrated Monitoring System (무인 육상 새우 양식장 통합 모니터링 시스템 개발)

  • Land shrimp farms can control the growth environment more stably than coastal ones, making them advantageous for high-quality, large-scale production. In order to maintain an optimal shrimp growth environment, various factors such as water circulation, maintaining appropriate water temperature, oxygen supply, and feed supply must be managed. In particular, failure to properly manage water quality can lead to the death of shrimp, making it difficult to have people stationed at the farm 24 hours a day to continuously manage them. In this paper, to solve this problem, we design an integrated monitoring system for land farms that can be operated with minimal manpower. The proposed design plan uses IoT technology to collect real-time images of land farms, pump status, water quality data, and energy usage and transmit them to the server. Through web interfaces and smartphone apps, administrators can check the status of the farm stored on the server anytime, anywhere in real time and take necessary measures. Therefore, it is possible to significantly reduce field work hours without the need for managers to reside in the farm.

Convergence analysis on the effects of smoking and drinking on quality of life in Adults (성인의 흡연 및 음주형태가 삶의 질에 미치는 영향의 융합적 분석)

  • This study was conducted to analyze the effects of smoking and drinking on quality of life in Adults. The content was analyzed for aged 30 years or older using data from the 7th National Health and Nutrition Survey(2017). The total number of subjects of this study was 5,465. Socio-demographic characteristics, health-related variables and EQ-5D index scores were used for the analysis. Statistical analysis was performed using the IBM SPSS ver.23 program. As a result of the analysis, there were statistically significant differences in smoking status, binge drinking, subjective health status and stress perception with quality of life. In the regression after adjusting the control variables, 'the amount of alcohol consumed at once(β=.106)' was statistically significant. However smoking status and binge drinking were not statistically significant. Therefore, it is necessary to develop Convergence drinking intervention program to improve the quality of life in adults.

열목어 생식선자극호르몬의 cDNA cloning 및 CHO 세포를 이용한 발현검토

  • 경골어류의 뇌하수체에서는 두 종류의 생식선자극호르몬 (FSH, LH)이 생산되며, 이 호르몬들은 공통적인 α 쇄와 특이적인 β 쇄를 가진다. 연어과 어종들에서, FSH는 난황형성과 정자형성의 역할을 하며, LH는 배우자의 최종성숙을 조절한다. 냉수성 고유어종인 열목어 (Brachymystax lenok)의 멸종을 방지하고 종묘생산을 원활히 하기 위하여 먼저 열목어의 GTHα, FSHβ 및 LHβ 쇄를 cloning하여 염기서열을 결정하였다. 열목어 GTHα, FSHβ 및 LHβ의 cDNA는 산천어의 해당 cDNA와 높은 상동성 (각각 84, 95, 98%)을 보였다. 다음으로 기능적인 생식선자극호르몬을 제작하기 위해서 2개의 쇄를 single-strand로 연결하여 진핵세포를 숙주로하는 시스템에서 생식선자극호르몬을 생산할 수 있는 구조체인 FSHβ-GTHα (235 amino acids) 와 LHβ-GTHα (240 amino acids)를 각각 재조합하였다. 또한 각각의 융합단백질 생산용 구조체의 3'-말단에는 단백질추출이 용이하도록 histidine×6 구조를 첨가하였다. 이상의 단일쇄 FSH와 LH 유전자재조합 산물을 포유동물 유래의 세포 (CHO-K1)에 liposome chemical을 사용하여 유전자도입 후 세포에서 분비되는 단백질을 모니터링하였다. 배지를 부분정제한 후 SDS-PACE로 조사한 결과, LH 재조합 유전자를 도입한 후 48-60 시간째에 약 25 kDa의 단백질로서 관찰되었다. 현재 FSH 재조합 유전자에 대해서도 조사중이며, 향후 이를 재료로 하여 기능형 생식선자극호르몬을 생산하고 추출하기 위한 연구가 계속적으로 수행 될 것이다.

