On-Line Feed-Forward Dead-Time Compensation Method (온라인 전향 데드타임 보상기법)

  • In this paper, a new on-line dead-time compensation method is proposed. The output voltage errors due to the dead-time effect is considered as disturbance voltages. The magnitude of the disturbance voltages is estimated using a time delay control technique and the disturbance voltages are calculated using the estimated values, measured currents, and position information. The calculated disturbance voltages are fed to voltage references in order to compensate the dead-time effect. The proposed method is applied to a PM synchronous motor drive system and implemented in a digital manner using a digital signal processor (DSP) TMS320C31. The experiments are carried out for this system to show the effectiveness of the proposed method and the results show the validity of the proposed method.

Unsteady Flow Model with Variable Roughness Coefficient (가변 조도계수 부정류 계산모형)

  • An unsteady flow model is developed that allows variable roughness coefficient for each computational point according to its spatial position and the discharge. A step function or a power function can be used for functional relation between the discharge and the Manning's roughness coefficient. The model is applied to the reach of the South Han River between the Chungju Dam and Paldang Dam, and model parameters are estimated by optimization. Estimated parameters of both the step function model and the Power function model show that Manning's roughness coefficient decreases as the discharge increases. This tendency is more noticeable for the upstream reach of Yeoju compared to the downstream reach. It turns out that the stages calculated by the variable roughness coefficient model agree better with the observed ones than those by the conventional fixed parameter model.

Performance Analysis of Scalar Adaptive Filter for Formation Flying (정렬비행을 위한 적응 스칼라 필터의 성능 분석)

  • In this paper, the performance of a scalar filter and a scalar adaptive filter are analyzed. In order to make indoor experimental environment similar to outdoor test, ultrasonic sensors are used instead of GPS. The scalar adaptive filter, which is continuously estimating velocity error covariance and measurement noise covariance by using adaptive method, is different from the scalar filter. Experimental results show that the scalar adaptive filter has better position estimating performance than the scalar filter by estimating above two parameters with an adaptive method.

  • This paper presents a new method of external load disturbance compensation using deadbeat load torque observer and gain compensation by parameter estimator. The response of the permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) follows the nominal plant. The load torque compensation method is composed of a deadbeat observer. To reduce the noise effect, the post-filter implemented by moving average(MA) process is adopted. The parameter compensator with recursive least square method(RLSM) parameter estimator is suggested to make the new system work as same as the name plate system which in used to take gains. The proposed estimator is combined with a high performance load torque observer to resolve the problems. As a result, the proposed control system has a robust and precise system against the load torque and the parameter variation. A stability and usefulness are verified by computer simulation and experiment.

  • We investigate compressive sensing techniques to estimate sparse channel in Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing(OFDM) systems. In the case of large channel delay spread, compressive sensing may not be applicable because it is affected by length of measurement vectors. In this paper, we increase length of measurement vector adding pilot information to OFDM data block. The increased measurement vector improves probability of finding path delay set and Mean Squared Error(MSE) performance. Simulation results show that signal recovery performance of a proposed scheme is better than conventional schemes.

  • 최근 대형 디스플레이 및 웨어러블 컴퓨터의 등장과 함께 키보드와 마우스를 사용하는 일반 데스크탑 환경에서 벗어난 컴퓨터와의 자연스러운 상호 작용 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 스크린 정면에 놓인 프로젝터가 스크린과 그 위에 놓인 사용자의 손 위에 화면을 투영할 때 PC 카메라로 입력된 프레임 속에서 손의 영역을 인식하여 컴퓨터와 상호작용하게 하고자 한다. 이 경우에 투영된 빛이 사용자의 손 위에도 합쳐짐으로 인하여 피부의 고유색이 사라진다. 또한, 투영되는 화면이 사용자와 컴퓨터의 상호 작용에 따라 추정할 수 없이 변함에 따른 적응적 인식 방법이 필요하다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 손을 인식하기에 앞서 스크린에 투영될 원본 이미지에 대해 칼라 보정을 수행하여 추정되는 카메라 입력 프레임을 생성한다. 이를 위해 우선 백색 영상을 투영하여 프레임 내의 자기 오차 맵을 생성한 후 R,G,B 채널 별로 원본 값에 대한 카메라 반응 값들을 룩업 테이블에 저장한다. 이를 통해 원본 이미지에 대해 칼라보정을 수행하고, 생성된 카메라 추정 프레임과 실제 카메라로 입력된 프레임 간 자기 성분을 비교하여 손 영역을 검출한다. 실험 결과, 주변의 조명 상태나 프로젝터 및 카메라의 위치에 관계없이 안정적인 인식 결과를 보였다.

