The Need Analysis for Development of the Customized Educational Programs for Engineering Female Students (공과대학 여학생들을 위한 맞춤형 교육프로그램 개발을 위한 요구조사)

  • Demands on customized educational programs for female students in college of engineering in university level make this study be launched and conducted. Literature reviews related to educational environments, psychological mechanism of female students and current status of conventional educational programs for them were provided. The related survey with 97 students in a university in Incheon was also conducted. Various statistical methods based on SPSS Window's 15.0 version were adopted and applied to analyze data which were collected through the survey. The result of data analysis addressed that female students appeared higher interests in gender recognition than male students do. This result was also proved by statistical analysis. Additional differential findings based on statistical analysis were gender roles and leaderships in classes, employment to the field of specialization and so on.

A Study on Perception and Demand for the Parent Education Program Activation (부모교육 프로그램 활성화를 위한 학부모 인식 및 요구)

  • This study conducted an overall recognition analysis and demand survey of parent education programs in order to explore ways to promote parent education. Based on previous research, the questionnaire was developed including five factors and 23 items : (1) operating a center to support parent education, (2) perception on parent education programs, (3) developing a parent education program, (4) utilizing space, and (5) program operation and evaluation. A survey was administered on the parents of second and fourth graders at A elementary school in Chungju. The result showed that parents are positive about the operation of the center, which can provide professional support for parent education programs. There was also a great demand to strengthen the educational content of parents' roles. This study is meaningful in providing basic data for developing parent education programs based on the perception and demand analysis of existing parent education. Furthermore, the need for performance analysis and feedback was presented in future research directions after the actual development and operation of parent education programs that reflected the demand of parents.

  • Based on related studies on 'disability sports,' 'sports for all,' and 'rehabilitation sports,' this study collected the results of a survey on the disabled, who are the actual users of rehabilitation sports services. It analyzed the need for rehabilitation sports services. The requirements of persons with disabilities were extracted, and the extracted contents were presented as inductive content analysis. The researcher's preconceptions and subjective judgments were to be excluded as much as possible. Based on studies related to "Disability sports," "Sports for all for disability," and "Rehabilitation sports," conducted in Korea, a study that included the results of the survey on disabled people was selected. This study's results were categorized into eight categories (perception of sports activities, programs, instructors, facilities, accessibility, cost/support/financial resources, and others) for people with disabilities.

The Educational Needs Analysis on Migration to Mountains Area by City Dwellers (도시민 대상 귀산촌 교육 요구도 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the educational needs targeted at city dwellers with hope of migration to mountain areas. 80 city dwellers participating in the education program operated by Korea Forestry Promotion Institute were selected. Results showed that city dwellers had higher preference for the education including medium scale(20-40 persons)and the type of camp with field experience. Real experiences and knowledge and understanding of migration to rural area are the most important element of the qualifications of the program teachers. In the contents of education, city dwellers wanted the teaching programs about 'how to have forest land', 'how to produce the forest products', 'field experience' and 'forest tourism' and so on. In other words, city dwellers who wanted to move to mountain areas were interested in basic things for living. In addition, it will need to investigate people who have real experiences migrating to mountain areas and then it is necessary to discuss educational needs and supporting system helping people can settle in mountain areas.

Secondary School Home Economics Teachers´ Educational Needs Analysis on Teaching Competency (중등학교 가정과 교사의 교수 능력에 관한 교육 요구 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to general needs and identify the educational needs for teaching competency of home economics teachers. based on their perception on teaching competency revealed in Previous studies. Data were collected from 1,104 schools selected by stratified sampling. based on school district, ranking and size. The 616 items of survey materials were collected from 417 schools and the levels of importance and performance were measured on Likert scale with 7- and 5- points, respectively. The analysis reveled that the educational needs for improving teaching competency were high in the following three areas out of seven areas. 1) interfacing ability with the local community and diverse human resources. 2) ability managing space and materials for learning 3) ability diversifying lesson development and evaluation ability. In addition. diversifying and professionalizing present development program for home economics teachers made higher score than improving education program for home economics teachers. These two needs of teachers showed significant differences according to their educational experiences and foundation types of their schools.

