Five (4.7%) samples were found to have pesticide residues greater than the maximum residue limits (MRLs). The detected pesticides in kidney beans (1 case), mung beans (6 cases), and sorghum (1 case), were MGK-264, chlorpyrifos, thiamethoxam, malathion, piperonyl butoxide, and pirimiphos-methyl. Specifically, an excessive amount of thiamethoxam was found from the imported mung bean (5 cases).

It passed through the growth stage after it staged the event that had mixed characteristics of 'flee market' and 'art market' at local festivals in 2001. In 2002 Sin-Chon culture forum directedculture-oriented market and the market has been developed as a current 'Free Market'. Recently 'Free Market' is comprised of steps, artists, and customers who voluntarily participated in the market. The market is held regularly every Saturday and provide various types of programs for the participants. Major characteristics of this free market were summarized as 'complex space' and 'role transition', and these characteristics provided the participants new experiential values such as 'freedom', 'emergent experiences', 'social interaction' and 'hero of festivals' through the participant role. This study also intends to identify the problems in store operation and identify academic and practical methods. In-depth interviews, direct observation, and service blueprint techniques were used to define problems in the existing business operation process, and an operating process based on the electronic shelf label (ESL) system is designed as an alternative to problem solving. The changes of the operating process before and after introduction were compared. Results of this study suggest practical implications that the ESL system can be used to solve the problems of the current price management process. The study also suggests the academic significance of presenting a complex research method of problem finding, cause analysis, and alternative presentation by using each research method complementarily.

  • This study intends to explore the relationship between export motivating factors and export channel-structure. Two proactive motivating factors (market-opportunity development and productivity improvement) and one reactive motivating factor (business-risk hedge) were extracted from the survey data collected from Korean exporting firms. The data show that the two proactive motives enhance the likelihood of using the export channels that allow strong controls over export-marketing activities. This study also finds that these proactive motives tend to increase the amount of relationship investment in an export distribution channel.
