Design of an Excitation System for Simulating Wind-Induced Response and Evaluating Wind-load Resistance Characteristics (건축구조물의 풍하중 구현 및 풍특성 평가를 위한 가진시스템 설계)

  • In this paper, excitation systems using linear mass shaker (LMS) and active tuned mass damper (ATMD) are presented in order to simulate the wind induced responses of a building structure. The actuator force for the excitation systems is calculated by using the inverse transfer function of a target structural response to the actuator. Filter and envelop function are used such that the error between the wind and actuator induced responses is minimized by preventing the actuator from exciting unexpected modal response and initial transient response. The analyses results from a 76-story benchmark building problem in which wind load obtained by wind tunnel test is given, indicate that the excitation system installed at a specific floor can approximately embody the structural responses induced by the wind load applied to each floor of the structure. The excitation system designed by the proposed method can be effectively used for evaluating the wind response characteristics of a practical building structure and for obtaining an accurate analytical model of the building under wind load.

The Crystal Structure of an Iondine Sorption Complex of Dehydrated Calcium and Silver Exchanged Zeolite A ($Ag^+$이온과 $Ca^{2+}$이온으로 치환한 제올라이트 A를 탈수한 후 요오드를 흡착한 결정구조)

  • The crystal structure of an iodine sorption complex of vacumm-dehydrated Ag+ and Ca2+ exchanged zeolite A(a=12.174(3)Å) has been determined at 21℃ by single-crystal X-ray diffraction techniques in the cubic space group Pm3m. The crystal was prepared by flow method for three days using exchange solution in solution in which mole ratio of AgNO3 and Ca(NO3)2 was 1:150 with total concentration of 0.05 M. The complex was prepared by dehydration at 360℃ and 2×10-6 Torr for 2 days, followed by exposure to about 14.3 Torr of iodine vaporat 80℃ for 24 hours. Full-matrix least-squares refinement converged to the final error indices of R1=0.082, R2=0.068 using 122 reflections for which I > 3σ(I). Two Ag+ ions, 1.1 Ag+ ions, and 4.45 Ca2+ ions per unit cell are located on three different three-fold axes associated with 6-ring oxygens. Two Ag+ ions per unit cell are in the large cavity, 1.399(4)Å from the (111) plane of three oxygens. Another 1.1 Ag+ ions are found at opposite sites. Six iodine molecules are sorbed per unit cell. Each I2 molecule approaches a framework oxide ion axially (O-I=3.43(2)Å, I-I=2.92Å, I-I-O;166.1(3)°), by a charge transfer complex interaction. Two Ag+ ions make a close approach to the iodine molecules (Ag-I ; 2.73(2)Å).

Analysis of Littoral Currents by the Coupled Hydrodynamic Model (복합해수유동 수치모형에 의한 조간대 연안류의 해석)

  • To evaluate the influence of the external force components on the littoral currents in the Gusipo beach, Jeonbuk, West Coast of Korea where a wide tidal sand flat developed, a coupled hydrodynamic model considered real time tidal currents and wave-induced currents was constructed in which the EFDC for tides and tidal currents, the SWAN for waves and the SHORECIRC for wave-induced currents were used as the hindcasting models. A series of field observations for tides, tidal currents and incident waves were carried out and especially to observe the littoral currents in the tidal sand flat, the GPS mounted and light weight drogues were used. Also wind data were collected from the adjacent weather station. To analyze the littoral current components, the numerical drogue tracking results considered real time winds, tides and waves were compared with the field drogue data. The drift speed of numerical drogues was reproduced as the range of 68.0~105.2% compared with the field data and the velocity error of main direction component showed a good result as -16.7~10.0%. As a result, in the mild slope tidal flat including wide surf zone, the tides and winds were the major affection component of the littoral currents, on the other hand, the wave-induced currents seemed the minor component when the incident wave heights were relatively small.

