Hangul Encoding Standard based on Unicode (유니코드의 한글 인코딩 표준안)

  • In Unicode, two types of Hangul encoding schemes are currently in use, namely, the "precomposed modern Hangul syllables" model and the "conjoining Hangul characters" model. The current Unicode Hangul conjoining rules allow a precomposed Hangul syllable to be a member of a syllable which includes conjoining Hangul characters; this has resulted in a number of different Hangul encoding implementations. This unfortunate problem stems from an incomplete understanding of the Hangul writing system when the normalization and encoding schemes were originally designed. In particular, the extended use of old Hangul was not taken into consideration. As a result, there are different ways to represent Hangul syllables, and this cause problem in the processing of Hangul text, for instance in searching, comparison and sorting functions. In this paper, we discuss the problems with the normalization of current Hangul encodings, and suggest a single efficient rule to correctly process the Hangul encoding in Unicode.

A Study on the Hangul Syllables of Unicode System considering Data Transmission Efficiency (데이터전송효율을 고려한 유니코드의 한글글자마디에 대한 연구)

  • The paper studied possibility of improvement of efficient of data processing in the line coder when Hangul syllables in Unicode system is used for the source code. The scrambling in the line coder is to solve the problem happened due to the source code. The study is based on the HDB-3 scrambling method in ITU-T standards that is applied to AMI line coder. The referred data of Hangul syllables and its use frequency which are required to analysis was used the data extracted from the source data of the National Korean Language Institute. According to the analysis, the average 24% scrambling was generated in source code of Hangul syllables in Unicode system. When the referred Hangul syllables was applied to Unicode system, the average 27% scrambling was producted. Total 8,924ea Hangul syllables in 11,172ea Hangul syllables in Unicode system were not scrambled. Therefore the referred Hangul syllables 1,540ea were accepted in the unscrambled code areas. As a result, the existing Unicode Hangul syllable codes can't prevent the scrambling, but it is possible to completely remove the 27% scrambling with new source coding system. And then, it can be improved the data processing efficient upto minimum 27% in line coder by software in presentation layer instead of physical layer.

  • 본 논문은 실행시에 가변적인 형태의 사용자 인터페이스를 제공하기 위해서 GUI 코드 생성기 시스템을 구현한다. 이 시스템에서는 XML 문서를 이용하여 GUI구조를 기술한다. SAX를 이용하여 파싱한다. 파싱 결과물인 트리를 비지터 패턴을 이용하여 각 태그에 해당하는 코드를 생성하고 이 코드를 자이썬 인터프린터를 이용하여 사용자 인터페이스를 생성한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 Object Modeling Technique를 기반으로 C++ 원시코드로부터 클래스 계층구조의 정보를 추출하여 데이터베이스에 저장하고 계층구조를 이해하기 위한 클래스 계층구조를 디자인으로 도식화하여 이를 다시 디자인 상태에서 C++ 원시코드와 동적 연결이 가능한 역공학 도구를 제안한다. 본 연구는 C++ 원시코드와 클래스 계층 구조를 표현하는 디자인과 상호 동적 연결이 가능하므로 C++원시코드의 이해와 관리가 효율적이다.

Scrambling Occurrence Frequency in HDB-3 in UTF-8 Coding of UNICODE Hangul Jamo (Unicode 한글낱자의 UTF-8 부호화에 따른 HDB-3 스크램블링 발생빈도)

  • This paper has studied about the scrambling occurrence frequency in UTF-8 coding system for Unicode Hangul Jamo codes. The scrambling methode applied in the study is HDB-3 in AMI line coding that is international transmission standard. In the study, the source coding rule was applied to analysis the scrambling occurrence. The quantity of the scrambling occurrence was calculated by the number of times and frequency rate of the scrambling occurrence in Hangul Jamo and Compatibity Hangul Jamo. In the case of Hangul Jamo, the number of times and frequency rate in Unicode and UTF-8 were 24times, 52% and 148times, 228% respectively. In the case of Compatibility Hangul Jamo, that were 10times, 14% and 83times, 131% respectively. As a result, when Hangul Jamo and Compatibility Hangul Jamo in UNICODE were transformed to UTF-8, the scrambling frequency rates were increased 340% and 851% respectively.