Production of Homozygous Transgenic Mud Loach (Misgurnus mizolepis) II. pFV4CAT Transfer by Microinjection (외래 유전자가 이식된 동형접합성 미꾸라지 생산 II. pFV4CAT이 이식된 $F_0$ 생산)

  • construct containing reporter gene(pFV4CAT) regulated by carp $\beta$-actin promoter was microinjected into the one-cell stage egg of mud loach (Misgurnus mizolepis), and was successfully expressed, possibly by the integration into the genome. Both mean hatching success and early survival of the microinjected groups were not significantly different with those of control groups (P>0.05). The incidence of transgene was ranged from 7 to 48% based on the PCR and/or Southern blot analyses with the DNA prepared from fin or blood tissue. The spatial and temporal patterns of expression of the pFV4CAT gene, measured by in situ immunohistochemical analysis peroxidase-conjugated anti-CAT antibody, were variable among the experimental individuals. These results suggest that carp $\beta$-actin promoter is effective to express other transgene in mud loach, such that this promoter can be useful in the generation of valuable transgenic mud loach.

  • Today, due to the increase in global population growth, the international community is discussing solving the food problem. The aquaculture industry is emerging as an alternative to solving the food problem. For the innovative growth of the aquaculture industry, smart fish farms that combine the fourth industrial technology are recently being distributed, and full-cycle digitalization is being promoted. Water quality sensors, which are important in the aquaculture industry, are electrochemical portable sensors that check water quality individually and intermittently, making it impossible to analyze and manage water quality in real time. Recently, optically-based monitoring sensors have been developed and applied, but the reliability of monitoring data cannot be guaranteed because the state information of the water quality sensor is unknown. Therefore, this paper proposes an algorithm representing self-diagnosis status such as Failure, Out of Specification, Maintenance Required, and Check Function based on monitoring data collected by water quality sensors to ensure data reliability.

An Analytical Study of Claude Debussy's (클로드 드뷔시의 <잊혀진 영상>에 관한 분석 연구)

  • Claude Debussy's is a solo piano piece written in 1894. However, for unknown reasons, the entire piece was not published until 1977, despite clear evidence that Debussy intended to publish it during his lifetime. Interestingly, the second movement of the three pieces comprised in the work was published independently in February 1896 through the Parisian periodical Le Grand Journal. Partly because the work was recently published, it remains relatively more unknown to pianists and music lovers than other piano solo pieces by Debussy. Thus, this article addresses in detail the compositional background of this work, focusing on why the work was not published during Debussy's lifetime. Furthermore, by analyzing this piece in detail, this article intends to discuss the stylistic characteristics of the work regarding its melody, phrase structure, harmony, and form. This survey, which would help understand the musical style embodied in this piece, aims to contribute to improving the awareness of the work.

Feeding Habits of Small Yellow Croaker, Larimichthys polyactis in Coastal Waters of Korea (한국 연안해역에 출현하는 참조기(Larimichthys polyactis)의 식성)

  • Total 418 Yellow Croaker Larimichthys polyactis were examined and the range of total length (TL) was 12.0~27.5 cm and average total length was 19.6 cm. The most important prey component in the diets of L. polyactis was Pisces that constituted 46.5% in %IRI (Index of relative importance). Euphausiacea was the second largest prey component. The result of analysis in ontogenetic and seasonal changes significantly exhibited. The proportion of Pisces increased as increasing body size, whereas the consumption of Macrura decreased gradually. The diets also were different among seasons, with the difference particularly being evident between warm (summer and autumn) and cold (winter and spring) seasons. Permutational multivariate analysis of variance (PERMANOVA) revealed significant dietary differences by seasons (P=0.001).

