Synthesis and Characterization of Molybdenum (V)-1, 6-Diaminohexane-N, N, N', N'-tetraacetic Acid Derivatives Complexes (몰리브덴 (V) 와 1, 6-Diaminohexane-N, N, N', N'-tetraacetic Acid 계 착물합성과 그 성질)

  • A new series of $dioxo-di-{\mu}-oxo-dimolybdate(V)(*image)$, has been prepared by the reaction of pyridinum oxoisothiocyanato-molybdate(V) with 1, 6-diaminohexane-N, N, N', N'-tetraacetic acid derivatives containing amine carboxyl groups. The properties and possible molecular structure of these complexes were discussed by elemental analysis, spectroscopic studies and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The infrared spectra of these complexes show two strong Mo=$O_t$ stretching modes in the $900-965cm^{-1}$, MoO$_2$Mo stretching bands at around 450∼500 and $740-765 cm^{-1}$ to symmetrical and asymmetrical O-bridge stretching, a coordinated $COO^-$ asymmetrical band in the $1600-1635 cm^{-1}$. The complexes synthesized were yellow or orange and diamagnetic.

  • A new series of $dioxo-di-\mu-oxo-dimolybdate(V)$, has been prepared by reaction of pyridinum oxoisothiocyantomolybdate (V) with iminodiacetic acid derivatives containing amine carboxyl groups. The properties and possible molecular structure of these complexes were discussed by elemental analysis, spectroscopic studies and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The infrared spectra of these complexes all show two strong $Mo=O_t$ stretching bands in the 900∼$980cm^{-1}$, $MoO_2Mo$ very prominent strectching bands at around 410~425 and 735~$750cm^{-1}$ to symmetrical and asymmetrical O-bridge stretching, a coordinated $coo^-$ asymmetrical band in the 1585∼$1,640cm^{-1}$. Also, d-d transition of molybdenyl complexes corresponding to $^2B_2{\to}^2B_1$ occured in the 24,800~$28,000cm^{-1}$ region, charge transfer transition corresponding to ligand-to-molybdenum in the 32,500~33,800, 42,000~$47,500cm^{-1}$ region. The complexes synthesized were yellow or orange and diamagnetic.

The Change of Flow Characteristics in Lateral Aneurysm Models for Different Coil Locations (코일 위치에 따른 측방 동맥류 내부 혈류 유동의 변화)

  • Aneurysm embolisation method using coils have been widely used. Micro coils are introduced via a small catheter, and are packed inside of aneurysm sac, which induces intraaneurysmal flow stagnation and thrombus formation. When partial blocking of an aneurysm is inevitable, the location of coils is important since it changes the flow patterns inside the aneurysm, which affect the embolisation process. We measured the flow field inside the partially blocked lateral aneurysm models in vitro, and tried to suggest the effective locations of coils for aneurysm embolisation. Velocity fields are measured using a particle image velocitimeter for different coil locations- proximal neck, distal neck, proximal dome and distal dome. Flow into the aneurysm sac was significantly reduced in the distally blocked models, and coils at distal neck blocked inflow more effectively comparing to those at distal dome. This study suggests that distal neck should be the most effective location for aneurysm embolisation.

Effect of Cellulose Derivatives to Reduce the Oil Uptake of Deep Fat Fried Batter of Pork Cutlet (셀룰로오스 유도체가 돈가스 튀김옷의 흡유량 감소에 미치는 영향)

