Recovery of Cobalt from the Wastewater produced during Malonate Process by Solvent Extraction (말로네이트 제조 공정 폐수로부터 코발트 회수: 용매추출법 적용)

  • The solvent extraction method was applied on the wastewater produced during malonate(malonic acid esters) process to recover cobalt. DEHPA and PC88A were used as organic solvent From separation funnel experiment(batch experiment), the effects of vari- ous parameters (pH, cobalt concentration, reaction rate, and stripping temperature) on solvent extraction were examined and these data were used to derive equilibrium curve. A mixer-settler experiment (continuous experiment) of bench scale was also carried out for the plant construction and a Mccabe-Thiele diagram was obtained. The results of these experiments indicate that cobalt is recoverable above 99 oyo and that its purity as cobalt sulfate Is higher than 99.9 wt%.

  • 2차원 도면으로부터 3차원 입체형상으로의 재구성은 CAD/CAM에서 많이 연구되어 온 분야이다. 이 논문에서는 건축에서 쓰이는 3점 소실법을 이용하여, 자유곡선을 포함하는 하나의 투시도로부터 3차원 정보를 추출하고, 그 위상학적 관계와 loop detection 알고리즘을 통해서 면정보를 추출한다. 추출된 면정보를 입체 구조로 변환하고 연속성을 부여한다. 그리고 쉬운 사용자 인터페이스를 제공하여 사용자의 의도에 맞는 적절한 입체영상을 만들어 내고자 하였다.

Application of Soil Washing Technology for Arsenic Contaminated Soil (비소로 오염된 토양에 대한 토양세척기법의 적용성 연구)

  • Several tests were conducted to optimize design parameters of soil washing technique for arsenic contaminated tailings and soils. Arsenic contaminated tailings and soils have been sampled from the N nine, Kwangwondo and the K mine, Kyungsangbukdo, respectively. According to the result of sequential extraction procedure, total arsenic concentrations were 21,028 $\pm$ 190, 443$\pm$7, and 37$\pm$3 mg/kg, for mine tailings, dry field, and river sedimentary soil, respectively. The subtotal of weakly bonded and easily releasable arsenic concentrations which were 2,284$\pm$100 (10.9%), 151$\pm$5 (34.0%), 15$\pm$3 (39.5%)mg/kg for mine tailings, dry field, and river sedimentary soil, respectively. Kinetics of arsenic extraction using NaOH showed that arsenic was extracted more than 90% after 6 hours for all samples. The optimized concentration of NaOH were 200 mM for all samples while the optimized dilution ratio were different to have 1:10 (mine tailings) and 1:5 (dry field, river sedimentary soil), respectively. Results of sequential soil washing tests using NaOH showed that arsenic concentrations obtained by Korean Standard Test Procedure were decreased to meet the regulation for both river sedimentary soil and dry field while they were not decreased largely for mine tailings, even though NaOH had much higher efficiencies of arsenic extraction than other extractants.

  • Tailings and contaminated soils from Cheongyang mine and Seobo mine have been analysed by ICP-AES from 5-step sequential extraction method of multielement determination on extraction solutions at each step. As and Co within tailings and contaminated soils from Cheongyang mine and Seobo mine are mainly in the residual phase. In case of Cd, Cu and Zn, the most dominant fraction for tailings of Cheongyang mine is the oxidizable phase, while tailings of Seobo mine is dominated by the residual phase. In contaminated soils from Seobo mine, the predominant fraction for Cd, Cu and Zn is the Fe-Mn oxide phase. The exchangeable fraction of Pb in tailings from Cheongyang mine and Seobo mine is relatively high compared with those of other metals; whereas Pb fraction in contaminated soils from Seobo mine is largely associated with the residual fraction.

  • Volatile components of pinenut were identified. Pinenut was extracted by simultaneous distillation and extraction method after Soxhlet extraction. The odor profile of the extract was very similar to that of pinenut. This extract was then fractionated into four fractions by Preparative TLC. These all fractions were analyzed by a combination of glass capillary gas chromatography (FTD, FID capillary GC) and mass spectrometry. One hundred and nine components, including 26 hydrocarbons,17 esters,16 aldehydes,12 ketones,31 alcohols, 11 bases, 2 acids and 3 miscellaneous components were identified.

Extension of K-L Dynamic Parameter for Connected Digit Recognition (숫자음 인식을 위한 K-L 동적 특징파라미터의 확장)

  • 일반적으로 인식률이 저조한 연속 숫자음의 인식 정도 향상을 위해서 K-L 동적특징의 확장에 대해서 검토한다. 이 검토결과를 4연속 숫자음을 대상으로 하는 인식 실험을 수행하여 숫자음 인식에 있어서 확장된 K-L 동적특징의 유효성을 확인하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 음성자료는 국어공학센터에서 채록한 4연속 숫자음을 사용하며, 확장한 K-L 동적특징의 유효성을 확인하기 위해서는 단일 특징 파라미터로서 멜-켑스트럼과 회귀계수, K-L 동적계수 등과 이들 특징 파라미터를 결합한 경우에 대해서 특징파라미터를 확장하여 K-L 동적 특징을 추출하고, 4연속 숫자음인식 실험을 수행하였다. 이때 인식의 기본 단위로는 48개의 유사음소단위를 음소모델로 사용하였으며, 인식실험에 있어서는 유한 상태 오토마타에 의한 구문제어를 통한 OPDP 법을 이용하였다. 인식 실험 결과, 단일 특징파라미터로서 멜-켑스트럼을 사용한 경우 67.5%, 이를 확장한 K-L 동적계수를 사용한 경우 78.2%를 보였다. 또한 결합한 특징파라미터에 있어서는 멜-켑스트럼과 희귀계수를 사용한 경우 78.4%의 인식률을 보였으며, 이를 K-L 동적계수로 확장한 경우 82.3%의 인식률을 얻어 확장한 K-L 동적특징파라미터의 유효성을 확인하였다.