Survival, Physiological Responses, and Histological Changes in Korean Rockfish (Sebastes schlegelii) Exposed to Artificial Increase of Water Temperature (인위적 수온 상승에 노출된 조피볼락(Sebastes schlegelii) 치어의 생존율 및 스트레스 반응)

  • This study aimed to investigate the survival rates, hematologic responses, and histological responses of juvenile Korean rockfish (Sebastes schlegelii) exposed to artificial increase of water temperature. The water temperature was incrementally raised from the initial 23℃ to 26℃, 28℃, 30℃, and 31℃, with a 1℃ increase every 24 hours. The fish were exposed to each water temperature setting for a period of seven days. No mortality was observed at 26℃ and 28℃. However, at 30℃, mortality began on the 4th day of exposure, with an overall survival rate of 1.5% at the end of the seventh day. At 31℃, mortality occurred as early as the first day of exposure, and all fish had perished by the second day. Plasma cortisol and glucose concentrations increased as water temperature rose, with a significant decrease observed at 31℃. No significant difference in plasma GPT concentration was observed across the various experimental temperatures. In contrast, plasma GOT concentration significantly increased at 31℃. Histological examination revealed that both the liver and gills exhibited normal histology at the initial temperature of 23℃ and at 26℃. However, at 28℃ hepatocellular hypertrophy and gill lamellar epithelial hyperplasia and epithelial cell lifting were observed. At 30℃, hepatocellular condensation and gill lamellar fusion were noted. Finally, at 31℃, severe histological changes were observed, including hepatocellular necrosis, liver congestion, and gill filament necrosis.

Diet Composition and Feeding Strategy of Largehead Hairtail, Trichiurus japonicus in the South Sea of Korea (한국 남해에서 출현하는 갈치(Trichiurus japonicus)의 위내용물 조성과 섭식전략)

  • Diet composition and feeding strategy of the largehead hairtail, Trichiurus japonicas were studied using 375 specimens collected by purse seine, set net fisheries and lure fishing from February 2021 to January 2022 in the southern sea of Korea. The anal length (AL) of these specimens was from 3.4~49.0 cm. T. japonicus fed majorly on Fishes (especially Engraulis japonicus) based on ranking index (%RI=99.3). Fishes were the main prey items for all size classes. T. japonicas also showed size-related dietary shift from E. japonicus to T. japonicus, Larimichthys polyactis and Engraulidae. Fishes were the main prey items for all seasons. The main fish prey during spring and summer was E. japonicus, but in the autumn and winter, the E. japonicus portion decreased, and T. japonicus, L. polyactis, and Engraulidae portion increased. T. japonicus were specialized feeders with E. japonicus as their dominant prey.

Variables influencing somatic symptoms of cancer patients: focusing on trait anger and anger expression styles (암환자의 신체화 증상에 영향을 미치는 요인 : 특성 분노와 분노표현양식을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the somatic symptoms, trait anger, and anger expression styles perceived by cancer patients, examine their relationships, and identify variables influencing somatic symptoms. The mean of patients' somatic symptoms was 8.59 ± 5.34, trait anger was 1.78±0.53, and anger suppression was 2.02±0.36, which is the highest. In terms of differences in somatic symptoms according to the general characteristics of the subjects, stage 3 cancer stage was the highest compared to other stages(F=2.745, p=.045), and the presence of cancer-related pain was significantly higher compared to its absence(t=5.046, p<.001). Differences in trait anger according to the general characteristics of the patients were found to be significant based on monthly income(F=3.952, p=.004). Differences in anger expression styles were found by age(F=4.186, p=.017), monthly income(F=3.302, p=.012), and experience of cancer-related pain(t=2.715, p=.007) in anger suppression, while differences were observed by age(F=3.637, p=.028), employment status(t=2.563, p=.011), monthly income(F=3.580, p=.008), and duration of treatment(F=3.726, p=.026) in anger regulation. The somatic symptoms perceived by the patients had positive correlations with trait anger(r=.209, p=.006), anger suppression(r=.206, p=.006), anger expression(r=.199, p=.008), and anger regulation(r=.194, p=.009). It was found that a greater presence of cancer-related pain was related with a higher level of somatic symptoms of patients among other variables.
