유리생산공정 폐주석산화물에서 건식제련에 의한 주석회수기술 (Recovery of Tin from Tin Oxide Resulted from Glass Manufacturing Process by Pyrometallurgy)

  • 현재 국내에서 소비되는 주석의 대부분은 수입에 의존하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 평판 유리, LCD 패널 유리 기판 생산시 발생하는 주석 용탕에 함유된 주석산화물을 건식법으로 회수하는 공정을 조사하였다. 환원반응온도를 변화시키며 주석의 회수율을 조사한 결과 $1350^{\circ}C$에서 최대 회수율을 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 주석 산화물의 1차 제련과 슬래그의 2차 제련을 통해 88%의 회수율을 얻었다. 건식공정으로 회수된 조주석을 전해정련처리하여 99.9%의 순도를 지닌 주석 금속을 제조하였다.

쌍롤식 연속주조공정에서의 난류유동 및 거시적응고 해석 (Analysis of the Coupled Turbulent Flow and Macroscopic Solidification in Twin-Roll Continuous Casting Process)

  • The transport phenomena in a wedge-shaped pool of twin-roll continuous caster are affected by the various operating parameters such as the melt-feed pattern, roll-gap thickness, melt-superheat, and casting speed. A computer program has been developed for analyzing the two-dimensional, steady conservation equations for transport phenomena during twin-roll continuous casting process in order to estimate the turbulent melt-flow, temperature fields, and solidification in the wedge-shaped pool. The turbulent characteristics of the melt-flow were considered using a low-Reynolds-number K-$\xi$ turbulence model. Based on the computer program, the effects of the different melt-feed patterns, roll-gap thicknesses, and superheats of melt on the variations of the velocity and temperature distributions, and the mushy solidification were examined. The results show that the liquidus line is located considerably at the upstream region, and in the lower region appear the well-mixed melt-flow and most widely developed mushy zone. Besides, the variation of melt-flow due to varying melt-feed patterns, affects mainly the liquidus line, and scarcely has effects on the solidus line in the outlet region.

  • In this study, aluminum borate whisker reinforced Mg-3Al-2Ag-1Zn matrix composites were fabricated by the squeeze infiltration technique. The purpose is to develop materials for elevated temperature applications. Microstructure observation revealed successful fabrication of the metal matrix composites, namely no cast defects such as porosity and matrix/reinforcement interface delamination etc. High temperature hardness and creep rupture properties were improved significantly with addition of Ag to the Al borate whisker reinforced Mg alloy composite. $Mg_3Ag$ phase formed during aging heat treatment could improve creep properties of the Mg matrix composites.

난류용탕 in-situ 합성법에 의해 제조된 TiB2 입자강화 Cu 기지 복합재료의 특성 (Characterization of TiB2 Particle Reinforced Cu Matrix Composites Processed by Turbulent In-situ Mixing)

  • A copper matrix composite reinforced by turbulent in-situ $TiB_2$ nanoparticle was Prepared by reactions of boron ana titanium. The microstructure, mechanical and electrical properties of the as-drawn composites were investigated. The results showed that the formed $TiB_2$ particles, which had a size of about from 50 to 200nm, exhibited a homogeneous dispersion in the copper matrix. Due to their reinforcement, the hardness and Young's modulus of $Cu-TiB_2$ composites were enhanced with increasing the cooling rate. Moreover, the electrical conductivity of the composites were improved with increasing the cooling rate.

  • 국내 천연가스 열량제도를 현행 표준 열량제 $10,400kcal/Nm^3(43.54MJ/Nm^3)$에서 중간 조정기간을 두고 2012.07.01부터는 최저 $10,100kcal/Nm^3(42.28MJ/Nm^3)$을 유지하고 2015년 이후 $9,800(41.1MJ/Nm^3){\sim}10,600kcal/Nm^3(44.4MJ/Nm^3)$ 열량범위제도로 변경 추진되고 있다. 산업현장에서 열량변동을 측정하여 공연비 제어기술을 개발하고자 60ton Al 용해로에 열량대응기술 개발을 위한 내용으로 열량측정시스템설치 및 열량 값과 연계하여 공연비 제어기술개발연구 내용으로 결과는 다음과 같다. 단순히 표준열량으로 에 맞춰 프로그램된 제어로직에 열량변동에서 검출된 신호를 이용하여 연료보정 값을 추가한 로직을 재구성할 필요가 있다. 이 혀장의 경우는 용탕의 온도가 목표온도 근처까지 올리기가 어려워진 상황으로 주로 공급열량 저열량화에 따른 과잉공기영향으로 온도상승이 어려워 보이며 적절한 공연비로 최적화 되면 이러한 문제가 개선되리라 생각된다.

알루미늄 합금 실린더 블럭을 적용한 가솔린 엔진의 냉각계 개발 (The development of cooling system in the gasoline engine with the aluminum alloy cylinder block)

