  • The ultimate goal of this study is to investigate the cases with respect to smart factory that has been introduced by German government. To do this, the study suggest implications for manufacturing version 3.0 that is one of manufacturing revolution agendas in Korea. The main point of smart factory is the convergence between manufacturing and information and communications technologies such as CPS(Cyber-Physical Systems), MES(Manufacturing Execution Systems), 3D Printer, AI(Artificial Intelligence), and so forth. It is hard to accomplish a complete manufacturing automation. In fact, German government had experienced the failure in pursuing the smart factory agenda. But now the agenda is gradually realized by a variety of success stories from German. Thus, this study is to investigate the well-known success stories that came from German.

A Study on the Development of Pavement Crack Recognition Algorithm Using Artificial Neural Network (신경망 학습 기법을 이용한 도로면 크랙 인식 알고리즘 개발에 관한 연구)

  • Crack sealing automation machines' have been continually developed since the early 1990's because of the effectiveness of crack sealing that would be able to improve safety, quality and productivity. It has been considered challenging problem to detect crack network in pavement which includes noise (oil marks, skid marks, previously sealed cracks and inherent noise). It is required to develop crack network mapping and modeling algorithm in order to accurately inject sealant along to the middle of cut crack network. The primary objective of this study is to propose a crack network mapping and modeling algorithm using neural network for improving the accuracy of the algorithm used in the APCS. It is anticipated that the effective use of the proposed algorithms would be able to reduce error rate in image processing for detecting, mapping and modeling crack network as well as improving quality and productivity compared to existing vision algorithms.

  • The production of larger of ships is a survival strategy for global shipping companies to pursue the economics of scale. According to this strategy, to respond to this situation, many containers are loading/unloading simultaneously in the hub port. Additionally, the container terminals are promoting the introduction of automation to expand the terminal facilities and increase efficiency/productivity of the container yards. European ports have introduced automation to address rising labor costs and shortages of labor. Recently, the construction of fully automated container terminals is increasing in the United States and China to resolve problems such as the slow growth of the global economy, the emergence of large ships, air pollution, and safety accidents. Domestic ports are at an early stage compared to the world's advanced container terminals, and countermeasures are being prepared to respond to the changing ports. However, research on the recognition difference analysis that examines the opinions of stakeholders is insufficient. As a result of analyzing the recognition among the groups, it was found that container terminal operators reduced labor costs, improved shipping services for shipping companies, prevented safety accidents for port union labor, and increased service for port authority and government agencies. Thus, to closely examine the perception among the groups, one-way ANOVA was performed, and then the implications were deduced as the basic data for the smooth introduction of automation.

  • Construction of automated terminal it urgently demanded to gain the foundation of hub-port in north east Asia. Therefore we suggest an adequate operating system layout of automated terminal in Korea. In this paper the aim of automated terminal operating system is satisfied. four basic models are divided according to moving course of export and import cargo of each automated equipments, several input data are changed and analyzed dynamically by Trial and Error method, and then an optimized operating system model is selected, and designed for yard operating system layout on the basis of the selected model. Particularly, the productivity of automated port is up to the kind of automated equipments. However, because expense and present work process must be considered actually. In order to prevent confusion of the work, the method to optimize the present work and substitute prevent equipments and automated equipments was designed. It is a premise that ail the yard equipments described in this paper must be automatic except quay crane.

The primary objective of this study is to propose machine vision algorithms (digital image processing algorithm and path planning algorithm) for fully automated pavement crack sealing. It is anticipated that the effective use of the proposed machine vision algorithms would be able to reduce error rate in image processing for detecting, mapping and modeling crack network as well as improving quality and productivity compared to existing vision algorithms.

  • 전기도금공장 ANODE 투입 및 추출 자동화 사업은 ANODE 자동투입 Robot이 개발되어 적용되기전까지는 국내에서 적용된 사례가 전혀 없었고 선진제철소에서 일부 적용된 사례가 있는 것으로만 알고 추진되었던 사업이다. 이번에 개발하여 현장에 적용한 ANODE 자동투입 robot은 가반중량이 300kg이나 되는 이동형 특수 robot으로 국산화개발품이지만 성능의 신뢰성이 입증되지 않는 상태에서 추진되었기 때문에 위험 부담성이 컸으며 완전자동화가 되기까지 많은 시행착오를 겪었다. 시행착오의 주요원인으로는 현장여건 즉 설비의 간섭, FUME에 의한 robot의 고장 또한 robot 자체의 설계 miss등 무수히 많았다. 이번 ANODE 자동투입 robot 개발 및 현장 적용으로 향후 확대 적용시 시행착오에 의한 문제점을 최소화 할수 있는 대책을 수립할수 있는 좋은 기회가 주여져 96.12.E 준공을 목표로 2차분 ANODE투입 자동화 사업이 진행중에 있으며 1차분과 시스템을 통합하여 보다 완벽한 자동화시스템을 구축할 예정이며 97년도에는 포항제철소로 확대 적용할 예정이다.

  • 인건비 상승으로 여러 치킨 프렌차이즈 업체들이 무인 자동화 치킨 조리기를 개발을 진행하고 있으나, 포스와의 연동이 미흡하여 완전한 무인 자동화 치킨 조리기로 완성이 되고 있지 않은 실정이다. 그리고 포스 정보는 이더넷 기반으로 다수의 명령 전달에 대해 반영이 되어 있지 않아 다수의 데이터로 병목현상이 발생하여 지연시간이 증가하는 문제점을 보유 하고 있으며, 추가 네트워크 장치로 인해 기존에 구축된 안정적인 환경을 해칠 수 있는 우려가 있다. 그래서 본 논문에서는 기존 포스 정보 데이터를 수집하여 치킨 조리기에 데이터를 전송할 수 있는 유무선 통신모듈과 통신 모듈 추가로 인해 발생할 수 있는 문제 해결이 가능한 데이터 교환 프로토콜을 제안한다.

  • 부산항 신항 서컨테이너터미널은 선박 대형화와 완전 무인 자동화부두 구축이라는 설계컨셉에 따라 접안 가능한 최대선박은 3만 TEU 선박으로 결정하고 그에 따라 제반 시설들의 규격을 증대하였으며, 상부 자동화 설비들의 운영에 지장이 발생하지 않도록 대형 유수실, 월파차단벽 등의 침수 방지시설과 크레인 및 AGV구간 부등침하 방지를 위해 41.5m의 광폭케이슨과 176m의 광폭 DCM기초를 적용하고, 최신 설계기준에 의거한 내진 I 등급 구조물로 계획하는 등 안전하고 이용성이 뛰어난 컨테이너 터미널이 구축되도록 하였다.
