A Study of Efficient Spare Capacity Planning Scheme in Mesh-Based Survivable Fiber-Optic Networks (생존성을 갖는 메쉬기반 광전송망에서의 효율적인 예비용량 설계방안에 관한 연구)

  • Due to the development of information technology and widespread use of telecommunications networks, the design of mesh-survivable net works has received considerable attention in recent years. This paper deals with spare capacity planning scheme in mesh-based fiber-optic networks. In this study, a new spare capacity planning scheme is proposed utilizing path restoration with maximal sharing of share capacity that is traced by the spare capacity incremental factor (after this, we called "SCIF"). We compare it with three other spare capacity planning scheme : link capacity of IP (Integer Programming), SLPA(Spare Link Placement Algorithm) and GA(Genetic Algorithm). The approach shows better performance with heuristics algorithm for determining the spare capacity assignment and the computational time is easily controlled allowing the approach to scale to large networks. The major advantages of the new approach are reduction of spare capacity and a polynomial time complexity.omplexity.

An Energy-Efficient In-Network Join Query Processing using Synopsis and Encoding in Sensor Network (센서 네트워크에서 시놉시스와 인코딩을 이용한 에너지 효율적인 인-네트워크 조인 질의 처리)

  • Recently, many researchers are interested in using join queries to correlate sensor readings stored in different regions. In the conventional algorithm, the preliminary join coordinator collects the synopsis from sensor nodes and determines a set of sensor readings that are required for processing the join query. Then, the base station collects only a part of sensor readings instead of whole readings and performs the final join process. However, it has a problem that incurs communication overhead for processing the preliminary join. In this paper, we propose a novel energy-efficient in-network join scheme that solves such a problem. The proposed scheme determines a preliminary join coordinator located to minimize the communication cost for the preliminary join. The coordinator prunes data that do not contribute to the join result and performs the compression of sensor readings in the early stage of the join processing. Therefore, the base station just collects a part of compressed sensor readings with the decompression table and determines the join result from them. In the result, the proposed scheme reduces communication costs for the preliminary join processing and prolongs the network lifetime.

A comparative study on creativity according to major of college students: focusing on pre-service early childhood teachers, pre-designers and pre-engineers (대학생의 전공에 따른 창의성 비교 연구 : 예비유아교사, 예비디자이너, 예비공학자를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences of creativity according to major of college students focusing on pre-service early childhood teachers, pre-designers and pre-engineers. The subjects were 132 four grade of university students attending K and T university in Busan, Korea. Data were analyzed with one-way MANOVA to find out the differences of creativity according to their major. Results of this study as follows: first, overall creativity was significantly higher in preliminary designers than pre-service early childhood teachers and pre-engineers. Second, the fluency of pre-service early childhood teachers and pre-designers was significantly higher than that of pre-service engineers. The abstraction was significantly higher in pre-service early childhood teachers than pre-engineers. The elaboration of pre-designers was significantly higher than that of pre-service teachers and pre-engineers. Openness was significantly higher in pre-designers than pre-engineers, and pre-engineers were significantly higher than pre-service early childhood teachers. Therefore, this study suggests that the major in creativity curriculum and program development for college students should be considered, and the results of this study will be used as basic data of the creativity education program.

예비발효 및 압출조리 전처리가 쌀-대두분 혼합액의 유산균 발효에 미치는 영향

  • 쌀을 기질로 하는 유산균 음료 발효에서 Bacillus와 효모의 혼합배용을 이용한 고체상태 예비발효와 extruder를 이용한 압출조리 전처리가 유산균의 생육을 증진하는 효과에 대하여 검토하였다. Bacillus laevolacticus 와 Saccharomyces cerevisiae의 혼합배양을 쌀과 탈지 대두분의 혼합물에 접종하여 고체 상태로 45$^{\circ}C$에서 배양한 후 자가발열형 단일촉압출성형기를 통하여 처리함으로서 살균과 조직의 변화를 도모하였다. 이렇게 처리된 물질을 분산액으로 만들어 Lactobacillus plantaum 과 Leuconostoc mesenteroides 혼합배양을 접종하여 유산발효시켰다. 예비발효와 압출조리에 의하여 유산균의 증식속도와 산생성이 증가하였으며 가용성 고형분의 함량이 크게 증가하였고 분산 안정성이 향상되었고 관능적 기호도 증가하였다.

  • 현재 국내에서 운용되는 해상용 항로표지는 기존 제품 보다 활용성이 크게 향상되었고, LED전구를 적용하여 운용기간도 연장되었으나, 고장시 대처방법이 없으며, 유지보수에 추가적인 비용이 발생하고 있다. 이와 관련하여 본 논문에서는 항로표지에 주광원과 예비광원을 동시에 형성하여 주광원 고장시 예비광원으로 운용이 가능한 LED 해상용 항로표지에 적용되는 제어회로를 개발하고 구현 하였다.

A Study of the Metal Recovery from the Aluminium Scrap (Al 스크랩으로부터 금속회수에 관한 연구)

  • In the preparatIon of reclaimed aluminium lllgot from alumimum scrap, the aluminium recovery was studied a as a function of the preliminary treatment of samples, addition of flux and melting atmosphere. AI dross is produced by an oxidation reaction at the surface of liquid metal. The recovery of AI metal increases u up to maximum 95% by adding salt up to 7%, The recovery of AI metal in the compacted chip bale without oil removal mcrease about 14% compared io non-compacted chip. In the case of the AI seed melting process, the recovery of Al metal of the crushed and compacted chip hale is 97%, In meltmg of alumimum scrap under the atmosphere of carbon and nitrogen gas, the recovery of AI metal increase, but it is decreased when the mixture of salt and carbon powder is added excessively.

How Do Korean and U.S. Elementary Preservice Teachers Analyze Students' Addition and Subtraction Computational Strategies and Errors? (한국과 미국 예비 초등교사는 자연수 덧셈과 뺄셈 연산에 대한 학생의 수학적 전략과 오류를 어떻게 분석하는가?)

  • This study explores and compares Korean and U.S. elementary preservice teachers' analytic approaches of students' addition and subtraction computational strategies. Twenty-six Korean and twenty U.S. elementary preservice teachers participated in the study. Participants were asked to analyze mathematical approaches and errors from students' addition and subtraction operations. Preservice teachers' written documents were analyzed by applying open coding and inductive coding based on the grounded theory. As a result, the pattern of error analysis and interpretation of students' addition computations were similar for both Korean and U.S. preservice teachers whereas there were some differences in the analysis of students' subtraction computations. Both Korean and U.S. preservice teachers had difficulties identifying students' strategies and errors for a complicated and unconventional computational approach. Results also indicated that preservice teachers' noticing and interpretation of students' strategies and errors were influenced by their K-12 mathematics curriculum and teacher education program. This study suggests implications and future directions for teacher education, more contextualized teacher preparation programs and balanced connection to the K-12 curriculum.