  • VE is one of the most effective and systematic tool available to achieve the required function at minimum cost and manage in many industrial fields. The purpose of the preparation phase VE job plan is to establish a cooperation system referring to groups for the successful implementation of VE, and to achieve a common objective to collect sufficient materials required in the analysis phase. The Quality Model is used to measure the requirement of shareholders(users and owners)in the project. It also offers a guideline on decision making when executing the function definition, function arrangement, function evaluation, and the idea evaluation of VE. However, the current the preparation phase business confirms that the required items of owners and users has not suggested definite goals and directions. This study analyzes the problems of current work in the preparation phase from case study, survey and interviews of experts. It then proposes a new process after understanding the required items of owners, users and experts.

  • 정보 접근의 편리성과 신속성, 검색의 용이성, 원문제공의 즉시성이라는 장점 때문에 이용자들은 전자저널을 통하여 정보를 얻으려는 경향이 강해지고 있다. K기관에서는 이러한 이용자들의 요구를 만족시키는 정보를 제공하기 위해 평가를 거쳐 전자저널 패키지를 선정하여 구독하고 있다. 본 논문은 고품질 서비스를 이용자들에게 제공하기 위하여 이용자들이 전자저널 재구독 요구를 할 때 영향을 주는 객관적이거나 주관적인 요소들이 있는지 연구하였다. 가설을 수립한 후 가설의 검증을 위하여 종속변수인 이용자들의 구독갱신 요구가 독립변수인 전자저널의 수록 종수, SCIE 등재저널 비율 등의 객관적인 요소 또는 이용자설문조사를 통하여 파악된 이용빈도, 이용의 편리성 등의 주관적인 요소와 상관관계가 있는지 여부를 분석하여 보았다. 분석결과 객관적인 요소들은 재구독 요구와 상관관계가 없었다. 주관적인 요소 중에서도 이용의 편리성은 상관관계가 없었고 이용빈도만이 재구독 요구와 유의한 상관관계를 보였다. 즉 설문조사에서 이용자들이 이용빈도가 높다고 표시한 전자저널 패키지에 대하여 재구독 요구가 많았다.

  • This work aims to derive data-based requirements by analyzing the importance and performance of media literacy in early childhood animations. For this, a survey was conducted on parents with young children after drawing questions of assessment items through expert focus group interviews (FGI). The analytical instruments, Borich Needs Formula formulation and The Locus for Focus Model were used together to improve accuracy. Based on the results, it is meaningful in that it recognized the demand of the inmates for children's education animation and prepared systematic indicators for it.

  • 본 연구에서는 국내 무용인들의 정보요구를 수렴한 학술정보 시스템의 구축 방안을 제시하기 위해, 현재 운영되고 있는 국내 web 무용정보의 정보량과 품질을 분석하였고, 설문조사를 통해 무용정보 시스템의 실질적인 이용자인 국내 무용인의 정보이용 현황 및 정보요구를 분석하였다. 1999년 8월 현재 국내 무용 web site는 68개이고, 이중 98.6% 가 구축하고 있는 web 문서의 수는 40 페이지 미만이었다. 시스템과 이용자 인터페이스 측면과 정보제공 측면으로 품질을 평가한 결과 대부분이 개략적이고 형식적으로 구축되어 이들로부터 유용한 정보를 입수하는 것은 기대할 수 없는 상황이었다. 국내 무용인을 대상으로 설문조사를 한 결과 대부분의 무용인들은 web에서 무용정보를 이용하는 것을 중요하다고 느끼고 있으나, 국내 web 무용정보가 부실하기 때문에 이용률이 저조했다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국내 무용인들에게 보다 실질적이고 효과적인 무용정보 시스템을 구축하기 위한 기초 연구로 기존 국내 Web 무용정보를 분석하여 문제점과 개선점을 제시하였고, 실질적인 국내 무용인의 구체적인 정보요구를 파악하였다.

Laboratory Abilities to Carry-out Experimentations of Matter in the Middle School Science Texts (중학교 과학 교과서의 '물질 영역' 실험 활동에 포함된 실험 수행 능력)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate laboratory abilities to carry-out experimentations in the field of 'Matter' in middle school science texts. A total of 359 chemistry experiments from 26 textbooks has been analyzed. The authors of this study are interested in what science process skills are required for students to perform the experiments and how often these skills are needed. This article introduced a framework for analyzing the science process skills and their frequency. There are similar patterns of science process skill use among the different grades of middle school texts. The process skills of organizing results, interpreting data and making generalizations are most needed by the order of frequency. However, abilities related to alternative activities and/or conditions show relatively low frequency. For seniors, various laboratory abilities to carry out experiments are needed, whereas abilities for operating and setting up an experimental apparatus are required in freshmen and juniors. These results suggest avenues for science teachers that make lesson plans involving science experiments.
