To achieve the objective of this study, the data was collected from 300 trainees of security martial arts gyms located in Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi-do regions by using the convenience sampling method. Total 281 questionnaires were used for the analysis after excluding 19 questionnaires. Using the SPSS 23.0 for data-process, this study conducted the frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. First, all the variables showed positive(+) correlations. Second, the presentation of vision of instructors' servant leadership had positive(+) effects on the behavioral commitment while the devoted attitude of instructors' servant leadership had positive(+) effects on the cognitive commitment. Third, the presentation of vision, formation of community, and support for growth of instructors' servant leadership had positive(+) effects on the psychological elements while the presentation of vision and support for growth had positive(+) effects on the environmental elements. The presentation of vision and formation of community had positive(+) effects on the physical elements while the presentation of vision and formation of community had positive(+) effects on the educational elements. The presentation of vision, formation of community, and support for growth had positive(+) effects on the social elements. Fourth, both cognitive commitment and behavioral commitment out of trainees' exercise commitment had positive(+) effects on the psychological elements, environmental elements, physical elements, and educational elements of training satisfaction while only the cognitive commitment had positive(+) effects on the social elements. In summary, the security martial arts instructors should show the leadership like presentation of vision and devotion, and also try hard to satisfy the expectation in many areas to raise the exercise commitment.

This study examined the relationship between the sociodemographic characteristics, health related factors, physical functions (ADL, IADL), mental functions (CES-D, MMSE-K), oral health impact profile (OHIP-14), and the quality of life (WHOQOL-BREF) for the elderly in long-term care facilities. The research was conducted in 602 facility allowance beneficiaries authorized to be eligible for long-term care in long-term care facilities through personal interviews using a structured questionnaire from May 1 to June 30, 2016. As a result, the quality of life was lower among females than males in the group receiving government subsidies than the group whose livelihood was maintained by themselves or their children, in the group with a longer period of care, in the drinking group than the non-drinking group, in the group with irregular exercise than the regular exercise, in the group with irregular meals than regular meals, in the group with poor subjective health conditions than good subjective health condition, in the group with a smaller number of daily toothbrushing, in the group with xerostomia than no xerostomia, in the group with a lower OHIP-14, in the group with a lower ADL and IADL, and in the group with a lower CES-D and MMSE-K. In particular, the quality of life was affected more by health-related factors and CES-D and MMSE-K than by other factors. Therefore, it is necessary to make efforts to prevent depression and cognitive impairment, including health-related behavior, with the objective of improving the quality of life for the elderly in long-term care facilities.

This study examined the correlation among the Korean language ability, health promotion behaviors and health status of immigrant women by marriage. Data on the subjects of 148 immigrant women were collected from September to December, 2013. Constructed self-administered questionnaires were used to gather information on the general characteristics of the immigrant women, their Korean language ability, health promotion behaviors and emotional health status. The health examination results of the subjects were used for information on their health status. There were significant differences in the Korean language reading ability, drinking habits, total cholesterol and body mass index between the diseased group and the intact group. An analysis of the relationship between the Korean language ability and health conditions revealed a significant positive correlation between the total cholesterol and neutral fat, but negative correlations between the density of hemoglobin and the total cholesterol, the neutral fat and body mass index. There was a significant negative correlation between the Korean language ability and the level of stress. Based on these results, a program was suggested and developed to decrease the rate of drinking, cholesterol and body mass index of immigrant women and to promote their ability to understand health information and express their diseases properly in the Korean language.

This study is based on the theory of salutogenesis, and investigates factors affecting the health status of radiologists who experience high stress and health problems in the rapidly changing medical environment. The study enrolled 379 radiologists working at hospitals in Daegu. A health structure model was established by applying the theory of salutogenesis. Sense of coherence had a direct effect on the health status of radiologists. Psychological stress, social support, and drinking were also influential factors, due to their mediating effect on the sense of coherence. Moreover, social support was also found to be lower when job stresses were higher. Hence, increased psychological stress resulted in lower levels of sense of coherence, social support and exercise. Taken together, results of this study indicate that effects on the sense of coherence have maximum influence on the health status of radiologists, and social support among general resistance resources is an important factor for enhancing sense of coherence. In addition to social support and health behaviors, researches involving various resources and the development of organizational strategies and health promotion intervention programs are required in future, to enable radiologists to cope with their stresses and improve health.

