This study was to suggest the problems and the improvement plan of Digital Library System (DLS) which has solved the library management and has supported the data building for resource sharing in school libraries since 2001. The 9 DLS committees were interviewed about the current situation of DLS use and the problems of DLS system in the 6 areas of acquisition, cataloging, circulation and discharge, inventory, library statistics, and searching interface as the research methods. Based on the interviews, the improvement plans were suggested as followed. In acquisition, it was to need the acquisition system development and online purchase for users. In cataloging, the improvement of data quality management, and indexes and vocabularies control for upgrade of searching function were needed. The advanced circulation speed in circulation, the restoration of discarded data in inventory and the exact statistic data in library statistics were need to improve the DLS. This study would contribute to the betterment of DLS and increase the use of DLS.

In order to increase the utilization of the computing resources, universities connect a variety of computing resources such as mainframes, workstations, and personal computers via LAN. However, due to management and security reasons, most administrative applications are concentrated on mainframes which is the main cause of large work overload on mainframes for such applications as on-line course registration system where the entire student body must have access to the system during a short period of time. In this study, using a university system as the model and choosing on-line course registration system as the targeted distributed computing. APPC through IBM SNALU 6.2 link is proposed as the most appropriate means of distributed computing for the environment of the model university. In addition, the on-line course registration system is redesigned as client-server model where a mainframe serves as the file server responsible for file input and output and workstations becomes the client. Actual implementation and experiments have shown that the proposed distributed computing system yields a significant reduction in processing time.

본 논문에서 소개할 온라인 앨범 사이트는 텍스트 기반의 이미지 검색과 색상 기반 검색이 가능한 검색 엔진을 갖추었다. 기존의 검색 엔진들은 매우 단순한 키워드 매칭만을 통하여 이미지를 검색하여 그 결과 이미지와 사용자가 찾고자 하는 이미지 사이의 유사성이 낮은 경우가 많았다. SUMMIT(Sejong University MultiMedia Information Technology)은 등록된 각 사용자에게 개별 공간을 할당하여 사용자가 스스로 원하는 이미지를 업로드하거나 다운로드하게 한다. 또한, 각 사용자는 자신이 구성한 앨범 내에서의 키워드 검색과 내용기반 검색을 수행할 수 있으며 다른 사용자가 공개한 이미지나 시스템 데이터베이스에 저장된 이미지까지 포함한 포괄적인 검색 결과도 획득할 수 있다. 본 시스템은 각 사용자별 페이지 내에서의 검색이 가능하므로 검색의 정확도와 활용도를 높일 수 있다. 사용자는 SUMMIT에 올린 이미지나 타인이 공개한 이미지를 자신 혹은 기타 홈페이지에 직접 하이퍼링크할 수 있으며 어느 페이지에서도 같은 이미지 링크 태그를 사용할 수 있다는 용이함도 취할 수 있다.

Open Science is evolving not only to share research results, but also to open the research process. We are developing the EDISON platform for the spread of open science in computational science and engineering. The EDISON platform provides online simulation services developed by computational science and engineering researchers. It also provides an environment for sharing source code, data, and related research publications. An effective simulation software registration management system is required for successful service on the EDISON platform. In this paper, we proposes a simulation software management system to provide online simulation service through EDISON platform. The proposed system allows the developer to register the simulation software on the EDISON platform without administrator intervention and effectively build a web-based simulation environment.

With the development of ICT technology and the promotion of smartphone penetration, purchasing services that purchase various products through online market are being activated. In particular, due to advances in storage and delivery technology, sales of short food materials can be purchased online. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an integrated solution that enables advertisement effect, ordering and delivery through a purchase service even if there is no sales knowledge and sales network in a small shopping mall where only offline sales can be performed. The proposed system is able to efficiently view the product information by category through image search for the product that the user desires, so that the seller of the registered product can efficiently sell without any additional advertisement.