  • 음소의 확률적 분포를 이용하는 음소 HMM 모델을 결정하기 위한 여러 가지 거리 측정방법에 대한 연구이다. 음소 HMM 모델 결정을 위해서 LPC 계수를 이용하고, 거리 측정자를 LPC 계수, LPC 스첵트럼, LPC 켑스트럼 등의 파라미터를 이용하고, 또한 양자화 과정은 k-means 와 LBG 알고리즘을 혼합한 하이브리드 알고리듬을 사용하였다. LPC 코드북을 구성하기 위해 세 가지 파라미터를 유클리디안 거리로 거리측정에 이용하였다. 이렇게 양자화한 파라미터의 평균과 분산을 구하고, 양자화한 파라미터 코드북의 확률갑승ㄹ 비교해 한국어 음소 HMM 모델 결정을 위한 거리 측정 파라미터를 비교하였으며, 그 결과 LPC 계수를 주파수 영역으로 변환하여 유클리디안 거리를 이용한 코드북의 분산이 작으므로 상대적으로 높은 확률을 가짐을 보았다.

A Study on the Use of Hangeul Identifier in Java (Java에서 한글 식별자 사용에 관한 연구)

  • The use of 'Idumunja' for programs is inevitable before Unicode came out. However, even now that Unicode has been established as an international standard in both name and reality, there has been an insistence that the use of Hangeul identifiers should be avoided. This study surveyed the students for the reasons why they prefer to use English identifiers and for the notations that can substitute the function of English capital letters in using Hangeul identifiers. Then, we discussed the vanity of argument that the use of English identifiers is a global trend, and proposed two notations for the use of Korean identifiers. In order to improve the productivity of software, programmer's job satisfaction, and the ease of maintenance, the use of Hangeul identifiers should become rapidly common.

  • 4.8kbps 내외의 전송률에서 양호한 음질을 제공하는 CELP 계열 음성 부호화기 중에서 인터넷 폰 및 화상회의를 목적으로 개발된 G.723.1은 5.3kbps ACELP(Algebraic CELP)와 6.3kbps MP-MLQ(Multi-Pulse Maximum Likelihood Quantization) 두 개의 부호화기를 포함하고 있다[1]. 이 중 MP-MLQ는 고정 코드북 검색 시 많은 계산량으로 인해 실시간 구현에 어려움이 따르고 있다. 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위해 본 논문에서는 유/무성음을 분리한 후 grid bit를 먼저 결정하여 코드북을 검색하는 방법 제안한다. LSP 파라미터의 분포특성을 이용하여 유/무성음을 분리한 후 무성음에 대해서는 스펙트럼 정보만 전송하고 유성음에 대해서만 코드북 검색을 수행한다. 그리고 코드북 검색 시 Grid bit를 먼저 결정하여 수행하였다. Grid bit는 짝/홀수번째 전체 펄스를 이용하여 합성한 합성음과 DC 성분이 제거된 원음과의 비교를 통하여 결정하였다. 실험 결과 전체 처리시간은 평균적으로 약 $20.55\%$ 감소하였으며 주관적 음질평가 결과 음질 열하는 거의 발생하지 않았다.

  • In this thesis, we propose a font development system that can handle various fonts efficiently in the GSM mobile terminals. The ASCII code was widely used to express characters on the computer in the beginning but it has limitation for representing many characters. Recently, Unicode was developed to add more characters. Researches on code systems are still on going to express the characters more efficiently. Attempt of applying this kind of Unicode to the mobile terminal didn't work efficiently since there are too many characters for various languages. In this research, we designed and developed a font system to shorten processing time and efforts that apply Unicode to mobile terminals to solve these problems. Our system can save processing time and efforts since it reduces the meaningless processing compared to other systems.

Beamforming and User Scheduling for Device-to-Device Underlaying Cellular Networks (셀룰러 네트워크에서 D2D 통신을 고려한 빔 형성 및 스케줄링 기법)

  • In this paper, the beamforming and user scheduling scheme for device-to-device (D2D) underlaying celullar networks with partial channel state information is investigated. In the proposed scheme, cellular users whose channels are nearly orthogonal to the channel between base station and D2D receiver are selected for unitary beamforming so as to minimize the interference to the D2D receiver. The interference caused by underlaying D2D communication can be minimized by reducing the D2D transmitter's transmission power. To enhance the cellular users' throughput further, we also investigate codebook generation method in which each code vector belongs to multiple unitary code matrices. From simulation results, we show that the proposed beamforming and user scheduling scheme mitigates D2D interference to the cellular networks and the codebook generation method improves cellular users' throughput.
