The collected data were converted to relative intensity by applying percentile conversion chart in the guidelines, and this was expressed as a concern profile graph, and t-test and ANOVA were performed to find out the difference in concern according to teacher's background variables. The research results are as follows. First, the stage of concern in early childhood teachers' STEAM was identified as a critical non-user profile. Second, the stage of concern in the teacher's STEAM was judged as a person who did not use, or was implemented for less than 2 years, and was a non-user or a novice. In addition, it was found that most of the teachers did not receive formal education for STEAM. third. There were differences in the educational background, career, current execution status of teachers, whether or not to take related courses in pre-service teacher education, and whether to plan for future implementation. And there were no differences in the majors and institution types of teachers. Based on these results, a support plan for changing the stage of concern of teachers about STEAM and improving the level of use was suggested.

The results of this study showed that the young children's problem behavior had a statistically significant positive correlation with Mother's anger(r=.261, p=<.001), and depression(r=.435, p<.001). The multiple regression analysis showed that the factors that significantly affect the young children's problem behavior were depression(𝛽=16.57, p<.001) of the Mother's and the total explanatory power was 19.2%. Therefore, it provided implication for the need to develop parent education program to support the reduction of depression factors along with the emotional support Mother's.

  • Until now, many Computer Aided Education(CAE) contents are developed for kids and children with disabilities The contents cover various types of training, including visual perception training, intelligence development training, and literature education areas. Major problems on those contents are those contents requires long training time on desktop machine, which deteriorates human activities. These problems also cause inaction syndrome for young kids and children with disabilities. Solving this problem, we require a human motion sensing contents on touch screen or touch board, which interacts with a trainees and enhancing activity, collaboration and immersiveness. We implement and develope an education contents interacts with a trainee using beam projector or screen and IR(Infra-Red) pens using wiimote controller sensing technology.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore young children's perception of IrobiQ, the teacher assistive robot. Participants of this study were fifty 5 year olds attending 3 kindergarten centers who had experienced the robot for at least 2 years. The study was conducted based on the "the hypothesis of speech register". Each child was read a storybook by a researcher and asked to choose which one is more suitable to human speech tones and accents among a robot, a friend, and a toy. The findings of this study were that the children perceived a robot as a hybrid compound entity, not as a complete human though they perceived it closer to a human than an artificial thing. They were likely to use cognitive distinctions which is unique to human being, as the criteria to verify their answers. These results would suggest that the traditional binary ontological category(animate vs. inanimate) is reconsidered to include an hybrid entity.