This paper proposes a two-phase server login authentication system by XML-Signature schema extension to protect server's information resources opened on network which offer various web contents. A proposed system requests and publishes XML-based certificate through on-line, registers certificate extension information provided by CA(Certification Authority) to XCMS(XML Certificate Management Server), and performs prior authentication using user's certificate password. Then, it requests certificate extension information added by user besides user's certificate password and certificate extension information registered in XCMS by using SOAP message, and performs posterior authentication by comparing these certificate extension information. As a result, a proposed system is a security reinforced system compared with existing systems.

With the continuously increasing volume of e-commerce transactions, it is now popular to buy some products and to evaluate them on the World Wide Web. The product reviews are very useful to customers because they can make better decisions based on the indirect experiences obtainable through the reviews. Product Reviews are results expressing customer's sentiments and thus are divided into positive reviews and negative ones. However, as the number of reviews in on-line shopping increases, it is inefficient or sometimes impossible for users to read all the relevant review documents. In this paper, we present a sentiment analysis algorithm for automatically classifying subjective opinions of customer's reviews using opinion mining technology. The proposed algorithm is to focus on product reviews of on-line shopping, and provides summarized results from large product review data by determining whether they are positive or negative. Additionally, this paper introduces an automatic review analysis system implemented based on the proposed algorithm, and also present the experiment results for verifying the efficiency of the algorithm.

오늘날 수많은 사람들이 각자의 직업상이나 개인생활에 랩탑PC, 휴대전화, PDA 및 MP3 같은 여러 가지 휴대장비를 갖고 다니는 것이 일반적인 실정이다. 이들 장비들은 대개 분리하여 따로 사용되는데 이는 어플리케이션이 상호작용하지 않음을 의미하는 것이다. 그러나 이들이 하나의 시스템으로 통합되어 상호작용될 수 있다고 가정해 본다면 : 회의참석자들간에 문서나 발표자료를 공유하고; 명함내용을 랩탑PC의 주소등록 및 이동전화의 번호등록기에 자동기록하며; 통근자가 전차에서 내리면 랩탑PC가 온라인상태를 유지하고; 마찬가지로 수신되는 e-mail이 각자의 PDA로 전송되고; 마지막으로 사무실에 들어서면 자동적으로 사내무선망을 통하여 모든 통신의 경로가 지정되는 것이다. 이러한 예는 자연적으로 생성되는 장비간의 임시(Ad Hoc)무선통신을 ad hoc 망 구성이라고 부르는데 기간망을 거치지 않고 언제 어디서나 자기의 장비와 통신연락을 설정해 주는 것이다. 실제로 이 망 구성은 새로운 것은 아니지만 장치, 사용방법 및 이용자는 다르다. 과거의 임시 망 개념은 흔히 전쟁터와 재난지역의 통신과 관련되었다. 그러나 현재는 블루투스 같은 신기술의 중요성이 구체화됨에 따라 임시 망 구성 시나리오가 변화를 보이고 있다. 본 기사에서는 임시 망의 배경을 설명하고 기술적인 현안들을 제시하면서 임시망이 어떻게 구성되는지 그 개념을 설명하고자 한다.

Fingerprint Recognition System is made up of Off-line treatment and On-line treatment; the one is registering all the information of there trier features which are retrieved in the digitalized fingerprint getting out of the analog fingerprint through the fingerprint acquisition device and the other is the treatment making the decision whether the users are approved to be accessed to the system or not with matching them with the fingerprint features which are retrieved and database from the input fingerprint when the users are approaching the system to use. In this paper, Among various biometrics recognition systems, statistical fingerprint recognition matching methods are considered using minutiae on fingerprints. We define similarity distance measures based on the coordinate and angle of the minutiae, and suggest a fingerprint recognition model following statistical distributions.

In this paper, we propose a new data structure, called Union and Division, for processing binarized digital fingerprint image efficiently. We present a minutiae extraction algorithm that is using Union and Division and consists of binarization, noise removal, minutiae extraction stages.
