Microstructures and Mechanical Properties of API J55 steel with Heat treatment conditions and Alloying elements(B, Ti) (API J55강의 미세조직과 기계적 특성에 미치는 열처리 및 합금원소(B, Ti)의 영향)

  • This study examined the effect of the heat treatment and alloying elements (B, Ti) on the microstructures and mechanical properties of API J55 steel. The experiments were carried out using various austenization temperatures ($880^{\circ}C$, $910^{\circ}C$, $940^{\circ}C$), cooling methods (water quenching, oil quenching) and tempering temperatures (none, $550^{\circ}C$, $650^{\circ}C$) with J55 and J55+B,Ti steels. The phase diagram and CCT curve were simulated based on the chemical compositions of the J55 and J55+B,Ti steels to predict the microstructures. The results showed that the A1 and A3 temperatures decreased and, as a result, the noses of the ferrite and bainite parts of the CCT curve moved to the right. Various microstructures were formed, namely martensite, bainite, ferrite and pearlite, in accordance with the heat treatment, which had an effect on the hardness, tensile strength and toughness. Martensite was formed after water quenching, but bainite and ferrite appeared after oil quenching with the J55 specimens. On the other hand, martensite was formed, regardless of the cooling method (water quenching, oil quenching), with the J55+B,Ti specimens, because of the improvement of the hardenability caused by the addition of boron. Therefore, the J55+B,Ti specimens exhibited much higher mechanical properties than the J55 specimens, even after the tempering treatment, since the addition of Ti caused fine precipitates to be formed, which inhibited grain growth at the recrystallization temperature.

Effects of Metal Ions Mole Ratio, pH and Heat Treatment Condition on the Magnetic Properties and Formation of Co-precipitated M-type Barium Ferrite Powders (공침법으로 합성한 바륨 페라이트(BaM)의 형성과 자기적 성질에 미치는 금속이온 몰 비 및 pH와 열처리 조건의 영향)

  • M-type barium ferrite (BaFe12O19) powders were synthesized through the co-precipitation method. Starting material composition $Fe^{3+}:\;Ba^{2+}$ mole ratio was fixed as 8 and the relative amount of $Fe^{3+}$ and $Ba^{2+}$ was controlled. Structure and magnetic properties and powder morphology were investigated using XRD, SEM, VSM. Powder showing high coercivity and small magnetization was obtained at pH8 and $Fe_{3+}:\;Ba_{2+}$ of 12 : 1.5. Small magnetization value was originated from the existence of ${\alpha}-Fe_2O_3$. Single-phase Mtype barium ferrite were obtained regardless of the heat treatment condition and the amount of $Fe_{3+}\;and\;Ba_{2+}$ at pH$\approx$10. The largest value of magnetization (55.7 emu/g) under investigation were obtained when $Fe_{3+}:\;Ba_{2+}$ of 13.6 : 1.7 and furnace cooled powder in $O_2$. Particle size of powder was in the range of 50~200 nm.