This study was performed to investigate and analyze users' needs for m-health based prevention and intervention programs that are intended to improve the awareness of metabolic syndrome and promote health behaviors of college students. A questionnaire survey was conducted to 200 college students of 2 university in D city. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, chi-square test with the SPSS Version 20.0. The result showed that users wanted customization of prescriptions and accurate measurement of health applications, and provided a positive feedback on information exchange between those who manage their health. The most preferred content was proper exercise methods, and the preferred gamification factors were goal-setting, compensation, and competition. The optimal price for wearable devices was between 10,000 to 50,000 won, and calorie consumption function was also preferred. Although users with experiences of wearable devices and health apps had a higher knowledge score pertaining to metabolic syndrome, there was no significant difference in the overall score. Concerning the health behaviors associated with lifestyles, individuals without the experiences of wearable devices and health apps showed a remarkably lower score. The research has a significance that it investigated and analyzed the contents needed for the development of effective moblie health based prevention and intervention programs targeting the population in their early adulthood. Therefore, based on the findings, we propose a rich and concrete follow-up study on the needs and characteristics of different user types by collecting a population with experiences of wearable devices, and a development of differentiated mobile health based prevention and intervention programs.

The purpose of this study is to improve the academy sports field for the establishment of advanced sports culture. This study used qualitative research. The research participants were baseball players for 11 years and have been professional baseball players. Another study participant has been a soccer player for eight years. And he has been a football coach for 13 years. The results of this study are as follows. First, the act of entertaining was the form in which parents served sports leaders meals and alcohol. Parents' student athletes had increased chances of playing in the game and were able to receive faithful guidance. Second, the student athletes whose parents did not act of entertaining to the sports leader were discriminated against. The student athletes were harassed by their leaders, their positions changed, and their chances of playing were reduced. Third, parents' student athletes who did not act of entertaining to their leaders either stopped exercising or moved to another school because of discrimination. Eventually, the entertainment culture of academy sports acted as a mechanism to induce sports de-socialization of student athletes, and made students experience a negative aspect of sports culture. As a result, the entertainment culture of academy sports caused discriminatory treatment due to economic inequality. Therefore, the negative entertainment culture of academy sports should be eradicated for the establishment of advanced sports culture.

This study aimed to assess the nutritional status and the nutritional risks based on the food intake frequency and health-related behaviors of middle-aged and elderly people living in Andong area. Interviews were conducted with 1,384 subjects (532 males, 852 females) aged 50 years and over. Nutrient intakes, food intake frequency, and health-related behaviors including smoking, drinking, and exercise were investigated. The average energy intakes were 1410.5 kcal for males and 1279.2 kcal for females, and the percentages of the subjects consuming below the estimated energy requirement (EER) were 92.5% and 88.4%, respectively. The least consumed nutrients compared to the estimated average requirement (EAR) were riboflavin (92.5% for males, 89.6% for females), folic acid (89.7%, 88.5%), and calcium (78.9%, 85.8%), in order. According to the food intake frequency survey, the intakes of meat, fish and vegetable (except kimchi) were very poor, and this low intakes of meat and fish showed as poor status of protein, niacin, vitamin $B_6$, and zinc intakes. Health-related behaviors data showed that the ratio of cigarette smokers, especially male, was higher, while the ratio of the person exercising regularly was lower than that of the nationwide statistics, respectively. Cigarette smoking and drinking were not significantly related to the poor nutrition intake, while regular exercise positively influenced nutrient intakes in female subjects. These results showed that the nutritional status of the subjects was likely to be severely deficient and the low intakes of meat and fish to be highly related to the increase of nutritional risk. Therefore, in order to prevent the occurrence of the secondary disease related to the food intake and health-related behaviors of the subjects, the proper educational program on balanced dietary intake and the correction of health-related behaviors should be developed and applied to this area.

Purpose: The purpose of this research was to identify the relationships between stroke knowledge, health perception, exercise self-efficacy and stroke prevention behaviour and the factors influencing stroke prevention behaviour in middle-aged adults. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted in 2 cities of Korea from May to July 2020, using structured questionnaire. The participants were 168 middle-aged adults without a history of stroke. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 25.0. Results: There was significant correlations among degree of stroke prevention behaviour, stroke knowledge about warning sign (r= .20, p= .010), health perception (r= .35, p< .001) and exercise self-efficacy (r= .43, p< .001). The most important factor influencing stroke prevention behaviour was exercise self-efficacy (β= 0.38, p< .001), followed by health perception (β= 0.18, p= .008), body mass index (β= -0.17, p= .011), stroke knowledge about warning sign (β= 0.13, p= .045) in that order. These factors explained 37.7% of total variance in stroke prevention behaviour (F= 11.09, p< .001). Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that the development of nursing intervention for stroke prevention behaviour improvement is needed considering exercise self-efficacy and stroke knowledge.
