  • 1. 서론 : 적절한 이산화탄소의 분리는 지구온난화의 가속현상을 늦출 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 각종 탄화수소가스의 원료로 분리 정제된 이산화탄소를 재이용할 수 있으므로 경제적으로 매우 중요하다. 이산화탄소 분리에 사용되던 기존 공정들의 단점을 보완할 수 있는 대체방안으로 최근에 개발되기 시작한 것이 소수성의 다공성 고분자 분리막(hydrophobic porous ploymeric membrane) 방법인데, 이는 모듈의 유효 막 표면적이 상대적으로 크고 기체와 액체의 흐름을 독립적으로 제어할 수 있으므로 범람 등의 현상이 없으나 막 자체의 저항이 비교적 큰 단점을 가지고 있다. Qi와 Cussler는 이러한 특성을 가지는 중공사막 모듈에서의 기-액 흐름에 대한 물질전달 상관관계식을 얻었으며[1], Karoor 등은 여러 가지 중공사막 모듈을 사용하여 순수물과 diethanolamine(DEA) 등의 흡수제에 대한 이산화탄소의 물질전달 거동을 수치모델과 실험을 통하여 고찰하였다[3]. 또한 중공사막 접촉기의 실제적 응용에 대하여 Matsumoto 등은 화력발전소에서 발생하는 연소가스 내의 이산화탄소 흠수에 대한 연구를 수행하였다[4]. 본 연구에서는 중공사막 접촉장치를 사용하여 흡수제를 순수물과 탄산칼륨($K_2CO_3$)을 사용했을 경우의 이산화탄소의 분리 거동을 수치모델과 실험을 통하여 고찰하였다. 수치모델의 경우 이전까지의 연구가 반응이 없는 경우나 반응식을 간략화시킨 경우에 한정되었는데 비하여, 반으이 있는 경우 각각의 반응물질들의 거동을 고려한 반응식을 유도하여 해를 구하고자 하녔다.

Production of Soluble Dietary Fiber of Buckwheat Hulls by Enzymatic Depolymerzation and its Characteristics (메밀껍질의 효소분해에 의한 수용성 식품섬유소의 생산 및 기능적 특성)

  • This study was conducted for the production of water-soluble dietary fiber (SDF) from buckwheat hulls by using Celluclast or Viscozyme. The functionality of this SDF, including antioxidant activity, glucose- and bile acid-retardation effects in vitro, was measured. SDF yields from cellulose and hemicellulose fractions were 60.5 and 123.7 g/kg dry matter, respectively. Analysis of molecular weight distribution of SDF by using gel chromatography showed that SDF degradation increased with increase in reaction time. The antioxidant activity of SDF obtained by enzymatic hydrolysis was higher than that of dietary fiber without enzyme treatment. SDF showed higher retardation effects on glucose and bile acid than the sample without dietary fiber did. The results of this study suggested that SDF produced from buckwheat hull by enzymatic hydrolysis is a good source of functional food material because of its high antioxidant activity and glucose- and bile acid-retardation effects.

  • A series of experiments was conducted to study the behavior of the phosphorus added to the soils having the high phorphorus fixing capacity derived from volcanic ash in Cheju Island. Soil samples were taken from different depths of 0-10, 10-30, and 30-50cm in six citrus orchards where heavy application of phosphate fertilizer has been practised. Absorption of Carbon Dioxide into Aqueous Potassium Salt of Serine (Serine 칼륨염 수용액의 이산화탄소 흡수특성)

