Mining Interesting Sequential Pattern with a Time-interval Constraint for Efficient Analyzing a Web-Click Stream (웹 클릭 스트림의 효율적 분석을 위한 시간 간격 제한을 활용한 관심 순차패턴 탐색)

  • Due to the development of web technologies and the increasing use of smart devices such as smart phone, in recent various web services are widely used in many application fields. In this environment, the topic of supporting personalized and intelligent web services have been actively researched, and an analysis technique on a web-click stream generated from web usage logs is one of the essential techniques related to the topic. In this paper, for efficient analyzing a web-click stream of sequences, a sequential pattern mining technique is proposed, which satisfies the basic requirements for data stream processing and finds a refined mining result. For this purpose, a concept of interesting sequential patterns with a time-interval constraint is defined, which uses not on1y the order of items in a sequential pattern but also their generation times. In addition, A mining method to find the interesting sequential patterns efficiently over a data stream such as a web-click stream is proposed. The proposed method can be effectively used to various computing application fields such as E-commerce, bio-informatics, and USN environments, which generate data as a form of data streams.

Evaluation of Optimal Time Between Overhaul Period of the First Driving Devices for High-Speed Railway Vehicle (고속철도차량 1차 구동장치에 대한 완전분해정비의 최적 주기 평가)

  • The first driving device of the power bogies for the Korean high-speed railway vehicle consists of the traction motor (TM) and the motor reduction gears unit (MRU). Although TM and MRU are the mechanically integrated structures, their time between overhauls (TBO) have two separate intervals due to different technical requirements(i.e. TBO of MRU: $1.8{\times}10^6km$, TBO of TM: $2.5{\times}10^6km$). Therefore, to reduce the unnecessary number of preventive maintenances, it is important to evaluate the optimal TBO with a viewpoint of reliability-center maintenance towards cost-effective solution. In this study, derived from the field data in maintenance, fault tree analysis and failure rate of the subsystem considering criticality of the components are evaluated respectively. To minimize the conventional total maintenance cost, the same optimal TBO of the components is derived from genetic algorithm considering target reliability and improvement factor. In this algorithm, a chromosome which comprised of each individual is the minimum preventive maintenance interval. The fitness function of the individual in generation is acquired through the formulation using an inverse number of the total maintenance cost. Whereas the lowest common multiple method produces only a four percent reduction compared to what the existing method did, the optimal TBO of them using genetic algorithm is $2.25{\times}10^6$km, which is reduced to about 14% comparing the conventional method.

  • In every society, citizens must decide how to punish criminals, uphold the virtue of justice, and preserve the security of the community. In doing so, the members of society must ask themselves how they will punish those who carry out the most abhorrent of crimes. Many common responses to such a question is that death is an acceptable punishment for the most severe crimes. But to draw some theoretical distinction between a crime that deserves incarceration and a crime that is so heinous that it deserves capital punishment is subject to three errors. First, what possible line could be drawn? To decide on a particular number of deaths or to employ any standard would be arbitrary. Second, the use of a line would trivialize and undermine the deaths of those whose murderers fell below the standard. Third, any and all executions still are unjust, as the State should not degrade the institution of justice and dehumanize an individual who, although he or she has no respect for other human life, is still a living person. Simply put, all murders are heinous, all are completely unacceptable, and deserve the greatest punishment of the land; however, death as punishment is inappropriate. Also, while this article arrives at the conclusion that the death penalty is an inappropriate form of punishment, I have not offered an acceptable alternative that would appease those who believe capital offenders deserve a punishment that differs in its quality and severity. This is a burden that, admittedly, I am unable to meet. I finally conclude that the death penalty is unjustified retribution. This is the only claim that can effectively shift the intellectual paradigms of the participants in the debate. The continued use of the death penalty in society can only be determined and influenced by the collective conscience of the members of that society. As stated at the outset of this article, it is this essentially moral conflict regarding what is just and degrading that forms the backdrop for the past changes in and the present operation of our system of imposing death as a punishment for crime.

