  • Paradoxically, in the age of video like Youtube, audio books are rapidly growing. Audio books are the result of complex influences such as digital detox trends that try to distance themselves from digital devices in the age of smart devices. The biggest advantage of audio books is that they can read books with "mutitasking" while working or driving, unlike video or text. The audio book market has already become the fastest growing industry in the publishing sector in recent years abroad. Various platforms specializing in audio books are also appearing in South Korea and China. We hope that applying these audio books to Chinese literature education will have many effects. In particular, the addition of Chinese sounds to the Chinese-Korean translation text can dramatically enhance students' accessibility. Also, if the Chinese phonetic synthesis technology is applied to web pages and the text and sound of Chinese literature works are served at the same time, the effect will be maximized. In particular, intelligent voice synthesis during the Fourth Industrial Revolution will be an alternative to overcoming the limitations of mechanical speech synthesis by developing a voice engine using the natural sound of the reader.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between consumer reviews and managerial responses, aiming to explore the necessity of webcare for efficiently managing consumer reviews. We intend to propose a methodology for effective webcare and to construct a webcare model using machine learning techniques based on an audiobook platform. In this study, we selected four audiobook platforms and conducted data collection and preprocessing for consumer reviews and managerial responses. We utilized techniques such as topic modeling, topic inconsistency analysis, and DBSCAN, along with various machine learning methods for analysis. The experimental results yielded significant findings in clustering managerial responses and predicting responses to consumer reviews, proposing an efficient methodology considering resource constraints and costs. This research provides academic insights by constructing a webcare model through machine learning techniques and practical implications by suggesting an efficient methodology, considering the limited resources and personnel of companies. The proposed webcare model in this study can be utilized as strategic foundational data for consumer engagement and providing useful information, offering both personalized responses and standardized managerial responses.

  • As the eBook market grows fast recently, various eBook viewer solutions such as hardware viewers and software readers came out to the market. We can, however, hardly find mobile eBook interfaces for the reading disabled people who have difficulties in reading for their visual impairment or learning disabilities, or dyslexia. An eBook viewer interfaces for the reading disabled people should be carefully and distinctively designed because the reading disabled people cannot use normal versions of eBook viewer. In this paper, we suggest a eBook viewer interface model to make the reading disabled people read eBooks easily. Depending on the type of the reading disabled people: the full blind, the almost blind, the just learning disabled, our model provides an adaptive interface to make them read eBooks effectively. In addition, unlike the existing simple audio books, we also support annotation systems to make the reading disabled people interact with eBook viewer. To show the effectiveness of our model, we implemented an eBook viewer prototype on an android-based mobile device. We are sure that our model and implementation can make the reading disabled people, who is 10% of all the domestic people, read eBooks effectively.
