Feasibility Study for Development of Transit Dosimetry Based Patient Dose Verification System Using the Glass Dosimeter (유리선량계를 이용한 투과선량 기반 환자선량 평가 시스템 개발을 위한 가능성 연구)

  • As radiation therapy is one of three major cancer treatment methods, many cancer patients get radiation therapy. To exposure as much radiation to cancer while normal tissues near tumor get little radiation, medical physicists make a radiotherapy plan treatment and perform quality assurance before patient treatment. Despite these efforts, unintended medical accidents can occur by some errors. In order to solve the problem, patient internal dose reconstruction methods by measuring transit dose are suggested. As feasibility study for development of patient dose verification system, inverse square law, percentage depth dose and scatter factor are used to calculate dose in the water-equivalent homogeneous phantom. As a calibration results of ionization chamber and glass dosimeter to transit radiation, signals of glass dosimeter are 0.824 times at 6 MV and 0.736 times at 10 MV compared to dose measured by ionization chamber. Average scatter factor is 1.4 and Mayneord F factor was used to apply percentage depth dose data. When we verified the algorithm using the water-equivalent homogeneous phantom, maximum error was 1.65%.

  • Two representative residual static methods of traveltime decomposition and stack-power maximization are discussed in terms of application to land seismic data. For the model data with synthetic shot/receiver statics (time shift) applied and random noises added, continuities of reflection event are much improved by stack-power maximization method, resulting the derived time-shifts approximately equal to the synthetic statics. Optimal parameters (maximum allowable shift, correlation window, iteration number) for residual statics are effectively chosen with diagnostic displays of CSP (common shot point) stack and CRP (common receiver point) stack as well as CMP gather. In addition to removal of long-wavelength time shift by refraction statics, prior to residual statics, processing steps of f-k filter, predictive deconvolution and time variant spectral whitening are employed to attenuate noises and thereby to minimize the error during the correlation process. The reflectors including horizontal layer of reservoir are more clearly shown in the variable-density section through repicking the velocities after residual statics and inverse NMO correction.

  • An optical microphone based on a dual-core fiber collimator and a membrane type micromirror serving as an optical head and a reflective diaphragm respectively was implemented. The micromirror diaphragm is suspended by a thin silicon bar linked with a frame, thus it is subject to a displacement induced by acoustic waves. The optical head incorporating two collimators integrated in a single housing gives light to and receives it from the diaphragm, rendering the optical microphone structure simple and compact. This dual-core collimator having a slowing varying beam profile facilitates the initial alignment of the optical head with the diaphragm, especially the distance between them. For the assembled microphone, the static characteristics were investigated tofind the operation point defined as the optimum distance between the head and the diaphragm, and a frequency response with a variation of about $\pm$5 dB for the range of up to 3kHz was achieved.

  • When the eldery with limited mobility and disabled use a wheelchairs to move, it can cause decreased exercise ability like decline muscular strength in upper limb and lower extremities. The disabled people suffers with spinal cord injuries or post stroke hemiplegia are easily exposed to secondary problems due to limited mobility. In this paper, We designed intelligent wheelchair robot system for upper limb and lower extremities exercise/rehabilitation considering the characteristics of these severely disabled person. The system consists of an electric wheelchair, biometrics module for Identification characteristics of users, upper limb and lower extremities rehabilitation. In this paper, describes the design and configurations and of developed robot. Also, In order to verify the system function, conduct performance evaluation targeting non-disabled about risk context analysis with biomedical signal change and upper limb and lower extremities rehabilitation over wheelchair robot move. Consequently, it indicate sufficient tracking performance for rehabilitation as at about 86.7% average accuracy for risk context analysis and upper limb angle of 2.5 and lower extremities angle of 2.3 degrees maximum error range of joint angle.

