Analysis of influential factors in whole life insurance model (종신보험에서의 영향 변수의 영향력 분석에 관한 연구)

  • In life insurance, the net premium is derived based on the expected life time distribution and expected interest rate. The losses or risks of the insurer are significantly affected by the obtained net premium. Thus, in life insurance, these two factors, the life time distribution and expected interest rate, are considered as important influential factors. In this paper, we investigate the effect of these influential factors on the net premiums, management risks, and the probability of losses. Furthermore, relative influence of these factors is also studied.

  • 처남, 처제, 조카, 사위들까지 모두 양계장을 운영하는 양계가족 요셉농장. 최근에는 7개월간의 공사로 새 단장을 해 말끔한 모습으로 다시 태어났다. 총 약 $5,911m^2$(약 1,788평), 5만수 규로로 현재 95%의 산란율을 기록하고 있다. 지난 20여 년간의 세월 속에 여러 역경을 딛고 다시 일어나 도전하는 오뚝이 정신으로 농장을 꾸려나가는 요셉농장 도은구 사장을 찾아가 농장운영방식과 산란계 산업에 대한 생각을 들어보았다.

An Operating Strategy of Outer Networking of University According to Traffic Efficiency Analysis (트래픽 효율성 분석에 의한 대학 외부망의 운영 전략)

  • Each university in Korea has connected its campus network to outer network with a variety methods since every year KREN adopted an open bid in selecting a network service company. In particular many universities connected two or more outer networks have faced more complex decision problems about their network operations due to the intricacy of the networks. So, those university needs the system which helps the managers to select the optimum operating method for their campus networks. In this paper, campus network traffic efficiency based on utilization was analyzed using the manager's answers to the questions for traffic management. And, by the result of analysis, the link strategy to outer networks was suggested for the universities running simultaneously two outer networks.

A Comparative Study of Reservoir Operations for Flood Control of the Chungju Dam (홍수시 충주댐 운영방안의 비교검토)

  • To develop a simulation strategy of multi-reservoir operation in flood season, the single dam operations methed for the Chungju dam are investigated in the Han river basin. Thus, spillway rule curve, rigid ROM, and linear decision rules are applied for control operations, subject to the restrictions imposed by the river and the reservoir characteristics. The storage and release and control/utility efficiencies for several floods are calculated. The variation of control coefficients with respect to the return period are also examined. As the results of this comparative study, the optimal operation method can be selected in terms of the magnitude of flood. With inflow forecasting, the flood control operation can be greatly improved by variable coefficients rigid ROM and linear decision rules.

학점은행제 실시에 따른 문제점과 발전 방안

  • 학점은행제는 '98년 봄학기부터 최초로 실시되면서 몇가지 문제점들을 보이고 있다. 즉, 실시기관 선정에 따른 문제, 저조한 지원율, 학점은행제 운영기관의 재정적 부담, 교과목 연결 체계의 미흡, 기관마다 다른 수강료 등이 그것이다. 또한 시행기관수의 부족, 개설 교과목 부족, 졸업까지 너무 긴 시간이 소요된다는 점도 예상되는 문제점이다. 이들을 개선하기 위해서는 주말 강의나 계절학기제 도입, 실시기관의 컨소시엄 형태 운영, 유연한 운영체제 확립 등이 요구된다.

A Study on the Verification of Heavy Overhaul Maintenance Allowances for the Maintenance Shop (시뮬레이션과 BPR을 응용한 Layout 기반의 철도차량기지 중정비 검수 여유율 검증)

  • When designing the size of a heavy maintenance shop for rolling stock, it is required to arrange buildings and facilities in the minimum site so as to improve the maintenance efficiency. However, the fluctuation rate (hereinafter "allowance rate") on which factors such as service and maintenance fluctuation should be applied when estimating the size of the maintenance shop has been used without verification. The objective of the study is to calculate a reasonable allowance rate and to review its appropriateness through the analysis of the facilities layout and process simulation to absorb the above elements into the staying time in the heavy maintenance shop. Since the working time, in this study, is assumed to be average working time, 10~20% was given to the standard deviation of working time in consideration of difference between workers, and possible allowance rate was drawn by analysis of the simulation results. In the future, it is required to optimize the size of the shop by applying appropriate allowance rate through scientific review of such factors as O&M plan, R/S reserve rate, capability of the shop, outsourcing rate, standard work amount, and so on.

  • 본 연구의 시험유역은 기존에 제시되고 있는 회귀율 분석에서 각 지역별 및 업종별 다양한 회귀율을 나타내고 있어 어느 일정한 값을 결정하기 어렵고, 또한 최근 들면서 하수관거정비사업 등을 통하여 하수 차집비율이 과거에 비해 매우 높아짐에 따라 기존에 제시된 회귀율과 하수관거사업에 의해 변화되는 회귀율을 비교 분석하기위해 시험유역을 운영하였다. 물 사용량에 대한 회귀율의 정확성을 위하여 한강수계의 하남시를 대상으로 총 4개 지점에 대한 시험유역을 구성하여 생활용수의 회귀율 및 최근 환경부에서 중점적으로 추진하고 있는 하수관거 정비 사업에 따른 회귀율 변화에 대하여 계절별 회귀율을 제시하고 분석을 하였다.

A Methodology for Estimating Diversion Flows on Expressways (고속도로 우회교통량 추정방법론에 관한 연구)

  • VMS based dispersion of traffic flows enables to decrease delay and congestion. Such being the case, there has been growing interests in VMS operation strategy. The strategy is based on driver's behavior or diversion rate. However, it was not easy to obtain each in practice. The diversion rate, thus far, was investigated by stated preference analysis or simulators. As an alternative, in this paper, a new method to obtain diversion flow rate was suggested using the toll collection system and freeway traffic management system data. A large gap of diversion rate between stated preference analysis and field survey was observed. Out of surveyed 8 tollgate data, the diversion rate was about 7% and was quite lower compared with that of 21%${\sim}$87% from stated preference analysis or simulators. With this at hand, a more careful information provision strategy should be devised and employed to correctly account this kind of differences.