  • Aqueous potassium salt of serine was proposed as an alternative $CO_2$ absorbent to monoethanolamine (MEA) and its $CO_2$ absorption characteristics were studied. The experiment has been conducted using screening test equipment with NDIR type gas analyzer and vapor-liquid equilibrium apparatus. $CO_2$ absorption/desorption rate and net amount of $CO_2$ absorbed in cyclic process are the criteria to assess the $CO_2$ absorption characteristics in this study. Effective $CO_2$ loading of potassium salt of serine and MEA are 0.425 and 0.230 respectively. Cyclic capacities are 0.354 and 0.298 for potassium salt of serine and MEA. The absorption rate of the potassium serinate decreased sharply at $CO_2$ loading is 0.1 and were maintained approximately at half of MEA. To enhance the absorption rate of aqueous potassium salt of serine, small quantities of rate promoters, namely piperazine and tetraethylenepentamine were blended, so that rich $CO_2$ loading were increased by 13.7% and 18.7% respectively. The rich $CO_2$ loading of potassium salt of serine was 29.2% and 35.0% higher than those of aqueous sodium and lithium salt of serine, respectively. The absorption rate of potassium salt of valine and isoleucine which have similar molecular structures to serine were lower than that of serine because of the presence of bulky side group. Precipitation phenomena during $CO_2$ absorption were discussed by the aid of literatures.

  • In this work, energy absorption characteristics and optimal welding space of spot-welded square hat type tube are investigated via quasi-static crush experiments and finite element (FE) analyses. A FE model reflecting the crush characteristics is established based on the experimentally observed crush mechanisms of specimens with welding spaces (20, 30 & 45 mm) and (25,40 & 55 mm) respectively for two specimen widths (60, 75 mm). The established FE model is then applied to other crush models of widths (50, 60 & 75 mm) with various welding spaces (20, 25, 30, 40, 45, 55, 75, 150, 300 mm) respectively. We examine the energy absorption characteristics with respect to the welding space for each specimen width. The outcome suggests an optimal spot welding space of square hat type thin-walled tube. Energy absorption is also presented in terms of yield strength of base metal, specimen thickness, width, and mean crushing force of spot-welded square hat type thin-walled tube.

A Study on the Estimation of In-situ Undrained Shear Strength Using Effective Stress Paths of Reconstituted Sample by Unconfined Compression Test (재구성 시료의 일축압축시험에서 유효응력경로를 이용한 원지반의 비배수 전단강도 추정에 관한 연구)

  • Unconfined compression test (UC) has been widely used to determine the undrained shear strength ($c_u$) of clay, because it is convenient and economical. However, UC can not represent the behaviour of in-situ stress condition and the strength obtained by the test is generally underestimated compared to that of triaxial compression, due to no confining pressure. Therefore, a simple and practical method to correct the ($c_u$) for sample disturbance and to be used in geotechnical practice is needed. This study is aimed at proposing the method to estimate in-situ undrained shear strength from UC with suction measurement. The proposed method is based on theoretical shear strength equation of perfect sample (Noorany & Seed, 1965), and effective overburden stress and analysis results ($A_f,\phi'$) of effective stress behaviour by UC are needed for the equation. The shear resistance angle ($\phi'$) can be simply estimated through the result that $K_f$-line slope of the UC is 1.6 times higher than that of triaxial compression test. The result of this study shows that the measured strength by this method is very similar to that of the undrained shear strength by triaxial compression test (CK$_0$UC).

Changes in Rice Yield, Nutrients' Use Efficiency and Soil Chemical Properties as Affected by Annul Application of Slag Silicate Fertilizer (규산질비료의 매년연용이 벼수량, 양분흡수 특성 및 토양화학성 변화에 관한 연구)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of annual application of slowle cooled slag silicate fertilizer on rice yield and soil chemical properties. Field experiment was done on the condition of fertilization of silicate fertilizer 1,500 and $2,500kg\;ha^{-1}$ to the clay loam paddy field during 26 years from 1975 to 2000. The results obtained were as follows; Rice yield of NPK+silicate fertilizer $1,500kg\;ha^{-1}$ and $2,500kg\;ha^{-1}$ were increased by 15%, 8% respectively incomparion with NPK control plot in 2000($26^{th}$ year). Changes in average rice yield for 5 years interval were continually showed increase in the treat of silicate fertilizer $1,500kg\;ha^{-1}$ compared to NPK and NPK+silicate fertilizer $2,500kg\;ha^{-1}$ treated plot. The amounts of N, $K_2O$, CaO and MgO in the treat of silicate fertilizer $1,500kg\;ha^{-1}$ were much more than those of silicate fertilizer 2,500kg treated plot, and the treat of silicate fertilizer $1,500kg\;ha^{-1}$ showed higher in nutrients availability and fertilizers use efficiency than other treated plots at harvesting stage. Amount of N, $P_2O_5$, $K_2O$ and MgO in unhulled rice grain, those of CaO, MgO and $K_2O$ in rice straw and those of $K_2O$ and $SiO_2$ in rice root were positively recognized significant relationships with grain yield. According to soil analysis after experiment in 2000, the silicate fertilizer $2,500kg\;ha^{-1}$ annually applied plot were increased especially in soil organic matter, CEC and available phosphate content in comparison with NPK+silicate fertilizer $2,500kg\;ha^{-1}$ applied plot.

