This study aimed to review the literature on the effects of the meaning enhancement program for college students studied in Korea, and to analyze the content and formal characteristics and the meaning enhancement effects of the program for college students. The literature was collected for studies aimed at enhancing meaning of life in college students among research papers and dissertations published in Korea until May 2021. Six databases were used to conduct searches with 'logotherapy' in Korean and English OR "meaning therapy" OR "meaning of life" OR 'meaning'. Two independent researchers performed an assessment of bias risk and research quality using a standardized tool, with seven final selected papers. All seven meaning enhancement programs were effective in discovering the meaning of life among college students, and both single and merged interventions were found to be effective. In order to analyze the effect size of meaning enhancement programs for college students, randomized control experimental studies need to be conducted in the future.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of shoulder rehabilitation exercise convergence program. This study used a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. A sample of 58 patients undergoing shoulder surgery, was included. The experimental group was given shoulder rehabilitation exercise convergence program including audiovisual education, shoulder rehabilitation exercise and exercise monitoring. The data were collected using a structured questionnaire and measured range of motion(ROM) of shoulder joint and were analyzed using descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2-test$, t-test and ANCOVA. The experimental group reported significantly lower shoulder pain than control group(p<.001). Shoulder joint ROM and exercise self-efficacy were significantly higher in the experimental group than in the control group(p=.038; p<.001). This findings indicate that shoulder rehabilitation exercise convergence program can be an effective intervention for shoulder surgery patients. Continued development of convergence interventions for patients undergoing various conditions in practice, is suggested.
The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of bowel preparation convergence program for colonoscopy. This study used a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. A sample of 75 clients, who were scheduled for colonoscopy, was included. The experimental group was given bowel preparation convergence program including audiovisual education, walking-exercise and telephone counseling. The data were collected using a structured questionnaire and colonoscopy monitoring and were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 program. The experimental group reported significantly higher compliance of taking bowel preparation agents and test satisfaction(p=.002; p=.001), lower test difficulty and test discomfort than those of the control group(p=.002; p=.001). There were significant differences in level of bowel cleansing and test time required except compliance of diet restriction between groups(p<.001; p=.001; p=.108). This findings indicate that bowel preparation convergence program can be an effective nursing intervention for colonoscopy. The convergence intervention for diagnostic test is needed to be developed in clinical practice.

This study is a literature analysis study that analyzed program intervention research papers to understand the characteristics of lifestyle intervention programs to prevent cardiovascular disease. The final 18 papers were selected by applying search terms such as "cardio-cerebrovascular disease" and "intervention" through electronic databases such as Pubmed. As for the criteria for selecting program participants in the study, physiological criteria were mainly used, and there were many programs that mediated physical activity and eating habits. Education was the most widely used intervention type, and there were many studies that combined and applied several interventions. During the intervention period, long-term interventions averaged more than 22 weeks, and biophysical indicators were most frequently used as effect indicators for measuring the intervention effect. Through this study, it is suggested that environmental and social support is needed to develop intervention programs considering the interrelationship of various lifestyle habits and maintain healthy lifestyle habits.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of telephone intervention on the reduction of depression after the intervention for the elderly living alone during the COVID-19 pandemic. A one-group pretest and posttest design was used to examine changes in depression level following telephone intervention a once a week for 10 weeks. The subjects of this study were older adults aged 65 registered with 3 social welfare institutions in Wonju, and a total of 114 elderly completed a questionnaire before and after the intervention. Telephone intervention was provided by 56 nursing student volunteers, and each student was in charge of 2-3 elderly people. The depression score decreased from 6.59±3.74 before the intervention to 5.01±3.34 after the intervention (t=4.959, p<.001). Study findings suggest that telephone intervention is effective as an emotional support for the elderly living alone during the COVID-19 pandemic. Further research is needed to expand the scope of various subjects and regions, including the elderly not living alone.
Objective : The purpose of this study was to analyze non-invasive treatments and drooling assessment methods in children with cerebral palsy and developmental disabilities, who drool. Methods : This study searched two hundred papers published in 2005-2019. Forty-four papers were selected based on their abstract and title, and ten papers were finally selected following a secondary search. Results : The PEDro Scale of the selected papers was high with an average of seven points. As a result of analyzing the overall trends, the study participants were primarily patients with cerebral palsy, and recently, the therapeutic intervention of oral sensory exercise was more actively studied than behavioral modification. Studies of behavioral modification and oral sensory exercise intervention methods were found to have differences in participant age and, cognitive level, number of participants, research design, treatment time, and duration. Studies to confirming the frequency and severity of the drooling measurement method were found to be the main factor. Conclusion : This study analyzed typical behavioral modification and oral sensory exercise interventions as examples of non-invasive therapeutic interventions for children with cerebral palsy and developmental disabilities and provided information to help select appropriate therapeutic intervention methods when planning non-invasive therapy using behavioral modification and oral sensory exercise therapy.

