생체모방 복합 눈 구조를 이용한 갈륨비소 반사방지막 제작

  • 갈륨비소(GaAs)는 수직공진표면방출레이저, 발광다이오드, 태양전지 등과 같은 광전소자에 널리 사용되는 물질이다. 그러나 높은 굴절률을 갖는 갈륨비소는 표면에서 30% 이상의 반사율을 갖기 때문에 광손실로 인해 소자의 성능이 저하된다. 따라서 표면 Fresnel 반사율을 낮출 수 있는 효율적인 반사방지막이 필요하다. 최근, 열적 불일치, 물질 선택, 접착력 저하의 단점을 가지고 있는 기존 다중박막을 대체하는 생체모방 서브파장 나노구조가 활발히 연구되고 있다. 이러한 구조는 공기(air)부터 갈륨비소까지 선형적인 유효굴절률 분포를 갖는 유효 단일박막과도 같기 때문에 소자 표면에서의 광손실을 줄일 수 있다. 더욱이, 자연계의 나방의 각막과 나비의 눈의 구조 형태를 모방한 반도체 생체모방 복합 눈(compound eye)은, 즉 마이크로 렌즈모양과 서브파장 나노격자구조의 복합적 형태, 표면에서 우수한 반사방지 특성을 나타낸다. 본 연구에서는, 포토리소그래피와 유도결합플라즈마 식각법을 이용하여 GaAs 기판 표면에 마이크로 렌즈 모양의 패턴을 형성한 후, 스핀코팅을 이용하여 나노 크기를 갖는 실리카 구를 도포하여 건식 식각함으로써 복합 눈 구조를 갖는 갈륨비소 반사방지막을 제작하였다. 제작된 샘플의 표면 및 식각 형상은 전자현미경(scanning electron microscope)을 사용하여 관찰하였으며, UV-vis-NIR spectrophotometer를 사용하여 반사율을 측정하였다.

  • Recently public concerns about the endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDC) have resulted in the increased legistrative and regulatory attentions in many countries. Endocrine disrupter is an exogeneous chemical interfering the synthesis, transport binding, action or elimination of natural hormones in the body, which are responsible for the maintenance of homeostasis, reproduction, development and/or behavior. Reported possible harmful effects on human and animal lives, possible developmental anomalities, reproductive malfunctions and behaviors, and the ways of EDC accumulation in animal kingdom are reviewed. The current scientific papers and knowledges on the global contamination of EDCs demonstrates the conclusive data that EDCs have the potentials to cause the calamitous extermination of human and animal species by the global contamination.

영국(英國) 민영화기업(民營化企業)의 최초공모주(最初公募株) 가격결정(價格決定)과 투자성과분석(投資成果分析)

  • 최근 우리 정부는 공기업(公企業)의 민영화(民營化)를 적극 추전하고 있는바, 우리보다 앞서 민영화정책(民營化政策)을 성공적으로 추진한 경험이 있는 영국(英國)의 경우를 살펴봄으로써 앞으로 계속될 민영화(民營化) 정책수행(政策遂行)에 도움이 될 정책적(政策的) 시사점(示唆點)을 얻을 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 특히 본고에서는 민영화기업(民營化企業)의 최초공모주(最初公募株) 가격결정(價格決定), 민영화기업 주식(株式)의 투자성과(投資成果) 및 민영화가 주식대중화(株式大衆化)에 미친 영향의 분석에 초점을 두고 있다. 민영화 기업의 최초공모주(最初公募株)는 일반기업의 최초공모주에 비해 현저히 저평가되어 발행되고 있음이 조사되었는데, 이는 정보비소유(情報非所有) 투자자(投資者)에게 최소한의 수익률 즉 무위험수익율(無危險收益率)은 보장해 주어야 한다는 Rock(1986)의 winner's curse 모형의 관점에서 설명되고 있다. 민영화기업의 최초공모주는 장기적으로 정(正)의 초과수익율(超過收益率)을 시현하고 있는데 이는 일반기업의 최초공모주의 주가(株價)와는 대조적인 것이다. 영국(英國) 민영화기업의 주식공급(株式供給)은 개별주주수의 증가를 가져와 주식대중화(株式大衆化)에는 상당한 영향을 미친 것으로 분석되었으나 많은 사람들이 단기간내에 주식(株式)을 매각하고 있어 장기보유유도(長期保有誘導)에는 미흡했던 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이러한 분석결과는 앞으로 우리나라의 공기업민영화(公企業民營化) 추진과정에서 주요 쟁점이 될 것으로 예상되는 주가결정(株價決定)에 대한 시사점을 제공할 수 있으며, 또한 일반투자자(一般投資者)의 민영화주식에 대한 투자전략을 수립하는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

