  • In the microcell or picocell-based system the frequent movements of mobiles bring about excessive traffics into the networks. In this paper we study multi-criteria decision making which can increase estimation accuracy by considering other multiple decision parameters than the received signal strength.

  • GPS(Global Positioning System)는 미국방성에서 개발하여 현재 운용중이며 2000년대에는 첨단 교통체계(Intelligent Transport System: ITS) 및 항공관제에도 본격적인 이용이 예상된다. 이러한 GPS는 위성을 이용한 위치, 속도 및 시간 측정서비스를 제공하고 있으며 많은 응용분야로의 적용이 가능하다. 또한, 미국의 GPS 유료화 정책에 따라 세계 각국은 대체 위성 항법시스템의 개발에 많은 노력을 기울이고 있으며, 이를 표준으로 제정하기 위한 노력이 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 따라서, 본 고에서는 GPS에 대한 세계 각국들의 개발 및 표준화 동향과 주요 국제기구에 대하여 알아본다.

  • 해상 교통 관제 시스템을 구축하기 위한 센서 장치 중, 자동식별장치(AIS, Automatic Identification System)는 핵심적인 역할을 수행하는 센서 장치다. AIS가 제공하는 메시지 중 국제해사기구(IMO, International Maritime Organization) Circ.289 권고안의 6번 및 8번 메시지를 통한 ASM (Application Specific Message)은 선박위치송출이라는 AIS 고유 목적을 넘어 AIS 활용 범위를 확대시킨 좋은 예이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 AIS-ASM 서비스를 분석하여 해상 안전 분야에 적용할 수 있는 방안을 제시하고, 더 나아가 일부 AIS-ASM 서비스의 개선 방안을 소개하고자 한다.

  • 지난 4월10일, 오전 10시 56분쯤 러시아 모스크바 서쪽 350km에 위치한 스몰렌스크 군용공항 활주로 부근에 Tu-154 폴란드 정부 전용기가 추락하는 사고가 발생했다. 이 사고로 레흐 카친스키(Kaczynski) 폴란드 대통령 부부를 비롯한 폴란드 정부대표단 88명과 승무원 8명 등 96명의 탑승객 전원이 사망했다. 일단 러시아 정부는 관제탑의 지시를 따르지 않고 무리하게 착륙을 시도한 조종사의 과실로 보고 있으나 정치적으로 민감한 사안이라 정확한 사고원인 규명에는 다소 시간이 소요될 것으로 전망된다. 이번 사고를 통해 항공사고 원인규명을 위한 항공사고 조사에 대해 알아본다.

  • IVEF(Inter-system VTS Exchange Format)은 VTS(Vessel Traffic System)간에 데이터를 교환하기 위해 설계된 프로토콜이다. IVEF는 VTS간의 데이터 교환을 위한 표준 포맷으로 향후 구축될 VTS 시스템에 반드시 적용되어야 하는 기술이다. IVEF에는 선박에 현재위치, 선명, NMSI 등 여러 정보들이 포함되어 있어 다양한 형태로 활용가능하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 IVEF를 이용하여 다양한 플랫폼에서 활용할 수 있는지 확인해 보고, 특히 안드로이드 단말기에서 IVEF 포맷을 활용할 수 있는 방안에 대해서 제안해 보고자 한다.

  • Inside noise level of a running train in open field is the summation of air borne noise and structure-borne noise. Anti-roll bar is the major transmission path of vibration from bogie. And this vibration gives an effect to the structure borne noise. In this paper, the effect of anti-roll bar is investigated. Structure borne noise is analyzed in terms of changing the mounting position of anti-roll bar to reduce inside noise levels.

  • Recent development in wireless computing and GPS technology cause the active development in the application system of location information in real-time environment such as transportation vehicle management, air traffic control and location based system. Especially, study about vehicle location tracking system, which monitors the vehicle's position in a control center, is appeared to be a representative application system. However, the current vehicle location tracking system can not provide vehicle position information that is not stored in a database at a specific time to users. We designed a vehicle location tracking system that could track vehicle location using mobile interface such as PDA. The proposed system consist of a vehicle location retrieving server and a mobile interface. It is provide not only the moving vehicle's current location but also the position at a past and future time which is not stored in database for users.

  • Ships' tracking data are being monitored and collected by vessel traffic service center in real time. In this paper, we intend to contribute to vessel traffic service operators' decision making through extracting ships' tracking patterns and models based on these data. Support Vector Machine algorithm was used for vessel track modeling to handle and process the data sets and k-fold cross validation was used to select the proper parameters. Proposed data processing methods could support vessel traffic service operators' decision making on case of anomaly detection, calculation ships' dead reckoning positions and etc.

  • ICAO has recommended the introduction of New CNS/ATM based on GNSS technologies and Data link communication to purpose increasing air traffic demand. The CNS/ATM is composed of communication, Navigation, Surveillance and Air Traffic Management. Cockpit Display Traffic Information(CDTI) that is equipment to share air traffic information to Pilot, Traffic Controller and ground vehicles has been built based on Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast(ADS-B) information in Surveillance field. This paper is research that what is the effect between pilot and controller through CDTI. Based on ATC communication between Pilot and Controller, We construct simulation environment and did a comparative analysis of it. according to result, We can verify that CDTI makes aircraft Call sign, Position, Altitude information read rate, and notice of air traffic information between Pilot and Controller more improve than ATC environment and Existing Radar System.

  • There are many problems and limits in equipments being used for traffic-volume analysis in the country. And traffic-volume information acquired through existing equipments is not provided in real-time. In the case of urban, there are limits on guarantee of trust on comprehending a appropriate road-volume because of difficulty on analyzing traffic-volume density and time series. And it is difficult to applicate in deciding a road policy as existing equipments don't provide the control information of traffic-flow. Therefore, it is necessary to build a road-flow policy rapidly and accurately through the road-flow information that analyze post-processed statistics data using traffic-flow investigation based on real time. In this study, we developed TICS(Traffic Information Collection System) based on GPS which could transmit traffic information transformed from car location information to traffic control center. And we developed TCS(Traffic Control System) based on Web GIS, which could manage and analyze transmitted traffic information, and it could offer handled road-flow information to Web-site in realtime.
