  • The telecommand system of KITSAT micorsatellite receives commands from ground stations or on-board computers. It decodes, validates and delivers commands to sub-system. The telemetry system is to collect, process and format satellite housekeeping and mission data for use by on-board computer and ground station. It is crucial for the telemetry and telecommand system to have high reliability since the spacecraft operation is mostly based on the function of this system. The telemetry and telecommand(TTC) systems for KITSAT-1 and 2 had been developed under the consideratin of the space environment of Low-Earth-Orbit and the limited mass, volume and power of micorsatellite. Since both satellites were launched in August 1992 and September 1993 respectively, the have shown to be working successfully as well as the TTC systems on-board both satellites.

  • In this paper, we present the AMI System mentioned as one of the main application areas in the M2M. To enable the AMI, it is essentially required to install, deploy and manage all the devices. Especially, Device Management technology is considered to be suitable for these AMI due to its advantages like, easy installation, remote FW/SW upgradeability. We investigate the fundamental operation of the DM and the design of the DM in the AMI is presented.

  • Major utilities have been focusing on R&D and business of AMI system which plays a vital role in SmartGrid whose concept is to optimize energy efficiency with exchanging real time information between utilities and consumers based on IT technologies in power grid. In this paper, we introduce KEPCO's AMI business plan, the AMI System architecture, designed core devices, communication networks and value added services, and also explore technical and business characteristics of KEPCO's AMI system.

  • In recent, there has been progressed in various ways of research and development about a ubiquitous telemetry reading, but several problems are arising the reliability of reading value, power supply and so on. These issues were solved by using the RF module and digital pulse meter with photocoupler. Realized by this study, a telemetry reading system, utilizing RF and CDMA telecommunication, and check in real time the state of water leakage by managing the distinct usage data. In addition, the users can check it in person, and it can minimize the public enmities. Further, as a part of the silver industry fur constantly growing senior population, it might be introduced as safety supervision system.

  • Power is compared to the overall share of energy continues to increase, so as a way for efficient demand management and value added according to the AMR system was introduced. But there is a risk in a variety of external attack, such as when you use the remote meter reading system, cyber attacks and hacking. It is considered that the measures sought, which can be used to prevent or pre safer urgent. In this paper, I want to point out the current research trends and issues of security authentication technology of remote meter reading system.

  • 가정용 수도미터의 검침방법은 대부분 검침원에 의한 개별방문을 통하여 이루어지고 있어, 검침에 따른 민원발생과 검침데이타의 정확성 문제 등으로 인하여 효율적 수도검침이 이루어지지 못하고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 국내.외 수도미터 특성분석과 수도미터 원격검침시스템 적용 현황 및 장단점을 비교하여, 오차 특성이 개선된 디지털 수도미터와 최적의 전송 알고리즘을 갖는 통신모듈을 개발하여 유비쿼터스 기반의 수도미터 AMR 시스템을 구현하고자 한다.

  • In this paper, we present measurement method of the amount of used piped water and the communications environment for automatic piped water meter reading. The existing piped water meter reading which is carried out by the human in person by monitoring the amount of use and recording make the problem of an error of the figure and being short of staffed to carry out piped water meter reading. To solve the existing problem in this paper, the amount of used piped water is converted into data type by Photo Interrupt Sensor, and IEEE 802.15.4 Protocol is used to confirm the measurement in remote place.

  • 최근 국외의 전력회사들은 미래 디지털 사회의 기반이 되는 신전력시스템을 구현하는데 필요한 핵심기술중의 하나로서 IT(Information Technology)기반 전력부가서비스 기술의 중요성에 대해 강조하고 있으며, 이를 위해 원격검침 데이터를 기반으로 하는 다양한 전력부가서비스를 개발하여 적용하고 있다. 한편 국내의 경우 원격검침 데이터는 전력요금 산출용도로 활용되고 있는 수준이다. 전력회사는 원격검침 데이터가 고객과의 관계에서 부가가치를 높일 수 있는 무한한 잠재력을 지닌 전략적인 자산으로 보고, 원격검침 데이터 가공 및 활용기술의 선진화를 통하여 전력회사와 전력소비자 모두에게 필요한 전력부가서비스의 적용이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 국내 전력산업 환경에 적합한 새로운 전력부가서비스 적용방안으로 제안한 전력 에너지 컨설팅 서비스에 대해 소개하고자 한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 전력부가서비스의 적용은 전력소비자 측면에서는 요금절감 효과가 전력회사 측면에서는 부하 수요관리 및 투자비 절감 효과가 예상된다.

  • 스마트 그리드환경에서 전기를 소비자에게 공급하는 스마트 Place영역에서 통신망은 국내에서 기술적인 여건상 전력선 통신기반의 인프라가 가장 빠르게 원격검침서비스에 활용되고 있다. 원격검침 시스템[1]은 댁내의 계량기와 전주상의 데이터 집속구간은 전력선 통신방식으로 구성되고 상위 서버와는 인터넷망으로 구성되어 있으며 통신 토폴로지 구성측면에서 전력선통신 모뎀, 데이터집속장치 그리고 중앙의 서버로 3Tier구성 체계를 가지고 있으므로 여기에 적합한 보안 아키텍처의 구성이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 전력선 통신망 기반의 원격검침 시스템에 적합한 보안기술을 설계하고 구현 하였다.

  • Recently, there have been many attempts to monitor the equipment's condition or the input devices in sensors remotely by using cable and wireless communications. Also, the research and development on this matter has been actively carried on. In this paper, we developed the monitoring system which will eliminate the errors of manual reading by humans and therefore will secure reliability between tenants and the building management office. Through the system, the private telecommunication network can be connected between the building management office and the households. This enables the control office to remotely read the electric meter and exact energy consumption of each household even when the tenants are absent.
