Strain-Hardening Cementitious Composites with Low Viscosity Suitable for Grouting Application (그라우팅에 적합한 점성을 갖는 변형률 경화 시멘트 복합재료)

  • This paper presents materials and processing technique to manufacture low viscous strain-hardening cementitious composite which is suitable for structures requiring low viscosity of materials. The micromechanics and fracture mechanics tools coupled with processing techniques were adopted to achieve low viscosity of composites as well as high tensile strain capacity. Optimal volume and length of fibers and interfacial properties between fibers and matrix for composites with tensile strength of 2~3MPa were determined on the basis of the micromechanical analysis and the steady-state cracking theory. Then six mixtures were determined and the experiment was carried out to evaluate the viscosity and uniaxial tensile performance of those. From the test results, it is verified that the strain-hardening cementitious composite with low viscosity suitable for grouting applications in fresh state as well as high ductility over 1.5% in hardened state can be feasible.

Influence of Cement Matrix's Compressive Strength and Replacement of Expansive Admixture on the Mechanical Properties of Synthetic Polyethylene (PE) Fiber-Reinforced Strain-Hardening Cement-Based Composites (SHCCs) (압축강도와 팽창재 대체에 따른 폴리에틸렌 합성섬유로 보강된 변형 경화형 시멘트 복합체의 역학적 특성)

  • In order to improve the dimensional stability and mechanical performance of cement-based composites, the effect of an expansive admixture based on calcium sulphoaluminate (CSA) on the shrinkage and mechanical properties of strain-hardening cement-based composite (SHCC), which exhibits multiple cracks and pseudo strain-hardening behavior in the direct tension, is investigated. Polyethylene fibers reinforced SHCC mixtures with three levels (30, 70, and 100MPa) of compressive strength were compared through free shrinkage, compressive strength, flexural strength, and direct tensile strength measurements. The SHCC mixtures were cast with and without replacing 10% of Portland cement content with CSA admixture. According to test results, CSA admixture is effective in reducing shrinkage of SHCC material. SHCC mixture with CSA admixture exhibited a little higher strength than companion mixture without CSA admixture.

  • Obesity is the risk factor of atherosclerosis and not only increases triglyceride concentration in blood but also decreases relatively the ratio of TG to HDL-Cholesterol in blood. In case of obesity, systolic blood pressure is also increased in responding the increase of TG in blood. Index of obesity in red ginseng-taking group (ginseng group) was lower as compared with non-red ginseng-taking group (control group). The TG concentration, the ratio of triglyceride to HDL-cholesterol in blood and systolic blood pressure were decreased in the subjects of ginseng group compared with that in control group. It is inferred that long-term intake of ginseng products may help to prevent the risk of atherosclerosis and obesity.

  • The unsaturated polyester(UP) and epoxy resin have a superior material properties and a chemical resistance using sewerage pipes rehabilitation. However, UP and epoxy have not a low temperatures harding, the requirement $8{\sim}11$ hours long times harding and heating system used by reinforcement liner. This study is to evaluate the effects of low temperature harding properties methyl methacrylate(MMA) monomer using expanded polystyrene(EPS) and UP in addition of initiator and promoters. From the test result, viscosity tends to increase with increasing EPS and UP contents. However, harding time change of the MMA resins which it follows in addition of the initiator and promoter.

  • To improve the curing method of anisotropic conductive film (ACF) at low temperature, it was studied to replace the thermal latent curing agent of imidazole compounds by the curing agent of cationically initiating type. Thermo-mechanical properties such as glass transition temperature, storage modulus, and coefficient of thermal expansion were investigated for the analysis of curing behavior. The reliability of ACF were observed in thermal cycle and high temperature-high humidity test. ACF using cationic initiator showed faster curing, lower CTE, and higher $T_g$ than the case of using imidazole curing agent, which is important for the high temperature stability. Furthermore, ACF using cationic initiator maintained a stable contact resistance in reliability test, although it was cured at low temperature and fast rate. With these results, it was confirmed that the curing method of epoxy had great effect on thermo-mechanical properties and reliability of ACF.

  • The setting time which is the important element for the determination of slip-up speed of Slip-Form system is the hardening time of early-age concrete when the in place concrete has minimum compressive strength before the concrete appears out of Slip-Form system. But it is very difficult to predict the setting time because it depends on not only the composition ratio of concrete but also various conditions of construction fields. Thus, the technique to estimate accurately and continuously the hardening time of early-age in place concrete during operating Slip-Form system is necessary to guarantee the safety of Slip-Form system and the maintenance of the shape of concrete. Ultrasonic wave-based nondestructive testing methods have the advantages which are accurate and continuous in estimating concrete compressive strength. Of such methods, the method using surface wave which propagates along the surface of material is effective for thick member such as a pylon. Thus, in this paper a study on the determination of slip-up speed for Slip-Form system using surface wave velocity is performed. The relation between the slip-up speed of Slip-Form system and the setting time is formulated, and the surface wave velocity is estimated from continuous wavelet transform of the numerical results for surface wave propagation. Finally, the accuracy of this method according to the distance between the wave source and receivers and the relation between the estimated surface wave velocity and the elastic modulus are investigated.