  • When promoting BTL(Build Transfer Lease; below BTL) project, negotiation is a stage of examining observation and reflection of RFP(Request for Proposal below RFP) in terms with facilities, operating and financing. It keeps an important position in whole process. However, there is no consistent guideline or model which helps evaluating the result of negotiation. It is difficult to apprise the quantitative outcome after executing negotiation. Thus, this study presented the Value Engineering -based process and model of estimating the outcome of negotiation for the purpose of estimating and verifying the result of negotiation objectively, Evaluating factors of negotiation were classified into 6 fields, 38 divisions and 135 items, focused on cultural facilities on BTL project. Weight of every factor was estimated, and quantitative checklist was established. This study presented the model which could measure the outcome of negotiation. This result would be a critical checklist before negotiation on BTL project, an index of feedback during negotiation, and also a standard of estimating the outcome after negotiation.

  • Recently, semantic web technology, represented by ontology building, is being combined with web services technology, creating 'Semantic Web Services' as a new promising field in information retrieval research. Accordingly, many brokering and matchmaking agents are being developed and used in the field. However, literature review revealed that most models do not take QoS(Quality of Services) into consideration. In this study, a QoS-augmented matchmaking algorithm is developed based on service availability, response time, maximum transaction amount, reliability, accessibility and price as critical QoS items. A prototype for Intelligent Semantic Web Services System is developed using publicly available data. Performance test was conducted and reported at the end.

  • As the use of GIS becomes more widespread, the quality and source of data is becoming more of a concern among users. But accuracy is a component of quality, and the positional accuracy is a component of total accuracy. If only we consider the positional accuracy, simultaneously collecting technology of location and attribute information, whether it be manually, using conventional surveying method, GPS, or remote sensing, is a practical way of insuring that location and attribute information are correctly correlated. This study analyse the positional accuracy from a view-point of user and supplier, which is the considerations that can ensure quality level and continuously maintain the road and underground utility information. The positional accuracy of road and underground utility information are considered as two categories - expected accuracy of data collection procedure, required accuracy of data usage process. And the project manager must consider the cost/benefit view of data generation in order to determine the surveying method.

Evaluation of STC schemes for future S-DMB services (차세대 위성 DMB 서비스에 대한 STC 방식의 성능)

  • Space-time codes (STC) can achieve the diversity gain in a multi-path environment without additional bandwidth requirement. Recent study results reported that satellite systems can also achieve this diversity gain by using space-time codes in a cooperative network with terrestrial repeaters. Due to uni-directional nature of satellite DMB services, transmit diversity can be considered as one of the most effective ways to improve the performance. In this paper, we demonstrate various simulations results of STC schemes which can contribute to improve performance of future satellite DMB services. The STC schemes introduced in this paper provides diversity gains by combing independent coded signal from the satellite as well as from the terrestrial repeaters. In addition, we discuss a few points which should be considered to develop and implement these STC schemes.

  • 본 논문은 C++에 분산 객체 프로그래밍 기능을 추가한 D++ 언어를 제안한다. 대등관계 복제객체 모델을 지원하는 D++는 분산 클래스의 정의, 멤버 함수의 일치성 제어 정의 기능, 그리고 영구 객체 이름에 기반한 분산 객체를 정의할 수 있는 언어 구조를 제공한다. D++ 프로그램에서 새로이 생성되는 분산 객체는 생성 시에 제공되는 객체의 영구 이름과 동일한 영구 이름을 갖는 분산 객체가 존재할 경우 해당 객체들과 복제 관계를 유지함으로써 정보를 공유한다. 각 복제 객체들은 서로 간에 대등한 관계를 가지며, 멤버 함수 정의 시에 기술되는 특성에 따라 일치성이 유지된다. 이 같은 D++의 분산 객체 모델은 실시간 그룹웨어의 기본 요구 사항인 분산 환경에서의 정보 공유 및 사건 공지 기능을 자연스럽게 해결해 주기 때문에 실시간 그룹웨어의 개발을 효율적으로 지원할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. Abstract This paper proposes D++ programming language that is an extension of C++ for distributed object oriented programming. The D++, which supports peer-to-peer object model, provides new language constructs for the definition of distributed classes, the definition of the consistency control of the member function and the definition of distributed object variables with the persistent name. In D++, when the persistent name of a newly created distributed object is same as that of an existing distributed object, the new distributed object replicates object state of the existing distributed object and thus they share the object state. The replicas have peer relation and the consistency among them is maintained according to the characteristic described on the definition of designated member functions. It is expected that D++ language increases efficiency in development of real-time groupware because the distributed object model of D++ naturally supports the information sharing and event notification that are the basic functions required when building real-time groupware.

