오일 쿨러의 열전달 성능에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Heat Transfer Performance of Oil Cooler)

  • The experimental study was carried out to evaluate the heat transfer performance on the shell side of shell-and-plate finned tube heat exchanger with three different tube numbers(9, 13 and 19). Oil flowing on the shell side was cooled by cold water flowing inside the tubes. A shell-and-tube heat exchanger of an oil cooler consisted of one shell pass and two tube passes with the inner tube diameter of 8.82 mm and the tube length of 575 mm. Mass flow rate was varied from 1.2 to $6.0\;m^3/h$ for oil and from 0.6 to $3.0\;m^3/h$ for cold water, respectively. From the experiment of shell-and-plate finned tube heat exchanger, the shell side heat transfer coefficient of heat exchanger with 9 tubes was compared with that of 13 and 19 tubes. It was found that the heat exchanger with 9 plate finned tubes showed more performance of heat transfer than that of 13 and 19 tubes.

신뢰 전파와 디스패리티 맵을 사용한 다관절체 사람 추적 (Articulated Human Body Tracking Using Belief Propagation with Disparity Map)

  • 본 논문에서는 마르코프 네트워크로 모델링된 다관절체(Articulated body) 사람을 양안 영상(stereo image)을 통해 획득 되어진 디스패리티 맵(disparity map)을 이용해 효과적으로 추적하는 방법을 제안한다. 기존의 색상 정보만을 사용하여 에너지함수의 우도(likelihood)를 계산하는 방법은 조명 및 그림자의 영향과 배경 색상의 임의성 때문에 강건하지 못 하다. 본 논문에서는 색상 정보에 더불어 디스패리티 정보를 활용하여 우도를 계산하는 방법을 제안한다. 원통형 모양의 사람의 신체 요소(body part)는 2차원 영상으로 사영될 때 직사각형으로 사영되므로 이 직사각형의 디스패리티의 분포가 불연속 하지 않다는 특성을 이용한다. 또한 본 논문에서는 디스패리티 맵을 사용한 조건적 메시지 생성 방법을 제안해 신뢰 전파에서 불필요한 메시지 업데이트 수행을 줄이는 방법을 보여준다. 메시지 업데이트는 신뢰 전파 알고리즘의 전체 수행 시간에 80% 이상을 차지하므로, 조건적 메시지 생성 방법은 기존 대비 9~45%의 속도 향상을 보였다. 또한 사람의 연속적인 움직임 특성을 이용한 다이나믹 모델을 제안해 추적 속도를 향상하였다. 자세한 내용은 4장에 설명되어 있다. 실험 결과 제안하는 디스패리티 정보를 활용한 신뢰 전파를 사용해 다관절체를 추적하는 방법은 기존 대비 강건한 추적 결과와 함께 빠른 속도로 추적할 수 있었다.

유냉각기의 열전달 촉진에 관한 연구 (A Study on Heat Transfer Enhancement of Oil Cooler)

  • A shell-and-tube oil cooler with plate fins was suggested to improve the defect of the conventional shell-and-tube oil cooler. Experiments were conducted to evaluate the heat transfer performance on the shell side of shell-and-plate finned tube oil cooler with three different tube numbers(9, 13 and 19). Oil flowing on the shell side was cooled by cold water flowing inside the tubes. A shell-and-tube heat exchanger of an oil cooler consisted of one shell pass and two tube passes with the inner tube diameter of 8.82 mm and the tube length of 575 mm. From the experiment of shell-and-tube oil cooler, it was found that the heat transfer coefficient of oil cooler with 9 tubes, as oil flow rate was increased, was approximately 140% and 250% higher than that of 13 and 19 tubes, respectively. The heat transfer coefficient at the water flow rate of $3m^3/h$, also was 120% and 140% higher than that of 2.4 and $1.8m^3/h$, respectively.

공작기계 절삭유 냉각용 오일쿨러 설계 자동화 (Oil Cooler Design Automation on the Cooling of Machine Tool Cutting Oil)

  • The automatic design of shell & tube type oil cooler can be used in real industrial environments. Since the automatic design system is intended to be used in small companies, it is designed to be operated well under environments of CAD package in the personal computer. It has adopted GUI in design system, and has employed DCl language. Design parameters to be considered in the design stage of shell and tube type oil cooler are type of oil cooler, outer diameter, thickness, length of tube, tube arrangement, tube pitch, flow rate, inlet and outlet temperature, physical properties, premissive pressure loss on both sides, type of baffle plate, baffle plate cutting ratio, clearance between baffle plate outer diameter and shell inner diameter and clearance between baffle plate holes. As a result, the automatic design system of shell & tube type oil cooler is constructed by the environment of CAD software using LISP. We have built database of design data for various kinds of shell & tube type oil coolers. The automatic design system have been assessed and compared with existing specification of design. Good agreement with Handbook of heat exchanger and design dta of real industrial environments has been found.

