Effect of Crating Density and Weather in Transit on Behavior, Surface Temperature, and Respiration Rate in Broilers Considering Animal Welfare (동물복지를 고려한 육계 운송 시 운송 밀도와 계절에 따른 행동, 체표면 온도, 호흡수 평가)

  • This study aimed to investigate the effects of seasonal differences and crating densities on the behavior, surface temperature, and respiration rate of broilers during transportation. A total of 600 broilers aged 35 days were divided into 10 treatment groups based on five crating densities (10.3, 11.5, 12.8, 14.1, 15.4 birds/m2) with two seasons (i.e. summer and winter) to give six replicates. Broilers were allocated to the crates (1.00 m × 0.78 m × 0.26 m) in a randomized design. The transportation distance was 20 km for 40 minutes (average 30-50 km/h) during the early morning. The results revealed that standing behavior of broilers during transportation was shown more frequently (P<0.05) in winter. Moreover, sitting behavior was significantly shown (P<0.05) more at densities of 14.1 birds/m2 and 15.4 birds/m2 compared to other treatments. Standing behavior was significantly shown more (P<0.05) in winter and lower crating density. Changes in broilers surface temperature after transportation were higher (P<0.05) in summer. However, surface temperature after transportation was not affected (P>0.05) by crating density, and interaction between seasonal differences and crating density. Respiration rate was higher (P<0.05) in summer. But there were no effects (P>0.05) on respiration rate based on crating density, and interaction between seasonal differences and crating density. Based on the results of the present study, broilers transportation is recommended in winter rather than summer to minimize the climatic stress, but further research is required to identify proper crating densities to improve the broilers welfare during transportation.

  • Mechanical Relay (McR) is a relaying architecture to enable data communications, where it can endure the transportation delay and intermittent disconnection. Every kind of vehicular infrastructures can be readily utilized for the mechanical relaying in the manner of moving natures, which brings the most significant consequences compared to conventional relaying schemes. In this paper, we analyze the ergodic network throughput of McR in wireless line networks (WLN) to compare the results between employing McRs and direct multi-hopping through the users without McRs. We demonstrate the McR scheme that are not only Ve-SISO but also Ve-SIMO/MISO. The numerical results of ergodic network throughputs contribute to the trade-off relation depending on the speed v of McRs, intensity factors ${\lambda}_u$ and ${\lambda}_r$, and the methods of how McRs are utilized.

An Analysis of the Cost Structure of Air Transport Industry(Deriving Economies of Density, Scale and Scope) (항공운송산업의 비용구조 분석(밀도, 규모 및 범위의 경제성 도출을 중심으로))

  • This paper annually estimates the economies of density, scale and scope with the data of cost and output of 27 leading air carriers to suggest the political findings and strategies of raising the cost efficiency of our air transport industry. The estimation results and their implications are as follows. First, KAL and Aha would reduce their cost if they could increase international route density. Second, KAL and AAR would reduce their cost if they could expand the network but save their cost more effectively if they could increase international route density rather than expand the network. Third, the minimum efficient scale that minimize average cost of two national flag carriers which operate by the present output ratio among domestic passenger, international passenger and freight appears to be larger than each present output level of KAL and AAR. Meanwhile, it appears that minimum efficient scale of small size low cost carriers which operate domestic-oriented route is much smaller than minimum efficient scale of national flag carriers. Finally, it appears that there exists the diseconomies of scope between domestic passenger and the other outputs, that is, international passenger and freight and therefore save their cost if freight output ratio is higher and domestic passenger output ratio is lower than the Present level.

  • 운송 중에 발생되는 진동, 충격이 전기기기에 미치는 영향을 검증하기 위해 측정자료를 바탕으로 실험실에서 보리 실험한 수 있는 실험기준을 설정할 필요가 있다. 이를 위해 측정절차를 수립하고 발생요인에 따른 실측자료를 확보하기 위해 진동과 충격을 측정하는 시스템을 개발하였다. 측정결과 운송 도로면의 요철조건, 운송차종(중량), 운송속도에 따라 측정값에 차이가 있었다. 세부적으로 콘크리트 도로, 고속 주행일 때, 파워스펙트럼밀도(PSD) 값이 큰 것으로 분석되었고, 충격가속도는 소형 트럭이 가장 큰 값으로 분석되었다. 또한 측정자료를 바탕으로 랜덤진동시험기준을 제시하였다.

