Development of Simple Monitoring Techniques of Fungus Gnats, Bradysia agrestis (Diptera: Sciaridae) Larva and Adult in Sweet Pepper Greenhouse (착색단고추 시설하우스에서 작은뿌리파리(Bradysia agrestis)의 간이예찰 기술 개발)

  • A simple and easy method was developed to monitor fungus gnats, Bradysia agrestis on sweet pepper in greenhouses. The larvae of B. agrestis were more attracted to potato discs than other sweetpotato, carrot, garlic, radish, and onion discs. The average numbers of B. agrestis found in each disc were 9.7 (potato), 6.0 (sweetpotato), 4.3 (carrot), 0.7 (garlic), 3.8 (radish), and 1.0 (onion). The number of larvae also increased by the size of disc surface and resulted in 2.1 larvae in 10${\times}$10${\times}$10 mm, 3.4 larvae in 20${\times}$20${\times}$10mm, and 3.9 larvae in 30${\times}$30${\times}$10 mm. The adults were more attracted to a yellow sticky trap (50.0 numbers) than a blue (18.0 numbers) or a white (3.7 numbers) traps. The optimal height for installing sticky trap in the greenhouse was determined as less than 50 cm from the rockwool bed based on the adults caught in the traps; 50.0 in less than 50 cm, 4.3 in 50-100 cm, and 2.0 in more than 100 cm height.

Effects of Planting Date on Growth and Yield of Bitter Gourd (Mormordica charantia L.) in Rain Shielding Plastic House (여주 비가림 재배 시 정식시기가 생육 및 수량에 미치는 영향)

  • The experiment was carried out to examine the effects of planting date on the growth and marketable yield of bitter gourd grown in rain-shield plastic houses. Bitter gourd cv 'Dragon' seedlings were separately transplanted during the months of June, July and August, 2015. The training method of all plants was made with four lateral vines and pinching the main vine. Lateral length of plants exhibited no significant difference between each planting date. However, bitter gourd planted in June had significantly higher main stem diameter than those treatments planted on August. The application of planting date was found effective in increasing marketable yield and number of fruits. June, as a planting date, had the highest marketable yield (6,439kg/10a), whereas bitter gourd planted in August had the lowest yield (870kg/10a) which were also consistent in terms of the number of fruits. Fruit length and diameter had no significant differences as affected by treatments. Therefore, planting date of bitter gourd in June was effective in increasing yield of fruit in rain-shield plastic house conditions.

A Study on the Impact of Attraction and Compromise Effects on Choice Probability of Private Brands (유인 및 타협효과가 유통업체 브랜드(PB)의 선택확률에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The strategy of distributors using a PB(Private Brand) inferior to existing PB to increase choice probability of PB arouses difficulty in terms of cost. Therefore, the aim of this study is to verify incentive and compromise effects of PB using two realistic experimental methods. Looking at the verification results, incentive and compromise effects occurred to show increase in choice probability of PB when a new GB(Generic Brand) was added to NB(National Brand) and PB of a manufacturer. In specific during experiment 1, choice probability of PB, the target, was changed when decoy brand was introduced even if there is a large difference in preference and choice probability of the competitor and target due to characteristics of NB and PB. In experiment 2, incentive effect appeared when PB of competitor was positioned as an inferior alternative to increase choice probability of the company's PB. Strategic implications on the study results, limits of this study, and future directivity were proposed.

Analysis and Trend Curve Derivation of Major Design Parameters of Unmanned and Manned Rotorcrafts (유.무인 회전익기 주요 설계변수의 추세선 식 유도 및 비교 분석 연구)

  • Design parameters of manned and unmanned rotorcrafts have been investigated to construct a design database and to derive trend curves. Design parameters of 78 manned rotorcrafts and 33 unmanned rotorcrafts have been collected and analyzed using linear regression method. Six kinds of trend curves equations are derived. Most of trend curves derived are relatively meaningful according to the calculated correlation and determination coefficients. The comparisons between manned and unmanned rotorcraft characteristics are performed. It has been drawn according to the comparisons that unmanned rotorcraft has smaller main rotor diameter and maximum take-off weight, bigger tail rotor size and similar level of empty weight fraction than manned rotorcraft.

A Study on the Characteristics of Chwibyeong in 『Jungli-Euiguae』 written Hangeul (『뎡니의궤(整理儀軌)』에 나타난 취병의 특성 연구)

  • Chwibyeong is a hedge made into a folding screen shape by setting up supports and placing plants on it. Traces of chwibyeong can be found in various paintings, such as the 『Donggwoldo painting of Changdeokgung Palace』, 『Gyujanggak painting』, 『Munhuimyo painting』, and 『Hwaseong Temporary Palace painting depicting Suwon Hwaseong Temporary Palace』. However, since the Chwibyeong has not survived to this day, the whereabouts of the Chwibyeong were estimated through ancient documents, old paintings, and photographs. In the case of a manned Chwibyeong using a support, a picture related to the composition of the Chwibyeong using a base can be Winnow willow. Methods for creating intoxicants using coniferous trees such as Chinese juniper and Rigid-branch yew have been studied. In existing old paintings, only the supports, parts of leaves, and branches were depicted, so the location of the Chwibyeong could not be confirmed through the drawings. However, in the 『Jungli-Euiguae』, written around 1797, a manned type of Chwibyeong using a support was depicted as the material of the Chwibyeong. By being able to confirm the type of tree used, it was possible to confirm the method of creating a Chwibyeong using Winnow willow introduced in the 『LimwonGyeongjeji』. Second, the material and composition method of the Chwibyeong were analyzed through the analysis of the picture of "Seongyeok-do" in 『Jungli-Euiguae』, which allows us to understand the form of the Chwibyeong

