웹을 기반으로 하는 개방적이고 유연한(Open and Flexible) 많은 교수 및 학습 시스템(Teaching and Learning Systems)이 개발되어 사용되어지면서 교육현장에서 교육의 패러다임이 급변하고 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 누구나 언제 어디서나 (Anyone, Anytime and Anywhere) 교수 및 학습이 가능한 웹기반 원격장의 시스템에서 원적교육의 방식과 특성을 모색해보고 쌍방향 멀티미디어 원격교육을 가능하게 하는 GVA를 이용하여 코스웨어를 구현함으로써 원격교육시스템의 실질적인 대안을 제시한다.

The quality of education cannot be defined easily. Similarly, the quality problem of remote-education is defined, and suggests various success factors, from each different angle, according to definer's view and interest. As the Internet is being expanded gradually, the remote-education systems are being focused on as an important strategic factor. Also, many studies are being conducted concerning the remote-education system in this county. However, most studies focus on the technological side, and the actual condition is that the quality and the quantity of the studies on success factors for successful remote-education system are insufficient yet. This study tried to examine major success factors in order to realize more efficient web-based remote education system, and to maximize users'acquirement obtained from the remote education system.

The web-based distance education has some problems in managing students despite the merit of getting over the problem of time and space compared with the classroom education or residential course. These problems make the web-based distance learners difficult in achieving the purpose and the standard of goal. And they drive the manager in charge of the web-based distance education into worries. The manager of the distance education should keep on monitoring students' participation and response, and then give the appropriate feedback to the students. But, the existing distance education system neglects to support efficient management function, for it puts emphasis on the activity of teaching and learning. Therefore, the purposes of this study are to extract the factors that are necessary to manage the distance education for training teachers, to realize the effective management system which can offer a proper feedback in the distance education for training teachers through the application of those factors to the training program, to make it possible to change the management system flexibly according to the curriculum and the computing setting.

Even though the distance education via Web has a great advantage to overcome time and space, its problem that the management of trainees is not efficient compared with classroom and group education. This problem is a great obstacle to the objects and achievement standards of distance education, giving controversial arguments to the advocators of distance education. Distance educators need to monitor the trainees 'participation and responses continuously and offer appropriate feedback to the trainees. However, the existing distance education system only focuses on teaching and teaming activities, and as a result, the efficient management function of distance education is not available. Accordingly, the study attempts to find out the appropriate managing elements of distance teacher training in order to effectively achieve the goals of teacher training and the efficient management of distance education. Also, it proposes distance teacher training system that offers appropriate feedback to trainees, applying the derived elements of distance teacher training to the training processes. To verify the efficiency of the system, hypotheses on related items of distance teacher education and learning types are suggested, and the achievement of learning and its relations are investigated through questionnaire of learning types.

시간과 공간제약이 없는 다양한 사이버 원격 교육이 제공되고 있으나, 이러한 사이버 원격 교육은 이론을 중심으로 한 강의식 교육이 일반적이며, 실습이 요구되는 경우에는 수강생이 별도의 환경에서 실습을 수행하여야 한다. 특히 소프트웨어 사용법 교육의 경우에는 사용자의 행위에 대해서 강사의 확인과 지도가 요구되므로, 현재의 사이버 원격 교육 시스템으로는 교육적 효율성이 낮다. 본 논문에서는 실습이 요구되는 소프트웨어의 원격 교육의 효율성을 골이기 위한 방안으로, 소프트웨어의 조작 과정을 보여주는 동영상을 제공하고 실습 행위의 정확성을 판정하여 주는 원격 소프트웨어 교육 및 실습 시스템을 제안하고 이의 구현에 대하여 설명한다.

Whereas research on telelearning in educational technology area is lively done, that in mathematics education area is not. Related to the open education, telelearning has 4 models: the distance classroom model, the front-end system design, the knowledge construction model, and the teaching model based on data. S/W, C/W, and H/W are the components of telelearning system. For an effective mathematics telelearning system, H/W and S/W which use multimedia with complex multimode information such as text, graphics, animation, video, and audio are necessary. Examples of telelearning systems on going are MIPOS, SDS telelearning system, telelearning system of the Naechon Elementary School, and Doorae Multimedia Application Development Platform.

