This study is about evaluation by users and evaluation cases centering packaging and containers for Universal Design products which are currently being used. This study also shows standards of evaluation for Universal Design items which are required for Universal Design and packaging. I also conducted a case study in Japan as a preceding case to suggest a viable guideline in time of displaying design. As a result, I could grasp parts to be improved and problems regarding standards of guideline for evaluation and evaluation methods which are necessary for developing goods by user evaluation. In addition, as shown by advanced cases, I suggested the necessity that the Universal Design should be fairly reflected in all design parts because of an increase in cases of packaging and containers corresponding to product identification items in the design evaluation division.

본 논문에서는 유니버설 조인트의 동역학적인 해석을 위하여 오일러 각 순서에 의한 방법과 4원수에 의한 방법으로 운동방정식을 유도하였다. 원동축과 종동축의 회전은 물론 세차운동을 하는 회전축을 포함할 때 각 방법의 상이점을 발견하였다. 이러한 시스템의 동역학적 정식화를 바탕으로 한 수치 예제를 통하여 기존의 오일러 각 방법과 제시한 4원수 방법의 해석 결과를 비교하였다.

본 논문에서는 블루투스와 COMA용 무선단말 기능이 내장된 PDA를 사용하여 인터넷 정보가전용 유니버설 리모트 컨트롤러를 설계 구현한다. PDA 단말로 정보가전을 원격 제어하고 모니터링하기 위해 XML과 CDMA의 SMS 정보가전 메시지 형식을 설계한다. 또한 흠 서버에는 블루투스와 CDMA를 포팅하고 정보가전 명령 및 메시지 매핑과 PDA 상에 유니버설 리모트 컨트롤러 인터페이스를 구현하여 테스트한다.

최근, 디지털 기술의 발전과 인터넷 보급이 활성화 되면서 PC 뿐만 아니라 모든 단말기가 네트워크에 상시 접속되어, 누구든지 시간과 장소에 제약이 없이 다양한 서비스를 제공 받을 수 있는 유비쿼터스환경의 사회로의 진입이 가시화되고 있다. 이러한 기술을 가능하게 하는 핵심 코어 기술 중의 하나가 메모리 기술이다. 최근에 유비쿼터스용 유니버설 메모리가 연구 개발되고 있어 이 기술에 대한 원리와 간단한 구조 및 최근의 기술 동향에 대하여 살펴보고, 향후의 유니버설 메모리 기술의 연구개발 방향에 대하여 언급하였다. 여기서는 유니버설 메모리라고 불리는 차세대의 비휘발성 메모리 중에서 현재 가장주목 받고 있는 MRAM, FeRAM, PRAM의 기본적인 구조에 대해서 설명하고 그 최근의 기술 개발 동향에 대하여 분석하여 언급하고자 한다.

This study is intended to apply universal design concept and guideline to the boarding facilities of pleasure boat. In order to fulfill the purpose of the study a site survey at Suyoung Marina has been carried out. Out of the survey some problems are picked up for each part of access and pier facility, boarding platform and inside door. Practical measures for improving the situation are suggested.

Maurer가 제안한 유니버설 통계적 검정을 소개하고 검정에 사용된 통계량의 의미를 분석한다. 기존 검정법을 포괄하는 이 검정법은 보다 넓은 의미의 통계적 결점들을 탐지해낼 수 있다. 또한, 검정에 사용되는 통계량은 엔트로피와 밀접한 연관이 있으며 암호학적 응용에서 시스템의 안전성에 영향을 키치는 요소들을 탐지해 낸다. 이러한 특징과 함께 기존 검정법 보다 상당히 긴 표본 수열을 필요로 한다는 사실이 유니버설 검정의 단점으로 지적되어 왔다. 그러나 본 논문에서는 빈도(freequency) 검정법과의 비교를 통해서 미세한 편의(bias)를 탐지해내기 위한 도구로서는 유니버설 검정이 오히려 더 효율적이라는 사실을 보였다.

Universal designs begins from observing things. This paper understands contradiction and irrationality about drink bottle used unintentionally in our common life. Those have not found out until now. So an example observation about problem derivation and a practice method of Universal design is presented. People of various classes, such as a child, an old person and a woman, a male, the man in the street, and a disabled person, have been using drink bottle recently. However, the design of drink bottle has become on the basis of the fine and common man, so the other people, for example, children or handicapped persons experience many situations which cannot open cap or cannot be drunk without external help. This research posed questions from the children to the elders about drink bottle by the viewpoint of universal design paying attention to such problems. In the research result, the fixed quantity and qualitative quantity about problem are commented. And the fixed quantity utilized frequency analysis and chi-square verification ($X^2$) for the questionnaire result on the basis, and the qualitative quantity pointed out result in the universal design principle through the data of a precedence research result. An alternative plan for drink bottle's design is presented through case observation of conceptual approach to method of Universal design.

The age and physical condition of users who use public libraries are becoming diverse in recent years. The need for universal design is recognized as important to create a public library with a convenient and pleasant environment in consideration of various users. The purpose of this research is to propose the universal design application method after analyzing level of application of common spaces in public libraries. First, the environment related to 'Perceptable Information' with low level of universal design should be improved first. Second, it is important to apply it from the initial planning phase to create a more advanced universal design environment. Third, careful consideration and awareness of all users of the library should precede to engance 'Flexibility in Use' related environment.

Recently, in each local self-governments Japan, the importation of universal design policy is actively being expanded as a plan to maximize living satisfaction of.citizens within the region. This research investigates the background on how the local self-governments ended up importing the universal design administrative policy, investigates the policies which each self governing bodies have been promoting and presents necessary stipulations following those policies. When we sum up the necessity of promoting universal design by local self-governments, although the we carry various problems in the promoting process in the settlement of provincial era and promoting substantiality of it, we can point out the low birth rate phenomenon, progression of aged people's society, diversification of values as a result of social and economic maturity, etc. as social and economic background. For people's values, as they escape from the economic they attach great importance to economic supremacy, they respect culture, environment, etc. with higher level than economic aspect and the improvement of life's quality is becoming important. Meanwhile, the universal design which is known to many users as a usable design concept as reach to a point where it is getting attention as a basic concept of 21st century design. Today, each of local self-governments in Japan are making various efforts for unperturbed importation and application of universal design to local communities through homepage, universal design guideline or report, various workshops, etc. Especially, there are universal design policies of public areas, facilities, manufacture of other products and information for the contents of the policy. The enforcement of universal design policy puts importance in 1) the process of planning, alteration, policy scheme and decision making 2) the process of policy's enforcement 3) the probation process of all processes and I could find out that equal participation of roles by local citizens, citizen's organizations, companies with the administration hasn't been adopted for each of these processes.