게이트 유전체용 $HfO_2$ 박막의 증착 및 열처리 조건에 따른 Nano-Mechanical 특성 연구

  • MOSFET 구조에서 metal oxide에 기반을 둔 게이트 유전체의 연구는 실리콘(Si)을 기반으로 한 반도체 발명이래로 가장 인상적인 발전을 이뤄 왔다. 이는 metal oxide의 높은 유전상수 특성이 $SiO_2$보다 우수하고, 유전체 박막의 두께 감소로 인한 전기적 특성 저하를 보완하기 때문이다. 특히 지난 10년 동안, Hafnium에 기반을 둔 $HfO_2$는 차세대 반도체용 유전 물질로 전기적 구조적 특성에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되어왔다. 그러나 현재까지 $HfO_2$에 대한 nano-mechanical 특성 연구는 미미하여 이에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 Hf 및 $HfO_2$ 박막의 증착 및 열처리 조건을 다르게 하여 실험을 진행하였다. 시료는 rf magnetron sputter를 이용하여 Si 기판위에 Hafnium target으로 산소유량(4, 6 sccm)을 달리하여 증착하였고, 이후 furnace에서 400에서 $800^{\circ}C$까지 질소분위기에서 20분간 열처리를 실시하였다. 실험결과 산소 유량을 6 sccm으로 증착한 시료의 current density 성능이 모든 열처리 과정에서 증가하였다. Nano-indenter로 측정하고 Weibull distribution으로 정량적 계산을 한 경도 (Hardness)는 as-deposited 시료를 기준으로 $400^{\circ}C$에서는 감소했으나 온도가 높아질수록 증가하였다. 특히, $400^{\circ}C$ 열처리한 시료에서 산소농도에(4 sccm : 5.35 GPa, 6 sccm : 6.15 GPa)따른 두 시료간의 변화가 가장 두드러졌다. 반면에, 탄성계수 (Elastic modulus)는 산소농도 6 sccm을 넣고 증착된 시료들이 4 sccm을 넣고 증착한 시료보다 모두 높은 값을 나타냈다. 또한, $800^{\circ}C$ 열처리한 시료에서 산소농도에(4 sccm : 128.88 GPa, 6 sccm : 149.39 GPa)따라 표면의 탄성에 큰 차이가 있음을 확인하였다. 이는 증착된 $HfO_2$ 시료들이 비정질 상태에서 $HfO_2$로 결정화되는 과정에서 산소가 증가할수록 박막의 defect이 감소되기 때문으로 사료된다.

  • Shallow $p^{+}$-n junctions were formed by preamorphization, low-energy ion implantation and dual-step annealing processes. Germanium ions were implanted into silicon substrates for preamorphization. The dopant implantation was performed into the preamorphized and non-preamorphized substrates using B $F_2$2 ions. Rapid thermal anneal (RTA) and furnace anneal (FA) were employed for dopant activation and damage removal. Samples were annealed by one of the following four methods; RTA(75$0^{\circ}C$/10s)+Ft FA+RTA(75$0^{\circ}C$/10s), RTA(100$0^{\circ}C$/10s)+FA, FA+The Ge Preamorphized sample exhibited a shallower junction depth than the non-preamorphized sample. When the employed RTA temperature was 100$0^{\circ}C$, FA+RTA annealing sequence exhibited better junction characteristics than RTA+FA thermal cycle from the viewpoint of junction depth, sheet resistance, $R_{s}$$.$ $x_{j}$, and leakage current.t.

  • Surface hardening treatment is required to improve the wear-resistance of press die because severe abrasion of die occurs during the drawing process in which the forming of the automotive body is completed and during the trimming process in which the unnecessary parts are cut. In this study, experiments on the laser surface treatment of press die are performed. Specimens are heat-treated separately at certain plate and edge position by using a diode laser to carry out suitable surface hardening treatment to reduce the wear during the drawing and the trimming processes, and the proper conditions for heat treatment are found. Spheroidal and flake graphite cast iron specimens are used, and the heat treatment characteristics of the two materials are compared. From the results of the study, it is confirmed that the heat treatment characteristics differed depending on the materials.