  • 조직변혁(OT:Organizational Tranformation)은 Macro(거시적), Micro(미시 적), Meso(중간적) 관점과 사회적, 기술적 관점을 혼합하여 전체적으로 6가 지의 가능성을 갖는 영역을 생성할 수 있다. 최근 조직 설계와 관련된 많은 연구들은 급변하는 환경에 대한 조직의 반응으로써 기능 중심의 조직설계 대신 Meso관점의 프로세스 중심의 조직 설계를 통한 조직 변혁을 제안해 왔다. 프로세스 재설계 혹은 리엔지니어링과 같은 용어로 등장하는 이 관점 은 서로 다른 연구분야 사이의 상호 연계적 적용을 증가시키고 적절한 자원 할당 및 혼합을 가능하게 함으로써 고객요구와 경쟁력 같은 외부요구사항과 내부적 생산성등을 연계시키고자 한다. 프로세스 모델링은 프로세스 중심의 조직 설계를 통한 조직 변혁의 중요한 도구로 사용될 수 있다. 조직 변혁의 6개 영역과 프로세스의 구성요소 중 일부에만 관심을 갖는 기존의 프로세스 모델링 관점들-기능적 업무(task) 중심의 '기능 관점', 행위적 논리(logic) 중 심의 '행위 관점', 조직적 역할 (roles) 중심의 '조직 관점'-을 반영한 프로세 스 모델은 프로세스 수행목적의 표현과 프로세스 재설계의 기회 발견에 한 계가 있다. 본 연구에서는 프로세스 모델링 기법에 의해 표현되어야 하는 프 로세스 구성요소들을 5W1H를 기준으로 분류하고, 기존 모델링 관점들이 가 지는 한계점의 해결을 위해 두 가지의 새로운 프로세스 모델링 관점-프로세 스 목적과 가치를 표현하는 '정보 관점', 프로세스의 측정에 대한 계량적 정 보를 표현하는 '측정 관점'-을 제시하고, 조직 변혁이 여러 관점들의 통합을 지원하는 프로세스 모델링을 위한 개념적 틀(MPPM)과 프로세스 모델에서 표현되어야 하는 프로세스 구성요소들을 제시하였다.용자 만족도가 보다 높은 것으 로 나타났다. 할 수 있는 효율적인 distributed system를 개발하는 것을 제시하였다. 본 논문은 데이타베이스론의 입장에서 아직 정립되어 있지 않은 분산 환경하에서의 관계형 데이타베이스의 데이타관리의 분류체계를 나름대로 정립하였다는데 그 의의가 있다. 또한 이것의 응용은 현재 분산데이타베이스 구축에 있어 나타나는 기술적인 문제점들을 어느정도 보완할 수 있다는 점에서 그 중요성이 있다.ence of a small(IxEpc),hot(Tex> SOK) core which contains two tempegatlue peaks at -15" east and north of MDS.   • Recently, studies of integrated management platform and performance-based maintenance decision-marking systems have proceeded to the efficient management of port facilities. The purpose of this study was to manage and operate port facilities based on performance and to provide long-term durability and budgetary execution. Thus, it is essential to secure basic data to be analyzed in an integrated platform and decision-marking system. This study derived the data linkage measures to secure port facility design and management information. The target of deriving the data linkage was the POMS (Port Facility Management System) currently in operation by the MOF (Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries). To derive data linkage, analyze the database of POMS and select the data required for the operation-integrated platform and decision-marking system. The final data linkage target was determined by compiling the requirements of the relevant experts and selecting the final target of three groups (port and facility information, management information, and user information). As a result, the API interface design was prepared for detailed linked data and data linkage framework between the linkage data of POMS. The provision of real-time data linkage between POMS and integrated platform is expected to improve the operational efficiency of the integrated platform.
