The purpose of this study is to provide design guidelines on office layouts to improve workers' concentration and communication behavior while supporting work processes. Among the present office types, benzene-type was preferred the most was providing better concentration. Regarding communication, link and benzene were preferred types. In present office types, workers were satisfied in communication more than concentration. To increase concentration level, acoustical privacy was indicated as the most important factor In conclusion, to support both concentration and communication in office, the team area should be divided into smaller sub-team areas. The sub-team areas may support interaction within a group while preventing unnecessary distraction. The major circulation of work process should be formed outside of the sub-team areas to provide concentration within the groups.

An office is understood as a system consisted of three subsystem : office work, technology and organization. In the age of information, an office is a complicated device in an organization to create, process, modify and deliver various information for organizational goals. The purpose of this study is to provide design guidelines on office workstations based on the analysis of employees' preference and work-style responding to current changes of an organization and work process. Through a literature survey, the study briefly reviewed characteristics of interior design to find changing factors and directions of office interior. Work characteristics in an office are analyzed based on information, activity and communication characteristics while office environment is analyzed based on physical and technological factors. Finally, questionnaire items are derived from a critical comparison between work characteristics and workstation organization(furniture etc) factor. workplace strategies by preference are suggested to increase office productivity, employee satisfaction and to reduce space costs.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the color scheme based on the color image types through the color analysis of workstation furniture which is on the market. This color scheme of the workstation furniture is expected to be give the comfort to office environment when planning office. For this study, It is selected the three furniture firms that have a brand of office furniture and their web site that is showed color sample of furniture. The following researches are drawn based upon the purpose. First, the color image types of interior space is classified and the color image words that are suitable for each types is extracted based on the results of existing literature. Second, the distribution of its hue and tone is analysed after collecting the each firm's color sample of desk top, panel and chair. Third, the color image appearing in each furniture color is analysed by color image scale positioning. Forth, the color scheme of desk top, panel and chair is suggested by its color scheme palette. The result of this study is expected to help comfortable environment by providing the color scheme for selection of furniture color in work space. Not all color of each furniture is sufficient to be combined color scheme, the result is indicated that the color scheme of workstation by color image types is possible for color planning in office environment.

최근 워크스테이션이나 오피스 설계에서 인간공학의 중요성이 대두되고 있으며 작업대 높이, 다리 여유공간, 시트 조절범위 등에 대한 인간공학 지침서가 있다. 그러나 이런 지침서가 일부 제 품의 디자인에는 적합하더라도, 많은 제품에서는 설계가 복잡하여 마네킨의 사용이 요구된다. 특히 초기 디자인의 개념과 설계의 개략적인 평가를 위해서는 마네킨의 사용이 필수적이며 특히 작업공간이 제한되거나 특수한 작업이 요구될 때는 더욱 사용성이 증대된다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 신체크기를 대표할 수 있는 마네킨을 구성하는 방법과 cad 마네킨을 모델링하였다. 우선 마네킨의 기본 구조와 형상을 결정하는데 필요한 25개 기본인체부위를 선정하고 인자분석을 통하여 이들부위의 크기를 대표할 수 있는 마네킨 그룹을 결정하였다. 또 각 마네킨 그룹별로 25개 기본 인체부위의 마네킨 설계치수를 도출하였으며 이들 값을 바탕으로 2차원 인체모형을 ANSYS로 모델링하였다.