  • In this study, we conducted a combined adsorption-sequential extraction analysis(CASA) to investigate temperature effects of single and competitive adsorption of zinc and copper on natural clays. As a result, it was found out that in a single adsorption of zinc, the adsorption was mostly in the exchangeable phase, with increase n temperature. In a competitive adsorption of zinc, this trend was so strong that the exchangeable phase adsorption increase up to 80~90%. On the other hand, about 50% of copper was adsorbed in the carbonate occluded phase in single and competitive adsorptions. In the single adsorption the adsorption of carbonate occluded phase increased by 5% with the temperature increase and in the competitive adsorption the increase rate is about twice. The adsorption of zinc and copper on natural clays is an endothermic reaction with the exception of exchangeable phase adsorption.

  • The characteristics of phosphate desorption on kaolinite was studied by batch adsorptiondesorption experiments. Desorption procedure was carried out through sequential extraction method at pH 4. The phosphorous contents were measured using UV-VIS-IR spectrophotometer with 820 nm wavelength. The adsorption-desorption reaction of P on kaolinite was irreversible, and most of adsorbed P on kaolinite were not easily dissolved to aqueous solution, but may might be fixed on kaolinite surface. The desorption isotherms were well fitted with the Freundlich and Temkin equations in the case of short reaction and long reaction time, respectively. The desorption reaction was divided into the early fast reaction and the later slow reaction. The percentage of desorption generally decreased with increasing adsorbed P concentration and increasing desorption reaction time.

  • 골프장 건축 시 하부지반 구축을 위해 사용하는 잔석의 산화로 인해 중금속 용출이 발생할 수 있다. 용출된 중금속으로 인근 농업지역이 오염될 경우 인간의 식생활에 직접적인 영향을 미쳐 인체건강에 악영향을 끼칠 수 있다. 특히, 망간의 경우 식품을 통해 과다섭취할 경우 정신착란, 운동실조 등 다양한 신경학적 문제를 발생시키기 때문에 망간 오염에 대한 조사 및 관리는 필수적이다. 따라서, 본 연구는 최근 골프장이 건설된 부산시 일광 회룡리 일대 농업지역에서 망간 오염 평가를 위해 지표수, 퇴적물, 벼 작물을 채취하여 망간 농도 분석을 수행하였다. 골프장 유출조부터 시작되는 관개수로에서 지표수와 퇴적물 시료를 약 20 m 간격으로 채취하였으며, 관개수로의 구조에 따라 논을 4개의 구역(Area 1 - 4)으로 구분하여 논 토양과 벼 작물을 채취하였다. 벼 작물의 경우 뿌리, 줄기, 곡물 부분으로 나누어 채취하였으며, 퇴적물과 논 토양은 시료 내 존재하는 망간의 형태를 확인하기 위해 연속추출법을 통해 분석하였다. 분석 결과 지표수의 망간 농도는 골프장 유출조에서 하류로 갈수록 감소하는 경향을 보였으며, 하류에서의 망간농도는 상류에 비해 최대 88% 감소하였다. 퇴적물의 망간 농도는 논으로 연결되는 지점에서 20,000 mg/kg 이상의 높은 농도를 보였으며, 농업이 진행 중인 3, 5, 7월은 최대 약 25,000 mg/kg의 농도를 보였으나, 농업이 끝난 9월에는 최대 약 3,500 mg/kg으로 상대적으로 낮은 농도를 보였다. 논 토양의 망간 농도는 관개수로와 첫 번째로 연결되는 Area 1에서 1,600 mg/kg으로 측정되었으며, 이는 EPA에서 권고한 논 토양 망간 기준 1,000 mg/kg을 초과하는 농도로 확인되었다. 또한, 식물이 사용할 수 없는Residual 형태의 망간 농도는 변화가 없었으나, 식물이 사용 가능한 Acid soluble, Reducible, Oxidizable 형태의 망간 농도는 추수기 이후 80% 이상 감소하였다. 벼 작물의 곡물 망간 농도는100 - 200 mg/kg으로 USDA에서 발표한 쌀 곡물 망간 농도의 평균인 5 mg/kg보다 약 20배 이상 높게 검출되었다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 골프장 유출조로부터 발생하는 망간오염을 식별하고 주변 농업지역에 미치는 영향을 확인할 수 있었으며, 추후 골프장 운영으로 인한 환경오염에 대한 관리가 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

A Study on Pitch Extraction Method using FIR-STREAK Digital Filter (FIR-STREAK 디지털 필터를 사용한 피치추출 방법에 관한 연구)

  • In order to realize a speech coding at low bit rates, a pitch information is useful parameter. In case of extracting an average pitch information form continuous speech, the several pitch errors appear in a frame which consonant and vowel are coexistent; in the boundary between adjoining frames and beginning or ending of a sentence. In this paper, I propose an Individual Pitch (IP) extraction method using residual signals of the FIR-STREAK digital filter in order to restrict the pitch extraction errors. This method is based on not averaging pitch intervals in order to accomodate the changes in each pitch interval. As a result, in case of Ip extraction method suing FIR-STREAK digital filter, I can't find the pitch errors in a frame which consonant and vowel are consistent; in the boundary between adjoining frames and beginning or ending of a sentence. This method has the capability of being applied to many fields, such as speech coding, speech analysis, speech synthesis and speech recognition.
