Generalizability Analysis of Teaching Aptitude and Personality Test for Pre-service Engineering Teachers in a Graduate School of Education (교육대학원 예비공학교사의 교직 적성·인성 검사에서 일반화가능도 분석)

  • This study examined the fairness of the teaching aptitude and personality test assigned to pre-service engineering teachers in a graduate school of education based on measurement traits. For this study, we analyzed the teaching aptitude and personality test scores of 99 students enrolled in engineering education in a graduate school of education located in the Seoul metropolitan area from 2013 to 2017. The main results were as follows. First, the estimated variance due to residual was generally the highest, followed by nesting of items within domains, pre-service engineering teachers, interactions of pre-service engineering teachers with domains, domains, and occasions. Second, dependability coefficients were better indicators than Cronbach's because the latter may have been overestimated by applying the traditional reliability coefficient in inappropriate manners. Third, the teaching aptitude and personality test can be applied to pre-service engineering teachers in a graduate school of education based on empirical evidence considering dependability coefficients. Fourth, a total of 96 items from the original 210 items, with 2 occasions and 12 domains containing 8 items in each domain, were optimal measurement conditions to reach adequate degrees of reliability based on the total number of items. Finally, the results were discussed, the study limitations described and future research directions proposed.

  • 통합교육의 실시와 다문화 가정의 자녀 증가 등으로 학교 교실의 구성원들이 다양화 되고 있다. 그러나 제한적인 매체와 전통적인 교육과정, 교수방법 및 평가 등의 사용으로 학습자들의 다양성을 고려되지 못하고 있다. 본 연구는 디지털화 교수매체의 활용함으로써 다양한 학습자들의 정보에 대한 접근성을 보장해 주고 나아가 교육현장에서 보편적 학습설계(Universal Design for Learning: UDL)를 적용하여 학습자의 다양성을 보장하는데 그 목적을 둔다. 교육현장에 UDL 적용에 대한 예비교사와 현직교사의 그룹 토론을 통해, UDL의 적용가능성과 적용함에 있어서 어려움을 알아보았다. 그 결과, 정해진 교육과정과 교재, 다양한 학습자에 대한 교사의 전문성 부족, 학생들 간의 학습 차이, 학급당 많은 학생수, 교사의 많은 업무량 등 여러 가지 문제점으로 UDL 적용이 어렵다고 하였다. 해결방안으로 교수설계에 UDL의 적용과 다양한 디지털화 교수매체의 활용으로 접근성 보장을 제안하였다. 교육현장에서의 UDL 확대와 다양한 학습자들의 접근성이 보장된 교육을 할 수 있도록 교사들이 수업에서의 UDL 적용 방안에 대해 제시하였다.

A Study on the Multi-Level Artificial Neural Networks Using Genetic Algorithm for Preliminary Structural Design (예비 구조설계를 위한 유전알고리즘을 이용한 다단계 인공신경망에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, the Artificial Neural Network(ANN) which can organize complex non-linear problems by effectively applying the parallel computational model that is similar to the human brain, was adopted in the wide department of technology and resulted in many successful applications. In this study, a more appropriate formal method is suggested for the preliminary structural design stage controlled merely by the designer's experience and intuition. To do so, this study proposes a multi-level ANN according to the general progressive structural design procedure, using Back-Propagation Algorithm (BP) and Genetic Algorithm (GA) for the ANN learning. The preliminary structural design of cable-stayed bridges was applied to illustrate the applicability of the study formulated as stated above, and the results of two different learning methods were compared.

The Effects of Educational Contents Authoring in a Project-Based Learning using NetLogo for Pre-service Teachers' Creativity (PBL 기반의 NetLogo를 이용한 교육용 콘텐츠 저작이 예비중등교사의 창의성에 미치는 효과)

  • The objective of this study is the analysis of the effects of educational contents authoring in a PBL using NetLogo Pre-service teachers' creativity. With utilization of the analysis, we attempted to draw implications on the factors considered in instructional design. To compare their creativity before and after class, we have done pre-service teachers test for each Pre- and Post- TTCT and LCT. Based on the analysis, as a result, there has been a significant improvement in their creativity, most especially in the 'fluency' subcategory.

