The purpose of this study is to analyze the compensation law for Special Mission Executors enacted to compensate for sacrifices for the state based on the policy framework proposed by Gilbert and Terrell and to present the limitations and development directions of the compensation policy. In particular, this study presents the characteristics of each dimension of the policy through the bases of social allocation, the types of social provisions, the strategies for the delivery, and the ways to finance. Through the analysis, We deduce problems of the compensation law for Special Mission Executors. Representative limitations of the compensation policy can be summarized as follows. Due to extreme selectivism, the limitations are the narrow selection criteria of the targets, the benefits which are not out of proportional to contributions, delayed benefits and the decrease in the size of public resources. These limitations suggest that the compensation policy for Special Mission Executors does not contain the significance of the Patriots and Veterans Affairs Policy. The value the Patriots and Veterans Affairs can be considered as a means for repaying the contributions who sacrificed for the nation. Therefore, the government needs to make efforts to develop a policy with the true significance of the Patriots and Veterans Affairs.

Attitudes toward target language culture and motivation have been known as important factors in second or foreign language learning. In this study, cadets' attitudes toward the target language community and culture were investigated to find out any relationships with English achievement. Integrative or instrumental motivation in foreign military context was investigated to determine which motivation was more positively related to English proficiency. Cadets' responses were shown highly positive and internally consistent in most cases. Military cadets' attitudes toward American culture were statistically significant and could predict their English achievement. Even though integrative motivation was statistically significant, correlation with English achievement was low. However, instrumental motivation was not significant. This result implies that attitudes toward culture is an important factor in foreign language learning and integrative-instrumental motivation dichotomy might not be enough to explain specific context like cadets' English learning situation at Korea Army Academy at Youngcheon.

세계 각국에서는 국가별, 지역별 전역적인 강우침식인자에 대한 연구를 지속하고 있다. 우리나라에서도 몇 차례에 걸쳐 남한 전역에 대한 강우침식인자를 규명하기 위한 연구가 이루어졌고, 그 결과물로서 등강우침식도가 제작된 바 있다. 그러나 현재까지 우리나라의 강우침식인자가 세계 각국에 비해서 어느 정도의 토양침식에 대한 잠재 위험성을 가지고 있는지에 대한 연구는 이루어지지 않았다. 본 연구는 국제 및 국내 학계에 보고된 자료를 토대로, 세계 각국의 강우침식인자를 수집하고, 우리나라의 강우침식인자와 비교하여 우리나라의 강우에 의한 토양침식 잠재위험성을 분석하기 위한 것이다. 이를 통해 현재 실무에 활용중인 강우침식인자 값에 대한 개선방안을 검토하였다.

본 연구는 지점별 연평균 강우침식인자 값을 2018년 호우사상을 포함한 최신자료로 업데이트하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위하여 기상자료개방포털의 QC 테스트를 통과한 강수량 자료를 2018년 자료까지 수집하여 입력데이터로 활용하였다. 본 연구에서는 국립농업과학원에서 개발한 강우인자 계산기를 이용하여 지점별 연평균 강우침식인자 값을 재산정한 뒤, 기존 연구의 결과값과의 차이점을 비교 분석하였다. 산정된 지점별 강우침식인자 값을 바탕으로 강우침식인자의 공간분포 지도인 등강우침식도를 작성하였으며, 기존에 학계에 보고된 선행연구 결과의 등강우침식도와 비교하여, 강우침식인자의 지역별 분포의 최근 변화 양상을 분석하여 제시하였다.

Boolean Satisfiability (SAT)는 전산학의 중요한 문제로서 SAT problem을 풀기 위한 많은 알고리즘과 도구들이 제안되어 왔다. 특히, 지난 몇 년 간 많은 발전을 이루어왔고, 하드웨어 검증과 모델 체킹 등의 분야에서 많이 적용되어 왔다. 여러 문제들을 Conjunctive Normal Form (CNF)로 표현하여 CNF의 특성을 이용하여 SAT 알고리즘이 발전되어 왔다. 그런데, 회로를 CNF로 표현할 때 몇 가지 문제점이 발생하는데 특히 CNF는 회로의 structural information 을 잃어버린다는 것이 큰 문제점이다. 이를 보완하기 위하여 회로의 structural information을 이용하기 위한 많은 연구가 진행되어 왔다. 이러한 대부분의 연구는 회로의 정보를 가지고 있다는 경우에 한정된다. 그러나, 하드웨어 검증에서 회로의 정보 없이 검증해야 하는 경우들도 발생한다. 이 논문은 회로의 정보를 가지고 있지 않을 때 CNF 만으로 회로의 structural information을 추론하는 방법을 제시한다.

