Derivation of the Effective Energy Calculation Formula of the X-ray Beam Generated by the CT Simulator (CT 모의치료장치에서 발생된 X-선 빔의 유효에너지 계산식 유도)

  • The purpose of this study is to derive a formula for calculating the effective energy of an X-ray beam generated by a CT simulator. Under 90, 120, and 140 kVp X-ray beams, the CT number calibration insert part of the AAPM CT performance phantom was scanned 5 times with a CT simulator. The CT numbers of polyethylene, polystyrene, water, nylon, polycarbonate, and acrylic were measured for each CT slice image. The average value of CT number measured under a single tube voltage and the linear attenuation coefficients corresponding to each photon energy calculated from the data of the National Institute of Standards and Technology were linearly fitted. Among the obtained correlation coefficients, the photon energy having the maximum value was determined as the effective energy. In this way, the effective energy of the X-ray beam generated at each tube voltage was determined. By linearly fitting the determined effective energies(y) and tube voltages(x), y=0.33026x+30.80263 as an effective energy calculation formula was induced.

Analysis of radiation induced hydrocarbons by electron-beam irradiation in dried squid (Todarodes pacificus) and octopus (Paroctopus dofleini) (전자선 조사한 건조된 오징어와 문어에서 유도된 지방분해산물의 분석)

  • Food irradiation is one of the successful modern techniques used to preserve food. However, it needs very careful control. Detection of irradiated food is of prime importance to facilitate global trade and consumer assurance, choice, and protection. This study was performed to evaluate the radiation-induced hydrocarbon content of dried squid and octopus by e-beam irradiation. The samples were collected from supermarkets all over South Korea and irradiated with an e-beam at 0, 1, 3, 5, 7, and 10 kGy doses. Lipids were extracted with soxhelt, and the hydrocarbons induced with irradiation were separated via solid phase extraction (SPE) and identified via gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC/MS). The major induced hydrocarbons in the irradiated dried squid and octopus were 1-tetradecene and pentadecane derived from palmitic acid and 1-hexadecene and heptadecane from stearic acid. The concentration of hydrocarbons differed from the composition of the fatty acid at the same radiation and increased according to the level of the radiation dose. The hydrocarbons induced by e-beam irradiation, including 1-tetradecene, 1-hexadecene, and heptadecane, were confirmed to have been the irradiation marker compounds. Therefore, they can be used to distinguish the e-beam-irradiated dried squid and octopus from the non-irradiated ones.

  • 최근 IT산업의 급격한 부상으로 전력산업에서도 운영시스템이나 설비들이 통합되거나 소형화 및 다양한 가능을 보유하는 둥 많은 변화가 진행되고 있다. 전국의 많은 154kV 배전변전소에는 기존의 유도원판형 보호계전기가 점차 철거되고 기계적인 동작시간차를 고려하지 않아도 되는 디지털보호계전기로 교체되어 있는 중이다. 따라서 배전선로 보호협조 운영기준은 유도원판형 보호계전기만을 고려하여 제정되어 있기 때문에 합리적인 배전계통운영을 위하여 보호협조 운영기준은 현실에 알맞도록 개선되어야 할 것이다. 이 논문에서는 배전 변전소에서 사용중인 디지털보호계전기를 소개하고, 도입에 따른 배전선로 보호협조 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 통신서비스를 제공하는 전송매체인 동케이블(copper cable)은 외륵 전자기적 영향으로부터 작업자 및 시설보호를 위해 $300{\sim}500m$ 마다 접지를 하고 있다. 접지는 일반 보안용 접지와 차폐용 접지로 구분할 수 있는데 보안용 접지는 100옴 이하의 접지저항을 요구하지만 차폐용 접지는 10옴 이하의 낮은 접지저항을 필요로 한다. 차폐용 접지는 대표적으로 전력선 또는 전철시설로부터 발생하는 통신선에서의 유도전압(Induced voltage)을 경감시키기 위해 사용되는 것으로 차폐케이블, 유도중화코일, 차폐선 등의 선로시설에 필요하다. 본 논문은 차폐용 접지를 시공하기 위해 적용하는 접지저감재를 활용한 보링접지 시공기술에 관한 것으로 접지저항 산출방법과 산출식에 필요한 파라메터와의 관계 등을 실제 시공결과와 비교하며 분석하였다.

