Field Application of Low Heat Concrete Using Strontium Hydroxide Based Latent Heat Material (스트론튬계 잠열재를 사용한 저발열 콘크리트의 현장적용 평가)

  • Low heat concrete using strontium hydroxide based latent heat material was manufactured in ready-mixed concrete batcher plant and its fundamental properties were tested. As a result of B/P test, its applicability to the construction site was verified. After B/P test, low heat concrete using strontium hydroxide based latent heat material was applied to the real construction site of bridge footing. Through the analysis and the actual measurement of the hydration heat of the concrete footing, the reduction effect of hydration heat and thermal crack was confirmed.

  • In the current study, retarding type and standard type admixture design of concrete have been proposed to control the generation of hydration heat for foundation members that use high strengths concrete. Finite element analysis also has been conducted to understand the rational placing heights of concrete. In addition, real-size structures have experimented and their results were compared to the analytical results to evaluate the reducing effect of thermal stress. For a large $6.5m{\times}6.5m{\times}3.5m$ member with retarding and standard type horizontal partition placement of concrete showed the manageable possibility of temperature difference within 25-degree Celcius between the middle and surface portion while the maximum temperature was 77-degree Celcius. Also, temperature cracking index from the finite element analysis appeared to be 1.49 that predicts no formation of cracking due to the effects of temperature. Finally, it appeared that horizontal partition placement of retarding and standard type concrete has the significant effect of reducing the thermal stress that generated by the hydration heat in the high strengths mass concrete.

Temperature-Aware Microprocessor Design for Floating-Point Applications (부동소수점 응용을 위한 저온도 마이크로프로세서 설계)

  • Dynamic Thermal Management (DTM) technique is generally used for reducing the peak temperature (hotspot) in the microprocessors. Despite the advantages of lower cooling cost and improved stability, the DTM technique inevitably suffers from performance loss. This paper proposes the DualFloating-Point Adders Architecture to minimize the performance loss due to thermal problem when the floating-point applications are executed. During running floating-point applications, only one of two floating-point adders is used selectively in the proposed architecture, leading to reduced peak temperature in the processor. We also propose a new floorplan technique, which creates Space for Heat Transfer Delay in the processor for solving the thermal problem due to heat transfer between adjacent hot units. As a result, the peak temperature drops by $5.3^{\circ}C$ on the average (maximum $10.8^{\circ}C$ for the processor where the DTM is adopted, consequently giving a solution to the thermal problem. Moreover, the processor performance is improved by 41% on the average by reducing the stall time due to the DTM.

  • The main source of bridge destruction is due to scour. The bridge scour is the result of erosive action of flowing water taking away ground materials from near the abutment or pier. Furthermore, the water level must be also monitored whiling flooding, because it dangers not only the stability of bridge itself, but the safety of bridge users. This study is intended to develop a new measuring system for bridge scour by overcoming the current limitation of scour measurement technique. This measuring system is confirmed its excellence and validity through this study. The newly developed measuring system finds the distance between the water surface and the ground surface by detecting temperature difference along the abutment vertically. The measuring mechanism for monitoring the bridge scour and water level is based on identifying the temperature difference among mediums, including air, water and ground. In order to validate the new measuring system, the lab experiments and the field tests are conducted and compared. It has been confirmed that this system can effectively measure the bridge scour and the water level by analyzing the temperature distribution between mediums and the temperature variation over time.

  • 크리스마스를 상징하는 화려한 포인세티아는 겨울철의 대표적인 분화이다. 포인세티아 수요는 매년 괄목할 만한 성장을 하여 겨울 꽃시장의 주요 상품으로서 자리 매김을 하고 있지만 그동안 외국 품종에 대한 높은 로열티 지불로 화훼농가 경영에 큰 부담이 되었다. 농촌진흥청에서는 포인세티아 신품종을 육성, 보급하여 로열티 경감과 화훼농가의 안정적인 소득 증대를 위해 노력하고 있다. 포인세티아는 단일성 식물로 보통 자연일장이 줄어드는 10월부터 이듬해 3월 중순까지 꽃눈을 형성한다. 이 시기는 일장단축과 함께 온도도 영향을 미치며 일장조절에 의한 연중출하가 가능하다. 겨울철 출하를 목표로 재배중인 포인세티아는 적정 온도유지, 환기에 의한 습도관리, 병해충 방제 등 환경관리에 특별히 유의해야 한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 지그비 기반의 컴퓨팅 기술이 혼합된, 난방 보일러 제어시스템을 제안한다. 지그비 RF 기술과 임베디드 하드웨어 기술의 조합을 통하여, 주택 및 아파트 등에서 각 방별로 온도 및 습도를 취합하여 난방을 관리할 수 있다. 또한 제안된 시스템은 체감온도 기반으로 난방을 관리하여 인간에게 쾌적한 환경을 제공하기 위한 최적의 선택이라 할 수 있다.

