Measurement of the fuel distribution in a scaled ATR combustor using PLIF (PLIF를 이용한 ATR 연소기 축소모형의 연료분포 측정연구)

  • Mixing performance between fuel and oxidizer is a significant parameter of combustion efficiency and stability in an air-turbo ramjet combustor. Two types of petal mixer were experimented to research the mixing performance. Mixing performance and fuel distribution images were obtained for petal mixers. Planar laser-induced fluorescence(PLIF) was used to obtain 2-D fuel distribution. The obtained images were processed in order to make use of the image information to a quantitative level. The results of analyzing the fluorescence images could be useful to find better mixing performance between mixers.

  • Fuel/air mixing in air turbo ramjet(ATR) combustor is a significant parameter of combustion stability and efficiency. In this study, fuel distribution in the ATR model combustor was measured to compare the degree of mixing with respect to the velocity ratio$(r=v_a/v_f)$ between fuel gas and air. Planar laser-induced fluorescence(PLIF) and image processing method were used to obtain two dimensional fuel distribution. Fuel mixing went bad with approaching to r=1.

  • 문서 검색은 오래 연구되어 온 자연어 처리의 중요한 분야 중 하나이다. 기존의 키워드 기반 검색 알고리즘 중 하나인 BM25는 성능에 명확한 한계가 있고, 딥러닝을 활용한 의미 기반 검색 알고리즘의 경우 문서가 압축되어 벡터로 변환되는 과정에서 정보의 손실이 생기는 문제가 있다. 이에 우리는 BERT Sparse라는 새로운 문서 검색 모델을 제안한다. BERT Sparse는 쿼리에 포함된 키워드를 활용하여 문서를 매칭하지만, 문서를 인코딩할 때는 BERT를 활용하여 쿼리의 문맥과 의미까지 반영할 수 있도록 고안하여, 기존 키워드 기반 검색 알고리즘의 한계를 극복하고자 하였다. BERT Sparse의 검색 속도는 BM25와 같은 키워드 기반 모델과 유사하여 실시간 서비스가 가능한 수준이며, 성능은 Recall@5 기준 93.87%로, BM25 알고리즘 검색 성능 대비 19% 뛰어나다. 최종적으로 BERT Sparse를 MRC 모델과 결합하여 open domain QA환경에서도 F1 score 81.87%를 얻었다.

  • In this paper, experimental study performed on steel-pipe connections for structural members of a greenhouse is presented. By those experiments performed, bending moment, deformation and stress distribution of specimens were investigated under four point bending test. The bending performance according to connection method using pin and the stretching is also investigated. The results of bending performance of the no connection specimen were compared to those of other connection specimens. The pin and stretching connection specimens showed lower banding performance than the no connection specimen. The stretching connection method was relatively higher bending performance than the pin connection specimens. According to the results, we proposed the connection method with good bending performance that can be applied to steel-pipe connection in greenhouse.

Computational Study of Supersonic Chevron Ejector Flows (초음속 Chevron 이젝터 유동에 대한 수치해석적 연구)

  • Considering the complexity and difficulty on the researching, how to enhance the performance of ejector-diffuser system effectively became a significant task. In the present study, the supersonic nozzle was redesigned using Chevrons installed at the inlet of the secondary stream of the ejector-diffuser system for the purpose of the performance improvement. A CFD method based on Fluent has been applied to simulate the supersonic flows and shock waves inside the ejector. Primary numerical analysis results show that the Chevrons get a positive effect on the ejector flows. The comparison of ejector performance with and without the Chevron was obtained and optimal number of chevron lobe is discussed to increase the performance. The ejector-diffuser system performance is discussed in terms of the entrainment ratio, pressure recovery as well as total pressure loss.