  • LOS analysis is used for optimal deployment of mid-range guided weapon system or system engagement effectiveness simulation. Comparing to real-world, LOS analysis includes error sources such as coarse terrain data resolution, refraction of radio waves, and several ideal assumptions. In this research, exact LOS algorithm under assumption of constant earth curvature and error analysis of that is investigated. It proved that LOS algorithm under assumption of constant earth curvature has negligible error in mid-range guidance weapon system's scope.

  • This paper aims to propose new reentry guidance for Korean Space plane (KSP). Similar to the Space Shuttle guidance concept, a reference drag profile is first determined to satisfy several flight path constraints and boundary conditions, and the proposed guidance commands are realized in a way to track the predetermined reference drag profile. To this end, the drag dynamics is examined. The investigation uncovers that the dynamics characteristics of the drag and the flight path angle are considerably different. Based on this fact, the proposed guidance commands are determined using the time-scale separation technique and the feedback linearization methodology. The key feature of the proposed guidance lies in its simple structure and a clear working mechanism. Therefore, the proposed method is simple to implement compared to existing methods. Numerical simulations are performed to investigate the performance of the proposed method.

Effect of High-Fat Diet-induced Obesity on the Incidence and Progression of Prostate Cancer in C57BL/6N Mouse (C57BL/6N 마우스에서 전립선암의 발병률 및 진행에 대한 고지방식이-유도 비만의 영향)

  • Obesity induced by high-fat diet (HFD) is verified as a strong risk factor and negative prognostic factor for prostate cancer in several genetically engineered mice although it was not examined in the normal mice. To investigate whether HFD-induced obesity can affect the development and progression of cancer in the prostate of normal mice, alterations in the weight and histological structure of the prostate as well as the expression of cancer-related proteins were analyzed in obese C57BL/6N mice fed with 60% HFD for 16 weeks. First, HFD-induced obesity, including an increase in organ weight, body weight, fat accumulation, and serum lipid profile, was successfully induced in C57BL/6N mice after HFD treatment. The total weight of the prostate significantly increased HFD-induced obesity in the model mice compared with the control group. Among the four lobes of the prostate, the weight of the ventral prostate (VP) and anterior prostate (AP) were higher in HFD-induced obesity model mice than in the control group, although the weights of the lateral prostate (DLP) and seminal vesicle (SV) were constantly maintained. In addition, the incidences of hyperplasia and non-hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) in the histological structure were remarkably increased in HFD-induced obesity model mice, while the epithelial thickness was higher in the same group. A significant increase in the phosphorylation levels of key proteins in the AKT (protein kinase B) signaling pathway was detected in HFD-induced obesity model mice. Therefore, these results suggest that HFD-induced obesity can promote hyperplasia and NHL in the prostates of C57BL/6N mice through the activation of the AKT signaling pathway.

  • 국내 배전선로는 다중으로 중성선을 접지하여 운영하고 있어 지락고장이 발생하면 큰 고장전류가 발생하며, 이는 중성선 및 가공 지선과 접지극으로 분류되어 전원측으로 귀로한다. 유도전력기술기준에서는 이 분류율을 배전선로의 경우 50%로 규정하고 있어 배전선로 신 증설시 통신선과의 이격거리 확보에 어려움이 발생하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 국내 배전선로의 1선 지락전류의 분류율을 기술적으로 검토하기 위해 배전선로 설계기준을 바탕으로 1선 지락고장전류의 대지유입률을 모의하고 그 결과를 분석하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 먼저 다층흡착에서 각 흡착층의 결합에너지가 서로 다른 경우의 흡착 등온선을 유도한다. 그리고 유도된 흡착등온식이 저압영역에서 헨리의 실험법칙을 잘 만족시킴을 보인다.
