Implementation of Digital Laser Welding Cell for Car Side Panel Assembly (차체 사이드 패널 조립을 위한 디지털 레이저용접 셀 구현)

  • Because of the turbulent markets and the increasing demand on product quality, the application of new technology to practice is increasingly important. In case of automotive industries, they take interest in laser welding to solve these problems because laser welding has many advantages such as good accessibility, welding quality, fast welding speed and so on. To apply this technology to welding of car body, the data of laser welding are collected through lots of the experiment according to the material, geometry and layer number of welding points. Based on the experiment results and the information of product, i.e. the car side panel, the clustering of stitches for laser welding was carried out and the optimal equipments are selected through the comparison between the requirements of welding and the potential of equipments. Using these results, laser welding cell for the car side panel are configured with the concept of the digital manufacturing, which ensures maximum planning security with visualization and simulation. Finally, the optimal laser welding cell is chosen by the evaluation of alternative cells with assessment criteria.

Bolted Bonding Method of Steel Pipe Pile and Cap (볼트식 강관말뚝 머리보강 방법)

  • Present bonding methods which connect steel pipe and spread footing in pile foundation have been generally used. These methods however showed lots of difficulties in the quality control. A new bonding method, which is called 'Bolted Bonding Method(BBM)' , is developed. This method uses factory-made parts so that it may increase the degree of quality, and workability, and is being adopted in the Held concerned. The method is verified by the structural analysis and laboratory test and then a new design formula is proposed. In addition, a comparison test of the present methods and BBM are conducted to observe the applicability and economy of the latter. As results, it is observed that BBM shows 5 to 10 times faster in Held work and 9% to 50% cheaper in construction cost than the existing methods.

  • Design and fabrication of a 30-tonf-class full-scale regenerative cooling combustion chamber of a liquid rocket engine for a ground hot firing test are described. It has chamber pressure of 60 bar and nozzle expansion ration of 12 and manufactured to have a single welded structure of· the mixing head and the chamber. The material of the mixing head is STS316L which has excellent mechanical property in cryogenic condition. The chamber comprise of the cylinder, nozzle throat, and 1st/2nd nozzle parts. The material of the inner jacket is copper alloy/STS329J1/STS316L and that of the outer jacket is STS329J1. The components of· the combustor were manufactured by mechanical processing including lathing, milling, MCT, rolling and pressing. The machined components were integrated to a single body by means of general welding, electron beam welding(EBW), and brazing.

  • Nowadays, the increasing global competition forces automobile manufacturer to increase quality and to reduce the cost and time for manufacturing planning. To solve these problems, automobile manufacturers try to apply digital manufacturing technologies. In this paper, a concept of method for planning the digital assembly system is proposed. Based on the requirements of assembly tasks obtained through product analysis, the function and sequence modeling for assembly process is executed using the IDEF0 and UML model. For implementation of digital assembly system, the selected components are modeled by using 3D CAD tools. According to the system configuration strategy, lots of the alternative solutions for the assembly system are generated. Finally, the optimal assembly system is chosen by the evaluation of the alternative solutions with TOPSIS(Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) method. According to proposed procedure, digital laser welding system is implemented in DELMIA.

  • This paper proposes the hybrid fuzzy control system for fast response time and precision control of auto-equipment which exist disturbance, parameter alteration of system, uncertainty. The purposed system, which provides the improvement in terms of the control region in high speed and precision control, first used the fuzzy control method for fast response time and when the error reaches the preset value, used the frequency-locked method for precision control. The theoretical and experimental studies have been carried out. The presented results from the above investigation show considerably improved performance in the position control of auto-equipment.

  • 최근 로봇의 형태는 인간의 명령을 이행하고 스스로 학습하며, 감정을 지닐 수 있는 인공지능을 내장한 로봇이다 이와 같은 특징을 지닌 로봇의 용도는 조립, 도장, 용접 둥 단순 반복 작업이나 위험한 산업현장에서 벗어나 좀더 다양한 분야로 그 범위가 확대되고 있다. 활용의 예는 '가족 도우미'의 역할을 수행하는 로봇으로써 가사, 방범, 오락 그리고 교육 등의 기능을 담당하는 형태로써 보다 다양화되고 향후 가정의 필수품으로 자리 잡을 전망이다. 이러한 로봇의 구현에 인공지능의 요소를 활용해야 하는 것은 당연하며 그 범위 또한 광범위하다. 로봇이 여러 가지의 기능을 수행하기 위해서는 환경 정보를 받아들이는 센서의 역할이 크며 이런 센서를 사용조건에 맞게 활용하는 것도 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 로봇에 부착된 센서의 환경 정보값을 적절히 활용하여 로봇의 다양한 기능을 구현할 수 있는 가정용 지능형 서비스 로봇을 구현하고자 한다. 센서 정보는 지능 기법으로 널러 알려진 소프트 컴퓨팅 기법을 사용한다.