  • 일반적으로 관성계 내의 물체에 대한 동적특성의 파악을 위해서는 속도, 가속도 및 각속도, 각가속도에 대한 정보를 필요로 하며 자이로는 이중에서 각속도를 측정하는 장치이다. 운동하는 질량에 회전각속도가 인가될 때 발생되는 코리올리힘을 측정하여 회전각속도를 검출하는 개념의 각속도 센서인 진동자이로는 성능이 회전형 자이로에 비해 떨어지나 구조가 간단하고 소형이며 대량생산이 가능한 장점이 있다. 진동자이로의 효시로는 1950년 영국의 Sperry Gyroscope Company의 "Gyroton"이며, 전자기력을 이용한 가진과 측정이 그 특징으로서 실험실 조건에서 지구의 자전속도를 측정할 수 있었다. 그후 1960년대에 General Electric에서 "VYRO"라는 모델을 개발했는데 압전소자를 이용하여 가진과 측정을 하는 방법이 사용되었다. 1980년대에 Watson Ind., Soderkvist등은 센서자체가 압전물질로 만들어진 자이로를 실험하였고 1990년도에 들어서는 진동자이로의 원리를 마이크로 머시닝 기술과 연계시켜서 소형 경량화와 대량생산을 목표로 연구가 일부 진행되고 있다. 현재 제품화되어 실제 응용되고 있는 예로는 무라다사의 삼각프리즘 형태의 자이로, 토킨사의 원통형 자이로 등이 있으며 이러한 자이로는 캠코더 화면의 안정화 장치에 주로 사용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 압전소자의 압전, 전왜 방정식으로 출발하여 자이로헤드의 동적 거동을 해석하였다. 진동자이로는 물체의 공진주파수에서의 진동현상을 이용하며, 두 방향의 고유진동수를 일치시켜야 하는 등의 설계조건이 있다. 이러한 조건을 만족하도록 사각보 구조를 기본으로 하여 새로운 형태의 자이로헤드를 고안하였다. 자이로헤드의 구동회로를 설계, 해석하고 각속도를 측정할 수 있는 검출회로를 설계하여 설계된 진동자이로의 동적 특성을 확인하고 보정회로를 이용하여 사용 주파수 영역을 넓혔다.이용하여 사용 주파수 영역을 넓혔다.러한 강이성들이 보장되는 제어이론들 중 H$_{\infty}$ 제어이론이 많이 연구/응용 되고 있다. 특히 공칭 플랜트 모델과 함께 사용되는 플랜트 모델과 함께 사용되는 플랜트 불확실성 모델은 직접적으로 성능 및 안정도에 영향을 미치므로 주의 깊게 선정해야 한다. 방법의 실질적인 적용에는 어려움이 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 방법들의 단점을 극복할 수 있는 새로운 회귀적 모우드 변수 규명 방법을 개발하였다. 이는 Fassois와 Lee가 ARMAX모델의 계수를 효율적으로 추정하기 위하여 개발한 뱉치방법인 Suboptimum Maximum Likelihood 방법[5]를 기초로 하여 개발하였다. 개발된 방법의 장점은 응답 신호에 유색잡음이 존재하여도 모우드 변수들을 항상 정확하게 구할 수 있으며, 또한 알고리즘의 안정성이 보장된 것이다.. 여기서는 실험실 수준의 평 판모델을 제작하고 실제 현장에서 이루어질 수 있는 진동제어 구조물에 대 한 동적실험 및 FRS를 수행하는 과정과 동일하게 따름으로써 실제 발생할 수 있는 오차나 error를 실험실내의 차원에서 파악하여 진동원을 있는 구조 물에 대한 진동제어기술을 보유하고자 한다. 이용한 해마의 부피측정은 해마경화증 환자의 진단에 있어 육안적인 MR 진단이 어려운 제한된 경우에만 실제적 도움을 줄 수 있는 보조적인 방법으로 생각된다.ofile whereas relaxivity at high field is not affected by τS.   • The purpose of this research is how to estimate the traffic queue length in the signal intersection accurately. The current traffic queue length algorithm in COSMOS has been using the congestion diagram which comes from the speed of an average separated vehicle - using average vehicle length and the occupancy time from loop detectors. So some errors were occurred by the speed estimation method using average vehicle lengths. And Operators had been difficult to optimize some variables for measuring the traffic queue length estimation algorithm in COSMOS. Therefore the traffic queue length estimation algorithm on the basis of the relation between distances and occupancy rates from loop detectors was developed in this thesis. This thesis had the advantage of using occupancy rates which came out from loop detectors easily and no need to optimize some variables for the established algorithm in COSMOS. And the results of testing this algorithm in some sites which had installed COSMOS system showed better results than COSMOS system's results. But it was noted that further studies which carry it out in various sites and under various cases are necessary for applying to actual intersections.