컴퓨터를 이용한 교육 시스템은 1950년대말 일리노리 대학의 Donald Bitzer 박사에 의해 구상되어 왔고 1961년 PLATO 시스템이 개발된 이래 지난 30여년 동안 다각적인 연구가 이루어져왔고, 특히, 인터넷과 정보통신기술의 발달은 WWW 기반의 원격교육시스템의 개발과 발전을 진일보 시켰으며, 이들 시스템들은 기존의 교육 패러다임을 변모시키는 새로운 형태의 교육체계 구현을 통해 교육현장에 커다란 기여를 하고 있다. 본 논문은 WW W기반 기술 중 능동적 정보전달방식인 Push 기술을 기존 원격교육 시스템에 접목하여 학습자가 인터넷의 학습 DB에 접속하지 않고도 학습 내용을 제공받을수 있고, 새로운 학습정보를 실시간적으로 파악할 수 있는 Push 기반 원격교육시스템을 제안한다. 또한 , 학습지의 다양한 수준에 맞는 문제의 처리와 문항 분석이 가능한 수준별 문항평가 알고리즘을 통해 학습자의 학습수준에 적합한 문항 평가 이루어지도록 설계하였다.

So far, there were a few web-based distance English learning systems for children. The existing systems for children have not appropriately reflected their learning characteristics and interests, since most of those systems regards mainly adults as targets. This thesis is aimed at proposing more effective educational service modules of web-based real-time system in order to encourage children's interests as much as possible in learning English. The web-based real-time distance learning system is a model based on the survey over the current use and satisfaction status of elementary school students who have actually used those kinds of systems. With the great expectation of more effective way of learning English, it also focuses on attracting parents to participate the learning process by providing a service to look over, in real-time, what their children do through the internet-based English learning system.

현재 원격 교육 시스템은 21세기를 맞이하여 고속 인터넷 통신망의 발전과 함께 사회전반에서 크게 이슈로 떠오르고 있다. 하지만, 현재는 특정업체나 단체에서 교육을 독점적으로 서비스하기 위해 웹 기반으로 서비스가 이루어질 뿐 일선 학교에서나 한국 산업인력관리공단과 같은 시험인증기관에서 특정 LAN (Local Area Network) 상에서 자체적으로 특정 교과 독립적으로 교육을 행할 수 있는 시스템이 없는 현실이다. 기존에 서비스되고있는 시스템은 순수 웹을 이용하거나 웹과 플러그인(Plug-in)을 함께 사용하여 컴퓨터에 지식이 없는 일선 학교의 교사나 학생들에게 순수한 양방향의 교육 서비스를 하기엔 역부족이고 한계가 있어 네트워크 기반 원격 교육 시스템을 제안하게 되었다. 본 연구에서 개발된 시스템의 주요 특징으로는 순수 인트라넷만을 이용하여 실시간 원격 교육서비스를 제공, 교육 공급자와 수요자에게 사용상에 특별한 지식을 요구하지 않는 사용자 인터페이스를 제공, 교육 정보갱신이 쉽고 빠르게 이루어지며, 특정교과 독립적으로 서비스가 가능하며, 서비스상에 특별한 인력을 필요로 하지 않으며, 수요자는 원하는 시간에 자신의 능력별로 서비스를 받을 수 있다. 그리고 가정 통신문, 성적 처리, 학생 신상 관리 등의 학생관리 기능이 있다. 필요하다면 사용자의 이용요금부고도 가능하다.

화상회의시스템이란 영상 및 멀티미디어를 활용하여 원격 회의를 가능하게 하는 정보전달 매체로 가격이 저렴해지면서 학교 현장에 보급되기 시작하였다. 이 시스템의 활용 범위가 확장되어 교육청과 학교간의 회의뿐만 아니라 실시간 원격연수에도 활용이 가능하게 되었다. 그러나 현장의 교사들은 화상회의 시스템에 대한 지식과 응용 프로그램의 사용 경험 부족으로 적극적인 활용에 어려움을 겪고 있다. 본 연구에서는 현재 학교에 널리 보급되어 있는 MCU방식과 최근 새롭게 개발된 IP 멀티캐스팅 방식의 원격교육 시스템에 대한 장단점을 비교하고 분석하여 교육 현장에 적합한 화상회의시스템에 대한 평가를 할 것이다. 그리고, 실시간 원격교육 프로그램을 위한 화면의 설계 결과와 화상회의 시스템과의 인터페이스 방법에 대한 설계 결과를 제시할 것이다.