본 연구는 우리나라에서 개발된 강우운동에너지식을 토대로 강우침식인자를 산정하여 기존 학계에서 국외 강우운동에너지식으로 계산되어 사용되어온 기존 강우침식인자 값과 어떤 차이점이 있는지를 비교 분석하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 최근까지 학계에서 발표된 국내 강우운동에너지식을 수집하고, 강우강도에 따른 강우운동에너지의 변화 양상을 비교 검토하였다. 4개의 강우운동에너지식을 비교해본 결과, 관측기간과 관측지점, 유도 방법의 차이로 인해 편차가 발생하는 것으로 나타났으며, 본 연구에서는 통계적인 방법을 이용하여 4개의 강우운동에너지식의 평균값을 나타낼 수 있는 전역적 강우운동에너지식을 제안하였다.

In this paper, we propose a stable mutual authentication protocol between unmanned combat systems in tactical wireless networks where long distance communications are not always guaranteed due to a poor channel condition. The proposed protocol generates an authentication code using hash collision of arbitrarily selected random data. The authentication requester encrypts and transmits it to the authenticator. They performs authentication by sharing the valid authentication code. We analyze the safety of the proposed method for various attack scenarios.

호우사상의 특성은 기후별, 국가별, 지역별, 계절별로 차이가 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 강우운동 에너지는 호우사상 특성 중에 하나로서 강우강도와 강우운동에너지의 관계로 규명할 수 있다. 전세계 학자들이 자국의 호우사상을 분석하여 유도한 강우운동에너지식이 보고되고 있음에도 불구하고, 지난 40여 년 동안 전세계적으로 유독 미국의 호우사상으로부터 유도된 강우운동에너지식이 범용성을 가지고 사용되어 왔다. 본 연구는 강우운동에너지에 대한 연구로서 최근까지 학계에 보고된 강우운동에너지식을 수집하여 기후에 따른 해당 지역의 강우운동에너지 특성을 분석하였다. 본 연구는 강우운동에너지식이 유도된 방법과 호우사상에 초점을 맞추었으며, 이를 바탕으로 한국과 유사한 기후에서 유도된 강우운동에너지식과 한국의 강우운동에너지식을 비교 분석하였다.

In this paper, we propose an opportunistic data relay scheme in narrowband multihop combat radio networks. Narrowband networks have physical restrictions on high-speed transmission. Furthermore, the topology changes dynamically due to the jamming of the enemy, signal interference between friendly forces, and movement of network entities. Therefore, the traditional relay scheme that collects topology information and calculates a relay path before transmission is unsuitable for such networks. Our proposed scheme does not collect topology information and transmits data opportunistically. The scheme can cause unnecessary data relaying that is not related to data delivery to the destination node. However, for small networks, the effect of increasing network throughput by not gathering topology information is much greater than the effect of reducing throughput by unnecessary data relays. We demonstrate the performance superiority of the proposed scheme through simulation in the worst case of network topology.

This study explores how American war films modify or reenact American exceptionalism depending on political and social situations in the United States. To this end, it analyzes the two war films, Saving Private Ryan and We Were Soldiers that were released before and after the 9/11 attacks as a critical juncture in the twenty first century, respectively. While the former conducts a partial modification on American exceptionalism in order to restore the national identity and moral authority of the United States lost ever since the Vietnam War, the latter demonstrates a complete reenactment of American exceptionalism in accordance with the foreign policy of the Bush administration and neoconservatism. It concludes with the illumination that the examination of American war films within the framework of American exceptionalism is efficacious in understanding from a broad perspective how American exceptionalism is utilized depending on political and social situations in the United States.