The Smart Electronic Tagging System for Sexual Offenses Prevention Context-Aware Services in Extreme Situations such as Location Unrecognized (위치인식 불가의 극한상황에서 성범죄 예방 상황인지 서비스를 위한 스마트 전자발찌 시스템)

  • The existing electronic tagging system traces the location of a sex offender through communicating with GPS satellites and mobile phone base stations in order to prevent repeated crimes. However, the GPS satellite communication method does not work well in the interiors of downtown buildings or on the subways where it is difficult to receive satellite signals. In such cases, the location can be traced through communication with mobile phone base stations. But the distance between mobile phone base stations is several hundred meters, and as a result the margin of error for location tracing can be maximum of 2km in accuracy reduction. Take for example, if a kindergarten is located on the 2nd floor and a coffee shop and the sex offender are located on the 3rd floor in a 5-story building that is downtown, the existing electronic tagging system cannot trace the location of the sex offender as the GPS satellite communication does not work in the interior of the building and the exact floor that the sex offender is located on cannot be recognized through communication with mobile phone base stations. This occurrence is a big problem for the existing electronic tagging system, which is based on position recognition. Therefore, this study suggests a smart electronic tagging system that can monitor sex offenders by using a Ubiquitous Sensor Network in such extreme situations where position recognition is not possible.

  • We investigated the design of an RF-powered, wireless temperature sensor tag chip using $0.18-{\mu}m$ CMOS technology. The transponder generates its own power supply from small incident RF signal using Schottky diodes in voltage multiplier. Ambient temperature is measured using a new low-power temperature-to-voltage converter, and an 8-bit single-slope ADC converts the measured voltage to digital data. ASK demodulator and digital control are combined to identify unique transponder (ID) sent by base station for multi-transponder applications. The measurement of the temperature sensor tag chip showed a resolution of $0.64^{\circ}C/LSB$ in the range from $20^{\circ}C$ to $100^{\circ}C$, which is suitable for environmental temperature monitoring. The chip size is $1.1{\times}0.34mm^2$, and operates at clock frequency of 100 kHz while consuming $64{\mu}W$ power. The temperature sensor required a -11 dBm RF input power, supported a conversion rate of 12.5 k-samples/sec, and a maximum error of $0.5^{\circ}C$.

A New Variable Degeneration Resistor for Digitally Programmable CMOS VGA (디지털 방식의 이득조절 기능을 갖는 CMOS VGA를 위한 새로운 가변 축퇴 저항)

  • A degenerated differential pair has been widely used as a standard topology for digitally programmable CMOS VGAs. A variable degeneration resistor has been implemented using a resistor string or R-2R ladder with MOSFET switches. However, in the VGAs using these conventional methods, low-voltage and high-speed operation is very hard to achieve due to the dc voltage drop over the degeneration resistor. To overcome the problem a new variable degeneration resistor is proposed where the dc voltage drop is almost removed. The proposed gain control scheme makes it easy to implement a low-voltage and high-speed VGA. This paper describes the problems existed in conventional methods, the principle and advantages of the proposed scheme, and their performance comparison in detail. A CMOS VGA cell is designed using the proposed degeneration resistor. The 3dB bandwidths are greater than 650㎒ and the gain errors are less than 0.3dB in a gain control range from -12dB to +12dB in 6dB steps. It consumes 3.1㎃ from a 2.5V supply voltage.

dLoran Measurement in Yeongil Bay using the Pohang Loran-C (9930M) (포항 로란-C(9930M) 이용 영일만 dLoran 측정)

  • There are three essential components of eLoran: dLoran, data map of ASF, and the Loran data channel. Particularly, dLoran improves navigation accuracy, which is the core technology of eLoran systems. The requirement of HEA's absolute accuracy, less than 20 meters, can be satisfied via dLoran measurements and their corrections. In this study, dLoran measurements using the Pohang Loran-C (9930M) station signal were conducted at Yeongil Bay. We established a dLoran reference station at Homigot Management Office for navigation aids within the Bay. We estimated the effectiveness of the dLoran between the reference site (Homigot Management Office) and a test site (Heunghwan beach) by measuring TOAs. We verified that the TOA data measured at these two regions were highly correlated. The temporal differences in the data between the dLoran reference station and test site were about 10~30 ns per day, which is equivalent to a ranging error of 3~9 m. This result shows that eLoran can meet the requirement of 8~20 meters position accuracy for maritime HEA by correcting the ASF at the user's receiver.
