This study discussed a sketch map and planar figure, classical contents in math curriculum of Korea. Two problems were posed. One was the degree of difficulty and ambiguous intentions of some contents in 5th grade math textbook of 2009 revised curriculum. The other was the status of sketch maps and planar figures in more general view. We looked into elementary mathematics textbooks of former Korean national curriculums and other countries to discuss the problems. The reason why the present Korean textbook has such contents was considered, based on the result of searching former Korean and foreign textbooks. The suggestions in view of expression and building of 3D shapes were also talked.

우리나라는 2013년 5월 15일 "북극이사회"의 영구옵서버 자격을 취득하였으며, 2013년 후반기 국적선박을 북극해 항로에 투입 할 예정인 시점에서 한국해양수산연수원은 국내 Ice Navigator 교육시장 선점과 세계적 교육기관으로 도약을 하기 위하여 Ice Navigation Training교육과정을 개설준비 하고 있다. 이를 위하여 북극해 항해기술, 극지 안전훈련, 북극해 최신 동향, 러시아의 북극해 정책, 통과절차 및 외국선박의 운항사례분석 등을 통하고, Ice Navigation Training 교육과정(Familiarization(친숙화), Professional(상급), Practical(직무), Crew Management등)이 이미 개설되어 있는 Russia Admiral Makarov State Maritime Academy측 교수진의 연수원 파견 및 한국적 선박의 북극해항로(North Sea Route, NSR) 통과시 승선실습이 가능할 수 있도록 협조를 요청 할 예정이며, 교육인증을 위한 협력(Makarov Academy측으로부터 교육과정에 대한 인증)도 추진 중이다. 이에 준비한 교육개발을 소개하고자 한다.

In this paper we check over some problems in College Scholastic Ability Test(CSAT) Mathematics section and propose some methods to improve the CSAT Mathematics section. CSAT has been changed several times with the change of the school curriculum. A Mathematics amended curriculum will apply in 2009 and we have to reorganize the system of CSAT. We investigate the changes in school curriculum and system of CSAT. Also we make a comparative study of the range of possible questions of CSAT with those of SAT and foreign national entrance exam for college.

Through this research, scope and education level of Record Management in Korea were considered, and education purpose, general guidance. curriculum of Record Management in Korea were suggested. Improved qualifications for Record Management Professionals were also suggested.

우리나라에서 컴퓨터 교과는 아직 교육내용 뿐만 아니라 교과로써의 체계마저도 불분명하다. 지금까지 학교 컴퓨터 교육은 정보통신기술교육이라는 이론으로 양적 팽창에만 치중해 왔으며 초등학교에서는 재량 활동으로 컴퓨터 교육을 의무화 하고 있지만 그 학습 내용은 교사의 재량에 의해 편중되는 경향을 보여 국민공동기본교육의 목적에 충분히 부합하지 못한다. 본 연구는 컴퓨터 교육의 효율성을 증대하고자 초등학교에서 컴퓨터를 독립교과로 적용할 것을 제안하기 위한 사전 연구이다. 본 연구에서는 실제 교육현장에서 컴퓨터 교육을 정보통신기술교육의 교육과정, 컴퓨터 재량활동, 실과의 컴퓨터 관련단원으로 분석 대상을 나누어 문제점 알아보고, 교사와 아동을 대상으로 한 실태 조사를 동해 이를 검증하였으며, 외국의 컴퓨터 교육과정의 운영과 비교하고 교사와 아동의 요구에 부합하도록 현실성 있는 개선방안을 제시하였다.

