This study is the research about Okcheonjeong(玉泉亭) located in the backyard of Namhansanseong(南漢山城)'s temporary palace(行宮). Okcheonjeong was not only built by a government inside Namhansanseong but it was also representative garden which is shown the culture of the nobility. It became famous garden ruins recently because it has remained many carved stones. However, there has been no study about Okcheonjeong yet. We studied Okcheonjeong to establish basic knowledge by literature analysis and field investigation. We tried to discover garden style by deciphering carved stones, and estimate Okcheonjeong's location by documentary research. Sim, Sang-Gyu became Gwangjuyusu(廣州留守) in 1816, and he built Okcheonjeong on the backyard of Namhansanseong's temporary palace in 1817. It was located in the foot of a mountain beside a stream. It consisted of Pungaepok(楓靄瀑: waterfall), Chusudam(秋水潭: a little pond), and Okcheon(玉泉: a stone wall). The stone for sign stands in front of the entrance of Pungaepok to show Okcheonjeong, and there is Yeongyeondae(泠然臺) above the waterfall. We thought that Okcheonjeong was typical Imcheon-garden(林泉庭苑). Okcheonjeong is located in the foot of a mountain following Gamigyeong(歌薇逕) 60 meters so it was able to see the whole temporary palace from the Okcheonjeong. It was the garden pavilion of temporary palace, but it was used in semi public garden(半公的庭苑). Okcheonjeong is the only graden ruins which was located in Namhansanseong, so we have to preserve as cultural heritage. We expect to make use of primary datas to restore Namhansanseong soundly which was world heritage.

The factors of local disappearance and a plan of restoration fer Parnassius bremeri from Okchon-gun, Chungchongbukdo, Korea, were investigated. The population of this butterfly from Okchon-gun was much more abundant than the other areas of Korea in the past. But only two adults were observed in 1997 at this site and no more observation was made in 1998. So we considered that Parnassius bremeri is disappeared from this area. To know the factors of local disappearance of this species, we analyzed data of the monitoring from seven localities of Okchon-gun from 1990 to 1998 and also checked 252 specimens from this area by several collections. As a result of it, the habitat changes by recent road constructions and the frequent collecting activity around this area are shown as the factors for the local disappearance of this species. We are intending to establish the programs for restoration of Parnassius bremeri in Okchon-gun. Firstly, the breeding plan of this species was designed by investigation on life cycle. Secondly, the environmental conditions among seven localities were compared and the suitable places of the restoration were selected. The most suitable localities for restoration by this study were of two localities, Dongrakjeong and Jangwahri, which are considerd as highly successful breeding places in the view of growth condition of host plant.

The Songbong Formation (so-called Bangrim Group), correated to the lower part of Choseon Supergroup, unconformably overlies the Precambrian Gyeonggi massif at northeastem tip of the Ogcheon belt The contact relationship between the Choseon Supergroup and the Yeongnam massif is also known as an unconformity at northeastem part of the Ogcheon belt. lt implies that the Gyeonggi and Yeongnam massifs were probably connected each other before the Early Paleozoic. Three deformational phases are recognized in the study area, The first phase is the north-northeastward ductile thrusting, which places Precambrian granite of the Gyeonggi massif over the Paleozoic rocks of the Ogcheon belt. The second phase is characterized by the southeastward thrusting and deformation partitioning along the Nuruhaji compartment fault. The third phase is the reactivation of the Nuruhaji Fault into dextral strike-slip fault with over a few kilometers displacement.

상당수의 산란계 농장들이 유통상인과의 마찰로 인해 어려움을 겪고 있다. 난가의 좋고 나쁨이나 알의 체화여부 등의 유통상황에 관계없이 이러한 마찰은 끊임없이 불거져 나오고 있는데, 상인들과 '상생'을 추구하며 어려움과 기쁨을 함께 나누려는 농장들도 있다. 농장 본연의 역할인 좋은 계란 생산에만 전념하는 농장, 충북 옥천군 옥천읍에 위치한 대성농장(대표 황명동)을 다녀왔다.
