A Study on the Design of the Slip-Form System for the Construction of Tapered Concrete Pylons (변단면 콘크리트 주탑공사의 슬립폼 시스템 적용을 위한 설계기술 연구)

  • This paper studied design of slip form system considering the erection of a pylon mock-up. The height of the pylon is 10 m. A rectangular hollow cross-section was considered. The outer and inner dimensions of the pylons were varied with respect to the height. The thickness of 1 sides among the 4 faces were varied. Accordingly the slip form was designed to respond to continuous changes in its dimensions and thickness. Structural analysis was conducted to examine structural safety of the slip form. Virtual construction by BIM proved its practicality. The developed design technologies were successfully applied to the erection of a 10m high pylon executed for field verification test.

A Basic Study on the Varying Thickness Detection of Steel Plate Using Ultrasonic Velocity Method (초음파 속도법을 활용한 강판의 두께 변화 탐지를 위한 기초연구)

  • This study was initiated to develop an effective inspection method to detect defects such as corrosion in closed-cell steel members in steel-box girder bridges. The ultrasonic velocity method among various non-destructive method was selected as a rapid and effective method to derive the average propagation velocity in the medium by using the ultrasonic wave velocity method for specimens of different thickness. The regression analysis was performed based on the experimental results, and the results was interpolated to evaluate the prediction accuracy. If the material properties are identical, this ultrasonic velocity method can predict the thickness using the averaged transmitted velocity. In addition, a continuous scanning method moving at 200 mm/s was tested for scanning a wide area of a bridge. The results exhibited that the continuous scanning method was able to effectively scan the different thickness of a bridge.

Development of Corrosion Detection Method for Closed U-ribs in Steel Bridges Using Ultrasonic Velocity Method (초음파 속도법을 활용한 강교 부식 손상탐지법 개발)

  • This study was intended to develop an inspection method to detect defects in closed-cell steel members in steel girder bridges. The ultrasonic pulse velocity method was selected as a rapid and effective method to identify thickness changes of steel specimens caused by corrsion. This study developed an algorithm to expedite the process and improve the accuracy in the prediction of steel plate thickness. Also, both static and continuous scanning methods were compared to each other to identify the difference in accuracy, but the results revealed that both methods produce almost the same results. This study also provided the idea to calculate the height of water contained in the closed-cell steel member and results of laboratory experimental results. The water heights which is thicker than the steel plate thickness were detectable and predicted using the idea suggested by this study, but the water heights lower than the steel plate thickness were not possible. However, the results showed whether the steel member contains water or not.

  • 수자원이란 인간의 생활이나 경제활동 및 자연환경 유지 등을 하는데 이용할 수 있는 자원으로서의 물을 말하며 효율적인 수자원의 활용을 위해서는 수문조사가 필수적이라고 할 수 있다. 수문조사는 강수량, 수위, 유량, 유사량, 증발산량, 토양수분량을 측정, 조사, 분석하는 것이라고 할 수 있으며 이 중 유량은 강우-유출 관계 규명, 이수, 치수 등을 위해 높은 정확도의 관측자료가 필요하다. 그러나 하천유량은 장기간 연속적으로 관측하는 것이 어려우므로 특성 횟수의 유량조사를 통해 수위-유량관계곡선식(Rating curve)을 개발하여 수위로부터 연속적인 유량을 산정하여 활용하고 있어 이를 개선하기 위해 전자파표면유속계를 활용한 자동유량측정장치를 개발하였으며 측정자료 분석 및 알고리즘 고도화를 통해 신뢰도 높은 유량을 산정하고자 하였다. 운동하는 물체에 의하여 산란된 전자파의 주파수가 변하게 되는 현상을 도플러 효과라고 하며 이때의 주파수의 변화량을 도플러 주파수라고 한다. 전자파표면유속계는 하천 수면으로 전자파를 발사한 후 물 표면에서 반사되는 전자파의 도플러 효과를 이용하여 표면유속을 측정하는 것으로 전자파표면유속계를 교량 상류 방향으로 고정시켜 설치하였으며 측정된 자료는 유량관측 시스템에서 저장, 관리되고 물리적, 통계적 방법이 적용된 알고리즘을 통해 유량을 산정한다. 산정된 유량의 정확도 확보를 위해 바람 영향, 최적 환산계수 재산정, 통계분석 등을 통해 시스템의 유량산정 알고리즘 개선 방안을 도출하였으며 개선된 알고리즘이 적용된 유량은 NSE(Nash Sutcliffe Efficiency), PBIAS(Percent Bias), RSR(RMSE-observations standard edviation ratio)을 통해 평가하였다. 바람 영향은 유량 관측 고도화 매뉴얼(일본 토목연구소)의 경험식과 현장에서 관측된 풍향·풍속을 활용하여 분석하였으나 개선효과가 미미한 것으로 나타났으며 자동으로 관측된 유량자료에 포함된 무작위적인 변화량을 감소시키기 위해 경향성 분석을 병행하여 이동평균 방법을 적용하였다. 또한 ADCP 등을 활용한 유량측정성과와 수위-유량관계곡선식과의 비교·분석을 통해 수위별 최적 환산계수를 산정하여 유량산정 알고리즘에 적용한 결과 NSE는 0.980, PBIAS는 1.580, RSR은 0.142로 모두 Very Good(높은 상관성)으로 분석되어 유량자료의 정확도를 확보하였다.

