The Strategy for Interconnection Branch Line Construction used Optimization Program (최적화 기법을 적용한 효율적인 철도 연결선 구축 전략)

  • One of the methods which can enhance the efficiency of railroad network is construction of interconnection branch line for several route to share one railway. In Korea, this method already has been implemented or excuted as project level. This study suggests a network design model and a solution algorithm to choice most proper site to construction it and determine the priority of branch lines which can be considered in planning level, not project level. The model is a non-linear optimization program which minimize total cost-construction cost, operating cost and passengers' travel cost. The decision variables are a binary variable to explain whether construction or not and its direction and a integer variable of the frequencies of travel routes. The solution algorithm-problem solution and route choice and also the result of implementation for example network are suggested. This result can be more advanced after application in real network and calibration of parameters.

Optimized shape design and endurance life prediction of engine mount rubber (엔진 마운트 고무의 최적 형상 설계와 내구수명 예측)

  • 차량에서 엔진은 가장 큰 질량 집중체(concentrated mass)이다. 만약 엔진이 적절하게 구속되지 않거나 절연되어 있지 않으면, 차체에 진동을 일으키는 원인이 된다. 엔진은 다양한 진동 교란을 받는데 엔진 마운트는 이러한 모든 것들을 고립시키는 역할을 해야 하며, 엔진은 정적인 장착 하중에 대한 지지와 전후, 좌우 및 수직 방향의 운동에 대해 적절한 강성을 가져야 한다. 또한 정숙성을 향상시키기 위해서는 엔진 마운트의 재료인 고무의 강성계수를 낮추는 것이 필요한데 이는 일반적으로 내구성의 저하를 가져온다. 따라서 개발과정에서 강성계수를 낮추는 변경을 하면 부품의 내구성을 보정함에 따르는 재평가 또한 필요하게 된다. 엔진 마운트에 쓰이는 고무부품의 해석은 엔진 마운트 시스템에 대한 진동 해석 및 내구수명의 예측과 병행해야 하며, 진동해석으로부터 얻은 하중 지지 능력 등의 모든 요구 특성을 만족하기 위해서는 고무 재료의 특성에 대한 지식, 엔진 마운트의 장착 위치에 대한 결정 능력과 함께 주어진 조건에 대한 형상의 최적 설계 능력 등이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 기본적인 형상을 파라미터화하여 엔진 마운트의 형상을 최적화 하는 절차를 제안하였다. 현재 승용차에 널리 사용되고 있는 부시형(bush type) 엔진마운트를 적용 모델로 선택하였으며, 엔진 마운트의 기본적인 형상을 몇개의 파라미터를 사용하여 정의하고 설계 사양으로 주어지는 강성값과 각 파라미터들의 조합으로 구성되는 형상이 갖는 강성값의 차이가 최소가 되도록 파라미터 값들을 최적화하였다. 최적화된 파라미터 값들로 구성되는 형상을 내구 성능, 성형성등을 고려하여 최종 형상으로 결정한다. 내구성능의 예측은 금속부품의 내구수명 예측에 널리 이용되고 있는 방법이 방진 고무부품의 경우에도 적용 가능한지를 검토하고, 방진 고무부품에도 일반적으로 적용될수 있는 내구수명 예측방안의 개발 가능성을 타진해 보았다. 본 연구의 목표는 시제품을 제작하기 이전에 설계된 부품에 대한 스프링 상수 및 내구특성을 체계적으로 규명하여 제품 시험의 횟수를 줄이고, 보다 정밀한 제품을 제작할 수 있도록 하기 위한 것이다.

  • In Korea construction project case, architectural construction project is curtailed production because information network process within multidisciplinary isn't smooth. Particularly, the construction is not insufficient about performance, cost and material, construction process, etc. in result various question arises because of design error in construction step. And various mistake is made because communication path within multidisciplinary isn't smooth in architectural design and design change process. This research proposed the optimization method of building system which is satisfied with performance of building, cost, constructability, and proposed the information management plan which is connected with that. And The construction information in this research is restricted to design/construction information which is considerate in design step.

  • It is very hard to obtain a general algorithm for solution of all the constraint satisfaction optimization problems. However, if the whole problem is separated into subproblems by characteristics of decision variables, we can assume that an algorithm to obtain solutions of these subproblems is easier. Under the assumption, we propose a problem classifying rule which subdivide the whole problem, and develop backtracking algorithms fit for these subproblems. One of the methods of finding a quick solution is efficiently arrange for any order of the search tree nodes. We choose the cluster head positioning problem in wireless sensor networks in which static characteristics is dominant and interference minimization problem of RFID readers that has hybrid mixture of static and dynamic characteristics. For these problems, we develop optimal variable ordering algorithms, and compare with the conventional methods. As a result of classifying the problem into subproblems, we can realize a backtracking framework for systematic search. We also have shown that developed backtracking algorithms have good performance in their quality.