Objective : This study aims to analyze the effects of visual perception intervention by systematically reviewing the studies that applied visual perception intervention to children with cerebral palsy. Methods : The databases used were PubMed, EMbase, Science Direct, ProQuest, Koreanstudies Information Service System (KISS), Research Information Sharing Service (RISS), and the National Assembly Library. The keywords used were cerebral palsy, CP, and visual perception. According to the PRISMA flowchart, 10 studies were selected from among studies published from January 1, 2012 to March 30, 2022. The quality level of the selected studies, the demographic characteristics of study participants, the effectiveness of interventions, area and strategies of intervention, assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of interventions, and risk of bias were analyzed. Results : All selected studies confirmed that visual perception intervention was effective in improving visual perception function. In addition, positive results were shown in upper extremity function, activities of daily living, posture control, goal achievement, and psychosocial areas as well as visual perception function. The eye-hand coordination area was intervened in all studies. Conclusion : In visual perception intervention, It is necessary to evaluate the visual perception function by area, and apply systematically graded customized interventions for each individual.

Objective : This study systematically reviewed the collaborative team interventions of the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) using the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health-Children and Youth (ICF-CY) framework to establish the professional domain of occupational therapists in Korea and their role as experts in IEP cooperative team interventions in special education. Methods : Articles were collected from the EBSCOhost, ProQuest, and PubMed databases. International search terms included "Special education," "Individualized education plan (IEP)," "IEP process," "IEP implementation," and "Occupational therapy." The study period was limited from January 2013 to February 2023, and the final 10 studies were analyzed using secondary classification. Results : Most studies were randomized experiments targeting individuals with autism, and often employed environmental improvements. The IEP collaborative team interventions using the ICF-CY framework emphasized goals related to activity (five studies), participation (four studies), and body structure/function (one study). Conclusion : Occupational therapists play a crucial role in collaborative IEP team interventions. This study established expertise in the context of special education in South Korea.
A systematic review was conducted to identify components and convergent effects of simulation program using schizophrenia scenario in nursing education. Using 4 different databases, 226 articles were identified and 11 studies met the inclusion criteria. There were 5 qualitative studies, 5 quantitative studies and 1 study used mixed method design. The simulation incorporated various methods including standardized patients, role playing, simulator and virtual reality that majority studies(63.6%) used standardized patients. For the evaluation, studies examined diverse variables including knowledge, learning self competency, learning satisfaction and self directed learning. Considering complexity and difficulty of nursing for schizophrenia, future studies with well designed simulation program are required to prove its effectiveness.
This study investigated the effects of corrective exercise and TECAR on cervical alignment, pain threshold, and pain in forward head posture patients. The subject includes 30 forward head posture patients. In the intervention methods, the experimental group combined corrective exercise and TECAR treatment. Only the corrective exercise was applied to the control group. Assessments were made on cervico vertebra angle (CV angle), pain pressure threshold (PPT) and neck disability index (NDI) visual analog scale (VAS). The intervention was conducted six times a week for two weeks. Both groups showed significant differences in CV angle, PPT, NDI, and VAS. Also, PPT, NDI, and VAS excluding CV angle were significantly improved in the study group compared to the control group. These results suggest that the intervention method that combines corrective exercise and TECAR treatment has a more positive effect on pain and ADL ability of forward head posture patient.