이 연구는 케냐 해양대학 항해학과 교과과정의 개발을 위해 다음과 같은 다양한 연구들이 수행되었다. 먼저 2장에서 케냐의 교육 및 환경 여건을 살펴보기 위해 케냐의 전반적인 상황과 JKUAT 및 동 대학 기관공학과의 교과과정을 살펴보았다. 이어 3장에서는 항해학과 교과과정의 표준으로 삼아야 할 IMO STCW 협약 해기교육요건과 IMO 모델 코스를 살펴보았다. 이어 4장에서는 항해학과 교과과정의 개발에 참고하기 위해 모범적인 해기교육을 실시하고 있는 미국의 USMMA와 CMA, 필리핀의 PMMA와 MAAP, 한국의 한국해양대학교, 중국의 대련해사대학교, 그리고 베트남의 VIMARU와 HCMUT의 교과과정을 각각 살펴보았다. 마지막으로 5장에서는 이상의 검토 결과를 토대로 케냐 해양대학의 항해학과 교과과정을 제시하였다.

In this paper it is considered that international students who are studying at Korean universities have difficulty in completing their studies while adjusting to Korean university life. The reason for this is that most international students enter university but they are lack of liberal arts knowledge such as Korean language skills and foundation studies necessary for their major studies. However, most universities focus on teaching Korean language as a liberal arts course for international students. Therefore It suggests that the most important and urgent required is for international students to improve their liberal arts knowledge as well as their Korean language skills. Furthermore, this paper argues order for international students who do not have enough liberal arts such as Korean language proficiency or basic science to study successfully, a systematic liberal arts curriculum and teaching methods for international students should be presented and applied in the field. Accordingly, this paper shows an example of the class operated by applying the knowledge-based Korean language teaching method to the cultural class, which is a dedicated subjects for international students, and proved its effectiveness.

The number of International college students has dramatically increased in Korea since 2000 as the government has made a consistent effort to draw in international students to strengthen the competitiveness of higher education and to improve the international balance of payments. An increase of incoming international students help Korean universities solve a current problem of decreasing student numbers and bring financial benefits. However, not much is known about their intentions and decision-making process. This study tries to investigate their immigration process and backgrounds that have not yet been dealt with seriously in academic areas. The immigration process can be divided into 3 steps - pre-immigration, settlement and adaptation, post-immigration. Characteristic of each step related to a main decision-making are investigated in the paper. Their decision for studying in Korea depends on various factors and conditions. Especially, economical, personal, and vocational factors or motives in combination influence their decision-making at each step.

This research assumes two facts; One is that the mathematics curriculum reform of Korea in 2007 would have been better if it had been a revise instead of deletion and the other is that every school curriculum should be of help for the sound enhancement of all 6 types of logical concepts that appears in the Piaget's theory of cognitive development. What our mathematics curriculum has introduced as a correlation is not the one of the 6 logical concepts that Piaget had thought in his theory of cognitive development. In order to see the reason of that difference, we check the difference of jargons among the academic denominations, such as Pedagogy, Psychology and Statistics through their college textbooks. Because we suppose that the mismatch of 'Piaget's vs Curriculum's correlation' is due to the mis-communication among scholars of different academic denominations. With what we learned via the above analytical study leaned on an abduction and to get some idea on them for the potential future construction of school Statistics curriculum when it should be returned, which we believe so, we observe two foreign highschool mathematics textbooks briefly. As a result of the study, we found that the concept of correlation in Pedagogy contain all kinds of relation while it was stingy in Statistics. Here we report a main result; A careful discretion among similar concepts of correlation, such as linear relationship(correlation), stochastic change along conditions(dependence), central comparison(other relation) are needed for the potential future curriculum. And if new curriculum contains the linear correlation then we strongly recommend to involve the regression line to connect it with the linear function chapter.

과학을 어려워하는 어린이들에게 테크놀로지 교육은 학습자가 직접 로봇을 제작, 프로그래밍, 실행해 봄으로써 게임을 즐기듯 재미있게 참여하면서 창의적인 사고 능력과 문제 해결능력을 길러주는데 효과적이다. 본 논문은 현재 실시되고 있는 외국의 로봇교육과정을 살펴보고, 우리나라 초등학교 수준에 맞는 테크놀로지 교육과정을 수준별로 구성하였다. 이를 통해 학습자로 하여금 역동적인 상호작용을 이끌어 냄으로써, 논리적이고 비판적인 사고 능력 함양은 물론, 창의적이고 자기 주도적 문제해결능력 신장을 도모하고자 하였다.