  • 현대 사회에서 해상 운송은 전체 화물 운송의 약 80%를 차지하는 국제 무역 및 경제 활동의 핵심적인 요소이다. 이에 따라 선박 교통 관제는 해상 안전과 운송 효율성을 향상시키는 데 있어 아주 중요한 역할을 수행하고 있다. 보다 안전한 해상 운송을 지속하기 위해서는 효율적이고 스마트한 선박 교통 관제 시스템이 필수적이므로 본 연구에서는 선박 교통 관제 시스템인 VTS 운용 콘솔 상 해상교통위험도를 시각화하는 것을 제안한다. 우선, 현 관제사를 대상으로 시선 추적 실험을 실시함으로써 관제사의 시선 분포를 통해 주요 관찰 대상과 작업 우선순위 등을 살펴보았다. 이후 동일한 해역에 동일한 시간대의 교통 밀도와 해상 교통 위험도를 정량적으로 평가하고, 이를 관제사의 시선 추적 데이터와 비교 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 객관적인 데이터를 활용하여 관제사의 의사 결정과 수행 업무를 지원하는 것이 해상 교통 관리의 효율성과 안전성을 향상시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다. 이는 미래에 보다 안전하고 효율적인 해상 운송 시스템의 구현을 위한 실질적인 기여가 될 것으로 기대된다.

  • 위험물 차량사고는 일반차량의 교통사고시 발생하는 인명피해, 재산피해, 교통지체 외에 부가적으로 환경적 영향에 의한 엄청난 인명 및 재산손실을 유발시킬 수 있다. 따라서 이러한 위험물차량사고를 예방하고 피해를 최소로 줄이기 위해서는 위험물수송경로의 신중하고 체계적인 결정이 필수적이라 할 수 있다. 외국의 경우, 위험물의 방출이 미치는 환경적 영향에 대한 인식이 확대되면서 위험물 수송시 응급처리에 관한 연구, 위험물 수송에 따른 위험도 평가에 관한 연구, 위험물 수송시 고려해야할 여러 조건에 관한 연구, 위험물 수송경로 설정에 관한 연구 등이 진행되고 있다. 반면에 우리 나라는 위험물차량관리와 사고처리에 대해 실시간적인 관리를 목표로 하는 국가차원의 계획을 수립하고는 있지만, 현재 이와 관련된 연구는 거의 없는 실정이다. 앞으로 산업발달에 따른 위험물수송량의 증가와 환경의식의 변화에 따라 위험물수송 및 사고처리 등에 관한 연구가 필요할 것이다. 따라서, 본 연구는 위험물차량의 운송경로를 결정할 때 고려해야 할 여러 가지의 기준 및 목표에 따라 위험물수송경로를 설정하는 모형을 제시함으로써 위험물수송에 수반되는 위험을 최소화하면서 위험물차량의 통행시간, 거리, 비용 등을 최적화하여 위험물수송의 안전 및 운영효율성을 향상시키고자 한다. 먼저, 위험물 수송경로의 기준지표로 사용될 위험도를 산정하기 위해 링크 주변노출인구, 밀도 등을 변수로 하는 모형식을 제안하고, 두 번째로 산정된 위험도를 기반으로 최적경로를 결정하는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 마지막으로 가상 네트웍에 본 연구에서 제안된 모형을 적용하고 현재 일반적으로 사용되는 최단경로와 비교·분석하였다.것은 운송거리와 운송비용이 각각 주요한 변수라는 것이다. 모형의 타당성을 검증하기 위해서는 logilikelihood 값을 구하여 $\rho$^2분석을 시행하였다. 여기서는 각 품목별로 $\rho$^2값이 약 0.15~0.3의 비교적 높은 수치를 보여주고 있으므로 모형의 설명력이 어느 정도 있다는 것이 아울러 증명이 되었다. 상관관계에 대한 분석에서는 영업용 차량간의 상관관계가 높게 나타났으며, 이는 곧 영업용 화물차량을 적재중량별로 구분하는 것이 별 의미가 없음을 의미한다. 다시 말하면 자가용 차량을 보유하고 있지 않은 회사는 다른 운송전문업체에 화물운송을 의뢰하게 되므로 출하중량에 따라 화물차량을 구분하는 것에 대해서 그다지 큰 고려를 하지 않는 것으로 해석할 수가 있다.적합함을 재확인함. 6. 혼잡초기를 제외한 혼잡기간 중 대기행렬길이는 밀도데이터 없이도 혼잡 상류부의 도착교통량과 병목지점 본선통과교통량만을 이용하여 추정이 가능함. 7. 이상에 연구한 결과를 토대로, 고속도로 대기행렬길이를 산정할 수 있는 기초적인 도형을 제시함.벌레를 대상으로 처리한 Phenthoate EC가 96.38%의 방제가로 약효가 가장 우수하였고 3월중순 및 4월중순 월동후 암컷을 대상으로 처리한 Machine oil, Phenthoate EC 및 Trichlorfon WP는 비교적 약효가 낮았다.>$^{\circ}$E/$\leq$30$^{\circ}$NW 단열군이 연구지역 내에서 지하수 유동성이 가장 높은 단열군으로 추정된다. 이러한 사실은 3개 시추공을 대상으로 실시한 시추공 내 물리검층과 정압

Application of an Automated Time Domain Reflectometry to Solute Transport Study at Field Scale: Transport Concept (시간영역 광전자파 분석기 (Automatic TDR System)를 이용한 오염물질의 거동에 관한 연구: 오염물질 운송개념)

