A Study on Etching of $EAGLE^{2000TM}$ LCD Glass by HF-HCl Mixed Solutions (HF-HCl 혼합 용액에서 $EAGLE^{2000TM}$ LCD 유리의 식각에 관한 연구)

  • Etching kinetics of $EAGLE^{2000TM}$ LCD glass was investigated using 2.5MHF-xMHCl$(x:0\sim8)$ acid mixtures. It was concluded that the reaction of HF-containing solutions with the glass was the rate-determining step for the dissolution process when considering following observations; the value of the activation energy $35\sim45$ kJ/mol and insensitivity of the dissolution rate to the etching time and the moving velocity of the glass into the solution. The etching rate linearly increased with increasing the HCl concentration in the etchant. It was also observed that the etched surface was as smooth as the original surface by addition of HCl and increase in etching temperature. This is due to the catalytic role of the $H_{3}O^{+]$ ions in the dissolution process.

  • As the low labor-productivity is being floated up to be the most limiting factor in barley cropping, the endeavor of many researchers concerned have been concentrated on recovering from that. For this reason, in this experiment 8 kinds of sowing methods were employed to survey the yield productivity and the labor-requirement of each methods. And with promising the possibility of consistent mechanization, both prediction of the assurable requirement of labor investment and calculation of the labor productivity in each method were estimated so that the possibility of labor-saving in barley cultivation investigated. Also sowing methods for labor-saving cultivation were presented according to the labor-structure of farm as divided with the phases.

Color Characteristics of Korean Traditional Soy Sauces Prepared Under Different Processing Conditions (제조조건에 따른 한국전통간장의 색 특성에 관한 연구)

  • The characteristics of blown color of Korean traditional soy sauces under different processing conditions were investigated in this research. As for meju type, traditional and modified mejus were used. The samples were produced from four levels of aging time. 0 day, 60 days, 120 days and 180 days in both clay jar and glass jar. Color intensity of soy sauce was probed with different mothods. In terms of colorcharacteristics, the absorbance at 420 nm seemed to reflect the brown color intensity of soy sauces. UV-VIS spectra of the soy sauce with traditional meiu revealed that the absorbance at 235 nm was produced during the soaking period whereas that at 410 nm was created during the aging process and only round in the spectra of soy sauce aged for 180 days. As for the soy sauce with modified meiu, the maximum absorbance was focused at 235 nm which were prepared during soaking period.

CHANGES IN FREE AMINO SCIDS OF YELLOW SEA BREAM BRANCHIOSTEGUS JAPONICUS JAPONICUS DURING DEHYDRATION (옥돔건조중의 유리아미노산의 변화)

  • Yellow sea bream, Branchiostegus japonicus, has been one of the widely consumed food fish in Jeju-Do, Korea. This study was attempted to establish the basic data for evaluating changes of taste compounds of the yellow sea bream during dehydration. The free amino acids were analysed by amino acid autoanalyser. The free amino acid composition of the raw yellow sea bream, abundant amino acids were lysine, alanine, threonine and arginine and then taurine, serine, proline, glycine, glutamic acid, leucine in order. Such amino acids as valine, methionine, tyrosine, isoleucine, phenylalanine were poor in content. The changes of free anino acid composition in the extract of the yellow sea bream during dehydration was not found. In the extract of dried product, lysine, alanine, glutamic acid and arginine were dominant holding $18.4\%,\;14.7\%\;8.0\%\;and\;7.3\%$ and $7.3\%$ of total amino acids respectively. The amount of total free amino acids of the yellow sea bream increased to more than 1.4 times during dehydration process, that of raw sample especially aspartic and glutamic acids increased to more than 2.9 times and 2. 1 times whereas taurine and histidine decreased ranging $40-50\%$ of the original content. It is presumed that the characteristic flavor of dried yellow sea bream was attributed to such amino acids like lysine and alanine known as sweet compounds, glutamic acid as meaty taste and TMAO known as plain sweet taste.