  • This paper presents the development and test results of a test rig for confirming the hover performance of the coaxial propeller which is applied to the drone in order to carry out the mission that requires high payload such as the development of the courier drones. the performance of each propeller was measured by varying the thrust and torque according to the H/D ratio. the Thrust sensor and torque sensor were used to measure the thrust and torque generated when the propeller rotated, and a photo sensor was used to measure the rpm. it used the data acquisition system to acquire data from each sensor, and used the Labview softwaer to control data storage, monitoring and BLDC motor control. In the test, each propeller meansured the figure of mefit according to the chansge of the interval at the same rpm.

Technical Trends for Fuel Cell Aircraft (연료전지항공기 기술 동향)

  • Fuel cells are applied to the propulsion system of aircraft based on environmental-friendly characteristics with low noise and zero emission of CO2, currently many kinds of UAV and small manned aircraft equipped with fuel cells are being developed. Fuel cells for aircraft typically classified into PEMFC(Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell) type and SOFC(Solid Oxide Fuel Cell) type and the system is developed to adapt missions and operational conditions of aircraft. For UAV, various types of aircraft mostly based on PEM fuel cell technology are investigated for military or commercial uses, and the stability and endurance of system will be improved. For small manned aircraft, many researches are carried out to substitute the propulsion system by fuel cell, also some developments for the higher performance of APU of large commercial aircraft to apply fuel cells are in progress. In the future, a fuel cell aircraft will be expected to improve the reliability and efficiency with higher power density.

  • Recently, manned and unmanned aerial vehicles are faced with problems such as collision detection and avoidance, link-loss for integrated operations in NAS. Hence, on the basis of the performance data of EUROCONTROL's BADA and NASA, an environment was developed to simultaneously handle simulations of integrated operations of MAVs and UAVs along with ATC/ATM simulations, and dynamic modeling was then carried out. To validate the developed model, simulations were performed on a 6-DOF model by its segments and the results were compared to the RMSE results.

  • A lot of VOCs that is noxious ate exhausted at drying process of enamel coating device. This VOC gas can be incinerated perfectly through catalytic combustion, and heat that is occurred in incineration process ran be again used in drying process. By using VU catalytic combustion technology, in this study, we developed a enamel coating machine that have an excellent environment improvement and energy saying effect. As basic research for this development characteristics ana performance of catalytic combustion for VOC gas was evaluated and numerical analysis for drying oven was calculated. According to the result, VOCs combustion characteristics of metal form catalysis was excellent in high temperature, and it was seen that enamel coating machine should be designed as a precious controllable structure of recirculating supply rate and suction rate.

Effects of Semi-Rigid Connection and Foundation Type on Static Behavior of Plastic Greenhouse (부재 교차부와 기초 조건이 비닐하우스의 정적거동에 미치는 영향)

  • 비닐하우스는 매우 세장한 강관부재들을 교차 결합하여 조립한 철골 구조물의 한 종류이다. 현행 설계기준으로 단동 비닐하우스의 최대 구조성능은 풍하중 40m/s, 설하중 50cm에 달한다. 그러나 설계 단계에서는 부재들의 교차결합 특성 및 부재가 직접 지반에 삽입되는 기초의 특성이 적합하게 반영되지 않는 문제점이 있다. 따라서 가력시험을 통하여 반강접 특성을 갖는 부재 교차부 및 지반삽입기초 조건이 구조물의 거동에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 부재 교차부가 강접 조건일 경우와 비교하여 교차부가 반강접일 경우에는 재하지점의 수평강성이 최대 54% 작게 나타났으나 주변 교차절점들에서의 에너지 흡수로 인하여 재하지점과 수평으로 3m 떨어진 지점에서는 반대로 최대 39% 큰 값을 보였다. 지반삽입기초의 경우에는 고정조건과 비교하여 재하지점의 수평강성이 최대 32% 작게 나타났으며, 지점부에서는 기초 조건의 영향으로 최대 26%의 휨강성 증가 효과를 보였다. 부재 교차부와 기초 조건이 구조물의 정적거동에 미치는 영향을 확인하였으나 최대내력과 강성 산정을 통한 구조성능 평가 방법의 개발이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.