주조방법에 따른 주얼리 제품(14K yellow gold alloy)의 특성비교 및 열처리 전과 후 특성변화

  • 현재 국내 주얼리(gold alloy) 제품을 생산함에 있어 주조 방법은 크게 대기 중 주조(흡입주조) 방법과 진공주조 방법으로 나누어진다. 국내 주얼리 제조업체의 약 90%이상이 대기 중에서 주조하는 흡입주조방법을 통해 제품을 제작하고 있고, 국외의 경우, 대다수 진공주조방법을 통해 제품을 제작하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 주얼리 제품을 생산할 때 사용되는 합금재료(master alloy)가 동일한 조건에서 주조방법을 달리하여 각각 24개씩 총 48개의 14K yellow gold alloy 제품을 제작한 후 열처리를 통해 각각의 기계적, 물리적 특성분석을 비교 분석하였다. EPMA (Electron Probe Micro Analysis)분석을 통해 합금재료 및 제품의 구성성분을 조사하였고, ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectroscopy)를 사용하여 성분에 대한 정량분석을 실시하였다. 용체화처리(solid solution treatment)는 $700^{\circ}C$, 30분의 조건으로 실시하였고, 시효경화처리(age-hardening)는 $200{\sim}300^{\circ}C$의 온도범위에서 $50^{\circ}C$ 간격으로 실시하였다. 열처리 전과 후 시료의 grain 들의 배열 및 size 변화를 관찰하기 위해 식각 후 OM (optical microscope) 및 SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope)를 통해 분석하였다. 열처리 전 제품의 경도측정결과 대기 중 흡입주조방법 및 진공 주조방법을 통해 제작된 제품이 각각 119 Hv, 126 Hv로 나타났고, 용체화 처리 후 98 Hv, 92 Hv로 감소하였다. 시효경화 처리 후의 경도변화는 대기 중 흡입주조 및 진공주조방법을 통해 제작된 제품 모두 $270^{\circ}C$에서 각각 154 HV, 166 HV로 가장 높은 경도 값을 나타내었고, $270^{\circ}C$ 이상에서는 과시효(over aging)현상으로 인해 경도 값이 다시 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. EPMA mapping 분석을 통해 주조방법에 따라 각각 제품의 구성성분분포도를 확인하였다. 이를 통해 열처리 전 다소 불균일하게 분포되었던 성분들이 열처리 후 균일해짐을 확인할 수 있었다.

적외선 센서용 VOx/ZnO/VOx 박막 증착 및 특성 연구

  • 비냉각 적외선 검출기는 산업용 군사용으로 최근 각광을 받고 있다. 이는 주야간 빛이 없는 곳에서도 사물의 열을 감지할 수 있어 인체감지 및 보안감시, 에너지 절감 등에 응용될 수 있는 핵심부품이다. 비냉각 적외선 검출기로는 재료의 저항의 변화를 감지하는 마이크로볼로미터형이 가장 많이 사용된다. 감지재료로는 비정질 실리콘(a-Si)과 산화바나듐(VOx)이 가장 많이 사용된다. VOx 박막은 일반적으로 RF sputtering 방법으로 증착이 되며, 저항이 낮고, 저항의 온도변화 계수(TCR)가 크며 신호 대 잡음 특성이 우수한 반면 산소(oxygen) phase가 다양하여 갓 증착된 상태의 박막은 재현성이 떨어지는 단점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 V 타겟을 사용한 VOx 박막을 증착하는 방법을 개선하여 ZnO 나노박막을 중간에 삽입하여 저항 특성을 조절할 뿐만 아니라 열처리에 의해 TCR 값을 향상시키고, VO2 phase 가 주로 나타나는 박막 증착 및 공정 방법을 소개한다. RF sputtering 장비를 이용하여 산소와 아르곤 가스의 혼합비를 4.5로 하였으며, VOx 증착 시 플라즈마 Power는 150 W 로 하여 상온에서 증착하였다. 갓 증착된 VOx 다층박막의 XRD 스펙트럼은 V2O5 피크가 주된 상을 이루고 있었으며, 산소열처리에 의해 VO2 상이 주로 나타남을 알 수 있었다. TCR 값은 갓 증착된 샘플에서 -0.13%/K의 값을 얻었으며, $300^{\circ}C$에서 50분간 열처리 후 -3.37%/K 으로 급격히 향상됨을 알 수 있었다. 저항은 열처리 후 약 100 kohm으로 낮아져 검출소자를 위한 조건에 적합한 특성을 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 산소열처리의 온도 및 시간에 따라 TCR 및 표면 거칠기 특성을 조사하였으며, 최적의 열처리 조건을 얻고자 하였다.