  • 레일패드는 궤도전체의 탄성확보 뿐만 아니라 열차하중에 의해 침목으로 전달되는 충격을 완화시켜 침목과 도상의 파손을 방지하는 역할을 하는데, 통과톤수의 증가와 기후적 요인에 의하여 패드가 열화되면 패드의 강성이 증가하게 된다. 패드의 강성이 증가하게 되면 레일을 통해 침목으로 전달되는 충격하중이 증가하게 되어 침목의 파손을 유발할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 침목하면의 도상에도 과도한 충격하중을 전달하여 도상의 손상을 가속화시킬 수 있다. 또한 레일패드의 강성변화는 궤도의 소음과 레일의 파상마모의 진전에도 영향을 미치게 된다. 따라서 레일패드의 공용기간 중에 적정한 강성을 유지할 필요가 있으며, 통과톤수의 증가에 따른 레일패드의 경화도를 산정하는 방법과 레일패드의 경화가 궤도에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 분석하여 레일패드의 교체주기에 관한 기준을 마련할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 슬래브의 질량과 일정속도대역에서의 패드강성의 민감도분석을 하여 그 결과를 비교하고 레일패드경화에 따른 대상궤도의 동적거동을 수치해석을 통하여 패드강성과 차량주행속도에 따른 윤중의 변동량과 레일의 변위, 가속도 그리고 침목의 변위, 가속도의 변화정도를 분석해 보았다. 궤도시스템의 동적해석을 위한 해석 프로그램으로는 네덜란드 델프트 공과대학에서 개발된 궤도시스템 전용 해석 프로그램인 DARTS(The dynamic analysis of a rail track structure)를 사용하였다. 대상궤도는 국내 1단계 경부고속철도에서 사용되고 있는 3중보 무도상궤도를 사용하였다.

Follow-up Study of Condylar Bone Changes using Cone Beam Computed Tomography in Patients with Osteoarthritis (측두하악장애 골관절염 환자에서 cone-beam CT를 이용한 관절면의 변화 추적 연구)

  • This study was designed to assess follow-up study of condylar bone changes using cone beam computed tomography in patients with osteoarthritis. The author performed clinical examination for osteoarthritis patients who visited Orofacial Pain Clinic, Department of Oral Medicine, Pusan National University Hospital. CBCT(Cone beam computed tomography) was taken for 228 joints in 114 subjects. After average 10 months, CBCT was retaken. A Oral medicine and Oral radiologist evaluated CBCT each other. Condyle bone changes were classified by no bone change, flattening, erosion, osteophyte and sclerosis. The obtained results were as follow. 1. The condylar bone changes of osteoarthritis in temporomandibular disorder were as follow: 1) The transitions of each types of condylar bone changes was maintained at the initial state of the majority. 2) The transition of erosion was distributed erosion, flattening, sclreosis, osteohyte in order. 3) The transition of flattening was distributed flattening, osteohyte, normal, sclreosis in order. 4) The transition of osteohyte was distributed osteohyte, erosion, sclreosis, flattening in order. 5) The transition of sclreosis was distributed sclreosis, osteohyte, erosion, normal in order. 2. The signs and symptoms according to transition of each types of condylar bone changes were as follow 1) In the transition of condylar bone changes from erosin to erosion, pain, noise, LOM and MCO had symptomatic improvement. In the transition of condylar bone changes from erosin to flattening, pain, LOM, MCO had symptomatic improvement. In the transition of condylar bone changes from erosin to no bony change, pain, noise, LOM had symptomatic improvement. In the transition of condylar bone changes from erosion to flattening than the maintenance of eosion, MCO had symptomatic improvement. 2) In the transition of condylar bone changes from flattening to flattening, pain, noise and MCO had symptomatic improvement. In the transition of condylar bone changes from flattening to sclerosis, LOM had symptomatic improvement. 3) In the transition of condylar bone changes from osteophyte to osteophyte, pain, LOM and MCO had symptomatic improvement.

  • 본 논문은 마이크로 유체 소자의 소재로서 많이 쓰이고 있는 poly(dimethyl-siloxane) (PDMS)의 친수성 유지를 위한 표면 개질에 대한 연구이다. PDMS는 유연성, 투명성 등의 다양한 장점을 가지고 있으나, 높은 소수성으로 인하여 유체 소자로의 응용에 제한을 갖는다. 기존 연구에서 수행한 산소 플라즈마 후 2-Hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) 처리에 의한 PDMS의 표면 개질은 친수성 유지 시간에 한계가 있었다. 이에 친수성 유지 시간을 증가시키기 위하여 경화된 PDMS에 두 시간의 오존 처리 후, 6시간 동안 monomethyl ether hydroquinone (MEHQ)가 제거된 HEMA로 표면을 개질한다. 표면 처리된 PDMS의 친수성 특성을 확인하기 위해 접촉각을 측정하였다. 측정 결과, 오존을 이용하였을 때 $60^{\circ}$ 이하의 낮은 접촉각이 900시간 이상 유지됨을 확인하였다.