  • To estimate the shear-velocity ($v_s$) structure beneath the WIZ station on White Island in New Zealand, we applied receiver function (RF) inversion and H-${\kappa}$ stacking methods to 362 teleseismic events (Mw > 5.5) recorded during April 20, 2007 to September 6, 2013. Using 71 RFs with errors less than 20% after 200 iterative computations, we determined that the depth to Moho of $v_s$ = 4.35 km/s is $24{\pm}1km$ within a 15 km radius of the station. In an 1-d $v_s$ model derived by RF inversions, a 4-km thick low-velocity layer (LVL) at depths of 18 ~ 22 km was identified in the lower crust. This LVL, which is 0.15 km/s slower than the rocks above and below it, may indicate the presence of a deep magma reservoir. The H-${\kappa}$ stacking method yielded an estimate of the depth to the Moho of 24.5 km, which agrees well with the depth determined by RF inversions. The low $v_p/v_s$ ratio of 1.64 may be due to the presence of gas-filled rock or hot crystallizing magma.

Adjustment of TRM/PR Data by Ground Observed Rainfall Data and SCS Runoff Estimation : Yongdam-Dam Watershed (지상강우 관측치에 의한 TRM/PR 관측치의 보정 및 SCS 유출해석 : 용담댐 유역을 대상으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate hydrological applicability of spatially observed rainfall distribution data by the TRMM/PR (Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission / Precipitation Radar). For this study, firstly, TRMM/PR data (Y) of the Yongdam-Dam Watershed (930.38$km^2$) was extracted and secondly, TRMM/PR data and the rainfall data (X) by AWS (Automatic Weather Station) were compared by executing a correlation analysis. As a result, the regression equations were deduced as two parts (under 60mm/day : Y = 18.55X-0.53, over 60mm/day : Y = 3.11X+51.16). SCS runoff analysis was conducted using 7 rainfall events in 1999 for Yongdam-Dam watershed and the Cheon-Cheon subwatershed for the revised TRMM/PR data. TRMM/PR data showed relative errors ranging from 19.6% ti 45.6%, and from 11.3% to 38.9% for Cheon-Cheon subwatershed and Yongdam-Dam watershed, respectively, AWS data showed relative errors ranging from 0.5% to 12.8%, and from -1.6% to -10.3%, for Cheon-Cheon subwatershed and Yongdam-Dam watershed, respectively. Futher researches are necessary to evaluate the relationship between TRMM/PR data and AWS data for practical hydrological applications.

The Evaluation on Accuracy of LiDAR DEM by Plotting Map (도화원도를 이용한 LiDAR DEM의 정확도 평가)

  • DEM(Digital Elevation Model) is used widely in image processing, water resources, construction, GIS, landscape architecture, telecommunication, military operations and other related areas. And it is used especially in producing ortho-photo based on specific DEM and developing 3D GIS database vividly. As LiDAR(Light and Detection And Ranging) system emerged recently, DEM could be developed in urban area more efficiently and more economically, compared to the conventional DEM Production. Traditional method using check points for elevation has tome limitations in structure's height accuracy by LiDAR, because it uses only terrain height. Accordingly after the downtown of Chungju city was selected as a test field in this paper and DEM and digital ortho images was produced by way of LiDar survey, the accuracy was evaluated through analytical plotting map. The result shows that in case of buildings in LiDAR DEM, the accuracy is 0.30 m in X, 0.62 m in Y and RMS is 1.17 m. The difference distribution between DEM and plotting map in range of $\pm$10 cm was 36.2% and $\pm$10 cm $\pm$20 cm was 43.53%. The accuracy of LiDAR in this study meets 1/5,000 which is the regulation for map of NGI(National Geography Institute) and LiDAR can be possibly used in many other applied area.

Development of simulation method for heating line optimization of E-Mold by using commercial CAE softwares (전산모사 프로그램을 이용한 E-MOLD의 Heating Line 배치의 최적화 설계에 관한 연구)

  • To produce plastic parts that have fine pattern through conventional injection molding, a lot of difficulties follow. Therefore, rapid heating and cooling methods are good candidates for manufacturing injection-molded parts with micro/nano patterns. In this study, we adopted the E-Mold patent technology. The mold for E-Mold technology has a separate heated core with micro heaters. It is very important to optimize the lay-out of the heaters in heated core because it influences both control and distribution of mold temperature. We developed a optimization method of heating line lay-out by using commercial softwares and compared the output with the experimental results. We used Pro-Engineer Wildfire 2.0 for the mold design, ICEMCFD for mesh generation, and FLUENT for heat transfer simulation. The simulation results showed the temperature profile from $60^{\circ}C$ to $120^{\circ}C$ or $180^{\circ}C$ during heating and cooling process which were compared with the injection molding experiments. We concluded that the simulation could well explain the experimental results. It was shown that the E-Mold optimization design for heater lay-out could be available through the simulation.