다관원통형 열교환기의 파울링 해석기법 개발 연구 (A Study on the Development of Fouling Analysis Technique for Shell-and-Tube Heat Exchangers)

  • Fouling of heat exchangers is generated by water-borne deposits, commonly known as foulants including particulate matter from the air, migrated corrosion produces; silt, clays, and sand suspended in water; organic contaminants; and boron based deposits in plants. The fouling is known to interfere with normal flow characteristics and reduce thermal efficiencies of heat exchangers. This paper describes the fouling analysis technique developed in this study which can analyze the thermal performance for heat exchangers and estimate the future fouling variations. To develop the fouling analysis technique fur heat exchangers, fouling factor was introduced based on the ASME O&M codes and TEMA standards. For the purpose or verifying the fouling analysis technique, the routing analyses were performed for four heat exchangers in several nuclear power plants; two residual heat removal heat exchangers of the residual heat removal system and two component cooling water heat exchangers of the component cooling water system.

바이오가스용 소형 열교환기 연구 (Compact Heat Exchanger Design for Biogas Application)

  • Our lab designs a heat exchangers for air and carbondioxide gas. Coolant is water, thus it is very difficult to determine heat transfer parameters in this gas-liquid system. Repeated experiments gives overdesign value 35%, overall heat transfer coefficient $33.8(kcal/m2-hr-^{\circ}C)$ for carbondioxide. Another series of experiments determine overdesign 18.7%, overall heat transfer coefficient $21.4(kcal/m2-hr-^{\circ}C)$ for Air. These parameters are in same range of literature. Overdesign is increasing as tube length increases, also increases as wall thickness of heat exchanger increases. To get proper fluid linear velocity in heat exchanger, we change the diameter of tube and finally we can have optimum fluid linear velocity in the heat exchanger.

  • As operating time of heat exchangers progresses, fouling generated by water-borne deposits increases and thermal performance decreases. The fouling is known to interfere with normal flow characteristics and reduce thermal efficiencies of heat exchangers. The heat exchangers of nuclear power plants have been analyzed in terms of the heat flux and heat transfer coefficient at test conditions based on the ASME OM-S/G-Part 2 as a means of heat exchanger management. It is hard to estimate the heat performance trend and to establish the future management plan. This paper describes the fouling evaluation method which can evaluate the thermal performance for heat exchangers and estimate the future fouling variations and the plugging margin evaluation method which can reflect the current fouling level developed in this study. To develop the fouling and plugging margin evaluation methods for heat exchangers, fouling factor was introduced based on the ASME O&M codes and TEMA standards. For the purpose of verifying the two evaluation methods, the fouling and plugging margin evaluations were performed for a component cooling heat exchanger in a nuclear power plant.

수직형 순환유동층 열교환기에서의 유체유동과 온도장의 수치해석 (Numerical analysis of fluid flow and thermal fields in the vertical fluidized bed heat exchanger)

  • The numerical analysis by using CFX 11.0 commercial code was done for prediction of fluid flow and thermal field in the vertical heat exchanger. The present experimental studies were also conducted to investigate the effects of circulating solid particles on the fluid flow and temperatures in the fluidized bed vertical shell and tube type heat exchanger with counterflow, at which the solid particles of glasses (3 $mm{\Phi}$) were used in the fluidized bed with a smooth tube. The effect of circulation on the distance(L) of tube inlet and baffle plate was also examined. The present experimental and numerical results showed that the particles in the distance (Ds) of 15 mm showed a more efficient circulation without stacked the space and the LMTD(Log Mean Temperature Difference) in the fluidized bed type was much lower than that in the typical type shell and tube heat exchanger.

  • In the case that erosion and corrosion occurs in machinery and structure at the same time, the synergy effect by erosion-corrosion affects fatal effect to durability of machinery and structure. Therefore, in machinery and structure which use corrosion liquid, the study of the synergy effect of erosion-corrosion which affects metal material is requested. In this paper. the flow corrosion experiment about the effect of temperature change and liquid velocity change in sea water was carried out to study the characteristics of erosion-corrosion for tube material Cu heat exchanger The main results obtained are as follows. (1) Damage appearance of tube outside by erosion-corrosion becomes dull because electrode potentials of Cu tube is higher than electrode potential of STPG38 shell. (2) In the cooling system by sea water, the weight loss rate of Cu at tube outside liquid temperature of $70^{\circ}C$ is higher than that of temperature of $20^{\circ}C$. (3) In cooling system by sea water, the weight loss rate of Cu at liquid velocity of 5.1m/s is higher than that of velocity of 1.47m/s. But as the testing time passed, the weight loss rate of Cu at velocity of 5.1m/s is almost steady and becomes dull at velocity of 1.47m/s.

분산형 소형 연료전지용 1KW급 열교환기 설계 (Heat Exchanger Design For The Individually Allocated Fuel Cell For 1kw Power generation)

  • Our lab designs a heat exchangers for hydrogen gas. Coolant is water, thus it is very difficult to determine heat transfer parameters in this gas-liquid system. Repeated experiments gives overdesign value 6.06%, overall heat transfer coefficient 36.32 ($kcal/m^2-hr-^{\circ}C$) for Hydrogen. Theoretically determined overall heat transfer coefficient is 38.44 ($kcal/m^2-hr-^{\circ}C$). Our lab simulated this system and overdesign 30.4% shows good match with this experiment by HTRI. These parameters are in same range with literature.