  • 본 논문에서는 주철 라이너를 삽입한 알루미늄 블럭 엔진 개발과정에서 주조 불량이 발생하였을때, 냉각계에 일어나는 제반 현상을 분석하고, 이를 해결해 나가는 과정을 기술하였다. 이를 위하여 주철 블럭과 알루미늄 블럭을 장착한 엔진의 피스톤 온도와 블럭의 열유속, 열정산을 측정하였다. 측정한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 알루미늄 블럭 제작시 주철 라이너와 알루미늄 블럭 사이에 공기층이 크거나, 용탕 충진이 불완전한 주조 불량이 발생하면 열접촉 저항이 커져 엔진 열전달 경로에 큰 영향을 준다. 2. 알루미늄 블럭 제작시 주조 불량이 발생하면 피스톤에서 라이너로의 전열량이 줄어듦에 따라 냉각수로의 전열량은 감소하는데, 6,000rpm, 전부하에서 알루미늄 블럭의 출력 대비 냉각수로의 방열량의 비는 38.3%이고, 주철 블럭은 44.1%이다. 3. 알루미늄 블럭 제작시 주조 불량이 발생하면, 피스톤 온도가 15-20.deg.C 정도 상승하여 피스톤 손상을 유발시킬 수 있다. 4. 알루미늄 블럭의 주조가 완벽하게 되어 주철 라이너와 알루미늄 몸체 사이에서의 열접촉저항이 없어지면, 스토로크 방향에 따른 금속면 온도 분포가 균일하게 된다. 5. 실린더 라이너의 주조상태 개선없이 오일젯을 사용한 결과 피스톤의 온도를 만족할 만한 수준으로 감소시켰다. 6. 6000rpm, 전부하에서 오일젯 적용시 출력 대비 냉각수로의 방열량의 비가 38.3%에서 36.2%로 감소하고, 출력대비 오일로의 방열량의 비는 9.6%에서 11.2%로 증가한다. 7. 오일젯 작용시 오일 펌프의 용량 증대와 오일 쿨러의 장착이 필수적이다.

용탕 단조 Al-3.0 wt%Si 합금의 강도에 미치는 합금 원소 및 열처리 조건의 영향 (Effects of Alloying Element and Heat-Treatment Condition on the Strength of Squeeze-Casted Al-3.0 wt%Si Alloy)

  • The effects of alloying element and the condition of heat-treatment on the strength of squeeze-cast Al-3.0 wt%Si alloy were investigated. The strength of the alloy without grain refinement was increased with increase Cu content upto 3.0 wt% and rather decreased beyond that. The tensile strength of the alloy with grain refinement increased with Cu content upto 3.0 wt% and not changed beyond that. The strength of the alloy without grain refinement increased with the Mg content. The tensile strength with grain refinement increased with the Mg content upto 0.50 wt% and then decreased beyond that. The strength of the grain refined alloy increased by individual and simultaneous additions of Cu and Mg and the maximum strength was obtained with Al-3.0 wt%Si-4.5 wt%Cu-0.50 wt%Mg alloy. The optimum heat-treatment condition for this alloy was obtained.

티타늄합금 주조용 치과매몰재의 조성에 따른 경화거동 및 용탕반응성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Hardening Behavior and Metal-Mold Reaction in Dental Investment Materials for Titanium Castings)

  • Hardening behavior and metal-mold reaction of phosphate bonded investments for titanium and titanium alloys were investigated. Alumina and $Y_2O_3-stabilized$ zirconia, which are thermodynamically more stable than Titania, were used as major filler materials. $NH_4H_2PO_4$ was used as binder, and MgO was used as hardening acceleration material. A different composition ratio of binder and hardening acceleration material had effected on general hardening behavior and castings. And adding $YO_3-stabilized$ zirconia to alumina, metal-mold reaction characteristics for castings was evaluated. Considering working conditions and effects on castings, the best composition ratio conditions were both 10:10 and 12:8($NH_4H_2PO_4vs.\;MgO$). On the other hand, increasing the contents of $Y_2O_3-stabilized$ zirconia for filler material, metal-mold reaction layer of titanium castings was greatly decreased.

용탕단조 마그네슘합금의 조직과 기계적 성질에 미치는 Zn과 Zr의 영향 (Effect of Zinc and Zirconium on Microstructure and Mechanical Property in Squeeze Cast Magnesium Alloy)

  • Mg-Zn-Zr ternary alloys containing 6wt% Zn and (0, 0.4, 0.6)wt% Zr, which is added for grain refinement, can be cast into complex shape by squeeze casting. The influence of Zn and Zr as additional elements on microstructure and mechanical characteristics is investigated by OM, SEM, WDX, XRD and microvickers hardness measurement. The microstructure of Mg-Zn-Zr alloys consists of primary ${\alpha}-Mg$ and MgZn eutectic compound between dendrites. The grain size is decreased from $136{\mu}m$ to $97\;{\mu}m$ by Zr addition, resulting in that the hardness is increased from 42Hv to 59Hv. Furthermore, the grain size is changed to $83{\beta}$ and the hardness is increased to 65Hv by additional infiltration pressure. These results indicate that the Zr addition and additional infiltration pressure are effective for grain refinement acting as an important factor to increase the hardness. The increment in hardness by the Zr addition is slightly larger than that by the additional infiltration pressure.

반응용탕단조법에 의한 $(Al_2O_3+Si)/Mg$ 하이브리드 금속복합재료의 제조 및 특성평가 (Fabrication and Properties of Reaction Squeeze Cast $(Al_2O_3+Si)/Mg$ Hybrid Metal Matrix Composites)

  • In the present study,($10%Al_2O_3+5%Si$)/AZ91 Mg hybrid composite was fabricated using the squeeze casting method. During squeeze casting, Molten Mg was infiltrated into the preform of $10%Al_2O_3+5%Si$ and reaction product of $Mg_2Si$ intermetallic compound was formed by the reaction between molten Mg and Si Powder. Microstructure has been observed and mechanical properties were evaluated for the reaction squeeze cast(RSC) hybrid composite. It was found that Si powder totally reacted with molten Mg to form $Mg_2Si$. Reinforcement($Al_2O_3$) and the reaction product ($Mg_2Si$) are fairly uniformly distributed in Mg Matrix for the squeeze cast hybrid composite. Mechanical Properties were improved with hybridization of reinforcements, namely higher hardness and enhanced wear resistance comparing squeeze cast($15%Al_2O_3$)/AZ91 Mg composite.