Design Comparison of Composite Girder Bridges Designed by ASD and LRFD Methods (허용응력설계법 및 하중저항계수설계법에 의한 강합성 거더교 설계결과 비교)

  • The design comparison and flexural reliability analysis of continuous span composite plate girder bridges are performed. The girders are designed by the methods of allowable stress design (ASD) and load and resistance factor design (LRFD). For the LRFD design, the design specification under development mainly by KBRC, based on AASHTO-LRFD specification in case of steel structures, is applied with the newly proposed design live load which has been developed by analyzing domestic traffic statistics from highways and local roads. For the ASD based design, the current KHBDC code with DB-24 and DL-24 live loads is used. The longest span length for the 3-span continuous bridges with span arrangement ratio of 4:5:4 is assumed to be from 30 m to 80 m. The amount of steel, performance ratios, and governing design factors for the sections designed by the ASD and LRFD methods are compared. In the reliability analysis for the flexural failure of the sections designed by two methods, the statistical properties on flexural resistance based on the yield strength statistics for over 16,000 domestic structural steel samples are applied.

Effect of Guideway Characteristics on Runnability of Actively Controlled Maglev Vehicle (선로특성이 능동제어 자기부상열차의 주행성에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of present study is to examine the effect of guideway characteristics on runnability of low and medium speed maglev vehicle. Dynamic governing equation for 2-dof vehicle and optimal feedback control scheme are developed. And then the effect of vehicle speed, rail roughness, guideway deflection, continuity of spans, each span length on dynamic response of the UTM-01 maglev vehicle are investigated. From the numerical simulation, it is found that the gap between bogie and guideway does not increase greatly within design velocity of the vehicle. The response of vehicle are mostly affected by the guideway deflection rather than rail roughness. As a result of the present study, the runnability of maglev vehicle can be improved by reducing the maximum deflection of guideway and adopting the continuous girder systems.

Experimental Study of Modular Bridge Deck Made of GFRP Composite Materials (GFRP 복합재료를 이용한 조립식 교량 바닥판의 실험 연구)

  • A composite bridge deck system assembled from a modular profile with double-rectangular cell has been developed for highway bridges. This study is focused on the experimental characterization of flexure performance of pultruded GFRP deck under static loading. Several tests were conducted on single modules and adhesively bonded 2 and 5-modules. The specimen details such as dimensions, material properties and fiber architecture, and experimental set-up and testing procedure have been addressed. It is found that the presented GFRP composite modular deck is very efficient for use in bridges.

The Effect of Design Parameter on the Beam Depth of IPC Girder Continuous Bridge (교량설계 변수가 IPC 거더 연속교의 형고에 미치는 영향)

  • A existing design method of PSC girder bridges, according to total service loads, stress required tendon force at a time. Because this design method increases beam depth, design of long span is difficult. However, As UC girder stressing at difficult loading stages reduces sectional depth of PSC girder, both design and operation of long span bridges is possible. so, this study analyzes the effect of design parameter (Girder Strength, Girder Spacing, Span Length, Joint Strength) on the beam depth of IPC girder continuous bridges, and shows sectional depth of UC girder for design of long span bridges. According to analysis, when a continuous bridges of same length span is at strength of joint over strength of girder of 600kg/$cm^{2}$, a change of beam depth is observed and when a continuous bridges of different span length is at strength of joint below strength of girder of 600kg/$cm^{2}$, a change of beam depth is observed. In two case, a change of beam depth is mostly observed over strength of girder of 350kg/$cm^{2}$ according to analysis of deflection data, a continuous bridges of IPC girder is nearly satisfied.

Effects of Bridge Bearings by Structure-Track Interaction for Continuous Bridge applied CWR with Rail Expansion Joint under Temperature Load (레일신축이음 설치된 장대레일 적용 연속교의 구조물-궤도 상호작용에 의한 온도하중이 교량 받침에 미치는 영향)

  • The additional axial force of CWR(continuous welded rail) is occurred by structure-track interaction, in reverse, fixed supports of structure are applied the large load by that. Ratio of load which transferred on support through the bridge superstructure with one-side REJ by acceleration and braking load are stated in High-Speed Rail Design Criteria(2005). On the other hand the horizontal forces of support delivered to the load due to thermal loads has been no report about the criteria. Therefore, this study was performed the review of the reaction and displacement on support by structure-track interaction in a special bridge(composite brdiges, 45+55+55+45=200m) with REJ acting on the temperature load. As a result, because fixed support of a special bridge or a continuous bridge with REJ under the temperature load which is constant load has been acted the large lateral load by structure-track interaction, when determining the fixed bearing capacity of structure should be reflected in the results to secure the safety of structures was confirmed.

  • 일반적으로 연속경간을 가지는 강합성 I-형강 교량에 있어서 내부 지점 부근에서 상대적으로 큰 부모멘트가 발생하므로, 이에 경제적인 단면 활용을 위하여 변단면을 적용하여 휨강도를 증가시킨다. 본 연구에서는 기존 강도계산식에 관한 연구를 토대로 하여 비탄성 구간에 있는 변단면 I형보의 횡-비틀림 좌굴강도를 유한요소해석프로그램 ABAQUS(2007)를 이용하여 산정하고, 간편한 설계식을 제안하고 있다. 지간 한쪽 끝에 계단식 단면변화를 가지는 보에 대해서 고려하였으며, 플랜지 길이방향 비, 너비방향 비, 두께의 비로 계단식 I형보를 나타내었다. 해석에 사용된 단면매개변수는 36가지 조합이며, 비탄성 횡-비틀림 거동을 고려하기위하여 잔류응력 및 초기결함을 고려한 비선형해석을 실시하였는데, Pi(1995)등이 고려한 잔류응력의 형상과 국내 I형강 표준 치수 허용치에 근거하여 부재 길이의 0.1%를 초기제작오차로 고려하였다. 해석모델의 양쪽 끝단에는 모멘트하중을 재하하였다. 개발 제한된 식은 선형 모멘트 하중이 작용할 때 적용가능한 식으로 경제적이고 합리적인 설계에 적극 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
