Effects of Taping Therapy and Passive Range of Motion Exercises on Shoulder joint, Hand dexterity in the Elderly (테이핑요법과 수동적 관절범위운동이 노인의 견관절과 손의 민첩성에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of taping therapy and passive range of motion exercises for the elderly aged 65 above with shoulder pain and limited of range of motion. This study was a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Data were collected about shoulder pain, range of motion, hand dexterity from 40 of elderly(exp.:20, con.:20) in B city from August to September, 2009. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS Win 12.0. Shoulder pain was significantly decreased. Range of motion which was flexion, extension, abduction, horizontal abduction. and hand dexterity were significantly increased in the taping group and PROM group. Shoulder pain and hand dextrity was non significantly between taping group and PROM group. Range of motion which was extension more increased taping group than PROM group. It was proven that taping therapy and PROM was effective for shoulder pain, articular range of motion and hand dexterity.

  • 오늘날 우리나라 기업들이 정부가 경제운용방식을 민간주도의 경제운용방식으로 전환하겠다는 정부시책에 따라 총합적품질관리(TQC)를 정착화하여, 기업의 재무구조를 개선하고, 생산성 및 품질향상을 통하여 국제경쟁에 이기기 위하여, 전국적으로 TQC 정착화운동을 활발히 전개하고 있음은 주지의 사실이다. TQC의 진수를 이루고 있는 것이 통계적품질관리(SQC)이므로 통계적방법의 공업에의 응용면을 찾아보는 것은 SQC 기법의 활용도를 찾아보는 것과 동일하다고 본다. 공업통계의 활용은 생산성향상과 공산품의 품질향상에 직결되므로 차제에 우리나라 기업이 어느 정도 통계교육을 받고 있고, 어느 정도 활용하고 있나를 파악한 후, 그것을 분석하고, 개선대책을 내놓는다면 커다란 의의가 있다고 생각되나, 필자의 제한된 경험과 제한된 자료, 제한된 시간 관계상, 그렇게하지 못함을 송구스럽게 생각한다. 본논문은 필자의 한국공업표준협회의 품질관리교육, 품질관리대상심사, 품질관리분임조경쟁대회심사 등을 통한 제한된 경험과 자료를 가지고, 한국공업통계이용현황에 관하여 기술한 것이다. 첫째로 우리나라 기업의 공업통계교육현황을 살펴보고, 둘째로 우리나라 기업이 공업통계를 제품의 개발단계에서 생산단계, 판매단계에 이르기까지 어떻게 활용하고 있는지 그 정도를 살펴보고, 셋째로는 앞으로의 우리나라 기업의 공업통계활용활성화방안에 대하여 필자 나름대로의 의견을 진술하고자 한다.

Factors Related to Physical Activities of Elderly with Hypertension between Urban and Rural Areas (고혈압 노인의 도농 간 신체활동참여 관련요인)

  • Objectives: This study was performed to find the differences in physical activity according to general characteristics and factors related to physical activity between the elderly over 65 with hypertension living rural and urban areas. Methods: This study included 681 participants (221 rural, 460 urban) with hypertension from The Fifth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES V). The collected data were analyzed through an $x^2$-test to examine the differences in physical activity and multiple logistic regression to assess factors related to physical activity between the elderly over 65 with hypertension living rural and urban areas. Results: The significant statistical factors related with physical activities for the urban hypertension group were education level, activities of daily living, and quality of life. However, the related factors for rural residents were activities of daily living and limitation of activity. Conclusions: The study results indicated that the factors that affected the level of physical activity revealed difference in case hypertension between the urban and rural groups. An awareness of the importance of physical activity will have a positive influence on improving the physical function and quality of life for elderly people with hypertension.

Generation of an Optimal Trajectory for Rotorcraft Subject to Multiple Waypoint Constraints (다중 경로점 제한 조건하의 헬리콥터의 최적 경로 생성)

  • Controlling rotorcraft to fly precisely through multiple, irregularly, and closely spaced waypoints is a common and practical mission. However, finding an optimal trajectory for this kind of mission is quite challenging. Usability of traditional approaches such as inverse control or direct methods to this kind of problem is limited because of either limitation on the specification of the constraints or requirement of extensive computation time. This paper proposes a method that can easily compute the full trajectory and control history for rotorcraft to pass through waypoints while satisfying other general constraints of states such as velocities and attitudes on each waypoint. The proposed method is applied to rotorcraft guidance problems of slalom and linear trajectory in the middle of general curved trajectory. The algorithm is test for various situations and demonstrates its usability.

The Impingement of The Posterior Elbow in The Heavy Workers (중노동자에서 발생된 주관절 후방부의 충돌 병변)

  • Purpose: To describe the impingement of the osteophyte between the olecranon process and olecranon fossa and to understand the effect of removing the lesion on the elbow extension in heavy workers. Materials and Methods: Arthroscopy was performed to elbow of heavy industrial workers who complained painful limitation of elbow extension.6 patients(Teases) with average age of 43 year were selected. The average ROM showed flexion contracture of $17^{\circ}$ and further flexion of $87^{\circ}$. Results: In all cases, after the operation two months follow up, mean flexion contracture improved from $17^{\circ}\;to\;2^{\circ}$ with further flexion from$87^{\circ}\;to\;122^{\circ}$. After the operation 1 year follow up, the mean flexion contracture was $3^{\circ}$ and further flexion was $113^{\circ}$. Pain relief within acquired range of motion was achieved in all cases and there was no complication in this series. Conclusion: Selective removal of the impingement bony spur for treatment of flexion contracture in the patient with chronic cumulative trauma disorder patients appear to be effective method to control pain, recover joint movement and at] ow early rehabilitation.

