  • 본 논문에서는 빔-호핑 위성 전송 시스템을 운용하기 위해 필수적으로 이루어져야 하는 빔 스위칭 타임 플랜 (Beam Switching Time Plan, BSTP) 동기 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 게이트웨이의 변조 모듈에서 SF (super-frame) 신호를 전송한 후, 레퍼런스 수신 모듈에서 신호 전송 후 프레임 검출이 일어나기까지 걸리는 시간과 유효한 신호 검출 후 프레임 검출이 일어나기까지 걸리는 시간을 이용하여 BSTP 동기를 이룬다.

Attribute-based Broadcast Encryption Algorithm applicable to Satellite Broadcasting (위성방송에 적용 가능한 속성기반 암호전송 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, we propose an attribute-based broadcast encryption algorithm that can be applied to satellite broadcasting network. The encryption algorithm is a cryptographic method by which a carrier(sender) can transmit contents efficiently and securely to a plurality of legitimate users through satellites. An attribute-based encryption algorithm encrypts contents according to property of contents or a user, In this paper, we combine effectively two algorithms to improve the safety and operability of satellite broadcasting network. That is, it can efficiently transmit ciphertexts to a large number of users, and has an advantage in that decoding can be controlled by combining various attributes. The proposed algorithm reduces the network load by greatly reducing the size of the public key, the private key and the cipher text in terms of efficiency, and the decryption operation amount is reduced by half to enable fast decryption, thereby enhancing the operability of the user.

  • Mugunghwa Satellite N0.1 is fired after operation was 13 years. The establishment of communication satellites, as well as Internet service backbone network the country, including satellite broadcasting services to provide multimedia services to general users and contribute to have a big role. High-speed Internet Access Network was expanded and satellite Internet subscribers Access Network rapidly decreasing, but it also a difficult situation, satellite communications network is still important as a component is located. Launched the first communication satellite to be launched and operated several commercial communications satellite, but satellite communications services and the pace of the system is in place. In this paper VSAT, satellite communications service to provide a service based on the status and problems of the status of operating system and will present alternative policies to solve.

  • In satellite communication system, propagation characteristics analysis of the receiving environment is very important, because radio quality is changed by the receiving environment. Unlike Terrestrial wireless communications, satellite communication is affected by altitude and atmospheric environment. Therefore, there are many factors to consider for propagation characteristics analysis. In this paper, signal reception environment of geostationary earth orbit was analyzed on urban environment. In order to analyze the propagation simulation, virtual buildings was established and reception environment was changed. The results of this paper would help to design the satellite mobile communication systems in Ka-band.

  • 디지털 방송기술의 발달로 인하여 방송은 전통적인 방송의 영역뿐만 아니라 통신/방송 융합으로 영역을 확대하고 있다. 기존의 방송이 비디오와 오디오에 국한된 반면 다가오는 통신/방송 융합에서는 데이터를 통한 방송의 양방향성의 중요성을 강조하고 있다. 케이블 방송은 다른 매체인 지상파와 위성을 통한 방송과 비교할 때 물리적으로 양방향성을 확보하고 있다는 장점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 고에서는 케이블 방송망을 통한 초고속 데이터 전송에 관한 규격인 DOCSIS의 기술 및 표준화 동향을 소개하고, DOCSIS 1.x와 DOCSIS 2.0의 상호운용성에 대하여 설명한다.

Rainfall Rate Forecasting for Satellite Link Analysis (위성링크분석을 위한 강우강도예측)

  • In the satellite system design, the design processes from the initial design to launch take about 5 years and the broadcasting satellite lifetime goes over 15 years. Furthermore, global warming phenomenon causes rainfall rate to increase more and more in some regions on the earth. Consequently, at the stage of the satellite link design, we need to consider the future rain attenuation over 20 years. In this paper, we investigated a time-series system model for forecasting to consider the future rainfall rate for the satellite broadcasting service. We found that rainfall rate of the future 20 years is increasing continuously.

  • The demand for digital multimedia service using Ka band satellite communication are growing rapidly. So, in this paper, we have analyzed rain attenuation with typical model, and proposed prediction model of rain attenuation in high frequency(20 GHz). This paper illustrates Korea rain attenuation characteristics at the Ka band Koreasat beacon frequency based on the theoretical and empirical approaches and seek for efficient techniques by rain attenuation estimate and analyzed performance of adaptive modulation system. Propose prediction model of rain attenuation and parameter of satellite link can be available for the Ka band satellite communication.
