Comparative Evaluation of Formulas of Strength Reduction Factors for the Generation of an Inelastic Demand Spectrum (비탄성요구스펙트럼의 작성을 위한 강도감소계수 공식의 비교 평가)

  • The shape of an inelastic demand spectrum may have a major impact on the seismic evaluation results of a structure. The inelastic demand spectrum could be obtained by scaling down from the elastic response spectrum by applying the strength reduction factor (SRF). This study has investigated formulas for SRFs that were suggested by numerous previous studies. This paper compares their characteristics, including the shapes of the curves of the SRFs and the inelastic demand spectra that were produced by applying the various formulas for SRFs. The mean curve was computed from the SRF curves generated by the various formulas. This study derives a new formula for the SRF curve through regression analysis. From the comparative study, it is shown that the proposed formula for the SRF can generate the mean curve of the inelastic demand spectra which have been previously suggested by others.

  • 실측범위 이상의 수위에 해당하는 유량을 산정하기 위해서는 적절한 고수위 외삽 수위-유량관계곡선식의 추정 기준 및 방법이 필요하나 분석을 위한 측정 자료가 절대적으로 부족하고 이에 대한 폭넓은 연구가 미흡하여 실무에서 적용하기에는 많은 어려움이 있었다. 따라서 본 연구를 통하여 정확한 고수위 외삽 수위-유량관계곡선식의 작성을 위한 새로운 방법을 제시하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 방법을 다양한 경우의 실제 하천에 적용하여 그 타당성 및 적용성을 검증하여 보았고, 기존의 Stevens방법과 비교했을 때 매우 정확하고 안정적인 외삽곡선식을 추정할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 제시한 방법은 기존 방법들에 비해 외삽곡선식 추정을 위해 요구되는 자료의 양이 적은 반면 정확도는 높아 실무적용 시 매우 활용성이 높을 것으로 판단된다.

  • This paper presents a variation method of the parent ship using sectional area curve & the definition of NURBS curve. That is, global variation of the hull form is made systematically by the geometrical property of sectional area curve, and Local variation of the hull form is executed by the definition of NURBS curve. Then the designer may determine New hull form considering New section area curve, design condition, etc.

  • 곡선 구간에 복합 해저관로를 설치하기 위해서는 한 개의 관로를 설치하는데 필요한 설계 및 장치보다 더 많은 상황들을 고려해야 한다. 본 논문은 두 개의 복합 해저관로를 설치하는데 필요한 각종 설치 설계 및 장치 설계를 비롯하여 개발된 특수 장치들을 소개한다. 두 개의 해저관로의 외경은 30 inch, 두께는 17.5 mm, 콘크리트 코팅은 70mm이고 3.007km의 노선 중 약 1km가 곡선 구간이다. 최대 수심은 34m이고 약 7.5m의 조수간만의 차를 갖고 있는 지역이다. 해저 곡선구간에는 18개의 해저 가이드 파일을 설치하여 곡선부에서 요구되는 반경을 확보하였다.

  • While transforming the inelastic system into the equivalent elastic one gives an advantage of simpler analysis, the actual inelastic behavior of the system is hardly modeled in the capacity spectrum method (CSM). Therefore, the accuracy of CSM depends on the precise estimation of equivalent period and damping ratio as well as the modification of the elastic response spectrum and the corresponding demand spectrum. In this paper, the effect of demand spectrums on the accuracy of CSM is evaluated. First, the response reduction factors provided in ATC-40 and Euro Code are evaluated. Numerical analysis results indicated that the acceleration responses obtained using the factor of Euro Code are closer to the actual response than those obtained using the factors of ATC-40. Next, the accuracy of CSM is evaluated constructing the demand spectrum using the absolute acceleration responses and pseudo acceleration responses. The results obtained using the absolute acceleration responses were found to be generally larger than those obtained using the pseudo ones. Since CSM often underestimates the response, the use of absolute acceleration response gives the response relatively closer to the exact ones. However, the difference becomes negligible as the hardening ratio and the yield strength ratio become larger.

  • 무선 인터넷 통신은 유선 인터넷 통신보다 더욱 정보 노출이 쉬운 상태여서 강도 높은 보안 솔루션이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 무선 인터넷의 암호 시스템을 위해, 키 길이가 짧아 처리 속도가 빠른 타원 곡선 알고리즘을 사용한 신뢰된 파티가 없는 쓰레시홀드 암호시스템을 제안한다. 따라서 제안한 시스템은 타원 곡선 알고리즘 사용으로 휴대 단말기 용량 한계에 부딪혔던 WPKI(Wireless Public Key Infrastructure) 서비스를 개선할 수 있으며, 신뢰된 파티를 보장할 수 없는 무선 인터넷 통신에서 안전한 그룹 통신을 할 수 있게 된다. 또한 제안한 시스템은 다양한 타원 곡선을 활용할 수 있는 타원 곡선 암호시스템 장점으로 다양한 암호시스템 설계가 가능하다는 것이 증명되었다.

  • Navigation in 3D virtual environment(VE) is very difficult because the virtual environment is lack information than real 3D world. So navigation is import research subject in 3D VE. In this paper, we study tour path setting method using spline curve. The spline curve is augmented polynomial function. So the curve is differentiable. In particular, since the curves which are order of 2 and 3 are second order differentiable those are sufficiently smooth for using the computer graphics and CAD system.

  • Fast curve generation is one of important techniques which facilitate fast process of computer graphics applications. It is possible to resolve the task through hardware or software. But rapid development of computer graphics area need methods for more fast generation of curves. This paper propose a algorithm (called CDAUD), which computes the coordinates of points on curve only with add operations using for ward differences and draw the curve fast. It also contains the method for generation of smooth and fully connected curves. Time complexity of CDAUD shows that it is superior than the existing method for constrained case, and it's superiority was validated through experimental implementation.

  • for shortening of running time on existing line, speed up railways feel strongly the necessity of it, for fully realizing a role of transportation system, for human life style is high. and increasing of time value. Especially curved lines zone have crucial effects on the speed of train, in case the shortening of running time, it is thought, speed up in curved lines zone, considering a character of route alignment in korea, we obtain saving time using lateral force index for safety running of train and comfortable ride of passengers. The results of this study show that all curved zone improvements for the shortening of the train running time more efficiently than extension of transition curve.