  • Staged combustion, such as air- and fuel-staging, is a relatively well-known technique fur reduction of NOx emission and used in combination with other techniques nowadays. However, the design variables are still selected depending upon operating conditions. There are many variables tested to investigate the NOx emission characteristics fur changing of fuel or air velocity, swirl intensity, and staging ratio of air and fuel in multi-staged burner. In air-staging case, the fuel-rich condition of the primary combustion zone is very helpful to reduce NOx emission and its range is known to be restricted by the increase of carbon monoxide. However, in many cases carbon monoxide level is not too high to be restricted operating condition. So we tried to expand the equivalence ratio range to the richer condition in the primary combustion zone and certificate the function of each burner component and its contribution to the overall NOx production.

  • A compute program based on the minimization of total Gibbs' free energy and enthalpy balance was developed to calculate the chemical equilibrium composition and adiabatic flame temperature, especially stressed on NO and CO concentration of Heavy oil. Twenty four components of combustion gases which would be produced from the combustion of Heavy oil were chosen and utilized for the products composition analysis of competing combustion reaction. As the results, following conclusions were turned out; (1) Maximum adiabatic flame temperature was found around to be 2900K, when the stoichiometric air ratio was 0.8. (2) Maximum NO quantity in adiabatic process was occurred when supplied air quantity was around 120% of theoretical air requirement. (3) NO and CO quantities were increased with combustion gas temperature at constant stoichiometric air ratio. (4) At constant temperature of combustion gas, NO quantity was increased and Co quantity was decreased with supplied air quantity.

  • Liquefied Petroleum Gas(LPG) has attracted attention as a alternative fuel. The lean-burn LPG direct injection engine is a promising technology because it has an advantage of lower harmful emissions. This study aims to investigate the effect of combustion strategy and excess air ratio on combustion and emission characteristics in lean-burn LPG direct injection engine. Fuel consumption and combustion stability were measured with change of the ignition timing and injection timing at various air/fuel ratio conditions. The lean combustion characteristics were evaluated as a function of the excess air ratio with the single injection and multiple injection strategy. Furthermore, the feasibility of lean operation with stratified mixture was assessed when comparing the combustion and emission characteristics with premixed lean combustion.

  • This experimental study deals with on Nitric Oxide Formation & Reduction in Industrial Bunner. In this study, Laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) techniques have been used for quantitative measurements of Nitric Oxide. The NO A-X (0, 0) Vibrational band around 226 nm was excited using a XeCl excimer-pumped dye laser. And on-line excitation used $P_{21}+Q_1(14.5)/R_{12}+Q_2(20.5)/P_1(23.5)$ transition, for minimizing the other interferential effect. The measurements were taken NO concentration distribution in double swirling diffusion flame. In this swirl burner, NO concentration in downstream fo the flame decrease as primary/secondary air ratio increases.

  • The supersonic wind tunnel is a common facility to studies the aerodynamic phenomenon around the high speed vehicle or weapon system whose operating speed is greater than sonic speed. In this study, a design procedure and selecting the components of a new supersonic wind tunnel whose nozzle exit is $125mm{\times}100mm$ is considered. An operating test of this wind tunnel is being conducted to compare the result with the design values, mach number, etc.

  • A direct photograph measurement technique was used to determine the spatial distribution of the spray droplet diameter in subsonic crossflow and it also obtain that SMD distribution by using PLLIF technique. The injector internal flow was classified as three modes such as a normal, cavitation, and hydraulic flip. The objectives of this research are getting a droplet distribution and drop size measurement of normal flow and compare with the other flow effects. Although the study showed visually that drop size were spatially dependent of Air-stream velocity, fuel injection velocity, and normalized distance from the injector exit length.(x/d, y/d) There are also difference characteristics between cavitation, hydraulic flip and the normal flow.

  • In order to develop high efficiency propeller for multicopter type UAV, we designed, analyzed and tested aerodynamic and structural dynamics. For the design of the high efficiency propeller, the optimum design method was applied for the determination of the airfoil and the three-dimensional planform is designed to reduce induced power of the propeller. The flight suitability of the derived shape was determined through structural design and analysis. The rotation test was performed to confirm the performance of the analytically designed shape. In this paper, we propose a procedural propeller design methodology using these design analysis test methods.