Automatic Parameter Estimation of Hydrogeologic Field Test around Underground Storage Caverns by using Nonlinear Regression Model (비선형 회귀모형을 이용한 지하저장공동 주변 현장수리지질시험 매개변수의 자동 추정)

  • For the design and effective management of underground storage caverns, preliminary investigation on the hydrogeologic parameters around caverns and analysis on the groundwater flow must be carried out. The data collection is very imporatnat task for the hydrogeologic design so various hydraulic tests have been performed. When analyzing the injection/fall off test data, existing graphical method to estimate the parameters in Theis' equation is widely used. However this method has some sources of error when estimating parameters by means of human faults. Therefore the method of estimating parameters by means of statistical methods such as regression type is evaluated as a useful tool. In this study, nonlinear regression analysis for the Theis' equation is suggested and applied to the estimation of parameters for the real field interference data around underground storage caverns. Damping parameter which reduce the iteration numbers and inhance the convergence is also introduced.

Identification of Be Levels Correlated with Intrinsic Defect in p-GaSb Grown by Molecular Beam Epitaxy

  • 반도체는 도핑하지 않으면 대부분 n형을 나타내는 것에 반하여 GaSb는 p형을 보이는 반도체로서, 그 근원은 명확하게 규명되어 있지 않은 상태이다. GaSb의 p형 불순물인 Be은 Ga과 치환 ([$Be_{Ga}$])되므로, p형 전도의 근원으로 추정되는 잔존결함인 [$Ga_{Sb}$]와 그 복합체인 [$Ga_{Sb}-Sb_{Ga}$]와 높은 상관관계를 가질 것으로 예측된다. 본 연구에서는 Be을 도핑한 GaSb:Be 에피층을 MBE 방법으로 성장하여, PL 스펙트럼과 Hall 효과 분석을 통하여 p형 전도의 근원을 조사하였다. 도핑하지 않은 u-GaSb는 DA (deep acceptor)와 함께 A 준위를 나타낸 반면, p-GaSb:Be의 PL 스펙트럼은 Be 도핑농도가 증가함에 따라 FWHM가 줄어들면서 점차 높은 에너지 영역으로 변위하지만 농도가 가장 높은 시료에서는 PL의 FWHM가 증가하면서 에너지는 감소함이 관측되었는데, 이것은 A 피크와 Sb 관련 피크가 경쟁적으로 중첩되어 나타난 현상으로 분석된다. Hall 효과 결과는 유효 전하밀도의 증가에 따라 이동도는 감소하는 전형적인 의존성을 나타내었으며, u-GaSb의 Hall 이동도가 p-GaSb:Be의 값보다 작은 것은 u-GaSb에 잔존하는 DA에 의한 산란 때문으로 해석된다. Gaussian 형태로 분해하여 얻은 A ([$Ga_{Sb}$])와 DA ([$Ga_{Sb}-Sb_{Ga}$]) 및 Be 관련 피크로부터 특정 도핑농도 ($1.2{\times}10^{17}cm^{-3}$)의 시료를 제외한 모든 p-GaSb:Be에는 A 피크가 중첩되고 A와 Be 준위 중간에 Be과의 복합체인 중간상태(intermediate state)인 [$Be^*$]가 존재함이 관측되었는데, 특정 도핑농도에서는 [$Be_{Ga}$]이 우세하지만 더 이상 농도가 증가하면 [$Be_{Ga}$] 준위의 강도는 오히려 감소함을 관측할 수 있었다. 이것은 적정 이상의 Be을 도핑할 경우, A ([$Be_{Ga}$])와 $Be^*([Be_{Ga}-Ga_Sb}])$가 형성 ($A[Ga_{Sb}]+Be{\rightarrow}Be^*[Be_{Ga}-Ga_{Sb}]+[Be_{Ga}]$)됨을 보여 주는 중요한 결과인 것으로 분석된다. A, [Be], [$Be^*$] PL 피크 에너지는 각각 779, 787, 794 meV (오차범위 ${\pm}3\;meV$)이고, [$Be_{Ga}$]의 활성화 에너지는 ($23{\pm}3\;meV$) (20 K)임을 밝혔다.