Theoretical comparison of O-D trips and P-A trips in travel demand analysis (교통수요분석에서 통행목적별 O-D 접근방법과 P-A 접근방법의 이론적 비교연구)

  • 이 논문은 O-D 접근방법과 P-A 접근방법을 이론적으로 서로 비교한 연구이다. O-D 접근방법은 전통적인 교통수요 4단계 분석기법의 모든 과정에서 통행수 산출을 통행 유출과 통행유인의 개념을 적용하여 O-D 통행량을 사용한 기법으로 정의되었다. 이러한 O-D 접근방법은 우리 나라에서 보편적으로 사용되고 있는 기법이다. P-A 접근방법은 통행 발생, 통행분포, 교통수단선책 분석과정까지 통행생성과 통행유인의 개념을 적용하여 P-A 통행량을 사용한 기법으로 정의되었으며, 노선배경 분석단계에 앞서 P-A 통행량을 O-D 통 행량으로 전환되어져야 한다. P-A 접근방법은 구미국가들에서 보편적으로 사용되는 기법이 다. 이러한 두 접근방법은 통행목적 분류에서 귀가통행이 별도로 분류되어있는가 혹은 아닌 가에 따라 쉽게 구분되어 질 수 있다. 만일 귀가통행이 통행목적의 분류에서 별도로 구분되 어 있으면 O-D 접근방법이 적용되고 있음을 의미하는 것이다. 이 연구는 전통적 교통수요 4단계 분석과정 중 통행발생, 통행분포 및 교통수단선택의 각 분석과정에서 두 접근방법간 의 이론적 차이점을 명확히 비교 분석하고자 하였다. 그러므로써 형태적 통행패턴을 상대적 으로 잘 설명하며 또한 집합적 오차를 상대적으로 초 lth화할 수 있는 기법이 어느 것인가 를 이론적으로 찾고자 하였다. 이 연구에서는 행태적 측면에서 통행패턴을 P-A 접근방법이 더 잘 표현하고 있으며 또한 집합화 오차도 P-A 접근방법이 더 적으므로 P-A 접근방법이 O-D 접근방법보다 이론적으로 더 우수하다고 결론지었다. 또한 이 연구는 통행발생, 통행 분포, 교통수단선택 분석과정이 끝난 후 P-A 통행량에서 O-D 통행량으로 전환하는 것이 통행발생, 통행분포의 분석과정이 끝난 후에 O-D 통행량으로 전환하는 것보다 더 바람직하 다고 추천하였다.

A Study on the Incentive-based Strategies for Utilization of Thermoelectric Power Plant Hot Waste Water: Focusing on the Analysis of Levelized Cost of Energy(LCOE) (발전소 온배수열 활용사업의 경제적 유인제도 연구 : 에너지균등화비용(LCOE) 분석을 중심으로)

  • This study analyzes the economic efficiency of utilizing hot waste water at a thermoelectric power plant, which is part of recent projects supported by the Korean government to foster new energy industry. The author proposes an institution that provides economic incentives to promote the project. Based on a method of calculating Levelized cost of energy (LCOE), this study finds that the LCOE of using hot waste water at power plants is higher than that of oil boiler, biomass and a power plant's auxiliary steam but similar to that of the geothermal system. Also, according to sensitivity analysis on the LCOE of each element in the system of using hot waste water, a distance of heat supply is most sensitive. Therefore, this study shows that when the government devises an incentive-based institution to expand the project of utilizing hot waste water, it is necessary to establish Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) weights that are differentiated by a distance of heat supply.

  • For manned planetary exploration, human beings are developing technologies that can permanently reside on the planet, and the basic three elements of residence, such as clothing and shelter, are required to support essential technologies in construction. In order to develop infrastructure construction technology internationally, various materials and methods such as local cementation, sulfur and aluminum have been tried. in this study, a purpose is proposed a polymer concrete construction validation technology that appropriates the conditions required for manmade exploration in order to develop construction infrastructure material technology using polymer. Concrete specimens with a 10% weight ratio polymer prepared by heating on the bottom were stabilized after 2 hours of heating, and the strength was lower than the top heating method, but the solidifying speed was 2 times faster. These results are expected to be applicable not only to construction of lunar facilities for manned exploration but also to improve the construction of infrastructures such as roads and levees to prevent dust.

  • This study tries to analyze whether the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), which was modified in 2011, has the effect of work incentive. In this sense, by establishing the 8th Wave of Korea Welfare Panel Study (2013) and the 9th Wave (2014), Furthermore, in order to overcome the methodological limit, the results of two-party analysis method will be compared by firstly carrying out multiple regression analysis and then performing propensity score matching analysis. The 535 households out of 6,025 were selected. The following are the results of multiple digression analysis and propensity score matching analysis. First, there was no statistically meaningful relationship with regard to the perception of the EITC. Second, there was a statistically meaningful result in the reduction of working hours with regard to whether a household received labor incentive or not. The study found that the revised EITC is not providing incentives which stimulates the will to work.