  • This paper presents a design and optimization of the fully-active transfemoral prosthesis leg system. As it has one degree of freedom in knee joint, this prosthesis leg can imitate the human's gait. The weight of system, which makes the users more comfortable due to less tiredness, and the knee joint torque to rise stability of the system are major factors of prosthesis leg system. Thus the mechanism of prosthesis changes from 3-linkage type to geared type. The sensorized foot is also designed to effectively determine human's gait by measuring deformation of the foot during gait. Topology optimization is carried out for the sensorized foot to remove its unnecessary weight. The safety of optimized foot is verified by carrying out finite element analysis.

  • To provide a method for optimizing the variation range of the received power is applied to Adaptive Genetic Algorithm in a LED communication environment. By optimizing the power distribution dynamically for mobile or fixed using a genetic algorithm, to eliminate the need for a system design that is customized to be independent of the movement pattern of the user's adaptability, and environmental properties. It is possible to improve easily the convenience of the user. The room power deviation from any location can be reduced by reducing the energy. the simulation results, the proposed method does not exist obstacles in an empty room with power deviation $10.5{\mu}W$ decreased 10 percent to reduce the deviation of the received power is shown that. In comparison with conventional methods, convergence to the optimal value is improved, the genetic algorithm proposed was confirmed to be efficient in terms of energy savings.

  • In this paper, the microwave characteristics of traveling-wave electroabsorption coplanar waveguide modulator have been analyzed and optimized precisely by using the 3-dimensional finite-difference time-domain method (FDTD). Microwave characteristics are affected by the thickness of intrinsic layer, the width of meas, and the distance between signal electrode and ground electrode on traveling-wave type structure. In case that intrinsic layers are composed of InAsP/InGaP (1.3Q), the optimized distance between signal electrode and ground electrode, the optimized intrinsic region thickness and the width of waveguide are founded to be $3{\mu}m,\;039{\mu}m\;and\;2{\mu}m$, respectively, to minimize microwave loss and to obtain velocity and impedance matched structure. By using the FDTD, we could design the traveling-wave electroabsorption modulator more precisely.

  • In this study an optimization of greenhouse roof shape was performed to maximize solar light transmission which is one of the most important elements in greenhouse environment. To determine roof shape that maximize the total light transmissivity, a computer model for analysing light transmissivity was composed and the Genetic Algorithms was applied for solving optimization problems. By setting composite model as objective function(fitness function), the optimum combination of design variables(roof inclination angle, width ratio) was searched using Genetic Algorithms. The optimum combination of input variables for the maximum light transmissivity at Suwon in winter was found 40 degree root angle , 0.5 width ratio, for two span greenhouses and 37 $_。 / roof angle, 0.7 width ratio, for single span greenhouses.es.

  • Recently, an intelligent service robot is being developed for use in guiding and providing information to visitors about the building at public institutions. The intelligent robot has a sensor at the bottom to recognize its location. Four wheels, which are arranged in the form of a lozenge, support the robot. This robot cannot be operated on uneven ground because its driving parts are attached to its main body that contains the important internal components. Continuous impact with the ground can change the precise positions of the components and weaken the connection between each structural part. In this paper, the design of the suspension system for such a robot is described. The dynamic model of the robot is created, and the driving characteristics of the robot with the designed suspension system are simulated. Additionally, the suspension system is optimized to reduce the impact for the robot components.

Evaluation of Air Permeability of Virtual Cement Paste Specimen with Linear Void Ratio Gradient Constructed using Stochastic Optimization (확률적 최적화를 활용한 연속적인 공극비 기울기를 갖는 시멘트 풀 가상 시편 제작 및 투기율 분석)

  • In this study, a virtual specimen with a linear continuous gradient of void ratio (FGM: Functional Graded Material) is constructed using low-order probability functions of two real cement paste specimens. Two real specimens with difference void ratios are taken from X-ray CT to construct the virtual specimen. A virtual specimen with a gradient void distribution, whose average void ratio is between void ratios of two homogeneous real specimens, is constructed using a stochastic optimization approach. The void ratio distribution is assumed to be linear, and continuously varies in the vertical direction. In this study, a gradient term of void ratio is incorporated into the objective function as well as low-order probability functions from the previous research. To confirm the effect of gradient void distribution on the material response, air permeability is evaluated using finite element analysis. The analysis results are compared with experimental results, and confirm the effect of gradient void distribution on permeability.