  • Exercise-induced anaphylaxis (EIA) is a physical allergy, sometimes severe, triggered by exertion following specific food intake. It was defined for the first time in 1980. EIA is associated with different kinds of exercise. The clinical manifestations progress from itching, erythema and urticaria to some combination of cutaneous angioedema and vascular collapse. Mast cell participation in the pathogenesis of this syndrome has been proved by the findings of an elevated serum histamine level during exhaustive exercise. As predisposing factors of EIA, a specific or even nonspecific sensitivity to food has been reported. Food-dependent exercise-induced anaphylaxis (FDEIA) is a distinct form of food allergy induced by physical exercise. It is typified by the onset of anaphylaxis during exercise which was preceded by the ingestion of the causal food allergens. The diagnosis of FDEIA is heavily dependent on clinical history. Allergy tests may need to be performed using a broad panel of food and food additives. As with food allergies, FDEIA diagnosis is based on interview, biological test and skin test. Prophylaxis aims to prevent a recurrence; the patient should be given an emergency kit to deal with any recurrent episodes. After the food allergen has been identified, it should be avoided for at least 4 to 5 hours before any exercise. Two cases of EIA are presented (EIA to circumstances; FDEIA) in this paper, The diagnosis, pathophysiology and therapy of FDEIA are also reviewed.

  • Cerebellar ataxia is a steadily progressive neurodegenerative disease associated with loss of motor control, leaving patients unable to walk, talk, or perform activities of daily living. Direct motor instruction in cerebella ataxia patients has limited effectiveness, presumably because an inappropriate closed-loop cerebellar response to the inevitable observed error confounds motor learning mechanisms. Recent studies have validated the age-old technique of employing motor imagery training (mental rehearsal of a movement) to boost motor performance in athletes, much as a champion downhill skier visualizes the course prior to embarking on a run. Could the use of EEG based BCI provide advanced biofeedback to improve motor imagery and provide a "backdoor" to improving motor performance in ataxia patients? In order to determine the feasibility of using EEG-based BCI control in this population, we compare the ability to modulate mu-band power (8-12 Hz) by performing a cued motor imagery task in an ataxia patient and healthy control.

  • 관절와 및 상완골의 의미 있는 골결손을 동반한 불안정한 견관절에 대해 어떻게 최선의 치료를 할 것인가에 대한 의문은 남아있다. 어떤 저자들은 외회전과 외전을 제한하는 것으로 Hill-Sachs 병변의 진입을 예방하는 일종의 관혈적 관절낭 변위를 통한 제한된 상완와관절 운동을 주장해왔으며, 다른 관혈적 시술들은 극하근건과 관절낭을 Hill-Sachs 병변 내로 관혈적 전이시키는 것으로 기술되어왔다. 최근에는 여러 저자들에 의해 Hill-Sachs 병변의 진입을 치료하는 더 새로운 접근법들이 기술되었으며, Bankart 병변 복원술에 더하여 Hill-Sachs 병변을 채우기 위해 관절경 하 후방 관절낭 고정술과 극하근건 고정술로 이루어진 이른바 'Remplissage'술기가 소개된 바 있어, 이에 저자는 외상성 견관절 불안정성으로 관절경 하 Bankart 병변 복원술 및 관절낭 축화술 시행 후 외상으로 재발된 견관절 불안정성이 발생하여 관절경 하 Bankart 병변 복원술과 함께'Remplissage'술기를 이용한 Hill-Sachs 병변 복원술을 시행한 예를 보고하는 바이다.

단요소 충돌형 분사기에 의한 액체추진제 연소성능의 수치적 연구

  • 액체추진제 로켓엔진에서 분사기의 미립화 및 혼합 특성과 그에 따른 연소 특성은 성능과 안정성을 결정하는 중요한 파라미터이며 분사기는 제한된 설계 조건하에서 최대의 열방출율을 발휘하도록 설계되어야 한다. 여기서 연소효율은 연료와 산화제의 혼합특성과 충돌 분무의 미립화의 정도에 의해 결정되므로 충돌 분무 유동성의 혼합, 미립화 특성과 이에 따른 인조성능 특성을 명확하게 밝힘으로써 최대 엔진성능을 위한 설계가 가능하게 된다. 분사기의 설계에는 분사요소형태, 분사공의 형상 및 유동시스템 등이 포함되며 특히 분사요소 형태의 선택에는 추진제, 연소실냉각방법, 연소실 형상, 자동조건 및 엔진의 수명 등이 중요한 제한조건으로 고려된다. 이런 형태의 분사 요소들 중, 충돌형 분사기는 저장성 추진제를 사용하는 중, 저추력의 액체추진제 로켓엔진에 주로 사용된다. 이 분사형태는 미립화 성능이 높지 않고, 분사공 직경 및 운동량비에 따른 혼합성능이 만감하며 blow apart 등에 의한 열부하 혹은 안정성에 대한 문제가 있으나 양호한 혼합효율, 신뢰성과 제작의 용이함으로 인하여 광범위하게 사용된다.