  • 최근 친환경 교통수단중 하나인 전기자동차 보급을 위한 정부정책이 강화되고, 관련연구개발 및 시범사업, 실증이 이루어지고 있다. 하지만 아직까지 국내에서는 본격적인 전기자동차 생산단계에 이르지 못하고 있고, 전기자동차 배터리에 전력을 공급하는 충전인프라 구축도 미흡한 실정이다. 전기자동차와 충전인프라는 마치 일반자동차와 주유소와의 관계와 비슷하여 전기자동차 운행을 위해 충전인프라 구축은 필수적이다. 그런데 보통 충전인프라는 전력계통, 충전기와 운영시스템 등으로 구분할 수 있다. 이 가운데 충전기는 전력을 계통으로부터 수전 받아 차량의 배터리에 공급하는 역할을 담당하며, 특히 급속 충전기의 경우 380V, 85의 교류전력을 수전하여 최대 110A, 450V 직류를 공급하는 관계로 충전 중 내부온도관리가 중요하다. 이를 관리하기 위해 적절한 냉방설비 확보, 충전전력 조정 혹은 발열원(부품) 개선 등의 방법이 있으며 이에 관해 상세히 논해보고자 한다.

  • 몰드변압기는 유입변압기와 달리 구조적으로 복잡하고 밀폐된 구조로 되어 있어서 사용기간 동안 고신뢰성을 확보하기 위해서 예방진단기술이 필요하다. 그러나 공장이나 빌딩 현장에서 몰드변압기의 열화상태 관리하는 방법은 온도관리, 소음진동관리 등의 수준으로 활선상태에서 사고를 예측하기에는 많은 한계가 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하고자 본 논문에서는 몰드변압기의 부분방전 측정을 중심으로 활선상태에서 열화 진단기술이 중요하다. 특히, 몰드변압기의 절연열화 진단을 위해서 상호보완적인 측정방법이 필요하고, 몰드변압기의 절연상태의 유무를 판정할 수 있는 분석방법을 개발하고자 하였다.

  • In this paper, studied condenser operating management which is affecting power plants efficiency considering the cost of poor quality. Sea water temperature and condenser pressure have clear correlation in S power plants. As the sea water temperature changes, condenser pressure changed -1.7~+20 mmHg from design condenser pressure(38.1 mmHg). Use the heat rate correction curve from manufactory company, realized that efficiency and cost of poor quality changed 0.0201%, 12,830 won/h at Unit #1,2 but 0.0155%, 9,832 won/h when condenser pressure 1 mmHg rise. Also, checked that it is changed depend on seasonal corresponding operation, plant ageing and the point of preventive maintenance like overhaul maintenance. This study said if we considered complying with management range and planning overhaul maintenance, then it could help reducing operating maintenance losses minimum 2.5 billion won per 1 year (case : Unit #1, forty days maintenance).

  • The significant of continuous welded rail (CWR) management is growing because KORAIL has the plan to convert the whole of conventional railway lines into CWRs through continuous activities since constructed the CWR track with 1.8km in Gyeongbu line in 1966. The CWR recently is needed a efficient management method because it is difficult to manage the CWR by the poor of technic and equipment, limited maintain labor force and shorted the maintain work time of CWR caused by industrialization, greenhouse effect and global warming In this point, The 70ton Tenser's which is using in the rail site has been analysised with no extra tenser's capacity in case of the under low temperature and exceed the length of 1km as a result of reviewing the CWR-related rules and standards, a series of records of safety accidents, operation obstacles, and the situation of broken rails published by KORAIL, existing rail temperature measurements, and CWR researches. Therefore avoid the excessive plan of the first set-up section, choice the proper time in the normal temperature that is possible to weld the rail, turning the difference of rail temperature and Installation temperature down is desirable.