Improvement of protein extraction efficiency from defatted sesame meal with thermal and enzymatic treatments (열 처리와 효소 처리에 의한 탈지 참깨박 단백질의 추출율 향상)

  • In order to increase the utilization of defatted sesame meal (DSM), a by-product of sesame oil production, the conditions of extraction of insoluble proteins from DSM by enzyme treatment were investigated. As a result of comparing the treatment results of proteolytic enzymes Alcalase, Flavorzyme, Neutrase, and Protamex with control, Protamex was effective in increasing the total solid and protein content. At the reaction conditions of Protamex (50 ℃, pH 6.0), the dosage of enzymes was appropriate for 1% of DSM and 3 h of enzyme reaction time. To improve the efficiency of enzymatic treatment, the protein content extracted increased as the heat treatment temperature increased, and slightly increased above 110 ℃. As a result of investigating the effect of the combination treatment of cell lytic enzyme (Tunicase) and protease (Protamex) on protein solubilization, it was most effective to treat the cell lytic enzyme after processing the protease. After heat treatment (110 ℃, 10 min), sequential treatment of Protamex and Tunicase increased the protein content by about 3.5 times (9.85→35.58 mg/mL) of the non-heated control and 2.2 times (15.83→35.58 mg/mL) of the heat treated control.

Effect of the redox flow battery and electrode characteristics according to the heat treatment temperature of a carbon felt (탄소펠트의 열처리 온도에 따른 레독스흐름전지와 전극 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • Carbon felts manufactured by (Co)CNF were subjected to heat treatment under different temperatures to use for the electrode of a redox-flow battery. BET and weight loss were tested to investigate the physical properties of the carbon felt according to the heat treatment conditions. SEM and XPS were also analyzed to characterize their surface area. In addition, electrical resistance, CV (cyclic voltammetry) and RFB charge on the electrode properties were examined in accordance with the heat treatment conditions with the discharge performance. The changes of physical properties on the carbon felt surface was confirmed via SEM and BET analysis, The most addition of oxygen functional groups on the carbon felt surface was obtained when one hour heat treatment at $550^{\circ}C$ and it was confirmed by XPS analysis. After resulting the CV tests, the active area of the electrode was the largest at $550^{\circ}C$ heat treatment. The heat treatment experiment of vanadium redox flow battery using the carbon felts were tested at $400^{\circ}C$, $500^{\circ}C$ and $550^{\circ}C$. As a result, the charge-discharge energy efficiency of the heat treatment electrode was 72.9% and 79.8%, at $400^{\circ}C$ and $500^{\circ}C$, respectively. The efficiency of the heat treatment electrode at $550^{\circ}C$ was the best as 79.8% at $550^{\circ}C$.

Effect of heat treatment on quality characteristics and antioxidant activity of Korean traditional actinidia (Actinidia arguta) cultivars puree (열처리 조건이 토종 다래 (Actinidia arguta) 퓨레의 품질 특성 및 항산화활성에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigated the effect of heat treatment conditions on the quality and antioxidant activities of Korean traditional actinidia (Actinidia arguta) cultivars puree. Heat treatment on actinidia puree was conducted at $70{\sim}90^{\circ}C$ for 1 min to 5 mins, while a control sample of the actinidia puree was prepared without heat treatment. In all the samples, except for the sample treated at $90^{\circ}C$ for 5 mins, pH and Brix degree was not dramatically changed. Pulp content decreased with increasing temperature and time. L and the a value of color increased with increasing temperature and time. However, the b value showed a reverse tendency with L and the a value. Viscosity and gumminess increased as heat temperature and time increased, though cohesiveness was not significantly changed depending on temperature and time. Coliform and yeast were not detected on all samples and the number of aerobic bacteria and mold decreased as temperature and time increased. Vitamin C and total phenolic content of the puree was not changed for 1, 3, and 5 mins at $70^{\circ}C$ and for 1 and 3 mins at $80^{\circ}C$, but significantly decreased with increasing time at $90^{\circ}C$. Furthermore, the antioxidant activities of the puree, such as DPPH radical scavenging activity, ABTS radical scavenging activity, and FRAP (ferric reducing antioxidant power) showed a similar tendency with total phenolic content.