Coupling Effects in Rainfall-induced Slope Stability Considering Hydro-mechanical Model (강우침투에 의한 비탈면 안정해의 수리-역학적 모델을 이용한 커플링 효과)

  • In this study, rainfall-induced slope stability and coupling effect are investigated using hydro-mechanical finite element model. This model is developed by formulating constitutive and coupled balance equations and is verified by comparing the numerical results with field matric suction. The homogeneous soil layer (soil column) and soil slope are modeled by this model, and the results of variation in matric suction, mean effective stress, porosity, displacement, factor of safety are compared with those of staggered analysis. It is found that the vertical and horizontal displacement from coupling analysis considering change in porosity is larger than that of staggered analysis. The displacement and matric suction from coupling analysis by rainfall infiltration can affect slope instability, which shows a progressive failure behavior. The lowest factor of safety is observed under short-term rainfall. This results confirm the fact that coupling analysis is needed to design soil slope under severe rain condition.

  • This study determines a range of CT parameter values in Brain CT which are minimizing patient absorption dose without compromising the image quality and optimal exposure condition. We measured dose and image noise using conventional CT parameters in Brain CT. In additon, we evaluated dose, SNR and PSNR of head phantom images while changing kVp and rotation time. In this study, effectiveness of dose that was achieved from dose reproducible experiments in conventional head CT condition is determined by changing kVp and rotation time. Dose and PSNR is related to low dose-high resolution condition. In conclusion, we suggest that using proposed conditions is effective for imaging to compare with conditions proposed by the manufacturer.

Effect of Band Spotty Fertilization on the Yield and Growth of Peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.) in Plastic Film Mulching Cultivation (비닐피복 땅콩 재배시 생육 및 수량에 미치는 국소시비 효과)

  • This study was carried out to establish low-input fertilization and seeding technique using the simultaneous with seeding and fertilizer application machine and band spotty applicator which were manufactured for experiment during cultivation of mulching for peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.). The labor hour for seeding by simultaneous with seeding and fertilizing machine was appeared over 90% reduction effect compared with control plot($17.3hr\;10a^{-1}$). In band spotty fertilization plots, the emergence date was delayed about 4 days and the seedling stand rate was decreased 11~18% compared with control plot(man power). The content of total nitrogen of soil after experiment was increased while the contents of organic matter, available phosphate and exchangeable potassium were decreased than before experiment. The content of nitrogen forming nitrate was increased in band spotty fertilization(BSF) plots by increasing the amount of applied fertilizer from early growth stage till the middle growth stage. Growth rate was increased in band spotty fertilization plots and the absorbed amount of phosphate and potassium for peanut were increased in 70% band spotty fertilization plot compared with control plot. Yield of peanut was increased 70% in band spotty fertilization plot due to high pod kernel ratio and ripened pod rate compared with control plot($3,150kg\;ha^{-1}$). It was found that 70% band spotty fertilization was more effective as fertilization method to reduce both environmental pollution and chemical nitrogen fertilizer in plastic film mulching cultivation of peanut.