  • Pork cutlet is a favorite deep fat fried food item among Korean children, and an excellent protein-containing food, and as well as a simple and economical cuisine. However, the frying process adds a significant amount of calories. We added MC (Methylcellulose) and HPMC (Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose) to the batter in an effort to reduce oil uptake in prepared pork cutlets. After additions of MC and HPMC at concentrations of 0.5, 1, and 1.5% respectively, we assessed the viscosity of batter, color after frying, the increases in moisture retention and oil uptake, and sensory characteristics, comparing each quality. The viscosity of batter with 0.5% HPMC added (w/w) was similar to that of the controls, but the viscosity of all the batter with added MC was so much higher that it was difficult to use the batter for coating at the same temperature, leading to a failure even to prepare a sample. After frying, the batter with added HPMC provided significantly less oil uptake and more moisture retention than the batter to which MC was added. Additionally, with regard to color and sensory characteristics, the pork cutlet with 0.5% added HPMC was superior to the other samples. According to these results, we concluded that when cellulose derivatives are added in order to reduce oil uptake and to raise the moisture retention of the batter of pork cutlet, HPMC is more useful in this regard than MC. Additionally, the batter with 0.5% HPMC added appears to be the best of the tested choices, for three reasons: first, the viscosity of the batter is similar to that of the controls; second, the taste is not greasy after frying as the result of the reduced oil uptake and higher moisture retention; and third, the sensory characteristics of this sample, such as, color, crispiness, and hardness were the best among samples.

  • 최근 생활수준 및 생활환경의 향상에 힘입어 청결 및 쾌적을 추구하는 것이 사회적 현상으로 나타나고 있다. 요즘처럼 현대화된 시대에 '왜 항균제가 필요한 것일까' 라는 자연스러운 의문이 발생하게 되지만 현실은 항균제를 이용한 다양한 항균제품, 항균가전제품, 항균가공 내ㆍ건자재 및 항상 신선한 선도를 유지할 수 있는 제품 등이 호황을 누리고 있는 것이 현실이며 그 시장 규모는 3,000억원을 상회하고 있다. 이러한 항균 가공제품이 호평을 받는 사회적 배경은 우리를 둘러싼 주변 삶의 경제환경 신장에 따른 쾌적성 추구와 밀접한 관련이 있을 것이다. 이처럼 항균기능이 부여된 제품이 호평을 받고 있음에도 불구하고 국내에서는 항균제품의 주 기능 역할을 하는 항균제에 대한 개발은 초기단계로 국내 시장에서 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있는 실정이다. 국내의 경우, 유기 항균제의 사용이 전체 사용량의 80%를 차지하고 있고, 제올라이트나 인산염을 무기 담체로 항균성 금속 이온(Ag, Zn)을 물리적으로 결합시킨 무기 항균제가 개발된 것이 최근의 기술 수준이다. 이러한 유기 항균제는 미생물의 번식을 억제 또는 사멸시키기 위한 것이지만, 생체의 피부 세포에도 영향을 줄 수 있는 피부 자극원의 하나로 그 사용이 점차로 제한되고 있다. 무기 항균제는 안정성이나 항균력에서는 유기항균제 보다는 뛰어나지만 가격(경제성)이나 색(Color), 사용성 (Application)측면에서는 여러 가지 문제를 나타내고 있다. 귀금속이므로 가격이 고가이며, 금속고유의 색으로 회귀하려는 플라즈몬 효과에 의해 색(Color)의 조절이 불가능, 분말형태이므로 지류에 첨가시키는 방법 등이 큰 문제로 부각되고 있다. 이 러한 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 기술이 나노기술이다 나노기술(Nano-Technology)은 물질을 분자, 원자단위에서 규명하고 제어하는 기술로서 원자, 분자를 적절히 결합시킴으로서 기존 물질의 변형, 개조는 물론 신물질의 창출을 가능케 하는 기술이다. 나노기술은 여러분야로 세분화되지만 그중 산업화에 가장 접목이 용이한 기술이 나노입자(Nano-Particle)제어 기술이며, 나노입자는 통상적으로 입자크기가 수 nm에서 100nm이하 크기의 넓은 표면적을 가진 콜로이드 상의 불균일 분산입자를 말한다. 나노입자(Nano-Particle)는 기존의 입자($\mu\textrm{m}$)보다 물리적 및 광학적 성질이 우수하고 그 자체의 기능면에서도 탁월하기 때문에 국내외의 여러 산업에서도 기존제품의 품질 향상 및 기능성부여, 기존 공정의 개선 및 생산 원단위 절감 등 경제적, 생산적인 측면을 고려하여 적합한 나노입자를 채택, 적용하고자 하는데 많은 노력을 기울이고 있다. 이에 천연 항생제로 알려진 Ag, 즉 항균 및 탈취, 전기적 기능이 우수한 은(silver, Ag)을 나노(nm) 입자희 제조하고 이와 더불어 이산화티탄(TiO2) 복합 분체를 제조하여 제조된 나노 입자 및 복합 분체를 사용함으로써 환경 친화적이며 다양한 용도로 활용 가능한 소재 개발에 연구 내용을 두고 있다. 본 연구를 통한 기대 효과로서 환경성 측면에서는 환경 친화적인 나노 입자의 제조로 기능성 나노 입자에 친 환경성을 부여하여 유기계 항균제 대체 효과를 발현하고 이를 제품에 적용함으로써 다양한 기능을 가진 신소재 제조에 있다. 또한 경제적인 측면에서도 고부가 가치의 제품 개발에 따른 새로운 수요 창출과 수익률 향상, 기존의 기능성 안료를 나노(nano)화하여 나노 입자를 제조, 기존의 기능성 안료에 대한 비용 절감 효과등을 유도 할 수 있다. 역시 기술적인 측면에서도 특수소재 개발에 있어 최적의 나노 입자 제어기술 개발 및 나노입자를 기능성 소재로 사용하여 새로운 제품의 제조와 고압 기상 분사기술의 최적화에 의한 기능성 나노 입자 제조 기술을 확립하고 2차 오염 발생원인 유기계 항균제를 무기계 항균제로 대체할 수 있다. 이와 더불어 안료의 형상 균일화 기술을 확보하여 가격 경쟁력 및 부가가치 향상을 기대할 수 있다.