Cost-effective Residual Frame Synchronization Error Removal Technique in TDD OFDM Systems (TDD OFDM 시스템에서의 효율적인 잔류 시간동기 오차 제거 기법)

  • A lot of conventional algorithms has tried to cancel the Residual Frame Synchronization Error (RFSE), which causes the performance degradation of channel estimation when using interpolation in lattice-type pilot-aided Time Division Duplex (TDD) OFDM systems. Among them, a pre- and post-compensation method has been attractive to eliminate the effects of RFSE, providing good performance but requiring high computational complexity. In this paper we propose a new method which lowers computational costs by adjusting the starting point of TDD OFDM systems' FFT window in order to compensate for the RFSE. For the performance verification, we apply the proposed method to IEEE 802.16e standard and also estimate additionally required computational power of it compared to the pre- and post-compensation method. Simulation and implementation results show that the proposed algorithm has performance similar to the conventional method and is very efficient with low power implementation, requiring only 4.9 % of the power which the conventional method needs additionally.

TLS (Total Least-Squares) within Gauss-Helmert Model: 3D Planar Fitting and Helmert Transformation of Geodetic Reference Frames (가우스-헬머트 모델 전최소제곱: 평면방정식과 측지좌표계 변환)

  • The conventional LESS (LEast-Squares Solution) is calculated under the assumption that there is no errors in independent variables. However, the coordinates of a point, either from traditional ground surveying such as slant distances, horizontal and/or vertical angles, or GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) positioning, cannot be determined independently (and the components are correlated each other). Therefore, the TLS (Total Least Squares) adjustment should be applied for all applications related to the coordinates. Many approaches were suggested in order to solve this problem, resulting in equivalent solutions except some restrictions. In this study, we calculated the normal vector of the 3D plane determined by the trace of the VLBI targets based on TLS within GHM (Gauss-Helmert Model). Another numerical test was conducted for the estimation of the Helmert transformation parameters. Since the errors in the horizontal components are very small compared to the radius of the circle, the final estimates are almost identical. However, the estimated variance components are significantly reduced as well as show a different characteristic depending on the target location. The Helmert transformation parameters are estimated more precisely compared to the conventional LESS case. Furthermore, the residuals can be predicted on both reference frames with much smaller magnitude (in absolute sense).

A Study on Correlation between Compressive Strength and Rebound Hardness of Urban Underground Structures (도시철도 지하구조물 압축강도와 반발경도의 상관관계에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the correlation between concrete core compressive strength and rebound hardness of urban railway underground structures was analyzed. The equations for the range of rebound hardness were derived and compared with the measured concrete core strengths for each range of rebound hardness to confirm the adequacy of the estimated compressive strength. As the result, the linear regression analysis results of the average compressive strength by the Gaussian probability density function (representative compressive strength estimation formula) and the estimation formula by the rebound hardness range were founded to match well within 3% of the experimental concrete core compressive strength test results. Therefore, the stochastic statistical analysis using the rebound hardness measurement results suggested in this study could be help to secure the confidence level of the correlation between the rebound hardness and the concrete compressive strength which are relatively large deviation according to the estimation equations.

  • 강우 데이터는 수문기상, 환경, 농업, 자연재해, 그리고 수자원 시스템 분야에서 가장 필수적인 기본 요소 중 하나이다. 또한 강우 데이터는 수문학적 분석에서 활용되는 필수 입력 자료 중 하나로 관측 데이터의 품질에 따라 수문 모형을 이용한 모의 결과물의 정확도가 결정된다고 할 수 있다. 따라서, 강우 관측소별로 강우 데이터의 품질을 어떻게 관리하느냐에 따라 수문 모형의 활용 범위 및 수자원 관리의 효율성이 결정될 수 있다. 강우의 시공간적 변동성은 수 많은 인자들과 직간접적으로 연계되어 있기 때문에 미계측 강우 자료에 대해 직접 관측이 아닌 수치 모형을 이용하여 강우의 발생과 강우량을 산정하는 것은 매우 복잡한 과제 중 하나이다. 현재 국내에서 운용되고 있는 강우 관측소의 경우에도 미계측 된 강우 데이터가 존재함으로써 강우 데이터의 활용에 제한이 생기는 경우가 있다. 따라서, 이러한 미계측 데이터의 추정 및 보완은 보다 효과적인 수재해 방지, 수자원 관리를 위한 필수 과제 중 하나이다. 일반적으로, 미계측 강우를 산정하기 위해서 Kriging, Thiessen, 등우선법, 그리고 역거리 관측법 등 다양한 수문학적 방법들이 적용되고 있다. 이러한 방법들은 산악효과나 강우 관측소의 분포 상태 등을 고려하지 못하기 때문에 측정하는 지역에 따라 강우 추정 오차가 커질 수 있다는 한계가 있다. 최근에는 데이터 관측 시스템과 빅데이터 기술의 발전과 활용 가능한 데이터의 양이 증가함에 따라 머신러닝을 활용한 사례가 증가하고 있다. 머신러닝은 데이터 사이의 관계를 기반으로 분류, 회귀, 그리고 예측 문제에 주로 사용되는 기법 중 하나이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 광주광역시 지역에 위치한 주요 강우 관측 지점들을 대상으로 미계측 된 시강우 데이터를 추정 및 복원하고자 한다. 여기서 데이터 추정 기술이란 미계측 강우의 발생 유무 및 강우량을 추정할 수 있는 기술을 의미한다. 이를 위해 대표적인 머신러닝 알고리즘인 인공신경망(Artificial Neural Network) 및 랜덤포레스트(Random Forest)를 적용하였다.
