  • Information society in recent times, lots of important information have been stored in information systems. In this situation, unauthorized person can obtains important information by piggy-backing and shoulder surfing in specific area of organization. Therefore, in this study, we proposed network group access control system by combining RFID and infrared-ray for blocking information leakage due to unauthorized access by internal threats and enhancing personnel security. So it can provides a more secure internal network environment.

Power Saving Algorithm based on Long-term Sleep Period for RFID/USN systems (RFID/USN 시스템 지원을 위한 장기간 수면 기반의 전력 절감 알고리즘)

  • RFID/USN is considered as a key convergence technology in future ubiquitous network. In RFID/USN, the power saving issue receives a great attention due to limited battery lifetime of sensor node. In this paper, we propose a new power saving algorithm, which takes advantage of long-term sleep period. To provide a full network connectivity and balance the battery consumption among sensor nodes, the proposed algorithm intelligently selects the long-term sleep sensor nodes. With mathematical analysis and simulations, we prove that the proposed algorithm can significantly reduce the power consumption of sensor nodes as compared to existing algorithms.

A Compromise-Resilient Tunneled Packet Filtering Method in Wireless Sensor Networks (무선 센서 네트워크에서 훼손 감내하는 터널된 패킷 여과 기법)

  • In wireless sensor networks, an adversary can launch the wormhole attacks, where a malicious node captures packets at one location and tunnels them to a colluding node, which retransmits them locally. The wormhole attacks are very dangerous against routing protocols since she might launch these attacks during neighbor discovery phase. A strategic placement of a wormhole can result in a significant breakdown in communication across the network. This paper presents a compromise-resilient tunneled packet filtering method for sensor networks. The proposed method can detect a tunneled message with hop count alteration by a comparison between the hop count of the message and one of the encrypted hop counts attached in the message. Since the proposed method limits the amount of security information assigned to each node, the impact of wormhole attacks using compromised nodes can be reduced.

  • 고정된 위치에 있거나 이동중인 수신자들에게 고품질의 멀티미디어 콘텐트를 제공하기 위하여 지상파 DTV를 위시하여 디지털위성방송, 지상파 및 위성 DMB 등 다양한 방식의 방송 서비스들이 가까운 장래에 우리 생활의 일부분이 되리라고 예견되고 있다. 이러한 서비스들은 방송과 통신의 융합환경에 맞추어 맞춤형 방송의 형태로 이용될 것이며, 이는 텔레매틱스나 홈 네트워크 등과 같은 다른 정보 전달 체계와 결합하여 보다 고도화된 정보사회의 중심적인 역할을 할 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문은 방송 통신 융합 환경에서의 DTV의 주요한 한 가지 역할로서 DTV 기반의 흠 네트워크를 제안하고, 그러한 흠 네트워크에서 멀티미디어 콘텐트를 공유하기 위한 두 가지 방안에 대해서 논한다. 첫 번째 방안은 홈 서버 기능을 하는 DTV PVR에서 단 한번의 복호 과정과 스케일러블 코딩 과정을 통하여 가정 내의 모든 기기들이 실시간으로 방송 콘텐트를 공유하는 방법이고, 다른 한 가지 방안은 전체 방송시스템 비디오 부호화 규격을 스케일러블 부호화 기법을 적용한 단일 표준으로 통합하는 방안이다. 본 논문을 출발점으로 하여 이와 같은 논의가 활발하게 이루어지기를 기대한다.

  • NG-SDH system is connected with networks throughout optical fibers. Network synchronization controller is a necessary for the data synchronization in each optical transmission system. In this paper, we have design and implementation the network synchronization controller using SOPC(system on a programmable chip) design technic. For this network synchronization controller we use FPGA in Altera. FPGA includes 32bit CPU, DPRAM(dual port ram), digital input/output port, transmitter and receiver framer, phase difference detector. We also confirm that designed network synchronization controller satisfies the ITU-T G.813 timing requirements.

  • The explosive growth of Internet traffic cause by smart equipment such as smart phone has led to a dramatic increase in demand for data transmission capacity and network control architecture, which requires high transmission rates beyond the conventional transmission capability. Next generation networks are expected to be controlled by Generalized Multi-Protocol Label Switching(GMPLS) protocol suite and operating at multiple switching layers. In order to ensure the most efficient utilization of multilayer network resources, effective global provisioning that providing the network with the possibility of reacting in advance to traffic changes should be provided. In this paper, we proposes a new path selection scheme in multilayer optical networks based on the vertical PCE architecture and a different approach to efficiently exploit multiple PCE cooperation.

  • In this paper, we propose a safety management system which prevents the occurrence of crime and accident from rising in school neighborhood. This system offers a monitoring method for safety of children which make intelligent space from environment and location sensing data through wireless communication between sensors attached to children and fixed sensor network in school neighborhood. Also, We propose a strategic safety management plan using opportunistic network when node is out of school zone network. Many students can easily receive the service of low cost from WSN-based School zone network than existing service from GPS individually by using our scheme.

  • Routing protocol using in the existing wire network cannot be used as it is for efficient data transmission in MANET. Because it consists of only mobile nodes, network topology is changing dynamically. Therefore, each mobile node must perform router functions. Variety of routing attack like DoS in MANET is present owing to these characteristic. In this paper, we proposed cooperative-based detection method to improve detection performance of flooding attack which paralyzes network by consuming resource. Accurate attack detection is done as per calculated adaptively threshold value considered the amount of all network traffic and the number of nodes. All the mobile nodes used a table called NHT to perform collaborative detection and apply cluster structure to the center surveillance of traffic.

  • The need for a unified data communication for home digital devices and realtime multimedia services in home network has led to recent research on home gateway over the broadcasting and communication convergence network. In this paper, we discuss requirement for such home gateway design and define services that the home gateway provides. Then, we propose a home gateway architecture aimed to efficient multimedia distribution for heterogeneous devices in the home network. The proposed home gateway has a role of protocol gateway, media server, and media trans-coder. Finally, we show the feasibility of the proposed home gateway in several multimedia distribution scenario.

  • 본 논문은 융합 서비스 환경을 위한 차세대 공통 플랫폼 운영 환경에서 다양한 융합 서비스들의 지원을 위한 플랫폼 호스팅 서비스를 제공하기 위해 적합한 과금 관리 체계를 융합 서비스에 맞는 과금 모델을 통해 제시한다. 향후 차세대 네트워크 환경에서의 융합 서비스 개발 촉진을 위해 필수적인 기술인 공통 기반 플랫폼 서비스 제공 기술의 도입을 위한 주요 기반 기술인 과금 관리 기능을 위한 과금 모델을 제시한다. 서비스 플랫폼의 변화와 산업의 특징들을 주시하여 융합 서비스 플랫폼을 확인하고, 융합 서비스 플랫폼을 구성하기 위한 요구 기능을 확인한다. 이를 바탕으로 서비스별 과금 모델 적용을 도출/분류하고 과금 모델을 각종 서비스에 적용하는 방안에 관하여 연구하였다.