A Study on Preference Analysis on Eating/Drinking Table Decoration - Centering on Floral Art & Design on display space - (식음 테이블 데커레이션에 대한 선호 분석에 관한 연구 - 전시공간의 화예디자인을 중심으로 -)

  • This study aims to understand causal relationship among preference factors - preferred design, design image, and design elements-to create interaction between artists and spectators, concerning eating and drinking table decoration which is produced with subjective representation chiefly by virtue of the authors' conceptualization and planning. As an experimental research , face-to-face personal interviews have been made in off-line setting through questionnaires. Acquired information from it has been analyzed, which results are as follows. As harmonious, warm, womanish design image, combination of pink-tone similar colors were preferred. As image adjectives highly related with design preference were 'harmonious and inharmonious' A design factor of 'harmonious' was combination of similar colors, while that of 'inharmonious' was association of mixed colors. It has been found that 'colors' have been an important factor among preference design factors. As above, a new concept for design can be established by using data-based information, along with suggesting a direction for preferred design in the field of eating and drinking table decoration. Furthermore, it will be possible to make a study of new preferred design through evaluation of quantitative spectators in this area. It is expected that such researches could give an opportunity to get satisfactory results from newly experimented designs using quantitative data even in a creative design area, as well as table decoration.

Comparison of the bioactive compounds and anti-inflammatory effects found in different flower colors from Abeliophyllum distichum Nakai (미선나무 꽃 색에 따른 생리활성 화합물 및 항염증 활성 비교)

