Image Cryptography for Secure Video Conference System (안전한 화상회의 시스템을 위한 영상암호화)

  • Video conference system has guided swiftness of information transmission and business processing taking away time and manufacturing drug of space that is happened that long-distance people gather and talk. But, leakage of important meeting contents, peculation etc.. in that execute video -conferences can happen. Therefore, research about video conference system of safety is progressing under secure superhigh speed information communication fetters. This treatise studied about techniques to encipher videotex to prevent variation and outward flow of burn information, peculation etc.. except general encryption notation such as user certification to have drawn problem about stability of general video conference system, and is used present as countermeasure about here. Used improved Vernam's encryption techniques to encrypt videotex.

An Efficient Implementation of AES Encryption Algorithm for CCTV Image Security (CCTV 영상보안 위한 AES 암호 알고리듬의 효율적인 구현)

  • In this paper, an efficient implementation of AES encryption algorithm is presented for CCTV image security using C# language. In this approach, an efficient S-Box is first designed for reducing the computation time which is required in each round process of AES algorithm, and then an CCTV image security system is implemented on the basis of this algorithm on a composite field GF(((22)2)2). In addition, the shared S-Box structure is designed for realizing the minimized memory space, which is used in each round transformation and key scheduling processes. Through performance evaluation, it was confirmed that the proposed method is more efficient than the existing method. The proposed CCTV system in C# language using Visual studio 2010.

  • For the efficient image encryption, we proposed the encryption algorithm using the chaotic function and elementary matrix operation defined on the bit plane decomposition. Though the chaotic encryption algorithm is faster than block encryption, it uses a real number computation. In this sense, we use the row and column operations on the bit-plane decomposed images combined with logistic function for the recursive rounding number, too.

  • This paper presents the first hardware design of ARIA that KSA(Korea Standards Association) decided as the block encryption standard at Dec. 2004. The ARIA cryptographic algorithm has an efficient involution SPN (Substitution Permutation Network) and is immune to known attacks. The proposed ARIA design based on 1 cycle/round include a dual port ROM to reduce a size of circuit md a high speed round key generator with barrel rotator. ARIA design proposed is implemented with Xilinx VirtexE-1600 FPGA. Throughput is 437 Mbps using 1,491 slices and 16 RAM blocks. To demonstrate the ARIA system operation, we developed a security system cyphering video data of communication though Internet. ARIA addresses applications with high-throughput like data storage and internet security protocol (IPSec and TLS) as well as IC cards.

  • In general, the steganographic algorithm for embedding message in JPEG images, such as Jsteg$^{(1)}$ , JP Hide & Seek$^{(2)}$ , F5$^{(3)}$ , outGuess$^{(4)}$ replaces the LSB of DCT coefficients by the message bits. Both Jsteg and n Hide & seek are detected by $\chi$$^2$- test, steganalytic technique$^{(4)}$ , the rate of detection is very low, though. In this Paper, we Propose a new steganalysis method that determine not only the existence of hidden messages in JPEG images exactly, but also the steganographic algorithm used. This method is advanced from the technique Blockiness$^{(5)}$ . It has many advantages that include a computational efficiency, correctness and that can detect without bowing steganographic algorithm. Experiment results show the superiority of our approach over Blockiness$^{(5)}$ .

  • Various research groups proposed various architecture of hardware VPN for the high performance VPN system. However, the VPN based on hardware researcher are focused only on the encryption acceleration. Soft based VPN is only useful when the network connection is slow. We have to consider the hardware performance (encryption/decryption processing capability, packet processing, architecture method) to implement hardware based VPN. In this paper, we have analysed architecture of hardware, consideration and problems for high-speed VPN system, From the result, we can choose the proper design guideline.

  • An encryption and decryption method using phase mapping of a gray scale image based on a phase-shifting interferometry principle is proposed in which an encrypted image is formed into complex digital hologram function by symmetric security key in the proposed encryption system.. The gray scale image to be encrypted is converted to phase mapped function that is mixed with a randomly generated binary security encryption key and is used as an input. Decryption of phase information is performed by complex digital hologram and security encryption key, which reconstructs the original gray scale image by phase unmapping. The proposed method confirms that correlation coefficient of the decrypted image is 0.995 when quantization level of CCD is 8-bits(28=256 levels).

  • Steganography is one of information hiding technologies and discriminated from cryptography in that it focuses on avoiding the existence the hidden information from being detected by third parties, rather than protecting it from being decoded. In this paper, as an image steganography method which uses images as media, we propose a new block matching method that embeds information into the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) domain. The proposed method, based on a statistical analysis, reduces loss of embedding capacity due to inequable use of candidate blocks. It works in such a way that computes the variance of each candidate block, preserves candidate blocks with high frequency components while reducing candidate blocks with low frequency components by compressing them exploiting the k-means clustering algorithm. Compared with the previous block matching method, the proposed method can reconstruct secret images with similar PSNRs while embedding higher-capacity information.

  • As one of schemes to protect multimedia content. it is the selective encryption scheme to encrypt partially multimedia content. Compared AES(advanced encryption standard) of traditional encryption, the selective encryption scheme provides low security but is applicable to applications of multimedia content not to require high secrecy. In this paper, we improve the image scrambling scheme proposed by Van De Ville which scrambles an image without bandwidth expansion using DPSS(discrete prolate spheroidal sequence) to make it more secure based on Shujun's research which verifies the secrecy of Van De Ville's scheme. The proposed method utilizes an orthonormalized random matrix instead of Hadamard matrix for secret matrix and to add it for providing high secrecy against statistical attack or known-plaintext attack using some statistical property or estimate of secret matrix from a scrambled image. The experimental results show that the proposed method is more secure than the existing scheme. In addition, we show that the proposed method can be applied to access control or copy control of watermarking application.

  • Digital watermarking is a technique used to hide information within digital media. Digital watermarking techniques can be classified as either robust watermarking or fragile watermarking. Robust watermarking techniques are generally used for the purpose of copyright protection. In addition, fragile watermarking techniques are used for the authentication and integrity verification of a digital image. Therefore, fragile watermarks should be easily breakable for trivial tampering of a watermarked image. This paper proposes an efficient fragile watermarking method for image tamper detection in the spatial domain. In the proposed method, a hash code and symmetric key encryption algorithm are used. The proposed method of inserting a watermark by dividing the original image into many blocks of small sizes is not weak against attacks, such as cut and paste. The proposed method can detect the manipulated parts of a watermarked image without testing the entire block of the image.