  • The time-series resident solute concentrations, monitored at two field plots using the automated 144-channel TDR system by Kim (this issue), are used to investigate the dominant transport mechanism at field scale. Two models, based on contradictory assumptions for describing the solute transport in the vadose zone, are fitted to the measured mean breakthrough curves (BTCs): the deterministic one-dimensional convection-dispersion model (CDE) and the stochastic-convective lognormal transfer function model (CLT). In addition, moment analysis has been performed using the probability density functions (pdfs) of the travel time of resident concentration. Results of moment analysis have shown that the first and second time moments of resident pdf are larger than those of flux pdf. Based on the time moments, expressed in function of model parameters, variance and dispersion of resident solute travel times are derived. The relationship between variance or dispersion of solute travel time and depth has been found to be identical for both the time-series flux and resident concentrations. Based on these relationships, the two models have been tested. However, due to the significant variations of transport properties across depth, the test has led to unreliable results. Consequently, the model performance has been evaluated based on predictability of the time-series resident BTCs at other depths after calibration at the first depth. The evaluation of model predictability has resulted in a clear conclusion that for both experimental sites the CLT model gives more accurate prediction than the CDE model. This suggests that solute transport at natural field soils is more likely governed by a stream tube model concept with correlated flow than a complete mixing model. Poor prediction of CDE model is attributed to the underestimation of solute spreading and thus resulting in an overprediction of peak concentration.

The Luminance Characteristics of Organic ELD Based on Znq2 and TPD (Znq2와 TPD에 기초한 유기 ELD의 발광 특성)

  • The Bis(8-oxyquinolino) zinc lII (Znq2) were synthesized successfully from zinc chloride $(ZnCl_2)$ as a initial material . The organic electroluminescece devices (ELDs) were fabricated with N-N'-diphenyl-N-N'-bis (3-meth-ylphenyl)-1,1'-biphenyl-4,4'-diamine (TPD) which act as a hole transporting layer and the Znq2 act as an EL emitting layer and electron transporting layer. In order to maximize luminance of ELD, TPD/Znq2/Al were deposited onto cleaned indium tin oxide (ITO) by changing thickness of EL emitting layer. The photoluminescence (PL) results show that Znq2 compound emits yellow green from 540nm. electrochemical behavior with V-J and V-L curve of carrier injection was investigated from 6 V. respectively. The maximum luminance were defected about $838 cd/m^2$. From these results, ai synthesized Znq2 material maybe one of the useful material of organic EL display material.

The Analysis of Cost Structure and Productivity in the Korea and Japan Railroad Industry (한국과 일본 철도산업의 비용구조와 생산성 분석)

  • This paper investigates the cost structure ot the Korea and Japan railroad industry with respect to density, scale and scope economies as well as productivity growth rate using a generalized trans)og multiproduct cost function model. The paper then assumes that the Korea and Japan railway companies pi·educe three outputs (incumbent railway passenger-kilometers. Shinkansen passenger-kilometers, ton-kilometers of freight) using four input factors (labor, fuel, maintenance, rolling stock and capital). The specified cost function includes foul other independent variables: track lengths to reflect network effects, two dummies to reflect nation and ownership effects, and time trend as a proxy for technical change. The simultaneous equation system consisting of a cost function and three input share equations is estimated with the Zellner's iterative seemingly unrelated regression. The unbalanced panel data used in the paper, a total of 154 observations. are collected from the annual records of the Korea National Railroad (KNR) for the yews $1977{\sim}2003$, Japan National Railways (JNR) for the years $1977{\sim}1984$. seven Japan Railways (JR's) for the years $1987{\sim}2003$. The findings show that the Korean and Japanese railways exhibit product-specific and overall economies of density but product-specific diseconomies of scale with respect to incumbent railway passenger-kilometers, Shinkansen-kilometers and ton-kilometers. However, the railways experience mild overall economies of scale which result from economies of scope associated with the joint production of incumbent railway/Shinkansen and feight, freight/incumbent railway and Shinkansen except Shinkansen/incumbent railway and freight. In addition, the economies of density and scale in the KNR, JR east, JR central, and JR west companies at the point of the years $1990{\sim}2003$ average is generally analogous to the above results at the point of sample average. There also appear to be economies of ssope associated with the joint Production of the incumbent railway and Shinkansen in JR central but diseconomies of scope in JR East and JR West. The findings also indicate that the productivity growth rate of the privately-owned JR's is larger than that of the government-owned KNR.

  • The high distribution costs causes the increasing of truck delivery time and cost, which results in reducing industrial competitiveness incre. Therefore, This study conducted research into the introduction of truck only lane for reducting distribution costs. The site of study is Keumho JCT ~ Namgumi IC of Kyeongbu Expressway which has much truck traffic because of industrial complex. Thus, this study deduced travel speed and density in each scenaria(base, bus only lane, truck only lane, two only lane). According to analysis result, if a truck only lane install, the average driving speed is 83.4km/h as a highest and density 22.47veh/km as lowest. it means that if the truck only lane is install, it will be positive influence on the expressway