Surgical Treatment for Longitudinal Epiphyseal Bracket of the Finger (수지의 종적 Bracket 골단에 대한 수술적 치료)

  • Purpose: To describe the clinical and radiology results of a surgical treatment for clinodactyly due to a longitudinal epiphyseal bracket. Materials and Methods: This study analyzed the records of 11 patients (27 case) with clinodactyly due to a longitudinal epiphyseal bracket who underwent an osteotomy or physiolysis between March 1999 and April 2017. The preoperative range of motion of the proximal and distal interphalangeal joints, the subjective satisfaction of the patient, and the degree of angulation to the ulnar side were examined. The patients were classified into two groups: osteotomy and physiolysis. The results were reviewed retrospectively and compared according to the surgical method. Results: The mean age of the patients who underwent osteotomy was 10.3 years. The average preoperative angle was 25.7° and the average postoperative angle was 13.5° the mean correction rate was 47.4%. The mean age of the patients who underwent physiolysis was 6.0 years the mean preoperative angle was 24.5° and the postoperative angle was 10.7°. The average correction rate was 59.4%. No significant difference in the correction angles was observed between the group who underwent the correction osteotomy and the group who underwent the osteotomy. In each group, the postoperative correction was statistically significant. The range of motion at the last follow-up was not significantly different from the preoperative range of motion. Conclusion: In patients with clinodactyly due to longitudinal epiphyseal bracket, osteotomy or physiolysis may be performed selectively according to age, bone age, and radiological progression. Both surgical methods showed good clinical results and deformity correction.

The characteristic analysis of TCO/p-layer interface in Amorphous Silicon Solar cell (비정질 실리콘 태양전지에서 투명전도막/p층 계면 특성분석)

  • 유리를 기판으로 하는 superstrate pin 비정질 실리콘 태양전진에서 전면 투명전도막(TCO)과 p-층의 계면은 태양전지 변환효율에 큰 영향을 미친다. 면투명전도막(TCO)으로 현재 일반적으로 사용되는 ZnO:Al는 $SnO_2:F$보다 전기, 광학적으로 우수하고, 안개율 (Haze)높으며, 수소 플라즈마에서 안정성이 높은 특징을 갖고 있다. 그래서 박막 태양전지의 특성향상에 매우 유리하나, 태양전지로 제조했을 때, $SnO_2$보다 충진율(Fill Factor:F.F)과 $V_{oc}$가 감소한다는 단점을 가지고 있다. 본 실험실에서는 $SnO_2:F$dml F.F.가 72%이 나온 반면 ZnO:Al의 F.F은 68%에 그쳤다. 이들 원인을 분석하기 위해 TCO/p-layer의 전기적 특성을 알아 본 결과, $SnO_2:F$보다 ZnO:Al의 직렬저항이 높게 측정되었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 p-layer에 $R=(H_2/SiH_4)=25$로 변화, p ${\mu}c$-Si:H/p a-SiC:H로 p-layer 이중 증착, p-layer의 boron doping 농도를 증가시키는 실험을 하였다. 직렬저항이 가장 낮았던 p ${\mu}c$-Si:H/p a-SiC:H 인 p-layer 이중 증착에서 $V_{oc}$는 0.95V F.F는 70%이상이 나왔다. 이들 각 p층의 $E_a$(Activiation Energy)를 구해본 결과, ${\mu}c$-Si:H의 Ea 가 가장 낮은 것을 관찰 할 수 있었다.

  • Microvascular tissue transfers have facilitated primary closure of various complex defects after radical ablation of head and neck cancers. From Oct 1991 to Feb 1992, we used forearm free flap in two patients and delto-pectoral flap in one patient who had preoperative irradiation for pharyngoesophageal reconstruction. The stricture and fistular formation were most troublesome complication in forearm free flap, so we designed as lazy S shape in distal flap margin to prevent circular contraction and longitudinal margin was deepithelized(5mm) and sutured double layer to withstand fistular formation and this can be considered useful in place of a free jejunal transfer.

  • Electrochemical reduction of thionyl chloride has been carried out at glassy carbon and molybdenum electrodes, the surface of which is modified by binuclear tetradentate schiff base Co(II), Ni(II),Cu(II) and Fe(II) complexes. The catalyst molecules of transition metal(II) complexes were adsorbed on the electrode surface and reduced thionyl chloride resulting in a generation of oxidized catalyst molecules. There was an optimum concentration for each catalyst compound. The catalytic effects of SOCl$_2$ reduction were larger on glassy carbon electrodes compared to molybdenum electrodes and enhancements in reduction current of up to 120${\%}$ at the glassy carbon electrodes. The reduction currents of thionyl chloride were increased and the reduction potentials were shifted to the negative potential when scan rates became faster. The reduction of thionyl chloride was proceed to diffusion controlled reaction.

  • Architectural membrane are now used in the roof of large span structures throughout the world with the merits of free shape and lightness. Some membrane have some problems of structural capacity by the wind or snow load conditions, large span structures was shown to the tearing of the membrane. This paper is the experimental test on the stress strain curve of cycling load for the glass fiber membrane. In the result of stress strain relationship curve by the cycling load, glass fiber membrane was reduced the tensile strength, the polyester membrane was shown to occur the increase of displacement without load reduction in each load step.