강내 조사용 $^192$Ir 치료선원 제조

  • “하나로”를 이용하여 강내 조사용으로 사용되는 $^{192}$ Ir 선원의 제조법을 확립하였다. HTS (Hydraulic Transfer System)조사공에서 48시간 조사한 $\psi$2.5 mm x t 0.25 mm의 원판형 Ir 표적 10장을 쌓아서 방사능이 1.012 Ci인 선원을 시험제조하였다. 선원 제작에 관련된 생성방사능, 중성자 자기홉수효과 인자를 이론적으로 계산하여 시험제조에 사용하였고 ${\gamma}$선 자기흡수효과는 실험으로 측정하여 암 치료에 요구되는 10-20 Ci 선원의 상용생산에 필요한 자료를 확보하였다. 치료용 소선원 제작에 관련된 표적제작, 중성자조사, 방사능 측정, 선원조립, 밀봉용접, 품질관리 등의 제작기술을 확립하고 선원의 안전성은 밀봉시험, 표면오염검사 등을 수행하여 확인하였다. 제조된 선원은 실제 사용되는 조사장치에 장착하여 기능시험을 수행할 것이다. 이번 실험을 통하여 강내 조사용으로 사용되는 10-20 Ci 방사능의 $^{192}$ Ir 선원을 안정적으로 공급할 수 있음을 확인하였으며 하나로를 이용하여 캡슐 직경 4 mm의 치료용 소선원 제작기술을 확립하였다. 개발된 /spp 192/Ir 강내 조사용 선원은 국내 5-6개 병원에 공급할 것이며 이 기술을 바탕으로 직경 1.1-1.6 mm의 강내 조사용 선원도 개발할 예정이다.

자동차의 실내소음에 대하여

  • 이 글에서는 차실 내부 소음을 형성하는 각종 발생 형태 및 소음원, 전달 형식의 분류에 따라 특성을 간략히 살펴보았다. 각 소음원 및 전달경로의 특성을 확실히 이해하면, 현상을 파악하는 작업이나 소음제어 대책을 수립하는데에 있어서 매우 효과적으로 대처할 수 있다. 이 글에서는 소음 저감 대책에 관하여 논하지는 않았지만, 소음발생 기제(mechanism)에 대한 근본적 원인을 포함하고 있으므로 각 소음 문제에 대한 대책을 수립하는데 있어서 저감 방향을 설정하는 것은 실제 구조 에 대한 기본 개념의 적용이라고 볼 수 있다. 한편, 차체의 용접 및 접착 상태, 부품의 제작 및 조립 상태, 철판 및 고무류의 제작 및 재료 상태 등에 의해서도 내부 소음의 특성이 상당이 틀려지게 되므로, 제품 및 공정의 설계자는 제작에 참여 하는 인원의 숙련 상태에 관계없이 일정한 수준의 소음 품질이 확보 될 수 있도록 최선의 노력을 기울여야 하고, 제작 근로자들도 세심한 정성을 쏟아야 일관성 있게 조용한 차를 생산헤 낼 수 있다.

Analysis on the Thermal Response of Electronic Assemblies during Forced Convection-Infrared Reflow Soldering (강제대류-적외선 리플로 솔더링시 전자조립품의 열적반응 분석)

  • The thermal response of electronic assemblies during forced convection-infrared reflow soldering is studied. Soldering for attaching electronic components to printed circuit boards is performed in a process oven that is equipped with porous panel heaters, through which air is injected in order to dampen temperature fluctuations in the oven which can be established by thermal buoyancy forces. Forced convection-infrared reflow soldering process with air injection is simulated using a 2-dimensional numerical model. The multimode heat transfer within the reflow oven as well as within the electronic assembly is simulated. Parametric study is also performed to study the effects of various conditions such as conveyor speed, blowing velocity, and electronic assembly emissivity on the thermal response of electronic assemblies. The results of this study can be used in the process oven design and selecting the oven operating conditions to ensure proper solder melting and solidification.

A Study on the Prediction and Control of Angular Distortion in Thick Weldments (후판 구조의 각변형 예측 및 제어에 관한 연구)

  • The block assembly of ship consists of a series of heat processes such as cutting, bending, welding residual stress relaxation and fairing With the fast development of computers, the thermal elasto-plastic analysis method has become a versatile tool for practical applications in the ship production. If numerical analysis is proved to be an advantageous tool to predict the residual deformation due to various heat processes, the optimum methods which can remove the welding distortion can be presented at each assembly stage, which will result in great progress in improving the accuracy of block assembly. In order to minimize the weld-induced angular distortion in thick weldments, this paper proposes the optimum groove design for various plate thickness as the distortion control method. The validity of this method has been substantiated by a number of numerical simulations and experiments.