2형 당뇨병 치료제의 최근동향

  • 1988년 Reaven이 인슐린저항성증후군(insulin resistance syndrome)의 개념을 처음 소개한 후 전세계적으로 관심이 증가하고 있다. 인슐린저항성증후군은 대사성증후군 (metabolic syndrome), X 증후군(syndrome X)이라고도 하며, 인슐린 저항성에 따른 고인슐린혈증, 내당능장애(impaired glucose tolerance)와 2형 당뇨병(인슐린 비의존형 당뇨병), 이상지질혈증(dyslipidemia), 고혈압 등 일련의 질환은 동일인에서 흔히 병발하고, 이들은 모두 죽상경화증(atherosclerosis)의 위험인자라는 관점에서 상호연관성을 갖는 질환군이라는 개념이다. 2형 당뇨병은 인슐린에 대한 말초조직의 저항성과 상대적으로 감소된 인슐린 분비능의 결과라고 할 수 있다. 또한 상당수의 2형 당뇨병은 비만, 특히 복부비만을 동반하고 있으며, 비만은 그 자체로 인슐린 저항성을 유발한다. 결국 인슐린 저항성이 장기간 개선되지 못하게 되면 2형 당뇨병이 유발되게 된다. 따라서 2형 당뇨병에 대한 최선의 치료는 혈당조절 뿐만 아니라 인슐린 저항성과 관련된 심혈관계 위험인자를 개선시키는 것을 목표로 해야 한다. 그 증거로 당뇨병 조절과 관련한 대규모 전향적 연구인 UKPDS(United Kingdom Prospective Diabetes Study)의 결과를 보면, 2형 당뇨병에서 설폰요소제(sulfonylurea)나 인슐린으로 10년동안 혈당조절을 했을 때 미세혈관 합병증은 의미있게 감소시켰으나 대혈관 합병증의 발생률은 의미있는 감소를 보이지 못하였다. 반면 대혈관 합병증이 미세혈관 합병증보다 사망에 기여하는 비율이 70배 이상이라는 사실은 당뇨병의 치료가 혈당조절에만 초점이 맞추어져서는 안 되며 심혈관계 위험인자를 개선시키는 치료가 동시에 진행되어야 한다는 점을 시사한다.시료에서 매우 드물게 관찰된다. 음극선발광(cathodoluminescence) 영상의 해석을 통해 저어콘 결정의 성장사를 유추하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 이온현미분석 점(spot)을 정하였다. U-Pb-Th 자료는 퍼스(Perth) 저어콘 스탠다드 (CZ3, 564 Ma, $^{206}$Pb/$^{238}$U=0.0914)를 사용하였다. 아래에 기술하는 연대는 모두 $^{206}$Pb/$^{238}$U 연대에 해당된다. 두 개의 화강암질 편마암 시료로부터 구한 U-Pb 저어콘 연대는 각각 812 $\pm$ 14 Ma(1006-8)와 822 $\pm$ 17 Ma(1006-9)로 분석오차 내에서 서로 일치한다. 이 결과는 춘천 및 전곡 지역의 석류석 각섬암에서 보고된 Sm-Nd 전암연대(852 $\pm$ 24 Ma 및 824 $\pm$ 143 Ma; Lee and Cho, 1995; Ree et al., 1996)와 잘 부합한다. 따라서 후기 원생대 기간 중 화성활동이 한반도에서 광범위하게 일어났음을 시사한다. 한편, 1006-9 시료에서는 예외적으로 한 개의 저어콘 입자 주변부(rim)에서 매우 얇은 과성장띠가 관찰되었으며, 두 개의 점 분석으로부터 구한 U-Pb 저어콘 연대는 약 235 Ma이다. 이 띠는 또한 변성기원의 저어콘에서 흔히 관찰되는 작은 W (<0.05) 비를 보인다. 1006-5 시료는 위 두 시료로부터 수 km 떨어진 지점에서 채집하였으나, 저어콘 연대는 상이한 기록을 보여준다. 즉 매우 작은 Th/U (<0.01) 값을 갖는 저어콘의 주변부에서 223 $\pm$ 5 Ma의 연대가 잘 정의되며, 이는 1006-9 시료에서 관찰된 결과와