  • Abeliophyllum distichum (A. distichum, Korean endemic plant) is one genus and one species in the Oleaceae family. According to the color variation of petals and calyx, A. distichum is classified as A. distichum (white flower), A. distichum for. lilacinum (pink flowers), A. distichum for. eburneum (ivory flowers), and Okhwang 1 (golden flowers). In previous studies, bioactivities (antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-cancer) of A. distichum have been reported. We conducted a comparison of the differences in bioactive compounds and the anti-inflammatory effects on macrophages among four flowers of A. distichum (FAD). The identification and quantification of glycosides were analyzed by HPLC/PDA and LCMS. These results were shown FAD has rutin, hirsutrin, and acteoside. Antioxidant activity of FAD significantly decreased reactive oxygen species. In addition, FAD reduced the expression of pro-inflammatory mediators (nitric oxide, iNOS, and COX-2) in lipopolysaccharide-induced RAW 264.7 cells. For further study, we investigated the regulation of nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) and mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathways. In conclusion, FAD may exert anti-inflammatory effects by suppressing inflammatory mediators via regulations of NF-κB and MAPK signaling pathways. Therefore, these findings suggest that FAD is a potential resource as a preventative or therapeutic agent for inflammation.

In vitro regeneration and the change of anatomical appearance in Poncirus trifoliata RAFIN. (탱자(Poncirus trifoliata RAFIN.)의 기내 재분화 및 조직학적 특성)

  • In this study, the induction regeneration of callus from immature embryo in trifoliata orange (Poncirus trifoliata RAFIN.) were accomplished. The embryogenic calli were induced from the immature embryo derived from seed when the calli were irradiated for 16hr at about 2,000 Lux in $\frac{1}{2}$ MS medium supplemented with 3% sucrose, and 44.4$\mu$M BA. Regeneration to whole plants was the most successful in MS medium containing 5.0$\mu$M BA. The yellowish callus was developed at 2 to 3 weeks of culture and the callus was changed from yellow to green at 5 to 6 weeks culture. In vitro regeneration was directly induced from embryogenic callus in MS medium containing 3% sucrose and 5.0$\mu$M BA. Multishoot was formed at 16 weeks culture. Moreover, when the root-formed plantlet was transplanted to soil, they grew to a whole plant. The compact cultured-cells were observed by light microscope after 4 weeks of cultivation and the embryogenic clumps were formed about the 5 weeks. At the same time, the neighboring cells were liquefied. In addition, differentiation of leaf and stem from the callus was observed after 12 weeks. The developed oil sacs and the profacicular cambium of the immature leaf were observed after 18 weeks. Therefore, we can see the considerable changes of cell arrangements according to the developmental stages of calli from trifoliata orange.

  • This study is the visually emotional identification lighting for easy to distinguish using 3colors LED on AtoN facility in shore and harbor, which have realized a controller for certainly express the mouth of a harbor by red light and green light of both sides a harbor and for synchronization at a time of right and left or serial sequential the harbor guidance light through synchronizer or timer by GPS. There is expectation effect that is prevent a confusion about distinguish of facility by ship's operator and to beautify a night scene of harbor, which is expressed to emotional identification lighting differ from great many lighting of harbor with variable color lighting the lighthouse body and vertical layer color lighting using LED. The function of AtoN is adapted that guidance light through synchronization or serial sequential lighting and display of harbor safety message by CW lighting, and this system is the power consumption greatly reduce by candle alternated high light LED.

Plant Regeneration from Callus Cultures of Black Locust(Robinia pseudoacacia L.) (아까시나무 (Robinia pseudoacacia L.)의 callus 배양에 의한 식물체 재분화)

  • A plant regeneration system using shoot basal callus of in vitro cultured black locust(Robinia pseudoacacia L.) was established. Shoot basal callus was induced on MS medium supplemented with BA, or NAA, and mere more proliferated on BA containing medium than NAA containing medium at both light and dark conditions. Shoot basal callus was induced during shoot multiplication procedure. Two types of callus, green colored callus and whitish-yellow colored callus, were cultured on mMS medium containing 2.0 mg/l BA and 0.5 mg/l NAA. Green colored callus showed the shoot regeneration ability while whitish-yellow callus failed to regenerate shoot and died. Regenerated shoot were rooted on hormone-free ${\frac{1}{2}}MS$ medium within 2 weeks.