A Web-based Virtual Laboratory for Basic Electrical Circuits (웹기반 기초전기회로 가상실험실)

  • This paper presents a virtual laboratory system which can be creating efficiencies in the learning process. The proposed virtual laboratory system for electrical circuits provides interactive learning environment under which the multimedia capabilities of world-wide web can be enhanced. The virtual laboratory system is implemented to describe the on-campus laboratory, the learners can obtain similar experimental data through it. In the proposed virtual laboratory system, every activity occurred in the virtual laboratory will be recorded on database and printed it out on the preliminary report form. The database connectivity is made by PHP and the virtual laboratory environment is set up slightly differently for each learner The virtual laboratory system is composed of four important components : Principle classroom, Simulation classroom, Virtual experiment classroom and Management system. Learning efficiencies as well as faculty productivity are increased in this innovative teaching and learning environment.

  • 본 연구는 한국어 대화인지모형을 구축하는 데 필요한 화용론적 지식에 관한 연구의 일환으로, 부대화의 개시 및 종료 시점에서 나타나는 담화 참여자의 의도 및 그 의도와 관련된 표층표지를 분석하고, 나아가 필수 논항 성분의 하나로서 대화체에서는 자주 생략되어 나타나는 청화자 논항의 의미복원을 위한 예비적 단계로서 술어의 어미 특성 및 화자의 언어행위 혹은 화행과 관련하여 청자 논항의 생략 유형을 분류하고 분석했다. 이러한 연구는 한국어 대화 에이전트를 개발하는데 있어 필수적인 단계로서 향후 대화체 이해시스템 연구에 기초적인 틀을 제공해 줄 수 있다.

  • The purpose of this study is to reduce the barriers to entry into the government- supported startups and to contribute to the improvement of public policy services of the government. To do this, we identify the difficulties and problems that pre-founders are experiencing through startup cases of young entrepreneurs established in 2018, and provide practical help for pre-founders to experience their utility in preparation for government-supported startups, the need for public services to do so. And to propose a mentoring service to help the successful startup of policy-oriented user. This study is effective to adopt and apply the public service design process and methodology to the development of public policy service for the pre-founder who is preparing for government support centered startup. This study is meaningful that it presents one approach that can be considered when the government wants to develop and improve public policy services.

  • Along with high-rise buildings, complex buildings used by many unspecified people, such as various buildings and underground-linked buildings, are increasing. In particular, high-rise buildings are accompanied by a number of casualties and a lot of property damage in the event of a disaster, so reinforced integrated disaster management is necessary. The High-Rise Disaster Management Act stipulates that a general disaster manager is appointed and requires stricter safety management tasks than other buildings. Therefore, this study aims to analyze and present item factors for a preliminary survey of job satisfaction of general disaster managers through literature research and expert verification.

Beyond adaptation: Transforming pedagogies of teaching elementary mathematics methods course in the online environment (온라인 환경에서 초등 수학 방법론 수업의 교수법 변화)

  • The unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted, interrupted, and changed the way we normally prepare our teacher candidates in teacher preparation programs. In this paper, we, two mathematics teacher educators (MTEs), reflect our own experiences in appropriating, transforming, reconstructing, and modifying our pedagogies of teacher education in making a transition from face-to-face to online environment during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using a collaborative self-study, we discussed issues, challenges, changes, opportunities, and innovations of teaching an elementary mathematics methods course in the online environment. Using a constant comparison method, we explored the following three themes: (1) using virtual manipulatives; (2) creating collaborative, interactive, and shared learning experiences for preservice teachers; and (3) making preservice teachers engaged in student thinking. These findings indicated that online teaching requires transformative knowledge for teacher educators. Transferring face-to-face to online is not a simple matter of putting the existing content to online; it should focus on pedagogical improvement in teaching mathematics rather than technology's sake or how it can be repurposed in a new online environment in a way that students' learning is optimized. The findings of this study provide implications for unpacking MTEs' technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK), creating collaborative learning experiences for preservice teachers, and designing a collaborative self-study between MTEs engaged in the community of professional learning.

  • 본 논문에서는 센서네트워크 환경에서 에너지 효율적인 인-네트워크 조인 질의 처리기법을 제안한다. 제안된 기법은 데이터의 요약된 정보 시놉시스를 사용한다. 각 영역의 전체 시놉시스의 크기를 고려 하여 예비 조인 조정자를 선정하는 방법과 최종 데이터를 싱크 노드로 전송하는 비용을 줄인다. 제안하는 기법의 우수성을 보이기 위해 기존 기법과의 성능 비교를 수행한다.
